eamonnshute..Handhelds are a much bigger market vs PCs.....
down the road. Nokia is likely to deploy Wave Systems technology downstream as is Ericsson and the others too. Alot of data traffic relating to business enterprise activity is going on via handheld devices and businesspeople would love to have the DocumentManager/SmartSignature/SmartSafe applets on there, not to mention the financial transaction security applets too.
Think about it....THIS IS BIG STUFF! REALLY BIG......
Tally HO
How many of you here know that Wave Systems was...........
asked to be a founding member of TCG but Wave declined for reasons that I am still unable to completely discern.
This is just my own intelligence and it is unsubstantiated but I think it is true....FWIW.
Tally Ho
ID THEFT is a Horrible Situation! Read this.........
http://www.consumer.gov/idtheft/index.html
This is why consumers will buy Intel/Wave technology.
Simple yet POWERFUL stuff.....
Tally Ho
WHY CONSUMERS WANT EMBASSY.....READ THIS!
http://www.consumer.gov/idtheft/index.html
This is why Intel wants Wave Systems. And....this is why all of us need EMBASSY.
NOW!
Tally Ho
SOROSMAN here. Alot of talk about Longhorn/LaGrande..........
today. IMHO, Wave will be an integral part of Longhorn/LaGrande. In what fashion and to what degree is anyone's guess. MSFT does not have the best record in terms of "squeaky clean" new software platforms. In fact, MSFT's record is pretty weak. However, MSFT's monopoly makes their weak record sort of superfluous. Consumers are "forced" to buy MSFT's products because everyone uses WINDOWS (or just about anyway). In the case of digital security, Gates has made it known that he wants to really nail it down. So....I think Gates will incorporate EMBASSY in some fashion. I still believe that Intel conferred with Gates before they went ahead with Wave Systems. Gates gave Intel the green light and so now we are hooked up with Intel.
LaGrande will certainly utilize EMBASSY. It makes no sense to come out with Wave Systems now and then "turn the tables" around with Intel's customers with some different product a short time later. That is silly.
Everyone ought to understand that Wave is not going for the "whole enchilada" when it comes to the digital security realm. They want to be a major part of Web Services as it relates to digital security. They want a piece of every digital transaction out there via SignOnline (the SmartSafe, SmartSignature), DocumentManager or FINREAD related applets. Wave does not want to make the chips. Wave wants to make the chip more secure, more interoperable, more robust and more versatile. Intel will make the chip. Wave Systems will make Intel's chip better. Remember the BASF adage? "We don't make alot of the things you buy. We make alot of the things you buy BETTER!" IMO, this is what Wave Systems is about in a sense. Wave Systems will not make Longhorn or LaGrande or anything else per se. Wave Systems will make all the above work BETTER! And therein, we are ubiquitous.
So....don't worry about Longhorn. Longhorn is something I look forward to because I think we will be part of Longhorn. The same thing with LaGrande. The same thing with whatever NSM come out with and STMicroelectronics and Infineon and NEC and Samsung and so on. I look forward to DELL being in the picture and HWP and Sun Microsystems and even CISCO. I look forward to Nokia and Qualcomm being in the picture somehow. I look forward to Motorola and AMD and Siemens and Philips Electronics being part of the picture.
It is an interesting picture, I must say!!!
Tally Ho
Good night everyonel. You too, Snackman.
Snackman...SOROSMAN HERE! I know you realize that.....
I am on the board since you read JL's reply to my post!
My understanding of what is going on regarding WAVX's past, present and future is an ESTABLISHED FACT.
You are a good guy. Just want to say HELLO.
You make an error in assuming you own the higher plane.
Tally Ho
ronle...My sentiments exactly. But keep in mind........
that Wave has been working hard for years to position itself appropriately with the socalled GORILLAS.
Hard and tedious work. Frustrating and mindbending follow thru in order to be at that spot wherein the company is accepted into the "exclusive clubhouse".
A tough but ultimately very rewarding path.....
Tally Ho
SPIN Good post. I think WAVX will get "full" TCG......
approval. This is not to say that other companies will not get "full" approval too. Everyone will share. However, I don't believe there are any other companies that offer the full suite of digital security products that WAVX offers and in the same fashion. Correct me if I am wrong on this score.
Deciding on the appropriate market cap is tricky. I will let the market decide that.
I think Barge is right. Web services is what it is all about and SKS has been very focused on this subject. He has said that he doesn't want to make the hardware. You know what I mean.
I don't think financing is a big issue right now. As for SSPX I don't really understand that company. Kinda mumbo jumbo to me. I think WAVX will get a whole lot more govt biz by working with the big gorillas.
Cubic was a nice score.
SPIN....I am going to buy some more WAVX on Monday. I have a hunch things are going to accelerate.
All the best
SPIN I still don't understand why you were so........
surprised given all the DD you have done. I was not surprised per se regarding the Intel announcement. IMO, it should have happened a long while ago, but I understand that Intel does alot of testing before they sign a deal. Indeed, SKS has made numerous mentions about doing work with Intel. SKS has also made numerous mentions regarding work with Gates and with IBM too. I don't understand why this all comes as such a surprise.
I am also not too surprised about the recent CUBIC deal either. I think alot of deals are now going to happen and I think they will happen sooner rather than later. Indeed, I think I will buy some more WAVX on Monday. Maybe alot more.
I also think that we will get some real analyst coverage very soon. The fact is that there are not that many companies like Wave Systems out there. I think that a thoughtful young analyst would sense that becoming the first one to cover such a unique company might turn out to be a rather big feather in one's cap.
My timing is sometimes incredibly good. I trust my intuition. Thank goodness because it has been very fortuitous in so doing.
Tally Ho
Jesse, yup Lark is a good man. He also understood that......
WAVX "had the goods" to be a MAJOR player. That is why he came over to the company. Took alot longer than he figured, I bet. I think the Spragues did the best they could under the circumstances. I know most people will take issue with me. But, it takes alot of work to get the gorillas to "bless" your company. The gorillas want only a very very few companies in their clubhouse. Oh well.....
The point is that now it becomes a question of how things ACCELERATE from here.
Good to hear from you.
SPIN...it seemed that you were sorta surprised by the
INTC deal. I will reread your recent posts, but I sensed that you were surprised that a gorilla like INTC would "bless" Wave Systems. Frankly, I wasn't surprised by the INTC deal at all.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a DELL or MSFT deal come along in the not too distant future. I think we are going to get a deal with STM sooner or later. Makes sense.
Anyway, witht the exception of MSFT, everything down the pike is just gravy. The INTC deal basically made the company. INTC doesn't do a deal unless they have tested the tech inside and out. INTC doesn't do a deal unless it sees a major strategic fit. WAVE SYSTEMS really hit a grand slam!
Actually, I would be surprised if MSFT did not utilize WAVX at this point. In fact, I don't think INTC would have done the deal without checking it out with Gates for the green light. I think Gates is going to use Wave in some fashion. Then we celebrate even more.
Tally Ho
SPIN...couple facts to consider today vs yesterday.
First, the digital world is ready for "security" NOW! I hope you don't need the reasons why. Pretty obvious. Before 9/11 and rapidly growing "identity theft", most of us were hoping for the best. Well, now all of us realize we need top notch security.
Second, 64 million shrs traded just today. That tells you something right there. BTW, Intel doesn't do a deal unless it has gone through ALOT of due diligence in every respect.
Third, I think the relationships with HWP, NSM and NEC are still very much alive. I think the relationship with IBM is still very much alive too. Do you have any hard proof to the contrary?
Fourth, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see other founding members of the TCG doing some BIG deals with WAVE in the near future. Makes perfect sense to me.
Frankly, there is alot of info out there to tell you what is going to likely happen. Think about it!
Tally Ho
DRM...the bottomline is that in the very near future.....
when you see "Intel Inside" on your PC, it will ALSO MEAN
"Embassy Inside". THAT SAYS EVERYTHING!!!
Tally HO
Mighunter You can rest assured that in the last hour........
the stock price will FLUCTUATE.
Tally Ho
I have a hunch that alot of "digital companies" are going.......
to climb aboard our wagon as a result of the INTEL "blessing". In what order and by whom is anybody's guess. BUT...alot of players are going to fall in line now.
Tally Ho
zoomer... the market makers at the big firms are probably
going ballistic tryin' to manage this situation. Frankly, I don't feel sorry for them at all for the obvious reasons. Sort of amusing to see them NOT IN CONTROL for a change.
Tally Ho
I guess the shorts are having trouble getting out.
What a pity! ha ha ha....
Even SOROSMAN is flabbergasted. Alot must be going on behind....
the scenes. Very very interesting......
Tally Ho
Oneputt...Frankly, I hope the shorts are shorting more.
I doubt it but I hope they are shorting more stock like crazy.
BTW, I like your board name. Oneputt...I like it!
So LHF....you clearly have everything figured out.
So go short some more stock if you think your crystal ball is so clear.
Tally Ho
LHF You sound really DESPERATE!
How many shares are you short?
Tally Ho
LHF Couple of FACTS to ponder.............
First, INTEL has "blessed" WAVE SYSTEMS as the world's most credible digital security system.
Second, the SEC is starting investigations into hedge funds. Your bucketshop is the first one on the hit list.
Tally Ho
HAS EVERYONE READ THE "WINDOWS" REFERENCE HERE?
Thank you to the poster who attached this article. Everyone ought to study closely the explicit reference to "WINDOWS" in this article.
Tally Ho
CPA Did you hear this rumor?
Saudis backing Osama are bankrolling hedge funds and instructing them to short the market in order destabilize the capital markets in the Western world. The goal is to create an ongoing climate of uncertainty, distrust and nervousness so as to derail consumer/business confidence in the marketplace.
The SEC has decided to investigate the hedge fund industry based on intelligence coming from Homeland Security and the CIA alluding to the abovementioned.
At a minimum, the SEC wants to lift the shroud of secrecy surrounding the hedge fund industry. More disclosure is the goal so as to determine who is funding the industry and what practices are being pursued to meet fund objectives.
More later....
martini..Who cares? Alot more people read DOW JONES!
Tally Ho
I am seeing a TON of A.H. activity. Incredible!!!!
Tally Ho
Will Bear Stearns/Guiliani Buy WAVE SYSTEMS?
New VC mutual fund investing in "security" starts with $300 million. Will Rudy & Company buy a little WAVX?
Tally Ho
martini..INTC WAS HIGHLIGHTED. See attached>>>>>
http://biz.yahoo.com/djus/030731/0940001170_2.html
Dow Jones....Tally Ho!
john martini...the Volume today means A GREAT DEAL!
I think it is quite possible that events will now begin to ACCELERATE!!
Tally Ho
2bS...My feeling is that MSFT (Windows) and INTEL are......
joined at the "hip". They both need each other. Frankly, it is quite possible that MSFT gave INTEL the "go ahead" on this initiative because MSFT needs EMBASSY or something like it. Indeed, MSFT is running out of time to get something like EMBASSY on the Windows platform. So, MSFT gives INTEL the green light and the race is on.
It's pretty much a done deal now. Tally Ho
2bS....Your scenario is quite possible. However, I think......
that a "safer" bet would be WAVX @ $12-20/shr within 12 months.Over the next 24 months I think the stock will trade well above $20. Tally Ho
2bS...WINTEL remains intact. AMD is a tough little company.....
but it remains so small after all these years. Fact is that INTEL has "blessed" WAVE SYSTEMS. No denying this. WINDOWS will run on INTEL. It has to because INTEL owns the market. So, INTEL's"blessing" of WAVE SYSTEMS is a de facto "blessing" by WINTEL. Hence, WINDOWS will use WAVE SYSTEMS in some fashion in the near future. Tally Ho
INTEL HAS "BLESSED" WAVE SYSTEMS! HENCE, THE WINTEL......
juggernaut has "blessed" WAVE SYSTEMS. Therefore, MSFT has "blessed" WAVE SYSTEMS. This means WINDOWS will use WAVE SYSTEMS in some sort of capacity. Just imagine it!!!
Tally Ho
micro...Yup! INTC & MSFT are joined at the hip.
INTC has given WAVX the "blessing". Hence, WINTEL has given WAVX the "blessing"....which means that WINDOWS will use WAVX in some sort of capacity. Tally Ho...
Today's news means WAVX will be used by MSFT........
in all likelihood. Tally Ho
awk It's a DONE DEAL NOW. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!!
Tally Ho......
Hi Snackman. Sorosman here. Check out post 1409.
Tally Ho........
Game, Set & Match! Shorts are DEAD!
nice
I guess my timing is pretty good!
WOW....
