I just want them to use the word BLOCKCHAIN a few times at the conference. Maybe that will give us a nice pop.
The company needs a NEW revenue stream. Expiring patents ...or burning cash to collect on expired patents ain't going to cut it.
What is there to like about the reorganization????
Is there anyone here that could make heads or tails of that news???
It may as well have been written in Latin

Not just copy machines!
You miss my point.
Since you are not the only one that subscribes to this indicator, and certainly screens must set to constantly find stocks that meet this indicator, where is the volume?
You’d think it would be easy money?
Shouldn’t the rest of the universe of traders and machines be piling into the stock now ....... if the indicator you reference has been reached?
They sold the news two weeks ago.
This is not news.
Plus .... don’t they get another 45 million cash when they buy the targeted company...,,,
Not sure but it’s showing up .24 after-hours.
Volume drying up .......could those two funds be finished liquidating?
Anyone have access to that kind of info?
Seems like a “strange” theory....
Early investors all of a sudden want OUT because things are so good for Fnjn?
Closing funds? Seems like such a “fake news”.
That being said.... I added a few at 3.02 today near the close.
Isn't the writing on the wall that there is an acquisition in the cards?
The sysmantec settlent pretty much telegraphs it.
I want to see an acquisition and I want the company to have BLOCKCHAIN in its name!
Just added
Not sure but I opened a position after last weeks settlement and subsequent "idcc-like" drift south.
Paul we
Saw you mention this on the idcc board.
I jumped right in. Good story.
Thanks
We are so lucky to be where we are.
They put themselves up for sale and were laughed at.
It's amazing we survived that at all.
When it finally pops to the upside, it's going to be quick and violent and awesome.
I suspect that something positive will make this stock pop soon.
Small market cap stock with its fingers on the future, sitting on a mountain of cash and paying a nice dividend.
Hard to find gems like this.
IMO
.....we stay together for sake of the Dog!
As for this growing, innovative, dividend paying, cash hoarding company............ that's another story!
If I had the dry powder, I'd be adding here.
I recently opened a position in OKTA,
and sold some IDCC last year to open a position in LITE.
But today's reaction to IDCC is way over done IMO.
Good Luck.... Im staying LONG!
Maybe they will. They are sitting on that boatload of cash. This board is over reacting today.
This stock will bounce back.
Future is bright.
Seeking Alpha Says ......
InterDigital beats by $0.49, beats on revenue
Feb. 22, 2018 8:33 AM ET|By: Niloofer Shaikh, SA News Editor
InterDigital (NASDAQ:IDCC): Q4 EPS of $1.48 beats by $0.49.
Revenue of $205.3M (-25.0% Y/Y) beats by $13.93M.
No volume. No interest.
Wall street does not care about this company.
Such a great little company ...... but nobody cares.
Okta Has A 'Competitive Advantage,' Needham Says In Bullish Initiation Of Security Provider
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/okta-competitive-advantage-needham-says-161445623.html
Where did you see that?
Nice bump ....but no volume.
Its a pity nobody wants to buy them.....
Crappy news ..... silver lining...
So Apple decides to invest on Finisar,
a company struggling to produce what Apple needs.
The truth is that both Lumentum and Finisar are going to benefit from the coming boom in VCsels.
The silver lining is that demand is 10 times higher this quarter ..... both companies will be struggling to keep up with demand in the future.
ALL smart phones, not just Apple, will be using these VCsels
Interesting.... IOT
I was looking into a new oven for one of my restaurants.....
The oven will send a message to the manufacturer when a part breaks and notify a technician to come and install it.
No news out on the recent decline?
PATENTS - As a form of compensation.
I still do not have a clear understanding of why IDCC takes patents as payment.
Its not like LG or anyone is transferring a patent that is collecting a royalty from Widget company.
Are these patents used as a tool to reap some tax / earning benefit or part of some fancy accounting revenue recognition equation?
IDCC has over thousands of patents that are not monetized ....why add to the inventory of useless patents??
Loop? Olddog?
Putting Mister and Mickey on ignore takes care of a lot.
I would NOT however ever ignore Dmiller. You need to be aware of his appearances as its a STRONG BUY signal when he posts anything negative.
I went back and searched:
It looks like Qcom had won a summary judgement against Motorola in August of 1999, then settled all litigation with Ericsson a short tile later.
Court "win":

Settlement that started it all:

Then went on to rise:
"Qualcomm rose 2,619 percent in 1999."

I'm with LOOP, this was an historical win. IDCC Patents are ruled VALID and INFRINGED. I wouldn't worry if the stock doesn't react to this news this week or this month, but its coming.
What was the valid and infringed court case that put Qcom on the map?
I seem to recall a valid and infringed court win, a sort of 2 month lull in the stock price....... then a settlement with Erickson that sent the stock on a multiyear rocket ride.
Here's hoping.
Thanks loop. Great post.
When I think back to my years as a Rambus investor, with all the litigation they are involved in.....
I can't remember any patents being ruled valid and infringed by a court.
Uh oh......
I'm expecting a flurry of Micky posts related to this arbitration news!
Never fails
I continue to support management so I must be out of my mind.
Loop,
Please reconsider.
Use the ignore button.
I only belong here to read your stuff and that of a few others.
Thank you for posting.
If you are well enough to post more....
I'd love to hear
Only 24 points off that all time high!
Seems like a long time ago.....
I can't even remember what had sparked that move.
30 plus years slinging beers in Hell's Kitchen Bars..... no participation trophies here.
But you do learn real fast what separates the men from the boys.
Not yet.
Let's get rolling first
