aw c'mon. where did you get this info?
As I believe someone pointed out pitman, it's not about the members but the covered lives. 1300 sounds meager, I would agree. No harm/no foul when the number represents millions or billions of lives.
Warcton, most logical post of the day. Thanks.
Although I am not eligible to vote since only own commons, Fidelity tells me that Kurtzman Carlson is their agent for voting procedures in the correspondence I received today.
Yeah whammys. I would much rather discuss red blood cell corpuscles, antigens, stems cells and the like vs SEC and FB connections. There's always a party pooper, right?
That's a good point holter. My dentist is on FB and I don't think she is being investigated by the SEC lol. Maybe Matt will set up a business account. I have enjoyed reading the information on his FB pages.
That's an interesting observation and good point. Thanks vegas
hmmm that's an interesting comment. Wish it had come to pass. GLTU
Such an interesting post mofnc. Haven't absorbed it all but admire your for your DD
No one responded to you ericmuscle but I think you make a valide point concerning the long term play...GLTU/A
I don't know about the hint dropped from a proud one but I am still pondering why Dew and Matt ate Argentina beef on the same date??? Not trying to pump, truly don't get it. Sounds positive to me.
I'm in. I love this board and the team spirit. It was especially intriguing to be noticed by street.com as WaMu zombie vultures or is it vulture WaMu zombies who need to give up. Haven't sifted through all the posts but I'm sure it was posted. A proud card carrying member myself! Worth a loss to be a part of the excitement IMO. Dblevns@aol.com
idk indebt2. I'm a believer in the vision but at the same time a realist. Could be next week or the week after or the week beyond. That's how the penny stocks work, right? I do think that cord blood business is in it's infancy and anything is possible. I do think there is a bigger vision of which we are not privvy to from CBAI and Matt... but that's just my intuition.
Congrats locks as well as the proud parents!!!
Here's a simple question...why did you and Matt eat Argentina beef on the same day??? Can't help but notice as it is my nursing assessment skills. Pays to be a FB member, I gues.
It's not too funny at all bhapa. Please explain. I have been following cord blood for several months and mofnc posts something of relevance and she is bashed. I don't get it. Appreciate your DD so we can all learn.
Nice post holter. ty
I'm a proud, card carrying, Wamu vulture Jest. Just as they said it the top 10 amazing things in the street.com GLTA
Article was awesome. Thanks. IMO here is the most important part.
“We’ve got tourism, and now we are focusing on the medical side. We hope to become a center of medical tourism over the next five to 10 years,” Hollingsworth says. “People will come here for treatment.”
Awesome post Strike. It pays to network!
The things you learn right here. Never heard of a greyhound but sounds good to me. Binged it, actually. Excellent.
I am perhaps of the sentiment believing that no one needs a judge, male or female, to bring down the hammer. If one has the courage to put the true bottom line players in a room to go for the jugular, the truth will be found. The tricky thing IMO is not to enable either player to put forth their hand too early. I always say that I spent the first xx years of my career learning to speak up and the second xx years learning to keep my mouth shut. I am not really that old but you get the pic
OK you win. Drinks in vegas for you.
Thanks boarddork. A prize to the first person who can identify the diff between the 1st and 2nd amended agenda. geez
Nice Summary Agent. Most boards won't update you in that fashion. Wonder if the mods would put in ibox.
Maybe I should know this but I don't. Is Vivicells publicly traded? I saw the symbol VCI but can't find it from my usual sources.
Absolutely booger. You're the best.
That's the funny/interesting part PIT. If there were no people bashing, almost everyone would agree with you. We've all seen a "ghost town" on the penny boards, right?
There is no money here. No value. No profit. Just debt and dilution.
Nice post ML, as usual
I worked in a hospital a few administrations ago that was the designated trauma site for White House officials visiting the area should the President or any VIP official be injured. The hospital was near the airport and a Level I Trauma center. About a week before the Pres/VP visit, the place was crawling with officials planning what route would be taken should an injury occur and the Emergency Dept, OR, ICU etc was all inspected for safety and the ability to create privacy. Evidently, this process occurs in every city the President and other officials visit to insure their safety. This was a few years before 9/11 so I can only imagine the security procedures that are in place now. So I'm sure you are correct that a high level of inspection has occurred for the visit.
Thanks Pitman. I knew about the event but this article has interesting detail.
Great answer diannedawn. Life and the possibility of life are very different things IMO. GLTU
It is HUGE mofnc, I agree, but think about how many people you know that are having a baby in order to harvest umbilical stem cells to pass on to their affected offspring needing transplant for whatever God awful disease. An unfortunate few. I say this because I think that many are waiting for an immediate jump in pps but that may not happen. No problem in my book. Just preparing for responding to the naysayers we all know on this board. Let's not let them take over the board.
yes absolutely agree with your analysis of the risk/benefit of insurers buying into the sibling needing a donor match idea. Why not? It's a niche market for them and there are a handful of people in that time and place. Makes them look good and they avoid the inevitable appeal process. In the future, I think there will be a broader view but for now this works.
vicar, i think you hit the bottom line. GLTU
what was the answer locks. Missed it evidently.sorry
Ding ding ding....follow the CMS rule, I think I mentioned a few posts back. You have the DD skills to follow the money. Thank you. I hope this newest track moves us forward. I am reading a lot about how private companies getting waivers to opt out of health care. As you know, the whole thing comes together in 2014 when covered lives are multiplied by the public option. I can understand that impact on businesses is huge. Until then, Hit or Miss IMO but still am holding strong.
You left out the best part Booger. They give you two weeks when determined to be pregnant to start the dates calculating. All is based on your last missed period. It would mess everything up at this point to make pregnancy 38 weeks instead of 40.
I don't necessarily believe in what the dems tell me or the republicans, for that matter, but I have to say that I am so amazed by people advocating for an embryo when they have actually never seen one. Of course an embryo is only an embryo for 8 weeks at which time it becomes a fetus. Most clinicians will never see an embryo because it isn't visible to the naked eye without a microscope. A fetus could not live outside of a womb independently until at least 23/24 weeks, and then it's still no guarantees that the newly born baby will survive. One gets a unique feeling when looking at a fetus who hasn't made it at birth. It's a sad feeling and at the same time I think most clinicians would agree that the feeling afloat is that anyone involved wants to do better for the life that was lost and not let the fetus die in vain.
hmmm too dicey maybe for the boards but I have thought about posting similar information many times and restrained myself.
That's the incredible thing about medicine...there is no map or compass. It is only what true scientists are able to decipher with their advanced technology, and then at the end of the day it is only a theory tested and retested over time at best. The true subscribers marvel at the miracle of human life and how slowly the secrets of life itself unfold themselves. THEN out of the clear blue a secret is revealed and all of us say DUH why didn't we think of that?
I have no idea what the knock me over with the feather thing is with CBAI but I do have a recent medical example of how this thing tends to play out in general. For years and years, children were born with spina bifida or some might call it myelomenigocele. No one really knew why this occurred but it was devastating because the child was born without the use of their lower extremities and wheel chair bound. After years of research, it was determined, through lots of grant money supported by the March of Dimes, that the condition was due to a deficiency of B12 during the mother's pregnancy specifically during the embryonic stage of development for the baby (1st 8 weeks). Simple. Question answered. Implement the necessary corrective measures, during pregnancy.
Why do I bring up all this rhetoric at such a time like this...the pps hovering close to .003++? IMO it is all about positioning. The debate will continue for years and years, (I am sure) whether or not adult or cord blood cells are superior. blah blah blah. The only person who really knows for sure is God. Apparently international companies are able to attract USA patients interested in aggressive treatment related to umbilical cord blood. They don't have the FDA overhang but are minus the capital. hmmmm seems like a perfect marriage for forward thinking entities. Our day will materialize when least expected.
I am thirsty CBAI. Is it aLL a mirage, my mind playing tricks on me in the hot desert sun or are we coming upon an oasis in this stock desert? Almost a yr marching without a map and compass. Some guidance would be nice
You are so smart mofnc. I was going to respond to ML about this very topic, after thinking about it awhile. If a medical entity merges with someone who is already accredited, say in AABB procedues, the new entity needs to reapply for the combined new status but it is a more or less an abbreviated process and the application has a "leg up" on the process. I am not familiar with application procedures for foreign entities so that is a mystery to me.
