Change of thought.....Since the two tests appeared to have gone extremely well, that sure should put us all more at ease about their ability to complete Sanswire 2 and 3 as projected.
True, it would be nice to know the particulars of the test, i.e. altitude, payload, etc., but if all were impressed and satisfied, IMHO, that bodes well for the future.
Please don't.....................nuf said
Great report....should be understood by all....I knew there was some reason to check in after work. R
Today's move can't be the result of the e-mail from Tim.
Perhaps there are some folks in LV who have been impressed with the showing??
Looks like, if you are pre-registered.......you should be able to attend Monday eve, if it fits in to your schedule. Will look forward to any reports..
Very good & concise report. Here's hoping the smiles get transferred to the rest of us after Las Vegas.
I noticed that their specs (goal) was to have an unmanned vehicle that would stay aloft for 30 days. If we can do 18 months we should have more than a leg up!!
1. Yep, it appears that you are right. He was with us & now isn't. The agreement apparently has resulted from a disagreement over unpaid salary, bonuses, incentives for performance, etc.
2. Yep, it appears that the shares will be registered & unrestricted as soon as each installment is placed in the proper brokerage account. Therefore they could be sold whenever....without any particular waiting period.
3. Depends on the total ## of shares held as to whether he would still be classed as an insider or major owner.
4. This is not a registration statement of an 'intent to sell'.
I view the PR as an indication that things may just proceed to completion faster. I certainly agree that (IMHO) computer testing of airframe, motors, components, etc. could really save time in the long run, as well as save us potentially millions of dollars.
Side item: One other stock I have just announced today that they will be ringing the bell at the AMEX on June 17th. They started trading there on May 5th of this year. Don't know if any conclusions can be drawn from this month and a half delay versus our very short-term delay. At a minimum it may indicate that the GTE folks were really prepared for the move.
e-mailed Ameritrade this am. Response received now indicates that the charge is valid, but as a courtesy they will make a one-time credit for the $20, which should show up within 4 days. Now have to work on Morgan Stanley for the round-up share. Rich
Just got an e-mail from WallSt.net. We made their Weekly Top 10 list. Now just have to figure out how to get it over here for you all to look at. Rich
When I looked at the AMEX site the other day, I thought I saw a link to view a video of the 'bell-ringer' for the day. We might find that the AMEX does this every day as part of their PR.
Apperars that we are now waiting until the end of the year to be really 'in the black'. Oh well, progress is still good.......and it beats the heck out of waiting for dengue fever outbreaks.
I for one am glad to hear of the ## of current employees working on this part of the business.....and the estimates of the number needed to produce the commercial quantity.
SP guesses are on the other board.....
If the technology is viable, IMO, we'll be one of the giants.
Very good..........seems everybody knows who Rocky is
Was glad to see that Tim looks young enough to still be a rebel/cutting-edge/take-a-chance person.
Just got home from doing taxes.............Don't be concerned with delays. This IMO is similar to Colunbus not sailing off the edge of the earth. Not many believed in him either.
The pix so far are fine. We all should be glad so many could attend and that they have provided any pix. I'm sure there may be even more I haven't opened yet. Chill out for awhile and contemplate the possibility of real income tax problems.
To all who will be attending the showing................have a safe trip over and back. We all will be looking forward to your info with much anticipation. IMO a lot of the questions of the past few months will be answered tomorrow. I believe that Tim & the gang have planned everything well and all that awaits is the actual launch & subsequent test. To get a better feel for that, would someone (or 2 or 3) please post their general feelings about the attitude of the presenters, as that could tell us a lot in addition to the actual words that are said. TIA. Rich
get a life..................
Or....since here we do not predict or guess at SP, go over to the TA cite & see what they know.
Here's hoping you're right. Contrary to what the majority seem to be saying 24-7, it is my guess that only about 1-2% of those posting here really don't want ultimate sucess.
I assume that audited financials are needed...........when better but the end of the year report???
THanks Rock................now my mind can wander aimlessly here..
Thanks for all Rock...........I don't blame you a bit, though we all hate to see the change. Guess if you have to beat the dead horses (and I don't mean GTEL) long enough, it takes all the fun out of life in general......................Retirement shouldn't be as stressful as it appeared to be for you. Rich
I'll take a stab at your question about the film choice.....
1. Fuel cells IMO would add too much weight to the payload, and/or
2. The portion you 'bolded' indicates that the film would work well for Lockheed's "30-day or longer missions". I believe that the key words there are......"or longer".
Sorry, but don't agree. There will obviously be a public viewing, but my take is that the actual launch date will be set sometime after the public viewing. Can't see them letting all the shareholders run around on launch day poking, proding and asking questions while all are concentrating on the job at hand. It also would be much easier to manage a small crowd in one central location for a 'look' rather than take care of a lot of folks for perhaps several hours on launch day. (given the perceived restricted access problems on the base)
Having said that, however, I sure hope I'm wrong and that those of you who are able can be there to report to the rest of us.
Just a mis-alligned thought........concerning the 'one in a million chance' referenced in Popular Science. If the airline industry can design new airplanes, do all the necessary "what ifs" on computers, and then build it & get it to fly....what is keeping us from doing the same. I know the overall idea of keeping a strat aloft for 12-18 months seems a little futuristic, but so have many other breakthroughs. Has anyone any knowledge about the system or programs that might be in use relating to the design and/or operation of the strat?? TIA
That was certainly another informative post
AGAIN...there isn't. Mostly suppliers who received stock in lieu of cash have filed to sell. They may or may not sell to convert their efforts to cash, but they can't sell without filing before sale.
I know you didn't ask me, but NO, I don't think the preferreds were issued to facilitate increased shorting. The real problem with shorting is the 'naked' kind. Don't have any idea where we stand there, but it can be done with or without an increase in the number of legitimate outstanding shares.
Actual shorting, covered by existing shares is just a fact of life for a public company. Besides, the preferreds were issued by a prior management team....
Don't want to see a PR today....sorry. If one comes out it may have been prepared prior to the meetings. Id rather see one sometime next week after there has been time to digest the meeting results.JMO
I hate to fuel the fire, but I dn't think we can yet ring the final bell and determine which group is 'right'. No doubt most here are wondering why we're still here, but IMHO the redemption of the preferreds would not have ever happened if the current BOD were not interested in the company and it's future. I don't know what kind of mess they inherited from B-right nor how long it will (or would) take to clear it up.
I know as well as anyone that it's hard to sit and wait when we really don't know whether we're waiting for the final bell or the starting gun. How 'bout we tone things down a little & talk about fishing again while we wait???
Thanks for all Doc. We sure have come a long way since the days of Dengue Fever test kits, haven't we??? Rich
If the 00 is the price of the preferreds, that's probably right. If it's the ## of preferreds you now have, then I'd call the brokerage and ask them who they gave the new common shares to!!!
Apparently not everyone today believes the one in a million prediction
Don't tell anyone, but I just checked my acct. on line. I also have new common shares in place of the preferreds. Could it be that after the current BOD clears up the situations created by previous Boards, they will actually have time to work on the business plan?? Any ideas Eugene??
Sure would like to see things at least progreee to where filings were brought up to date & continue. That would really be cause for celebration......and even perhaps an increase in sp.
Re ACHD.............Late in 2002 I e-mailed to Daniel at the last address I had for him.(Can't remember exactly, but I think I may have written a letter also). I inquired about the status of ACHD & whether he had any notion of corporate revival or, in the alternative, if he knew of any reason why any possible losses should not be claimed in appropriate tax returns.....(I actually had some purchased shares, ugh). Since I received no response.......Schedlue D loss to offset gains.
If you only shares were distributed to you as a div. from CVIA, I guess you may just have some new wallpaper to cover the hole in the wall made by the doorknob.
I've been with Datek (now Ameritrade) for several years. $10.99 for any ## of BB stocks (or any trade)is very appealing. Now with their new web site, you can indicate a purchase or sale to be 'all or none'. This can be a big benefir when dealing with lower volume/sp securities.
Someone may have already replied.............but, for what it's worth, I don't think the Joint Chiefs are going to let Tim issue a PR printing their schedule. Some (or all) may be there. I'd just as soon know after it's done....if it'e relevant at all to my investment. We shareholders don't run the business, or the pentagon, so we shouldn't be in the main stream for planning purposes. Enough rambling..
I will assume that Colo. is also a rumor. But, I imagine that there could well be several smaller versions of the strat lying (or flying) around. It is entirely possible that we are not privy to all the R&D going on here.
I don't plan on doing anything but waiting. I've been here since the dengue fever test kits, so I obviously have no intentions of leaving now. I'm really looking forward to the next two filings. Without the strats, we should be a viable company. With them...................
