Yes, I was lucky and couldn't be happier!

I've had a buy order in for a while (month) at a "bargain basement" price. Just got notified that it filled. That price doesn't even show on thinkorswim TDAmeritrade
Not complaining, but probably way down after hours here in the USA.
Tomorrow I will be shopping for some more at an even lower price.
Good luck to all!
MD
Jugs,
You are welcome and thank you for the input.
As for Mad Money, it has been so long since I viewed the show that I had a difficult time understanding and following his banter.
It is a good thing that I have closed captioning on my television or I wouldn't have picked out anything Cramer said.
the older and somewhat wiser.....MD
I thought the CEO did a pretty good interview.
He was confident in the product and process without over-hyping it. In my opinion, this interview style of cautious but confident versus a b.s. pump, is the best way to proceed. The Avita product and process works and works well. We already know that to be true. The healing rates of patients varies from person to person and depends on many factors. By using Avita's product, the amount of suffering that a burn patient has to endure has been reduced as well as the cost in time and money. It is good to get the story out to a larger audience.
Besides, just about anyone in the vicinity of J. Cramer is going to appear calm and collected.
I expected a larger "pop" in the stock price today, but it will come eventually.
IMHO

This is a short but good read on the projected uses for some our 5g technology.
If IDCC could just successfully monetize the patents that these industries will be using, this company and stock would soar in value.
If only ................

WELL !
Nevermind.................

I understand and thank you.

L-T-F,
Thanks for those suggestions.
I think that strategy (selling puts) would work very well for making some money and even getting some additional cheap shares put to you if, and I emphasize if, you believe the share price will sink which would result in better offers for lower strike puts. If the share price rises, those offers to buy your puts would dry up. Right or wrong?
I believe (and wrongly so, many times in the past) that the price will continue to rise. I established my floor price for acquiring more shares with the purchase of calls at that strike price. I'll try to sell most of those calls as the share and call price rises and utilize that money towards exercising the remaining calls to pick up more shares at my desired price point. I'm not sure if that is a good plan, but it seems to make sense to me.
Stock options are risky and the various highly detailed strategies can be confusing but profitable if you know what you are doing. I, however do not know much more than what I've described to you. I am unwilling to risk tens of thousands of dollars on something about which I am so ignorant.
Now "Vegas" would probably be the person to discuss which plans work best.
Besides, trying to figure out what this stock is going to do next is nearly impossible for amateurs like myself. It is like pulling the handle on the slot machine in the casino.
Good luck to you and take care.
Good day for long stock holders. Congrats to all.
And..........I have finally learned my lesson after 20+ years. Bought some cheap in the money calls during the height of yesterday's despair. Plan to sell some for a quick profit and exercise some for a good buy on more stock. Now how could that plan go wrong?
I Do eventually learn!
I was wishing the Mick was here to cheerlead us.
as always, IMHO

Ah one thing is constant. Stock price action on earnings release day never fails to disappoint.......longs. Manipulation as usual.
On the plus side for today, dividend was paid out.
Better than nothing!
Well ! Damn ! At this point, I am glad I've had more patience and less brains (so far).
Let's hope this trend continues until we each approach and exceed our personal goals for the stock price.
Yup. Except for a couple of penny stocks, IDCC has been the biggest percentage loser in my portfolio for the last two business days.
Sad!
Thanks J,
Courage or ignorance....not sure which it is. Sometimes they are one in the same.
Time will tell.
Good luck to all.
Are there any comments on today's action?
I picked some more shares but unfortunately, not at the low.
Thanks in advance.
Here is to hoping that IDCC can cash in on this growth of "5G" that is forecast by 2024.
Here is to hoping WE are still here to benefit from IDCC's profits.
Research: 1.9 billion 5G mobile broadband subscriptions forecasted by 2024
https://electronics360.globalspec.com/article/13827/research-1-9-billion-5g-mobile-broadband-subscriptions-forecasted-by-2024?
This POS (poor old stock) just can't seem to gain any traction or upward momentum.
We sure could use some blockbuster good news, and soon.
......just bored today.......
MD
Yup Fmello. I've been sucked into quite a number of the pump and dumpers over the years.
I'm slowly learning my lessons.
Watch.
Research.
Watch some more.
Then maybe buy a little and watch and research some more.
I still get "took" once in awhile.
Thanks for the comments and good luck to you.
MD
jugs,
I know I didn't need to convince You of Avita's potential value. You most likely know more about this company than I ever will.
If you are referring to Cynata Therapeutics (CYYNF); I have not looked at it until this moment. I will do a quick study to see what they offer. It looks like they have some of the same technology as AVMXY, but they appear to be way, way under the radar.
If you have faith in their products and business model, then the ground floor is presenting itself; founded in 2011, not profitable yet, and still very inexpensive.
As always, just my humble opinion and thanks for your reply.
MD
jugs,
I am nothing more than an amateur investor that has been at "it" for over thirty years and been mostly successful, if for no other reason than persistence.
I believe Avita Medical has a product that will be hugely beneficial to the human race. The medical implications for healing burn wounds as well as the use of this type of stem cell technology for hair growth and cosmetic solutions seems to offer huge possibilities for this company.
I have a limited knowledge of business financials and accounting practices but a fairly good feel for products that have potential for success and acceptance. However, as we all know, there is much more to a company's success than just great products or services. Skillful management, good timing, and just plain luck all play a role in a successful business.
With that disclaimer in mind, I see this company and stock gaining traction and eventually becoming wildly profitable. I won't set a specific timeline or ceiling because I know better. But I do hope it happens sooner than later, as my time on this earth is finite and I have already expended a good portion of it.
My Plan:
Let's hope for a triple from today's prices by year end and the same rate of growth for several years after that.
Thanks for asking.
Under 50k. Uncharacteristic LOW volume today. I have a 1200 share bid/order in, but it did not fill. Hopefully Monday.
Please forgive me if this has been posted already.

It did not seem to help the share price in today's action.
Well it was a pleasant overnight gain but gone now. eom
A million already ! Now we're talkin' eom
Pathetic trading today......screamed with my usual enthusiasm ! eom
Everything in my stable finished in the red except the utilities. At least Avita didn't take too bad of a beating at less than 1% loss. I can (and will) live with that.
One word for today's price action across the boards (so far) ......pathetic !
I must say "pleasantly surprised" for a change (for now) and was seriously considering bailing. But I'll hold 'em again, as usual.
the MD
Yes Eagle, I definitely second that....er...I mean third those opinions.
Good volume but share price is going in the wrong direction ( at least for longs).
To what do we owe today's drubbing?
Is it just plain old manipulation (options don't expire for several more days) or do those in the know know something that we don't?
From yesterday's and today's action, it appears that we are the ONLY ones that believe there will be ANY licensing deals.
Was the report really that bad? The company is still making money.
I agree that it is time to up the dividend.
JMHO (very humbled)
This is "winning" ?
Are there any educated guesses for the drubbing we are taking today?
Did I miss some important news or is this just the usual manipulation?
T.I.A.
Well, I guess this somewhat explains the open interest in the $70 puts, eh?
How? Gawd d*** I don't know .......anymore!
Hmmmm,
That is a ginormeous amount of open contracts. I don't which way to read that situation.
Somebody thinks that the share price is going below the $70 mark (by $5.00 +) and wants to get at least that much for their shares.
Or.
Somebody thinks it will stay above that $70 mark and they can keep the premium in their pocket.
Being so far out in time, maybe both scenarios.
Is that correct?
Thanks for posting this Jim.
I was busy sobbing and couldn't hear the webcast.
MD
Well Fish, it looks like you correctly called that movement for today.
It sure is getting old............ I am too.
And what is the reason for our "punishment" today?
...inquiring minds........
Here is a link about our possible future with IDCC technologies and others.
It all sounds promising if our company can successfully sell their patents and ideas to be involved and used in the 5G networks.
Here's hoping !
http://electronics360.globalspec.com/article/10157/everything-you-need-to-know-about-5g-the-mobile-network-of-the-future?id=-548584560&uh=01cbb7&email=doctormrd%40gmail%2Ecom&md=171102&mh=1dab72&Vol=Vol2Issue43&Pub=114&LinkId=1894822&keyword=link_1894822&et_rid=419485399&et_mid=83559036&frmtrk=newsletter&cid=nl
If "they" or "someone" can stall the release of positive news for thirteen more days, and hold the stock price below $72.50, then over 2000 call options will expire "out of the money".
Maybe that is the motivation for the clamp down on the news.
Just another guess in the secret world of IDCC.
