This was a FDA play for me when I invested awhile ago. Figure I would cash in at the pop in price from that event. NO MORE. There is too much happening here with what I see as many positives developing in Europe that will transfer over to USA sales. Thus I will NOT sell on such an event (FDA approval). I can only speculate as to how much more can be accomplished by this company if/when FDA gives OK. Much good news to follow, IMO.
Thanks Yankee, been wondering about Canada. Are they on the shelves in retail outlets or just available "on line" in Canada? Anyway, great to see that the Canadian people are able to benefit from these products. Unfortunately, Americans CANNOT. Thus is it time for this investor to "vent".
Canada, UK and the European UNION. ALL civilized countries with VERY similar social and governmental structure as our good ole USA. Yet THEY have allowed its citizens THE option of an alternative to the pain medications WITH serious side affects. They have given its citizens the a CHOICE. By allowing an alternative to these serious side affecting drugs they have silently admitted the serious problems from taking many of these "pain killers".
HOW our great country, more than any other country that stands for the many virtues of FREEDOM, will NOT allow its citizens the CHOICE of how to control their pain, is baffling. They WILL NOT ALLOW its citizens to purchase a product that might just help them? WE are NOT talking about heroin, cocaine or other illegals which deserve serious regulation, both which can be bought readily on the "streets". We are taking about a SAFE alternative to PRESCRIBED and OVER THE COUNTER pain medications. GIVE THE PEOPLE THE CHOICE. Sure PEMF will not work for some, just like certain pain pills do not help all. Leave it up to the particular individual to determine and chose what helps him. FREEDOM of CHOICE. These products are NOT killing anybody. Fine if you want to label restriction advice (as wearing the actipatch as a crown on your head) as such restrictions should be posted, but make it available!
PLEASE, the efficacy argument is old. PEMF DOES WORK, PEMF reduces the swelling, of which CAUSES PAIN. In of itself, and for JUST THAT, it should be allowed a place on EVERY shelf in EVERY pharmacy in EVERY state in this great country. AND it should be right next to those serious side affecting drugs you allow being sold on the most visible shelf in every retail store.
Sometimes a more serious offense is one where action is NOT taken!
WAKE UP FDA!
BOOTS; WALGREENS; BRAUN; AMAZON
Not bad names to be associated with when selling your product. All are respectable successful distributors/retailers with highly recognizable names. Credible companies providing credible products to consumers. This (sales) could get VERY interesting.
Talk of stock buyback? With positive happenings overseas and if the future is promising, there is nothing more positive that Whelan could do for his longtime loyal stockholders than just that. If a stock buyback is announced, this stock price would FLY. That is not an opinion, it is a fact. It would not only reinforce the belief from management of an upward financial future trend for this company but it would eliminate all fears of a reverse stock split. That in itself, due to the serious amount of outstanding shares, would catapult the price overnight. We would probably need FDA OK first before such could occur, but definitely a food for thought.
And this other new procedure which according to you is 'unknown as of now' that does NOT "stick a needle in someone's eye", will apply and get through the regulatory FDA submission process; get FDA OK to start trial with FDA required end points; get recruitment of patients; perform all phases of trials; and receive FDA "APPROVAL" before OCAT which is entering the all important PHASE II? REALLY?
>>>I would say at least 2020 or longer and their method will most likely be obsolete to something far superior . Sticking a huge needle in the eye is pretty stone aged sounding anyways<<<
Really? You know of another company that can cure a form of blindness before your projected date of 2020? Please share as i would like to invest in that company, if they are publicly traded. And as far as sticking a needle in the the eye as being "stone age", please tell all who could have a chance to see again using this stem cell treatment that they they should NEVER attempt this cell transplant because the procedure to do so of sticking a needle in the eye is old, outdated and "stone age". Really? Don't even try to get cured of your blindness because the "procedure" of injecting these cells is "old fashioned"? Really? --- Even though the procedure for transplanting new and thriving stem cell to replace old dead cells is new and possibly the future of regeneration? WOW!
>>Over the years, BIEL has announced dozens of distribution agreements with 'major' players....all of which amounted to absolutely nothing.
BIEL is famous for this. Hence the reason why the stock did not move upwards after the Braun news hit....no one believes it. <<
-----------
As a very long time shareholder in this company, I honestly cannot disagree with this. We have been beat up pretty much in the past from many of these promises of distributors in various countries, only to find for some "unexpected or unknown" reason, they have never materialized. IMO this is the MAIN reason for the pathetically low stock price. Many who have invested or researched to invest see these broken promises and failed projections from our fearless leader and management as one serious "black eye" and they will need some very promising solid news (numbers) to even consider either buying again or adding more. That is EXACTLY what happens when leadership has lost all faith from shareholders and that is exactly IMO what is occurring here, even though we see increased sales and possible positive future happenings in the UK AND Europe.
With all that said, since the stock price is where it is now due to all the mistrust, one must consider: with increased sales reported last quarter in the UK (without reported BRAUN sales), the addition of BRAUN as distributor, repeat buying from satisfied users of product, hopefully good news from USA FDA, might this not be an opportune time to take a flyer on this stock to purchase or add shares as it trades in the triple zeros. TRIPS can buy a helluva lot of shares that just MIGHT turn out to be very profitable. Future seeing shareholders are most likely doing just that.
And a good post it was. There is NO WAY, when in conjunction with another treatment you can assert that there was no positive affect from the actipatch. Very hard to determine which "benefited" the treatment or which treatment nullified the other. That can only be asserted with Actipatch used on its own. One procedure may overpower the other making that procedure (actipatch), in THAT situation, ineffective. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of "combination of drugs" knows such. MANY attempts at combining drugs (treatments) with various doses are trialed before substantial evidence can be verified. IMO a very poorly constructed trial with highly questionable validity.
I don't care who gets the products into Canada and on the shelves of retailers. Sister, brother, great grandmother, WHOEVER! Just get the darn things in the stores and to the consumers. Been hearing about entering Canada FOR YEARS. I mean YEARS as in 3 or 4. Excuses constantly regarding distributors. Maybe someone had to see the success in the UK to get off their azz and get CANADA rolling. PHEW!
>>SELLING RIGHT OFF into a micro-blip of strength- It can't hold a gain even barely above $5 bucks
This one's got some major problems here it seems.<<
Perhaps one should wait until later in the trading day to make such assumptions.
Nice finish with some decent buys at end of day and hopefully we have seen the bottom and the last of the whiplash we received from the secondary. I called 5.00 as bottom (to myself) but too stupid to act on it. Anyway, up from here I hope.
Lasers & Mushroom, I totally agree! ON TO PHASE II. That news is certainly not to be taken lightly. The offering has had a definite negative affect on our stock price as we plummeted from the 7's, but PHASE II is what this trial is all about. That is the Phase, personally, I have been waiting for, for quite some time. Critical phase to say the least. Very pertinent data collected and revealed in this phase. A phase where most JV's emerge as transparency of data emerges.
Ahhhh, be careful what you wish for. The 'ever so desired' being added to the Russel Indexes has its drawbacks. Once not being lumped in with the "masses" (other fellow stocks), OCAT did not always follow the large public market reaction to national or world wide news. Now being in the Russell, they feel the affects of the overall stock market reaction to negative news and we see this IMO following the lead of the "market" with the downside affect from The GREEK news crisis. Really don't know how long this will last but hope that OCAT also reacts positively with overall market "good news". I know in the past we have NOT benefited from such. --- WELCOME, OCAT to the MARKET!
>>A lot of people seem to be stuck in this dilution machine at .0007-.0009. Why not dump this turd...<<
Why? Because if we would have listened to the same advice given by
the likes of you and others that said the same at .0004, we would have missed out on the double we have made here. Much more room to run from here in the trips. But thanks for the advice, it confirms my contrarian strategy.
>>Agree about the trend. I expect a rougher ride (some gapping) as we close in on 'next news' we've been waiting for.<<
Super, I enjoy your posts and agree with most, but this one I must disagree with. But disagree in a positive way. As you feel we should expect a rough ride, I would say that we have had that "rough ride" and I feel that the worst is behind us. We have been down as low as .0004 and I hope that some good guys have added down there in that range because I feel that price will be forever in the rear view mirror. Soon we should be entering the double zeros and even IF we DON'T receive the FDA OK in the near future, the good news from sales abroad should sustain and lift the price. As we near BREAK EVEN, word of such will encourage buying. Break even in itself will be VERY positive. Profitability would be the game changer. Profitability occurring in a company that is still considered a "start up" that has been BEATEN UP with its stock price (triple zeros) would be a tremendous boost and will be reflected seriously and positively in the stock price when word gets out. So, Super, good luck to you and all others that have withstood the rough ride, and hopefully added and/or are adding down here. Triple zeros can buy a helluva lot of shares that just might turn out to be VERY profitable if this "trend" continues.
Getting OFF THE PINKS is a MUST!!
Have we received any numbers from Canada? All the talk has been about sales from UK. Thought we were still not on shelves in Canada since I can't recall hearing any recent news from there. If we are, very encouraged to hear next quarterly numbers.
And wait til FDA gets his head out of the sand and gives the OK!
hahaha, when all else fails we repeat the "outstanding shares" scare. I am pretty sure that ALL here are very aware of the outstanding shares. GEEEZ, its been hammered day and night continuously by the naysayers. It is what it is, but as some have pointed out, the market cap (5-8 mil.) is not out of line and IMO opinion quite low. Kick in more increased sales quarter over quarter from the UK and other countries, and we start looking pretty good as per market cap. Now throw in a future USA FDA OK, and the buying "in the trips" will look like a pretty smart and profitable decision, IMO. Breaking even and/or profitability would be the game changer.
>>I am not personally impressed with any post quoted from another forum nor anything that the post has to say which has an absurd price projection of $35 by end of second quarter(11 days from now), $70 by the end of the third quarter and $100 by the end of the year.<<
I am. I am as much impressed with this quote and projection as I am with anything said on this or any board. They are opinions and only opinions. Guaranteed that people who read these boards know that, and are looking for just that: other opinions. No different than sitting around the dinner table discussing (what ever) and giving your opinion on some common subject matter. To me that is the only way to look at these forums. It is up to the individual reader of these boards to determine which posts he feels are more valid and credible than others. Some (post) are seriously one side, constructed for personal agenda and they are obvious. But others have a certain validity about them and could have merit. Our board is NOT the "know it all board" so I will listen to any who provide a solid thoughtful opinion.
As far as price projection, I would say that 35 by the end of quarter is far fetched, but further into phase II, with the "feel", "word" of something positive to happen, I would NOT be surprised if a very substantial gain materializes. I have seen this often with other companies with product in trials as "word" leaks out from inside. We, the individual investor are always the last to know.
>>>Not sure how you would know how many eyes are on it.
If it's such a great opportunity then why aren't those Watching loading up the boat at these bargain prices instead of just watching ?<<<
Why? There are many reasons why. Some have been burned in the past but still interested in watching to see how these new developments are absorbed by investors. They are still interested in this story of pill free pain relief so they are paying attention to other negatives such as outstanding shares, ownership compensation etc etc. This is still not even close to a solid investment one bit, therefore it will only be touched by those that see a future, not a death; those willing to take a risk on what looks like positive happenings in the future; those who believe in the science of PEMF for use in pain and swelling relief; those that KNOW if this gets FDA OK, the price WILL rise and the rise will be fast and furious. I have followed this story for years, as I know of others who have done likewise. Some are IN but many are NOT. But I can assure you they are sill watching carefully and reading these boards and press releases for news that they KNOW will spike the price. Most that are "IN" know that the slightest of positive news will jump the price overnight and don't want to miss out on such an event: There are two types of investors watching: Future looking risk takers vs conservative minds. That is why you are NOT seeing people "loading" the boat. That is NOT to say that it isn't being done by some. I know from first experience that it is
>>To this date, Braun has no BIEL products in their catalog. Take a look on their website, Braun's product catalog is widely available for all to see.<<
WOW, and we are STILL substantially increasing sales quarter over quarter. The UK launch is off and running with stores selling out, Amazon sales #1 in their category with so many positive comments on their website. This all without the help of BRAUN?? WOW, can you imagine where we will be when that kicks in? POSITIVE news to say the least. Thank you askjell for the most encouraging optimistic post exemplifying the powerful potential of sales when BRAUN starts pushing Bioelectronic products!! This is NOT even mentioning the explosion that will occur when our FDA gets its head out of the sand and gives us the so much deserved OK to launch! --- and I say launch as in rocket!
Hand me one of those babies, my back is killing me!!!
Exactly. It seems to me that so many are upset probably (I really don't know) because they have a shorter timeline for investing here. If that's the case, I can understand the need for more recent reward. But the fact of the matter is that the company cannot take that approach. There are steps to take and goals to reach BEFORE final decision. Who knows, maybe there have been preliminary talks with whoever and offered a deal that would strongly favor the purchaser. The strength of negotiation, right now prior to unveiled data, is definitely NOT with OCAT. Sharks survive here. But the game changes in PHASE II. With positive data revealed, the ball shifts back to OCAT'S court and it is THE POWERBALL -- for both OCAT and its shareholders. But for this to happen we NEED to get to PHASE II! Nothing else matters at this time. PHASE II is the present and only goal. There WE will hopefully listen to offers and laugh when insulted by them. There are many bumps on many roads that cause detours, but the final destination never changes.
ALL a necessary move by the company to get to the next level. There is not enough cash to fund phase II and a JV partner is definitely NOT going to enter the picture at this juncture. This company NEEDS to get into phase II, reveal some preliminary substantial "positive" data before a JV, buyer or backer emerges. I am pretty sure that when anyone who truly understands the difficulty in raising substantial funds to continue trials that will desperately determine your future, you would have to agree that this is a "must do" for this type of company. Sure it will affect the present shareholders as dilution always does, but the REAL affect on shareholders would be a total missed opportunity to even be able to participate in a phase II. That would be devastating to the company, the shareholders, the medical arena, and patients that so desperately could benefit from this science. Therefore HOWEVER we get to phase II, so be it! Because as many here have stated: if trials successful this present affect on us shareholders from this announcement is comparable, in the big picture, to a single grain of sand on a beach. It is NOTHING! THE POWER OF A SUCCESSFUL TRIAL VERIFYING THIS SCIENCE IS MONUMENTAL!
>>Mr. market may or may not respond positively tomorrow, but the money will be there to get Ocata to the point that we make it on our science or we don't. This stock offering is NOT a terrible thing by a long shot. I hope tomorrow is not filled with whining on<<
Very true and accurate take on this and I find this announcement as positive. IMO this is an answer to the horrible toxic financing with Lincoln. Our price has been controlled by this finance company for the years they have been compensated with a substantial amount of shares in exchange for that financing. Anything is better than what we have had with Lincoln. To rid ourselves of this mess is a victory in itself. The main objective at this time is to be able to FINANCE PHASE II, and to enter that phase with the certainty of financing is one more goal accomplished. This is a small price to pay for securing THE most important PHASE --PHASE II. Hold on tight, this IS the phase we have ALL been waiting for.
Bring it on! Can buy a helluva lot of shares at .0005. Own a substantial amount in this range (.0004-.0006) and looking to add more down here and lower my average more. Can turn out to be very profitable with the slightest of news that is speculated. Not investing advice for all, but for some of us its worth the risk because the reward could be substantial. This stock has burned a lot of people. Almost all are down, including myself, but to some it might just be too good an opportunity to ignore buying in the trips. With every purchase down here you can lower your average quite substantially. "To each their own".
>>This also applies to energy medicine and PEMF therapy devices as well. If you do use a high intensity system, use it only short term and under the guidance of a trained practitioner.<<
Great find yankee. I find all the negative posts on the so called "low frequency" of the patches quite amusing. To assume that is BAD news is totally wrong IMO. On the contrary, due to the "low frequency" of our "gizmos" devices we are able to wear the patch LONGER and receive the benefits at a nice continuous rate and longer time. Higher powered PEMF "gizmo" devices should not be used for any considerable length of time. Since one of the actipatch's functions is to alleviate pain and swelling (which causes pain) this therapy, at low frequency is very beneficial at sustaining relief and discomfort for some time. So actually the LOW FREQUENCY is a positive and quite necessary for the efficacy of this device.
PHASE ONE is for traders and shorting, as there is plenty of time to play games before some pertinent statistics are revealed. No big money committed at this time. Phase 2 is where investors enter if they like what they are seeing and hearing. Phase one good time to accumulate at low prices IMO.
>>GE, an entire global mega corporation with 300 THOUSAND plus employees and plants and facilities on almost every continent and in almost every country ON THE PLANET<<
WOW, now that would be one helluva partner. GE is a powerhouse in not only the corporate and financial world but actively and aggressively involved in innovative medical science. What more innovative than "regenerative medicine". What better company to be involved with than OCAT, a small company with promising existing trials entering a critical phase II (where most partnerships/buyouts occur). All eyes on phase II where important critical data will become apparent.
That paragraph you state says it all about the power of GE!
>>8s are HEAVILY stacked, 7s get WIPED out. They lift it up to 8 and wait for you to load some 7s, then wipe them out. Soon this will start the 6sw again<<
Hahhaha, you state the same at everyday for all daily prices no mater where we are trading at: 4's and 5's; 5's and 6's; 6's and 7's; 8's and 9's, etc.
All I know is that buying ANYWHERE in the triple zeros would be very profitable if FDA comes through and/or sales increase to cash flow positive ---- and THAT is where I am buying. Worth the risk for eventual reward??
>>Get out with some of your money.<<
Thanks for the advice! I will be ADDING more. Come on .0005!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again --- A successful blood platelet program and trial by OCAT would be "HUGE" and make this presently ongoing trial, if successful, a minor accomplishment. YES that's right, I said it! Don't get me wrong, this mac degeneration trial when successful will make a ton ($$) for the company and its shareholders, BUT the potential of unlimited universal (no test & typing) blood supply in the trauma and surgical field of medicine would be a game changer!
I have been invested in this company for years and have read many of the comments from investors on these types of message boards and I must say this might be the most accurate and "right on" perception of how difficult it is for the "street" to evaluate this company and its products (RPE stem cells). Do they or can they understand this science?? Wall Street likes black and white. They do NOT like gray (uncertainty) nor something they don't totally understand. I have witnessed that throughout the years investing. It especially does not like uncertainty in a NEWLY invented product or science. It does not like to stick its neck out and proclaim any company a winner UNTIL the product sells or science IS PROVEN. Most managed funds by large conservative institutions won't touch a stock with "potential". Play it safe is their mantra. As is the same when advising clients with buy, sell or hold recommendations. These large firms do not like to "lose" as they heed their advice to some big time investors. Thus the conservative approach.
I agree with manfromjax wholeheartedly, until these conglomerates understand this new science and see firsthand from documented proof (trial results) and success, they will stay away from this "gray" field they are totally unfamiliar with. Sure you may see smaller firms put some speculative money down to "watch" a stock, but the big money with buy/sell advice will most likely occur after the picture is clearer and the science and its potential understood.
With that said, we as individual investors have no one to answer to except ourselves (well maybe our spouse) and unlike investment firms who are totally dependent on client success, we can "take a shot at it" and buy/hold at these low levels and hope and pray for a successful trial result --- because I am SURE that if such occurs a stock price trading in the range we are trading now, will be a distant memory.
Good post manfromjax!
That's what happens when, as time goes by, some lose patience. Loss of patience leads to anger, and anger leads to selling.
Investing (not trading) in this company or any other dealing with the FDA and its control over their future is not for the faint of heart. It takes a strong will to hold onto shares and ride the waves of news. We all are sitting in the background receiving that news and relying on the factual nature of such, from those behind the curtain. Past experiences with Whelan's leadership and failed promises have surely NOT enforced our respect for management in the most recent "promising" developments with FDA and its "new category". How much confidence do former and present stockholders have in this company benefiting from these "promising" developments. We have been beaten up considerably by this management and their, what might be considered by some, selfish antics. Who is to believe that this is finally the break this company and its shareholders have waited for? Will Whelan "allow" his loyal shareholders to reap future reward if all goes well with the FDA or will HIS FAMILY be the only ones to capitalize on such positive events. One can only speculate. ----- All of this can easily test ones patience.
Thank you for the advice! You have encouraged me to buy MORE!
The UK, even though not first choice by Bioelectronics (of course it was USA) was a perfect conception of marketing and informative research for the the impending launch of products in USA. A country with very similar social and economic structure, no language barrier and similar lifestyle. This may all work out for the best and be the most positive of sequences as lessons were hopefully learned through this marketing experience in the UK and instituted in USA launch. It WILL happen. If not our FDA is a JOKE! That is MY opinion but not exclusively!
Thanks yankee. "Powerhouse" just might be the appropriate adjective to describe this association/merger between Boots and Walgreens. Two of the biggest and most successful in their field joining forces! To be accepted by such a conglomerate and on the shelves of such retail outlets would be the catalyst that long time shareholders have been so desperately waiting for. Since we have been already been accepted by BOOTS, a smooth marketing transition into Walgreens will most certainly occur. Then FINALLY some of us will have pain relief for our physical aches and (this)investment aches.
>>Soon 8's wont hold and we all know they will dilute down to trip .05's.<<
We all know?? Excuse me, I don't think that "we all know" this is going to happen. Personally I DON'T know this. But you DO? You have, for us, some inside information? But please, don't get me wrong, I would love to see shaky hands bring this price down to .0005 once again, so I can add a substantial amount of shares to what I already have. Trips is where I have bought a considerable amount of shares and trips is where I would definitely add again if it occurs with no bad news. Stockholders with NO patience are an investors asset.
I CAN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE! Market cap tells us (the masses) what the company is worth. It is what the financial sector valuates all publicly traded companies at that specific time. To me and many others, it is the main barometer that determines if one believes a company is overvalued or undervalued. It is the final valuation of a company after digesting of income and balance statements.
Our commerce industry and economic systems evaluates "worth" with the most basic principle of "supply and demand". Evaluating a company by its share price is no different --- and market cap illustrates just that by incorporating a stock price (view of company) to determine its value. It is hard to use such when evaluating start up companies because one must "predict" future progress, but I must admit that in this situation with such promising potential and story, but STILL is so dependent on US FDA approval that a market cap of 8 million is very low. If one believes that if all goes well and critical future events are positive, this is IMO one helluva price to buy.
Thanks Lasers for keeping us informed on the present and future possible treatments for these and other stem cells. Parkinson's would be a major news story, and it would be "just" the next in the line of cures to follow for this "new science". "POWERFUL" is an understatement when trying to describe the potential and affect of curing with stem cells what was previously incurable.
I agree SR, much more good days ahead as more news will flood the airwaves after FDA OK. Watch close today, IMO very important to hold.
I will get excited and believe this is a real positive uptick if we level off (about what's happening now) and see another rise to end of day and closing with a serious gain, That is how legitimate "behind the scene" positive imminent news affects a stock price and is NOT an orchestrated PUMP and DUMP, of which we have witnessed previously.
