Don't sell yourself short, SEVEN. Any and all who understand this dramatic injustice we are witnessing in this day and age, with the powerful Pharmaceutical companies and their SELF SERVING FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES with their "pushing" of these addictive drugs, is voicing their opinion with "just" our investment in this small company with an alternative to DRUG ADDICTION. I have voiced this in the past and I will continue to voice the INJUSTICE of the powers of these BIG CONGLOMERATE FINANCIAL pharmaceutical companies and what appears to be their substantial POLITICAL POWER and infiltration in CONGRESS. Unfortunately in a capitalistic business visionary country like ours, $$$$$$$$ speaks very loudly --- EVEN at the expense of the very people they (politicians) are PAID to protect and SERVE. In our beloved country, THE PEOPLE are "supposed to be the POWER. It is about time that we are heard LOUDLY regarding this matter. It is no longer "hidden" as to the devastating side affects that these over the counter pain pills can and will occur over a period of time with continuous use, yet they (politicians) sit on their hands and let "warning" labels suffice. That is NOT enough, the people need an alternative and choice. IMO it is just disgusting and intolerable that this (BIEL) HAS been declined, and again taking so long to be approved with a second chance. I love this country, but for the ideals and purpose it was formed: "FOR THE PEOPLE". It is about time that this IMPORTANT subject and topic when reviewed are considered for the benefit of our "citizens" as opposed to our self serving money making conglomerate enterprises. It is absolutely SHAMEFUL that this form of pain relief has been accepted in many other countries but NOT ours. Let us HOPE and PRAY that with this second chance OUR GOVERNMENT "FOR THE PEOPLE" get it RIGHT this time.
I know quite well of the manipulation by the powers to be regarding a stock price. I have been in this stock since 2010 knowing that any and all companies listed on the OTCs can be easily price controlled by the MMs. This stock is NO different and even more so because of its powerful story and severe risk of failure if trials unsuccessful. Any type of investment waiting on FDA decision that will affect the entirety of the company (FDA rejection means NO more company) can be easily price controlled due to weak investors reacting to any and all news. This risk comes with the territory when investing with these OTC stocks. "BUT" the powerful story and upside explosion if/when trial successful is too intriguing to me to be on the sidelines if such occurs. Some may say, why not wait til news is announced? For one, the pop in price will be so dramatic if FDA approved that you would miss out on a big chunk of change and chasing a fast rising price -- AND it is NOT impossible that if trials are seen as dramatically successful by the DSMB and FDA, that it could be shortened and granted approval earlier than projected. In such a case there would most likely be a halting of the trading of shares due to such news and a reopen of trading at a much higher level which would be missed by any and all on the sidelines waiting for official approval. With a truly explosive news story such as this stock and its trials, it would not be far fetched for such to occur. A very good chance that this will NOT happen as I believe that FDA will want the trial to finish for the most data possible to be reviewed, but a possibility it is. Just holding and adding along the way til any or all occur.
If nervous with the drop at end of day after a nice run up in price, just understand that this stock price has increased some 60 percent since the price of .05 as of 6/13/14/. That has been a very nice gain in a short period of time and was probably inevitable to retreat a bit. I won't complain because I added at the .05 price range and will continue to add as this story unfolds.
Interesting and encouraging follow through of end of last weeks price rise. Upward movement and level off at this time. Hopefully just resting and if another rise by end of day, that would be bullish IMO. Getting the feeling that any more "good" news will ignite a serious increase in buying AND price.
Doesn't get more interesting than that!! I also recall the possible link to the cell manufacturing lines in Europe with Pfizer and have also hoped that there may be some possible future co-venture. Any announcement of ANY such relationship with the likes of a powerful pharma as Pfizer will put this little company ACTC on the radar of all big $$$ on Wall Street. I have, in the past, owned shares of PFIZER and followed it for years. They along with Merck will open many eyes as to what NEW products they are trying to bring to the market. IMO they will not even venture into "new" products without the faith of success and FDA acceptance. I have always felt that they are watching closely the progress of our cells and their trials and when conservatively assured of its success, they will enter into this "new" science very aggressively. There are not too many companies more powerful in medicine or the financial markets than those two companies (Pfizer and Merck).
With that kind of continual rise in price our resident basher will most certainly be fired for lack of production.
>>Pursuant to the Purchase Agreement, the purchase price of such Common Stock will be based on the prevailing market price of the Company’s Common Stock immediately preceding the time of sales,<<
At least we didn't issue these shares at a discount to Lincoln, and that is good news as I have seen companies issue stock to financiers at a lower price than the stock was trading at that time and obviously destroyed the price and the shareholders. Kudos to another positive from our new CEO. The more we see of his accomplishments will further enhance the obvious 'snow job' our former CEO performed in his tenure. IMO he should still be held accountable for the self serving ways he treated his shareholders.
Show me where I ever stated that the stock would reach $35. You must be confusing me with someone else. I am not saying it could never happen but that was NOT my prediction. I never make predictions on where a price is going or could go, I will leave that up to others. I only state what I feel will happen with the euphoria from good news if received. Wall Street is and always will be "forward looking" and reacts very quickly and sometimes irrationally to "good news". Positive NEWS from these trials will undoubtedly create such. Justifiable? Maybe not, but numerous situations like this have occurred in the past. TIME FRAMES I will also NOT predict only to say that if successful the future price WILL NOT be in the range we are at now. This is not a stock to buy and watch emotionally daily IMO. It is one, if you believe in the science, to buy, hold and add as time goes on. I know that this strategy is not for certain investors or impatient traders, nor do I say either is right or wrong , but for the individual to decide.
This is huge! The past news of a tie-in with BOOTS and WALGREENS is one of the reasons I have added more shares and am more optimistic about success with this investment. Therein lies the link to our products and exposure in the USA. Marketing to the consumer is always the most important strategy for retail success and since the patches are already accepted in retail outlets and on line at BOOTS in the UK, that will serve as an easy marketing transition to affiliate Walgreen's stores in the good ole USA. Walgreen's stores have recently, in the Midwest area, gone through a strong and rapid expansion with new stores strategically and frequently placed in high traffic visible locations. I recall their (Walgreen) announcement to their aggressive expansion as their objective to make their stores more accessible to the neighborhoods - and they ARE accomplishing that, as I can walk to one near me and another is 5 minute driving distance. Can't wait til I walk there and am able pick up the Actipatch for my back.
Exactly! This trial for mac degeneration is big in itself and a green light from the FDA will acknowledge there IS a "cure" for this debilitating disease BUT more importantly it VALIDATES the "new SCIENCE" of embryonic stem cells and its potential for possibly curing other non curable afflictions. If further proven to aid in the fight against MS, this will be HUGE! Investors will not have to wait for earnings to see their portfolios grow, as the news wires will grab onto these stories and run with it for quite some time.
>>just like the information someone got about the proposed new category earlier in the year enabled us to get in at 0.0004 (should have bought much more of course)<<
I am with you on this one, UK.. After reading that info provided to us on IHUB (forgot who it was but to that person a big thank you!) I jumped in immediately and bought more shares at .0004 with my cash balance in my brokerage account and proceeded to transfer more funds to the account to buy more, only to see the price leave the triple zeros. But that's OK, I am still buying and adding at these levels. Are you kidding me?? We're talking .002/share! At 5 billion shares we're talking 10 million dollar market cap. That is nothing if this gets the FDA OK. --- AND that is with One to One P/E ratio. Most companies trade at a much higher ratio.
Thanks for the revolutionary news. Keep up the good work, I am continually adding more to my holdings at these low prices before FDA officially announces 'new category'.
>>You will see the trips to minimum, very, very soon.<<
Bring it on. I profited very well last time we visited the triple zeros at .0004 while some posters (hmmm, forgot who) were boastfully calling for total demise. Waiting again and enjoying the talk of all the doom and gloom constantly posted over and over again on this message board in an attempt to lower the price, so that I can take advantage of such. Getting very close to that now at these levels as my finger is nearing the "buy" key. Once FDA official reporting of new category, the news will trigger, what I believe will be a chain of positive events.
As far as management, I couldn't agree more on the questionable ethics and motives of our family in charge. But I am not here to marry anyone or even respect them. I am here to make a buck like THEY are. I do not know what their next step would be if successful due to this new category, or how shareholder friendly they would be, because I do believe they could cares less about the stockholders. But I do KNOW that if we get this new category and submit again, that this price we are at now will be long gone and every follow up of "good news" regarding class II will spike the price further ---- and THAT is what I am betting on.
At this point in time the past rejection letters are irrelevant in any new decision to be made by FDA. With the new category being created, a new 510k will have to be submitted and the education learned from these rejections hopefully will be used to conform to the FDA way of thinking. Many initial rejections from various companies submitting to the FDA have been used as a framework for what is to be needed for acceptance. ITS context, hopefully learned and adjusted from previous filing, will be the deciding factor and NEW basis for FDA acceptance or rejection. I am pretty sure we can all agree that this decision of "new category" gives Bioelectronics and all other companies in this field a second chance to prove its worth. Hopefully they have all learned from their previous attempts.
>>None of those existing studies are properly designed except possibly the plantar fascia study.<<
And IMO that is a BIG seller when given the green light. So many people who are on their feet all day suffer from this. Just take a look at Dr. Schols (spelling?) and the success they have had with their smart insoles. Very profitable field. I foresee Biel taking a big bite out of the market for this use and would not be surprised if there was discussion between the two companies after approval. Actipatch also will most certainly be a success, but the fact that this can be worn comfortably unseen in the shoe all day will be an attractive to those who want total pain relief as opposed to more comfort the other inserts provide.
That is why they are the conglomerates that they are. Pharmaceuticals are GIANTS in their field (medical) along with the FINANCIAL world. They will NOT sit back and watch this "new" science evolve, succeed and conquer without either a fight or acceptance and adapting. And by adapting I mean that they will have to incorporate this science into their research and development or simply BUY the science already tested and proven. With the disgustingly amount of financial power, the purchase of this science from a small upstart company like ACTC would be nothing to them financially but everything to them and their successful continuance of medical dominance and financial future. Now this is where an astute CEO comes into play as negotiations with these powerhouses on acquisition or partnering with such powers is CRUCIAL for all the stockholders and their return on investments. Let us hope our new CEO is qualified and ready for this and/or other future challenges.
>>Dr. Wotton has also served in senior-level positions at Eurand International BV, Abbott Laboratories and Merck, Sharp and Dohme. <<
Abbott Labs and Merck - hmmmm can't get much more powerful than that. Wondering if those companies are looking into any new frontiers of modern medicine that just may take a large bite out of their monopoly in drug therapy.
One more checked off the "TO DO LIST":

GETTING OUR DUCKS IN ORDER
Probably his first order of business.
He will still be working the BIEL board, so don't fret, he still has a job.
This is one I would not sell on the news and initial spike from FDA approval. That IMO would be just the start of continuous good news going forward. This price has been beaten down so badly over the years for so MANY reasons, least of which was horrendous and selfish leadership, that the news will come as a shock for all those that have followed this company but discarded any possible positive events for this company in the near or far to distant future. The panic of being left out of what they once thought WAS going to be a big return upon FDA acceptance will have them scurrying to get back "in". This story has been going on for some years and has attracted a substantial number of followers who will be very attentive to this news. Distributor and retail contracts will follow as news hits the masses to stimulate interest in an alternative pain relief to stomach and liver damaging pain medications. News articles and health programs will aid in the awareness of a "new way" to treat pain. This is one I will hold for quite a bit longer after approval as the public gets educated.
That one (Regeneron) is on my watch list.
And the story of future earth shattering news for potential uses and cures to incurable diseases by these cells continues. I have said it before and I'll say it again - I invested in this company not "just" for the AMD & SMD trials, but for the VALIDATION of the new and powerful science that this trial will substantiate after approval. This is one investment that should be held even after the success of this trial is shown. That is when the real fun starts as projections for other cures to other debilitating diseases will be pondered and foreseen. The end to this potentially powerful story is nowhere in sight. Remember that Wall Street was, is and always will be "forward looking" as to investments and it will recognize future potential when pricing this stock.
You are WRONG about this investor and the reason for taking a position in this company and holding throughout the years despite all the questionable bad management. My goal when I first invested in BIEL was the acceptance of the FDA for these products. That was 5 years ago and still is my main objective. That along with the NEED for an alternative pain treatment. I do not know if the price will skyrocket if such is accomplished, but I am certain it will NOT be in the trading range it is now. For the life of me I couldn't see why, when other countries were approving this, that the good ole USA was not. I have always felt that someday the FDA would come around to this technology, since treatments of this type (PEMF) are being administered and quite common. The lengthy acceptance process has been dragged along for years mostly due to lack of FDA history (no track record on file) and knowledge of PEMF and inadequacies from our management's presentation for FDA acceptance. I really feel that throughout this LONG ordeal, the FDA has "educated" itself enough to now understand the dynamics and physiological benefits from this science and hopefully the FDA has, in so many words, shown our company what is needed now for acceptance, with the creation of a new category. This all makes too much sense of why it should be given the green light, but anytime you are dealing with governmental agencies expect the unexpected. That along with the powerful pharmaceutical influence in politics and fear of this technology taking a bite out of their profits is and always was a concern of mine.
EXACTLY!!!
The FDA is made up of a panel of "so called" experts who take in information from studies and tests, discuss among themselves, their thoughts and OPINIONS and come to a final conclusion to accept or reject the proposal in question. Their final decision is that of the majority OPINION of the PANEL! But OPINIONS change, therefore the need for an opportunity to "change opinion". Has anyone ever heard of an APPEAL. This is no different than our "perfect" court system where one's future is determined by the OPINION of a JUDGE or JURY. In our case let's hope that this potential new category is a result of "change of opinion".
Phase II "CRITICAL" stage for this and/or any biotech seeking product/drug approval. History shows partnering/finance mostly occurs during this stage as more substantial predictable outcomes can be foreseen by such interested and involving parties. For any looking to join forces in what they can perceive as a "certain" successful treatment, they must decide to "deal" now or lose the opportunity to competition. THIS is where the CEO and board members of the giant pharmaceuticals "earn" their huge salaries and compensation packages. These conglomerates MUST always progress and avoid falling behind competition. -- and that is with either discovering, in their labs, NEW treatments or ACQUIRING them. Lets all hope hope that we are the radar of a few of them.
Getting close to the time for accumulating more shares for the price rise when such (selling of settlement shares) is done.
>>It wasn't until the annual report was filed for 2009 that investors truly became aware of how horribly they'd been screwed over by the IBEX debt conversions (pg 44).<<
And therein lies the problem with this company and its stock price. I really don't feel the product is the problem. When you can't trust the CEO of the company and because of his selfishness he is unconcerned about shareholder value, the price suffers. This company will always be viewed as a front for his "loaning company" (IBEX) by those that know. Is there a possibility this company could succeed? YES, and if it does we may not see a major jump in price, but at a low of where we are trading now, there could be a substantial amount of money to be made. That is what I am betting on. Betting as in "gambling" because that is what I believe this stock is along with many more. Who knows maybe one day our fearless leader will wake up and actually be thankful to those that have invested and help finance "his" company and allow us all to profit!
This is another example of why I invested in this company. The ongoing trials for Macular Degeneration and outcome of success is a gold mine in itself, BUT the future possibilities of other various debilitating diseases that might very well be cured with the use of these cells is mind boggling. The potential for this company and its cells will be reflected in the price of this stock one day if persistent good news continues. This trial hopefully WILL validate the success and potential of HESC. ACTC may no longer be a stand alone company at that time as success will most likely bring along a partnership or lucrative buyout, but the story of this "new" science will continue on.
So we have til June 11 (5 business days from June 4) before all shares must be paid. As much as we would like to think that some will hold shares as an investment for a longer period of time, I think it is a no brainer that sells will dominate til the 11th and for a period afterwards, of I would say, a month or two. That is probably when I will be buying more to add. If you believe in the science and believe that this was a major weight on the share price, then that just might be a good time to buy. I will watch closely in the next week and see how the price reacts determining whether to buy in increments during the 5 days and after or wait longer. This just might be the best opportunity to pick up some cheap shares for awhile. ----- When all run for the exits it is time to enter and pick up what was left behind.
Got a full ride to play at U of I (University of Illinois) Not a very good team in the early 70s. Had to quit, do to back injury suffered in practice as result of being speared in the lower back when leaping for high pass (spearing was NOT a penalty back then and go figure, my own teammate causing injury). As I lay on the ground my legs went numb and couldn't move them momentarily. All this time my coach yelling for me to get up. Scared the living hell out of me as I thought I was paralyzed for that split moment. Got the feeling back after a few seconds (seemed like forever), rehabbed and finished the year, but said screw this and got out of football feeling I was lucky and before any worse could happen. I am all for the former NFL players in their lawsuits against the NFL. Seeing first hand the self serving lack of compassion for injuries in this sport by the wealthy powers to be is sickening and should be addressed. College is NO different, revenue generated (70,000 to 100,00 fans in the stands) from their major sports and "unpaid" athletes, is significant enough for the school administration to cover up and brush these incidents and injuries under the table.
Anyway after numerous tests I was told, in my twenties, after having chest pains that it was caused from this injury and would most likely lead to lower back arthritis in my later years. Well fast forward to now and that is where I am at. HATE and REFUSE to take pills! Rather have the pain ---- but would not mind and would welcome using the Actipatch. Unfortunately OUR FDA says NO!-- What really concerns me is the amount of $$$ the pharmaceutical conglomerates make off OUR pain and with their political infiltration of lobbyists, will they 'allow' BIEL to succeed. So you see, I am hoping that this is approved for my personal problem AND investment.
Can't wait for the day that I can "walk" down the street to my local Walgreen store and buy a few of these. As one from the "baby boomers" era, I know there is a very substantial amount of potential buyers of these products as our age increases. Heck at this time, after years of contact sports (mostly football) I could probably use one Actipatch on every joint in my body. I am one that would rather have the nagging pain than throw down pills into my body. But that would no longer be a concern with the Actipatch. I a NOT alone, I can handle the pills, but I prefer NOT to take them for pain. BUT there are MANY others who have a hard time taking pills because of their digestive system. It is about time the FDA put this option out there for us. Give the people a choice! There will be many who will still want pills and so be it. On the other hand, there ARE many who would desire the alternative. WAKE UP FDA!! IT IS SAFE! You allow people to smoke cigars and cigarettes that are KNOWN to harm your health -- but not this??
If there was, our friend would own it. There is the exact same pattern of repetitive negative rhetoric used on both stock message boards all day, everyday. Motive is very transparent and all who read his/her posts on this board should be aware of such.
I don't see anyway to actually know when and who are selling that received these shares. By what I have experienced before from a similar situation, we will be stuck in this range for quite sometime (months) of which you will see many more large blocks for sale than previously (with above average volume) and the telltale sign of the end is near is when stock price is moving up (less sells)on more consistent volume. For now there is nothing we could do but let the scenario play out. Of course if good news is reported scratch the aforementioned prediction. That is what I am betting on so I will not take the chance of sitting on the sidelines. I am hoping that they (management) will wisely coincide the pain of the reverse split with the revealing of pertinent positive news.
>>>dealing with previous bondholders who received stock, who now decided to sell rather than continue to hold.<<
Therein lies the weight that will sit on the share price of this stock for sometime until all who received shares in settlements that have no desire to 'hold' are done "cashing in" by selling their shares. History shows that until all "gifted" shares are sold into the float that the price will suffer from that selling pressure. Only after such occurs will the price of the shares be released from this pressure. Have seen this quite often as shares are rewarded as settlement in lawsuits. That, along with the unfavorable perception of the increase in outstanding shares due to the settlement stifles the price for some period of time. Not a bad time to personally add to holdings if you still believe in the science
You mean to me, people (shareholders) are surprised of hearing about a reverse split? When all of you invested in a company with billions of shares outstanding and no revenue, what did you think was going to happen? This was inevitable unless $$$ came pouring into this company from sales to justify the outstanding shares. This is a company with a horrible past management that made horrible decisions about financing and is paying for it now with the ridiculous share count. The last two CEO's credibility has been rightfully shattered by stupid financing and self serving financial decisions. If all who are now invested did not know the past history of this company and its dire financial condition and are now upset about the reverse split, then that is your own fault and should have expected the likes of such when you put your first dollar into this. The jury is still out on the future and credibility of this company and the reverse split WILL hurt long term shareholders like myself, but in the back of my/our mind(s) I am pretty sure that we all knew this was going to occur. Again, this was, is and will be a risky investment and there is no guarantee of a successful business going forward OR a successful trial. I am sure that all/most have thrown money into this investment as to reap the rewards of a SUCCESSFUL TRIAL. So ask yourself how, as to what you have heard on this CC, has your feelings and outlook changed. If you were betting on a successful trial before and believed that the price of the stock will appreciate considerably from such, that should still be your focus for a successful investment. The TRIAL is the news and the FUTURE. What we just heard was/is the result and correction of the PAST. As crappy as it was, it is still the result of the "past".
After this and many stories are written about the advancement and accomplishments from stem cell therapies I cannot help but feel we are lucky enough to be witnessing, here on the ground floor, an amazing "mind" that will go down in the history books along side the world "game changers", ie. Edison, Einstein, Pasteur, etc. This may truly be one of the (if not THE) greatest historic accomplishments of our lifetime. In a world where violence and destruction capture ALL headlines, there is a place and need for this unprecedented GOOD NEWS story. Anyone who publicly and sarcastically defames such, should take a long hard look in the mirror.
C'mon FDA, this perrson (Lanza) is one of OUR own. Put him in the same chronicles of all great minds before him. Do it for him , but MORE for ALL that are in need of these cures -- and for the memory of those that did not have the opportunity of using these treatments.
>>Don't you think they should finish one before starting another?<<
Now that's funny. I enjoy the humor. Let's stop all future in house testing for our various cells and totally concentrate on this and only this trial. Let's put everything in the foreseeable future on hold and wait for the end of our current trial! So what if we will DELAY any future cures. No big deal. Even though there is nothing more we can do in our lab for these macular degeneration trials we should NOT even venture into the possibilities of more cures of more diseases from our cells. This is MORE than enough for our company to accomplish. Why keep our employees working? Why hurry on to the next revelation and historic cure for our cells? Let the competition get there first. Now THAT"s the way to go!!
Thank goodness that APPLE did not feel that way.
I agree! I had this marked on my calender for sometime in JUNE to occur, but I did not expect it to be this early in June. Great news and one more step in the right direction. My hope is that DR. Lanza is taking a more active informative role in company decisions since the "exiting" of RABIN. In fact I would hope that he (Lanza) was the main influence in achieving that accomplishment. To watch a former selfish hedgefund manager single handily almost destroy all that you have worked for must have been frightening and painful.
Stopped getting excited about those awhile ago but who knows maybe someday soon some pertinent news may come from one of these and surprise me -- not too earth shattering though, as I am still accumulating shares at these low levels.
