After Tequila, Belt Buckles And Flamethrowers, Could This Be The Next Great Tesla Novelty Item?
1:29 pm ET April 7, 2022 (Benzinga) Print
Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) has a huge fan base that has helped the company succeed and grow its sales and market share over the years.
This fan base, which some consider to be a sort of religion, has led to the huge demand for novelty items from the company. Here is a new item that could soon be offered by Tesla.
What Happened: Shortly after Tesla CEO Elon Musk was done accumulating shares of Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR), a trademark was filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
A filing for Tesla to trademark its signature “T logo” was shared by trademark attorney Josh Gerben of Gerben Law on Twitter Thursday.
“Elon Musk has some great ideas. And some odd ones. The filing indicates that the company plans to sell ‘branding irons’ using the logo.”
The filing for the branding iron was submitted by Tesla with the USPTO on April 2, 2022.
Tesla has not shared any news on the potential new item for sale, but given the massive demand for previous products, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this becomes a best seller.

Why It’s Important: Tesla sold out a belt buckle featuring the words “Don’t Mess With Tesla” in December. The belt buckle, which featured a tribute to the Texas state slogan “Don’t Mess With Texas,” was sold for $150.
Tesla’s online store features items divided into categories of charging, vehicle accessories, apparel and lifestyle.
Among the lifestyle items have been Tesla tequila bottles, a cyberwhistle and cyberquad for kids.
Musk also made headlines for selling an item labeled “not a flamethrower” from The Boring Company, a company founded by the Tesla CEO.
With a huge fan base and demand from consumers around the world, Tesla-branded products sell out and also help spread brand awareness by its own fan base.
While there are no details on a potential release date of the branding iron, fans could get a jump on a potential launch by purchasing Tesla store gift cards, which are offered in various denominations, including the ever-popular $69 and $420 amounts.
Tesla previously accepted Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) as a form of payment in its online store.
TSLA Price Action: Tesla shares are down 0.50% to $1,040.79 on Thursday at publication.

nteresting ideas. Nikola Tesla wanted to transmit energy
My thoughts would be to use the INTERSTATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM with say every 50 or 100 miles a energy transmitter in the center strip. So as the EVs drove by they would automatically be charged. This would be especially beneficial for semi-trucks These transmitters could be solar powered with a back-up battery system. These stations could also sense the vehicles driving by and automatically charge a modest fee for each vehicle. Thereby covering the lost revenue due to no gas taxes.

After going thru my own pros & cons, along with much thought. research and prayer. I am now convinced that TSLA is the real thing. I increased my holdings this morning. Looking forward to the upcoming split.

I agree with Your post
1. We have actual products in the EV space.
2. The established players (like TSLA) are making profits.
3. Even though PE ratios in the EV space are astronomical, they appear to be supported by high growth rates.
Here's my problems,
1. How many people can afford to buy a TESLA at current prices.
2. TESLA has hugh plants that require hugh sales to support them.
3. I do not believe that the sales will continue after the initial rush.
On the plus side
1. TESLA is in more areas than just EVs ( grid updates etc)
2.Elon is not a quitter,
3.Could there be a low cost affordable EV on the horizon
4. The truck market could conceiveby support the auto market
For the pluses out weigh the minuses.
Tread lightly my friends, this EV rage reminds me of the DOT.COM BUBBLE of the late 1990s to 2000. A lot of puff and not much stuff.

Check it out.
Our government has a way of screwing up a good thing.
Don't you think that maybe they may put taxes on charging stations?
Maybe put a premium on plates every year?
I have a simple question.
As the EV sales go up. and gas sales go down. how will the states and fed make up for lost income from gas taxes? Maybe they will monitor the miles driven.
Looking at LAZR, NKLA and GOEV beating TSLA percentage wise
Anyone can fly a kite in a high wind, it takes skill to fly a kite in a mild breeze.
Gut feeling!
Looking to buy the dip tomorrow $950
IMO government over spending +an overactive Fed= DEPRESSION
How do you address those naysayers who claim that the shortage of critical items such as chips, lithium. and other minerals that are in short supply, will impede the lofty goals of TSLA?
Impressive video and production figures.

THX for the kudos!
Please explain how Musk is trying to overthrow our country.
I agree on who the bad guy is. and it is NOT MUSK!
Three important dates IMO
1. 1903 the Wright Bros flew their plane
2. 1908 Henry Ford brought out the Model T
3. 2008 Elon Musk produced his first EV The Roadster
I wasn't around to take advantage of these other life changing things, however I and many of you out there, have a golden opportunity.
I agree patience and time will win the prize. IMO we will see $2000, not overnight but over time.
New to board, all in!
Why are $F shares down
Ford Stock Is Down For a Very Odd Reason. No, Production Guidance Wasn't Cut. -- Barrons.com

Automotive News incorrectly reported over the weekend that Ford Motor expected a 12% drop in U.S. sales as supply chain woes, and the global semiconductor shortage, persist for longer than expected.
The report was corrected, but Ford (ticker: F) shares are still down Monday. The reaction shows that auto investor nerves are frayed as they deal with everything from Russia, to inflation, to the persistent chip shortage.
Ford stock is down about 2% in midday, trading at $15.71 a share. The S&P 500 is down 0.6% and Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 0.2%.
Ford explained to Barron's the reported 12% sales drop was essentially comparing apples and oranges, looking at retail sales without considering all sales channels such as fleet sales.
The weekend report was potentially jarring because Ford, along with Wall Street and investors, expect a lot of improvement in 2022.
Ford still expects production to be up 10% to 15% globally for the full year 2022. The company expects to generate about $12 billion in operating profit in 2022, up from $10 billion in adjusted operating profit reported in 2021. Ford reiterated that profit guidance as recently as March 2.
Wall Street is projecting improvement as well. Analysts project sales will hit about $146 billion in 2022, up from $136 billion reported in 2021. What's more, analysts estimate Ford will deliver about 4.4 million vehicles globally in 2022, up from about 3.9 million delivered in 2021. And in the U.S., analysts project almost 2.4 million deliveries, up from about 2 million deliveries in 2021.
At least the shares aren't reacting as if U.S. production was cut by 12%, or by about 600,000 units compared with prior guidance. But shares are still down, indicating that investors are wary of supply chain news.
Supply chain problems aren't new though, and are well known to just about everyone in a host of industries, including the car business. For cars, a lack of semiconductors has constrained global car production for more than a year. No chips shaved about 8 million units off of planned global production in 2021.
Light vehicle production was roughly 18 million units in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to auto suppler TE Connectivity (TEL). That rate was due to improve over the course of 2022, eventually hitting 20 to 21 million units per quarter.
Production might not be improving as fast as people expect. This past week, Benchmark analyst Mike Ward cut his 2022 earnings estimates for General Motors (GM) stock citing chip problems and inflation. "Higher commodity prices will result in a headwind of about $500 per unit based on current prices compared with year-earlier levels," wrote the analyst.
His new 2022 EPS estimate for GM is $7 a share, down from $7.60, but he still rates the shares a Buy and has a $75 price target. Ward likes Ford stock, too, rating shares Buy. His Ford stock price target is $29 a share.
There are a lot of cross-currents for auto investors to deal with these days. At least, some bad news is already reflected in both shares of GM and Ford. GM stock is down about 29% year to date. Ford stock is off about 24%. Now auto investors have to decide whether recent prices are attractive enough to risk supply chain problems actually interfering with company guidance for the coming year.

IMO $F is setting up for the long term. This looks like a set it and forget it.
Rechecked my chart, bought in at $16.00
Looking to get in at $15.75.
I stand corrected on mute and moot.
I did load up on one day Because I believed that $F was going to make a move. I dumped the next day to cut my losses. I still believe that $F will prove to be a winner. I am keeping it on my watch list and when I believe the time is right I will jump back in.
that may be, however it will be a mute point if they can't build, due to material shortages IE lithium and others.
I also dumped $F. IMO all the hoopla about EVs, sustainable energy and climate are political.
New to board. IMO now is the tine to load up on $F
Anybody out there?
Sitting on the sidelines until a the codswalloping is done.
