Obviously I have no idea but, one has to wonder.
KBIO would still be marked at the closing price of the day before it was halted. So, it is probably the entire account or, close to it.
What would be very interesting is if he took out some money in the form of a margin loan before his arrest. Perhaps the $2 mil to fund the Wu Tang album purchase?
There is nothing exciting about EPAZ. Shaun is a serial diluting rs artist that spews out press releases stuffed with meaningless percentage numbers. That is quite literally, all that he does.
Do you have a lifetime contract to bring "awareness" to EPAZ?
The same posts have been occurring for years now.
How long until the next RS?
We all know that Shaun only knows how to do two things. Put big meaningless percentage numbers in PRs, and, sell shares to any gullible investor that he can sucker in.
The entire Effingham County IDA board should be replaced though. What they have enabled is beyond shameful.
T trades are often block transaction cross trades for shares sold during the day. Essentially, the market maker selling the block for the selling party during the day buys the shares from said party eod for a price under the VWAP. Doing so covers the commission and other fees for selling the block.
Domestic sellers or offshore sellers, it doesn't matter. The shares almost always originate with a toxic lender though.
When will IDA officials admit that they too share the blame?
I'm still not sure why they have been so blind and, so disconnected from reality for so long.
How many reverse splits have you pumped EPAZ through now? 3? 4?
C'mon man.
Oh yeah, I had Oakland this week. Missed the game Thursday night so, I forgot about it. I probably would go with Denver next week anyway.
DEN please, thank you.
I've known the ticker for a long time.
Why anyone is excited about is beyond me. Just another perpetual no bid disaster.
Perhaps it will get interest someday though. Another worthless no bid disaster is currently on the move.
The small difference with FONU is that Jake has to screw shareholders constantly via toxic borrowing to maintain the facade of success. His paycheck depends on it. His entire career is built on "creating shareholder value".
OAK please, thanks.
MIN please, thank you.
Why should we feel any sympathy?
The Retrophin litigation has been widely known for many months.
I'm perfectly fine with those investors losing everything. They knew about the drama machine they were getting from Shkreli and, planned to profit from it.
Criminal prosecution was both foreseeable and unforeseeable. Many figured that he would be nabbed for something at some point.
He effectively dared the Feds with his actions to try and make him a poster boy for all that is wrong with the finance and pharmaceutical industries. Not only that, he relished the role. They obliged.
I couldn't care less about the fate of those investing in a KBIO private placement.
Do you think he has a chance in front of a jury if he transforms into a very humble person over the coming months?
I wonder if he is even capable of being humble though. Judging by his statement tonight, his provocations continue.

They turned out much better because not only did they get their initial capital returned, they also received the fictitious profits.
You weren't a student with an internship procured by the school district though.
Not that there is anything wrong with starting like that. I was just saying that it isn't like he worked for Jim. I'm impressed with Martin's abilities. He essentially pulled it off in rather impressive fashion.
Matt Levine said it well.
Still, I can't shake my sense of amazement that Shkreli seems to have gambled on redemption and won. If you believe the allegations in today's indictment, he lost (or stole) all of his investors' money, then lied to them to string them along, Ponzied it up by raising new money to keep them happy, and then finally found an investment that allowed him to pay off his earlier investors, with profits all around. He wasn't caught because his scheme, like most such schemes, eventually crashed under its own weight. His scheme worked! He was caught, as far as I can tell, for being so abrasive about everything. How could shareholders not complain; how could prosecutors not go after him? Still, it is quite an accomplishment. If he is a securities fraudster, he should be an inspiration to securities fraudsters everywhere.
He was an intern only out of chance. It wasn't like Cramer picked him. Basically a mail opener for the summer.
Working for/with someone and being a summer intern because of a NYC school program are two different things.
He was hired later on as an analyst.
He never worked for Jim Cramer. Jim was no longer with the firm when Cramer Berkowitz hired Martin as an analyst.
The most interesting thing is that no one really seems to have been harmed by his actions. RTRX investors made less money but, arguably, the company would not exist as it does now had Shkreli not been in a dilemma.
Had he not raised drug prices substantially at Turing subsequently displaying his wealth in conspicuous fashion, his future would likely be much brighter.
I doubt the prosecutor is willing to deal now and, I doubt that judge and/or jury will go for leniency.
He really screwed up with Daraprim.
He didn't get very far.
And yes, I do.
I mean, he had help from his lawyer. I'm not exactly sure what you are getting at. All it really amounted to was a ponzi scheme. The only real reason RTRX had the money to pay him was because of the bio boom. If Shkreli had only went that route initially, he wouldn't be in the trouble he is now. His real problem is that he was a terrible money manager and, which, due to his pride, evolved into a ponzi scheme.
Why people gave him money to manage based solely on his claims is beyond me.
That is funny but it is satire.
Some love the concept that a giant conspiracy is behind everything.
I've often wondered why.
People are undoubtedly happy given his stance as the drug price gouging CEO and, he'll likely get skewered if it goes to trial because of that.
After reading the complaint, it was inevitable anyway.
Why, after doing all of that, he wanted to pour gas on the fire, is beyond me. The last thing you want to do I would think is provide extra incentive to investigators.
He managed to alienate everyone in a few short months. Impressive feat.
As expected, both longs and shorts lost heavily overall in KBIO.
While some here profess sympathy for both sides, I have none. If someone dipped their toes into KBIO long or short after he took a large stake in the company, they knew exactly what they were dealing with.
Mikhail Galas was arrested there.
I think that Chris Mrowca will have a harder time staying clean than he will.
NYJ please, thank you.
Curt Kramer loves to have fun with the money that he takes from unsophisticated investors.
If he were good at running money otherwise, he wouldn't have to resort to such a dirty despicable method of doing business. Guess a lack of talent does pay off at times...
I was being facetious.
No one wants capital losses for tax reasons. FONU has done nothing but create capital losses for all investors. Of course, it made plenty of capital gains for the toxic financiers.
It was in response to this post although, I didn't link it. MM knew what I meant if he still reads Ihub.

You're welcome.
FONU's Shapiro was in California creating "value" for his wine investors during that time anyway.
Well, his version of value.
Not the same guy though.
While it is artificial, I have a hard time mustering sympathy for those shorting KBIO after the Shrekli news was out there.
I suspect that many longs after the fact will also rue the day they heard of KBIO.
