It's starting to look...
Like I'll be joining a bunch of others today in the Loser's Pool...
Miami just scored again...Denver down by 17 with 13 minutes to go...
Bummer...Out in week One...
BTW, KC is trouncing the Jets today...
Trops--Check out Headwaters(HW) and...
Syntroluem Corp(SYNM)...Both have big plans for coal to liquid(CTL) and both are good(IMO) and bigboard listed companies that are also into other things besides CTL...We like both of them, and own quite a few shares in each, as we feel this will be the new wave of the future in Energy Production...There is enough coal here in America to run this country for 100 years without importing another drop of foreign oil according to the Gov. of Wyoming and other sources...Do your own DD on these two, and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised...
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
Thanks John...eom
Thanks as2820...eom
What a BAD CALL on the Chiefs second TD!!!
I can't believe the Jets didn't challenge that call...He was down at the one yard line, as the reply clearly showed...
They just gave it to them...I can't believe the line judge called that a TD, as he was standing right there, and it was clear his hip was down before he stretched the ball out over the line...Friggen' UNbelieveable IMO...
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
The Denver game is not on CBS today...
CBS is showing the Jets and Chiefs...
Can anyone give me a good link to find out what's going on on the Internet? TIA
sintwang...I'm not new to RSSYF...
In fact, I brought it to the CPTC--IHUB Boards attention for the first time on 2/1/05 while researching competition for Composite Poles for CPTC...
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=5291422
I liked what I saw then, and took a position at that time...
What I especially like after reading the updated Cohen Report is:
http://www.cohenresearch.com/reports/rssyf_08-05-05.pdf
1) EPS Estimates show they will go profitable in the fourth quarter this year on a Q/Q basis, and next year on a Y/Y basis...That will bring in a lot of new investors all by itself...
2) From the Cohen Report: "The second application the Company is involved in is the supply of it's Version resin to other composite manufacturers of soffit architectural components for the US housing industry. The Company expects further orders for additional resin sales throughout 2005 and beyond for assorted construction, industrial and infrastructure applications".--So they not only manufacture their own products, but their Version resin is so good, that they can sell it Worldwide...
3) Under the section of "Environmental Concerns"..."The Company states their RStandard poles are manufactured using a zero VOC resin", and at the bottom "Version resin has no quotas on use as it already meets all EPA requirements"....This gives this Company a leading edge in the fact it will not have to battle the Environmentalists as to where their poles can be installed, or where their resin can be used...
4) I especially like the fact that they have a 5 person Board of Directors, and with the addition of a new CFO recently, have a 7 person Executive Management Team...
Which is the way it's supposed to be...
Not like the way Composite Technology Corp's. power is concentrated in basically one or two people, which is a good explanation of why they can't seem to get anything done...
5) It appears they are very good at closing deals internationally and domestically, and their poles are fully tested and already part of the "live grid" in many locations around the world: Europe, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia, and hopefully soon in CHINA...
6) I like the fact that they have already achieved "ISO 9001-2000 Certification" status, as many companies require this certification in order to be able to do business with them...
I could go on and on about all the good things I am finding doing additional DD on this Company, and I probably will at a later time...But now it's time to watch some FOOTBALL!!!
And it's really not fair to keep comparing CPTC to this Company, because it's obvious to me that RSI is a Company that has it's chit together and knows how to get things done...and I'm beginning to wonder if CPTC will still be around after Octeber 12th (Bankruptcy Confirmation Hearing), or in a year or two with their current and ineffective management...JMO
As a matter of fact, if CPTC does not have an Awesome PR by Tuesday's open, we will be lightening up on it, and putting that money in here on every pullback, and every breakout of resistance...
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
Yes... I'm watching all of them... ;^)
EP--I REALLY like RSSYF...
Bought a LOT today...I like this one even better than CTC for many reasons...I did a lot of DD on them and they are now my new "Favorite" BB Stock...The Cohen Report was Very Interesting...
I too hope that the China Rumor just happens to be TRUE!!! Which I think is VERY Possible...They need their poles, and CTC's ACCC a LOT!...Hey, maybe the Chinese will pay a surprise visit to Irvine to sign a deal while they're here...Wouldn't that be something? Two China Deals in one week for two of our biggest BB holdings...That would be Awesome!!!
BTW did you see what RBAK did again today? It ran from 9.20 right through 10.00 like a hot knife through butter to 10.25 and is consolidating nicely above 10.00...I think it has one more run in it... ;^)))
Good Luck To ALL...
China State Grid to invest 900 bln yuan...
To expand network 2006-2010
China State Grid Corp, operator of one of China's two power grids, plans to invest about 900 bln yuan to expand its networks nationwide between 2006 and 2010, the China Securities Journal reported.
The newspaper said the expansion, which aims to enhance State Grid's power transmission capacity and to prevent major power cuts, includes the construction of 60,000 km of power transmission lines and a pilot network of 1,000 kV alternating current.
Over the next five years, China State Grid will also build three major hydropower stations in the southwestern provinces of Sichuan and Yunnan and a 750 kV power transmission network in northwestern China.
The company will also complete its power transmission project in the Three Gorges by 2010, said the newspaper.

How much is that in USDollars???
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
Good for you WAWH!!!
I'm glad what I posted yesterday didn't make you sell at 9.50...That's one GOOD SCORE!!! I'm very happy for you...
Sometimes the BBands can throw you off, just like Stochastics can...
As I posted on the Tasty Booshers board last night, I sold my Swing Position at 9.50's yesterday, and had a target price to re-enter at around 9.10, which it almost hit right after the open today...I'm only daytrading now on the sharp pullbacks...My wife still holds in the Long account...
Can you believe he just blew right through 10.00 like a hot knife thru butter??? Truly an amazing run the last two days...I LOVE this stock!!!
Good Luck To YOU ;^)
Anyone else in on RBAK's Awesome Run Today???
I posted at 10:25am this morning it was breaking above the resistance at 9.04
It ran like crazy all day...up to 9.66 since then...Closing at 9.59 today...
I closed out the Swing Position at 9.50 today (still holding the LONG Position), which was the upper Bollie Band on the daily chart, and looks like I took it too soon, as usual...
Now all I can do is daytrade it for a while till I can figure out what it's going to do next...
I assume a pullback will most likely happen, but with this one, it's really hard to tell...It got over 4X the average ten day volume, which for any other stock signals a top...
Long Term, I still see 11.00 by year end from the weekly chart...
Man, I LOVE this stock...The possible reason for this move is: They got a buy rating from an ANALyst I've never heard of yesterday, and it went down yesterday, probably to let the BigBoys in Lower, then the runup of today was not too surprising...
Here's a hint if you're interested in daytrading this one...Wait for a big, fast pullback...and get in at the lower BBand because it pulls back right before it's ready to run usually...This only applies when it is uptrending...
To enter a Swing Trade, I'd wait for a pullback to around 9.10 or so, if that ever happens...
Good Luck To ALL ;^))

My pick for this week is DENVER...Good Luck To ALL ;^)
I'm glad for you Wawh...
The top Bollinger Band on the RBAK Daily Chart is around 9.50 or so...It has broken above the 9.20 resistance, but is way outside the upper BB on the ten day/hourly chart...I'm taking half of my profits here, and will add again if it pulls back here...
I'll take the other half around 9.45 ...Overall, it is a bullish looking chart...Good Volume today...It got a buy rating from an analyst I've never heard of yesterday...
This is still one of my favorite stocks...
Another one for you to look at is: RSSYF...I'm loading up on this one BIGTIME! after doing extensive DD...

Senators Santorum and Specter Announce Authorization for Nation's First Clean Coal-to-Liquid Fuel Plant
Wednesday August 3, 11:32 am ET
WASHINGTON, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Senators Rick Santorum (R-PA), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, and Arlen Specter (R-PA), the Senior Senator from Pennsylvania, announced today the United States Senate has approved language in the Energy bill that authorizes financing for the nation's first clean coal-to-liquid fuel plant.
"This provision will greatly assist our national security by improving our domestic energy supply; I am pleased this technology has the added benefit of producing environmentally friendly, ultra clean, zero-sulfur diesel fuel from waste coal," said Senator Santorum. "This project will be beneficial to the economy of Northeastern Pennsylvania, as well as create new jobs for the region."
"I am pleased my colleagues in Congress have provided this provision to develop the first coal-to-liquid fuel program in the United States," Senator Specter said. "This technology has the potential to dramatically reduce our nation's dependence on foreign oil."
This language allows a portion of funds already appropriated to the Department of Energy and awarded to WMPI PTY LLC, a coal and energy company based in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania, through a Clean Coal Power Initiative (CCPI) competitive grant to be used to fund a federal loan guarantee for WMPI's coal-to-diesel project. The company projects that 1,600 jobs will be created at the Schuylkill County plant alone. This Fischer-Tropsch technology project, which turns waste coal into high quality zero-sulfur diesel fuel, will be the first coal-to-liquid fuel project in the United States. This technology has the potential to dramatically reduce our nation's dependence on foreign oil.
Although this technology is not new or unproven, no other project of its kind exists in the United States. Domestic energy security should be considered a national priority. This language gives a CCPI recipient the flexibility it needs to bring the promise of the program to fruition.
Me thinks this is the new wave of the Future...

I think in this environment...
re: Oil at 70.00 and most likely going higher in the near term....This is the answer to ALL of our Energy problems, on the gas price side...
ACCC is the answer to the worlds Transmission problems...
Sometimes one just has to go with their "FEELINGS"...I thought CTC would be where SYNM is by now...From 2.00 to 14.00 in two years, but CTC has a few problems...It seems to me that these guys have something going on...Have you seen the Governor of California on CNBC talking about ACCC yet??? Is CTC on the Naz yet? Is CTC profitable yet? Well, neither is SYNM, but I bet they make it there first...
In this "enviroment", all of the Alternate Energy stocks are on a tear...I also highly recommend FCEL-Fuel Cell, which also is breaking out of a trading range as of today...Look up a few other of these kinds of stocks...BLDP- Ballard Power, all three of these mentioned here were up over .70 today because of Katrina...It's time for a change, and I see it coming...I hope you all do too...
BTW, CPTCQ may still have a chance of surprising all of us in the near future...and leave BIPH eating it's dust...
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
After listening to the Governor of Wyoming...
On CNBC today, talking about a technology from the 1920's that turns coal into ultra-clean diesel, or gas, I did some DD, and came up with what I think will be a GREAT long term hold...It's getting close to breaking out to 52 week highs...They also do other things, like drill for oil...have projects in Nigerea and New Zealand, and other locations...They are based right here in my own back yard in Tulsa, and I'm going to take a BIG stake on this one on the first pullback to around 11.00-12.00, if there is one...
I'm talking about SYNTROLEUM CORP, and the ticker is: SYNM and they are on the Nasdaq...Do your own DD, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised...The Energy Bill gives huge incentives and tax breaks for companies like this...They aren't profitable, YET...But I am getting the same feeling I had the day I found CPTC with this one, and will soon have a LARGE CORE POSITION FOR THE LONG TERM IN OUR HOLD ACCOUNT!!! Of course, I need to do a LOT more DD myself on this one, but sometimes, I just have to go with my Intuition...
Here's a hint...It only costs the equalivient 35.00/barrel to produce this kind of fuel, and they can take out almost 100% of the pollutants...Crude is at 70.00...The time is ripe for a technology like this...There is enough coal in America to produce fuel like this for 100 years, which means we wouldn't be at the mercy of the Oil Crooks of the Middle East...But, it will take a few years to get even the first plant of it's kind built...Wyoming has one in the works right now...
Here's a couple of charts:
I smell a BIG WINNER here...

Why didn't State Power put out an article...
About CTC opening an office in Shanghai???
They did for a Venezuelan Oil Company on 9/22/05...CTC is in the Energy Sector, and an Oil Company is too, kind of...Go figure...This is the first article I've ever seen on their website of this kind...
http://www.sp-china.com/news/200508290004.htm
"Venezuela's petroleum company opens China representative office in Beijing:
BEIJING, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), the state-owned petroleum company of the South American country, opened a representative office here on Monday.
Rafael Ramirez, minister of energy and petroleum of Venezuela's Bolivarian Republic and president of PDVSA, said the establishment of the representative office, PDVSA China, marks a new starting point of energy cooperation between Venezuela and China. He expected a deeper relationship between oil companies of the two countries.
Ma Fucai, deputy director of the executive office of the energy leading group headed by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, said at the inauguration ceremony that the opening of the office is a milestone in energy cooperation of China and Venezuela. "It will become an important supplementary to the relationship between the two governments and act as a bridge between companies of the two countries," said Ma.
Venezuela is rich in oil resources and is the world's fifth largest crude oil exporter."
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
Interesting article from State Power...
It appears they are even bigger than I imagined...They are not just only in China...
http://www.sp-china.com/international/international.htm
"International cooperation:
SP and its subsidiaries have achieved a lot in international operation, greatly enhanced corporate development, technology and management through importing large amounts of funds, technology, equipment and managerial experience, and made China's power industry as an important part in international power market. After positive international trading, overseas project contracting and deploying labors overseas, SP has greatly enlarged its international trading and bi- or multi-lateral cooperation.
In 2000 SP outlined the strategy of going overseas, and scheduled strategic objectives for SP's internationalization, in order to step into international power and capital markets through various channels and to gradually build SP into an influential trans-national power group.
In 2000 SP signed its first overseas BOT project in Kampuchea, and invested to develop power projects in various countries and areas, such as Georgia, Vietnam and Kenya. SP plans to possess overseas units with 1000 MW installed capacity within five years. At present about 50 sub-corporations of SP have rights of overseas operating, the total contract value has reached 2 billion US $, and its business scatters among over 40 countries and areas in Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Oceania, covering designs and constructions in hydro-power stations, thermal plants, power transmission and transformation projects, as well as construction on highways and bridges. SP's subsidiaries have opened 18 branches or offices in more than 10 countries and regions, such as Pakistan and Thailand. Now SP is going through formalities to open SP (US) Corporation, and will establish liaison agencies in Southeast Asia, Middle Asia, Europe and Africa.
SP has established extensive exchanges with governmental responsible departments, corporations, research institutes and academic organizations of various countries and regions. With frequent exchanges and cooperation, SP has attended International Dam Conferences, International Large Power Grid Conferences, Global Energy Conference, International Electrician Conference, and other related meetings. SP has signed 36 cooperative agreements, 11 exchange memorandums and 8 understanding memorandums with concerned parties and corporation in 19 countries and areas, which has greatly improved mutual development of Chinese and foreign power industries.
SP will focus on the following strategies in the future: to enlarge overseas investment, with priorities on overseas power source and power-related projects; to enhance unified management of overseas agencies, and to increase the required investment for SP overseas branches; to positively explore international markets of project contracting, design consultancy supervision, and laboring exporting and deploying, and to strive for national export credits to promote exports of domestic technology and electrical products; to attempt total contract in the name of SP; to create the unified brand of China SP; and to primarily realize SP's trans-national operation."

Right in CTC's backyard...
MMM trounces us again...How sad...
California should've been CTC's territory...I'm sure you are right beigledog, that they've been testing a lot longer than us, and our testing is going very well, but we are way behind...
It's starting to look like the BIG dog will have a big advantage with domestic sales, especially as long as we have the Q...
It also appears that MMM's product is not as inferior as been discussed on the RB Board...that's becoming pretty obvious...
ACCC may actually be a better product, but with all the problems CTC is going through, MMM has the advantage here...
It's sad we got a pretty decent PR today, and ended the day down .04, with half the ten day average volume...and we broke below 1.95, which does not bode well for the short term charts...
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
The charts are showing signs of life...
The ten day/hourly chart has some interesting things going on...The moving averages are improving...The RSI needs to get above 60...The DMI+ has crossed up through the DMI-...The Stochastics are moving up, and no where near overbought...The MACD is looking good as well, it could almost be called a Kiss to the upside...But the volume is terrible...Maybe today's PR will spark some interest, and we'll move up again today...2.14 and 2.19 are the next near term resistance levels, and IF 2.20 can be achieved on the sizeable double bottom it will have formed in the last five days, it could run up to around the 2.40's IMO, but only if the volume is much higher than it has been lately...Maybe we get another Tuesday PR that will help this to happen...If it goes below 1.95 in the next few days, the downside is to around only 1.80 or so on the double top the chart will have formed in the last three days...
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
CTC NEWS Out This Morning...
Composite Technology's ACCC Conductor Completes One-Hundred Million Cycle Vibration Test
Test Results Confirm Superior Performance and Longevity
IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Composite Technology Corporation (CTC) (OTC Bulletin Board: CPTCQ), a leading developer of high-performance composite core cables for electric transmission and distribution systems, today announced the successful completion of an Aeolian Vibration Test performed on its proprietary Aluminum Conductor Composite Core
(ACCC) and termination hardware provided by FCI-Burndy, a part of the AREVA Group.
The test was conducted by Kinectrics North America Inc., an independent test facility, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Craig Pon, Principal Mechanical Test Engineer at Kinectrics stated, "One-hundred million cycles at the tested conditions represent 30-50 years of vibration in the field." The
test clearly demonstrated that the ACCC carbon fiber composite core and the associated hardware can provide CTC customers with worry-free performance.
The Aeolian Vibration Test is designed to simulate vibration caused by wind passing over bare overhead conductors. The conductor was vibrated at peak-to-peak amplitude of one-third the conductor diameter and a frequency of about 30 HZ for 100 million cycles. CTC's ACCC cable also passed Galloping Tests performed at PLP (Preformed Line Products) earlier this year that recreated higher velocity changes in wind patterns, including those created by microbursts.
"Once again these tests demonstrate the strength, endurance, and overall effectiveness of CTC's composite core technology," said Benton Wilcoxon, CEO of CTC. "As we continue to demonstrate the superior characteristics of ACCC cable, market acceptance of CTC products continues to grow. This particular test is very significant in that it conclusively proves that our carbon fiber composite core is not susceptible to degradation by vibration."

Reading all the posts on your board...And learned a few things I didn't know about...Namely the thing with Aduromed...That shows how much I pay attention to this holding...I'm sure things will turn out OK in the end for all of us LONGS...I just looked up when I purchased my first shares, and it has been a Long time ago...Patience is easy with this one...Not so with our other favorite, though it looks like the end of waiting is nearing for both of them...
Good Luck with your board here...It may start to get busy here in the near future...When this one starts to Move, I'll be bringing a few friends over here...BTW, the news of being shorted by Berlin is new news for me also...I'm sure I didn't like reading that, but at least we know about it now...Did you ever ask Xtrana if they were aware of the problem?
I understand your reasons for voting "against" now...Thanks...I voted "for" BTW...

Wawh...that short of FDX is looking more...
Likely at this point...It's been consolidating in a downtrend for most of today, and has formed a real sloppy head and shoulders in the last two days...that's usually a bearish sign, but have seen stocks go up even after showing this look...I'm watching closely also now...
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
wyobuford...re: EMKR...Nice Pick!!!
I really like this one's charts, but on the daily chart, it is at the top Bollinger Band...If I was this chart: I would spike up and set a new 52 week high just above the last one, to outline what I wanted to do in the future=be in an uptrend...That would stretch the upper band up a lot...
The best thing to do then would be to pullback and stay above the low of 4.51 set on 8/3/05 and form the second shoulder of a perfect inverse head and shoulders, and ease back up...Then, the next time it got back up to 5.50 or so, it would look a lot more convincing that a run could happen...as it's a bit overbought on the stochastics and rsi at this point...
Of course, good news could cancel all this need to consolidate, and off to the moon we go...but the volume would need to really pick up to make this happen...
Good Luck To ALL ;^)
beigledog (or) anyone else...do me a favor please...

Beijing suffers power shortage Monday...
From the State Power website:
http://www.sp-china.com/news/200508250006.htm
"Power shortages should inspire reform...
There is always a positive side to a crisis.
A crisis can prompt ideas and solutions that might otherwise not have even been considered.
While escaping the fuel shortages affecting many southern cities, Beijing suffered a temporary power shortage on Monday.
High temperatures coupled with devastating humidity overwhelmed the city's power supply capacity, and in some parts power supply was stopped for two hours.
It is the first time this summer that the capital city has suffered a power brownout.
Like the power shortages in other cities, Beijing's latest record-breaking power consumption raises questions about how the country's energy policy-makers can cope with the ever-increasing demand brought on by continuing economic growth.
The recent "sauna weather" in Beijing, in other words hot and humid conditions, saw city residents use air-conditioners and other cooling devices at full blast, jacking up electricity consumption.
Weather conditions, however, are not the main factor behind the power shortages around the country: Statistics show that industrial use still accounts for the bulk of the nation's power use.
China began facing power shortages three years ago, when the economy stepped out of deflation, increasing demand for power.
Last year, despite the fact that national power generation was up 14.9 per cent over 2003, the country suffered its most serious power shortages, with 24 affected provinces and regions.
Soaring demand is obviously the main culprit for the crisis.
Thanks to low economic efficiency, our fast economic growth has been achieved at the cost of huge amounts of energy and resources, including electricity.
Experts estimate that by 2020, the expanding national economy will guzzle 2.6 times the current power use. Without improving efficiency of energy use, power shortages are set to worsen.
While encouraging people and enterprises to save energy, we must understand that it will be a long process before society can generally realize the importance of and consciously engage in energy saving.
On the supply side, policy-makers need to take advantage of the current crisis to reform the power sector and make it more adapted to market changes.
Raising electricity prices, while effective, is not the only solution.
Ten years ago, when the national economy was not as hot as it is now, the State discouraged the construction of new power generation factories for fear of possible future excessive supply, sowing the seeds of trouble.
Now as new power stations are constructed on a large scale, it is predicted that power supply will peak and outstrip demand in the coming two to three years, causing a fresh waste of production. This cycle may repeat in the coming decades.
Policy-makers have been slow in responding to those market changes.
A market economy should not mean a lack of proper planning and regulation, as the global economic process has demonstrated. But global economic experiences also show that it is hard for regulators to keep pace with market changes and navigate the economy accordingly.
In the domestic electricity industry, what is urgently needed is not to maintain strict control, but to encourage competition by introducing more investors into the State-monopolized sector.
Although competitive reform has started in the power industry, it is yet to bring about substantial results, with the sector remaining a State monopoly. The government has been deeply involved in industrial investment, power distribution and pricing.
This has made the sector slow in reacting to changes in supply and demand, which will become dangerous in the future if no systematic change is made.
The current power shortage provides a good opportunity for policy-makers to act. It is not advisable, however, for them to directly manage production, but to reform the sector to make it more adapted to the market."

Maybe the reason CTC opened an office in...
Shanghai is: Because that's where EDF an office in China...It looks like they don't have one in Beijing either...Now all CTC has to do is open offices in other locations EDF has one...Like: Japan, Hanoi, and India...

HI Wawh...It's nice to see again...
re: FDX...It looks like it's pretty beaten up here...I don't know it I'd short here, as it is at the bottom Bollinger Band on both of these charts...but the moving averages on both are in bad shape...
It's oversold on the ten day/hourly, and turning up, the RSI is also turning up, the MACD also...If it does breakdown though, it could yield down almost fifty cents...
On the daily chart...it is way below the lower B/Band, and will either have to move sideways, or go up to get back within them...it's oversold for three days, and may rubberband back up because of that...the RSI is at a level that usually calls for an uptrend...yesterday's candlestick is however a perfect shooting star which is bearish...
It's hard to call at this point as I know nothing of the funnymentals or recent news, so...when a stock is this far down, a lot of people use it as a buying opportunity...
