Agreed. No deal under $20. We are worth it!!and more!!!
I had a bid for 1,000 shares at 4.85 and only 100 shares got executed. No worries here (even with a 6.20 average).
Wow 2 block trades (13,000 and 83,216) in closing 18 seconds.
27% of today's volume were 4 block trades. That is not you and me. Somebody is still accumulating.
I wonder if the 20k at the ask is a "fake" offer. Enticing others to sell. If it is, then I would expect to see another large block sale at the close.
It showed up at 3:00 so I'm guessing someone wants to accumulate a lot before eod.
That's great!
Com'on folks open up your wallets. Let's get this to close above 6.15 today and 6.45 on Monday so we can get our $1+ day on Wednesday and close the week at 8+. :)
It's all IBB related.
Not necessarily. There were two different times. At 1:20 there were 23 trades and 949 options traded. At 1:42 there were 19 trades and 58 options traded.
It was most likely the same buyer since each trade was on a different exchange and thus the number of different trades. It was appx a 30k transaction. Control 100,700 shares with the options or buy 5,000 shares with the same funds? They chose the option route. I surely hope it works for them/us.
If someone wanted to accumulate 5M shares at the market price what would be the average price they would pay to buy 5M shares? I'm guessing the average would be more than $9 per share. So, if CM offered them a "quantity discount". I'm thinking the preferred shares would be offered at $8.
On another note, if someone wanted to add a decent number of shares, they could buy 13k shares right now for 6.03. I don't think that offer will be there much longer.
Or it could be used for a partner to take a position.
I did and speculated such last night. I think we would have been off to the races if the IBB wasn't down so much. Hoping for mid day rally in the IBB.
I wonder, if we were to close tomorrow at 7.49 how many of the 7.50 options would get exercised? I would think most would. Why take the risk over one cent not knowing what bomb may drop on Monday morning. They are a lot of shares that can be picked up at 7.50 and if we were to have a big accumulation day it could get real interesting.
If tomorrow starts off with a large block trade, then I think we will see some fireworks. And we should. Existing longs are still adding a little, tutes are still adding, we have new followers and they want to get in big, we may also see accumulation from the Bio conference (attendees and their family and friends) and let's not forget the shorts. They have started to cover and they may want to close out their positions before we get to $7. I see many events culminating and it will still start tomorrow. 3M shares and up $1.50. Why not???
He better know his stuff or fbg will have an issue with his stock options. ;) Just a little late night humor
I would think the institutions wouldn't want to give up the shares and/or perhaps they would also be buying since they know what is coming down.
In the event someone acquired say 50% and offered 4B in effect they are getting it for 2B since they own half.
I'm thinking any potential acquirer can acquire as many shares as possible. That way they can raise the offer which would make existing shareholders happy and it doesn't cost them as much since they would just be paying themselves.
Thank you Jon!
It was a good tread. Thanks for sharing.
I asked this yesterday...
How would the poison pill work? Does anybody know?
For example, if we received a hostile bid for $1B (let's say it's $25/share with 40m shares outstanding) and BOD's view it is inadequate and they invoke the shareholders right plan. Does this mean, they will issue 36m shares (assuming the potential acquirer holds 4m shares) that would worth $20/share (assume right was issued at $10)? Does this mean the potential acquire will now have to pay 1.7B (the original 1B + $20 x 36m add'l shares) to acquire?
Do I understand this correctly?
Thanks in advance for the clarification.
Maybe the IND milestone was already included in the initial payment. I wouldn't sweat it. It would just mean more money for the other milestones.

No aftermarket plunge. 3217 shares traded AM at 5.94. And 130 shares traded at 5.77. This is where volume helps explain the story.
Point taken on the mild to moderate AD patients.
Regarding the pill, I understand what the placebo effect is. My point was (which was answered in your opening sentence) how would there be a psychological benefit if they didn't remember they were part of a study?
I guess my question would be appropriate at such a time the study opens up to severe cases.
Thanks for the reply.
Most (all but 2,125) shares that were loaned out were return.
Welcome aboard. Just curious, what brought you here? Noble?
Tic toc. Don't you feel it!!!
They will most likely PR it the day before /day of presentation. That is what they have done in the past.
How does a placebo work on a group of people who most likely don't even remember taking a pill?
Anyone else thinking 21st century cures act? I was actually hoping it would happen first with AVXL, but ADSX would be just as meaningful.
Give it a few days for story to hit the wires...I decided we will be at 36 by end of June. Then let's talk about a deal.
Sorry Ziggy. I just basically said the thing but you said it first. As many post as there are today, let's see if they need to hire someone or contract someone to keep up with us. LOL
I think the company is reading this board and are pulling them down because we are taking away their glory. They will most likely add after they PR the event.
Good point McMagyar. The placebo effect would most likely wear off in a day because they wouldn't remember they even took a pill (placebo or not). So, if there is efficacy then this should be approved already. Time wasted is life's wasted.
Pin this message. I would add Aussie conditional approval based on prelim efficacy.
Pretty impressive chart!!!
Let's get this moving on the next phase already. Too many life's at stake and Medicare could use the savings from the Benedict of an early approval. Let's put the 21st century cures act to work already. Also, one would think the Aussie government has seen the Ern news story so why aren't they all over Missling to get this moving.
Maybe it will lead to a settlement. I'm sure J&J wants to be done with this "Nit".
Thank you Burr. Hopefully the person asking the question will get his following to go in deep.
I missed the conference call and I don't see the playback yet. Anything worth mentioning? Any good Q&A?
Why was it removed is the question...If the data was changing then why not just leave it alone and keep the placeholder until the last day and then add the additional data? It would. Be interesting to see if another poster takes its place. If so, then we know it was a permanent removal.
I just find it hard to believe it will not present the 15 month data. If it is dropped and nothing else is said then we go nowhere until such time we here something profound (the trial starting, partnership, etc).
So far it doesn't seem like it's a big deal. Maybe a few weak longs selling.
If they take that 21,000 block, on the offer, at 5.80 then it will happen.
Don't you just sense it...that we are the verge to blow through to the 6's. If there is a tute buying here they will gobble all they can in the 5.80's. They can easily pick up 200k+ shares before end of day. I think they will make their move around 3:30
Earlier in the day, level two was showing a lot of orders for sale in the 5.70 to 5.79 range. Looking at it now, it looks like they moved them up to the 5.80's. The 5.80 to 5.82 will be a hurdle so it appears.
