Pappy:
I've been holding this one for quite some time.
Based on your last post, I'd say that you've had it with CKGT.
True?
We are not men
We are lib tards!
(with apologizes to Devo!)
Thanks so much!
To show my true appreciation, I'm going to let you privately buy my shares at 10.00 each!
Another favorite of mine from MT is:
"A gold mine is a hole in the ground with a liar on top."
NJ "Suprpeme" Court is exactly what what O'Nothing wants on the Federal level. Activist, America hating bleeding hearts. And he's getting there.
Thanks! I have to admit it gets me thirsty for some suds every time I see it too!!!!
Agreed.
What we need is some CHANGE!
Er, well, you know what I mean.
SIAF
Joe, anything new/changed on this?
Had I not seen your lawsuit posts on, uh, that other board, I'd gamble on some shares but am loathe to do so!
Joe....really glad Earl's okay.
Honestly, I don't know.
It could double, but from what point, that's the question. Lots of potential bad news still out there.
I'm neither long nor short at the moment.
Sorry for the silly post. But 55 right now seems far fetched, but who knows.
GLTY
LMAO!
You smokee de ganja, mon?
I hear you!
I was ready to just walk away, figuring I'd missed my re-entry and the thing would be skyrocketing.
Back in at a much better price and will now be more patient as sales orders have to be on the way and soon!
GLTmost you!

You mean like this 60 Minutes piece which interviewed the survivor shown on the Austrialian clip?
Didn't say I lost anything.
Was just answering a question from another poster.
Let's say I bought MOPN at .32 and decided to take a loss and sell it at, say, .22.
That's a 10 cent loss per share. Short term capital loss.
If I rebuy MOPN after 30 days, that's a new trade. All is well.
If I rebuy MOPN within 30 days, the original loss is disallowed and it is factored into the next time I sell MOPN (more loss or reduces gain).
It's all math games and you wind up in the same place but it's a PITA when you're doing your taxes!
OK, sorry all.
I was NOT implying to dump more oil into the water.
I thought they could go and soak up some existing oil and kick ass.
Leave it to our government to let red tape screw things up even more.
Fair enough.
I got in at .32. Dumb move on my part.
Got some later at .23 and then sold out at break even (a tiny profit so as not have to worry about the IRS 30 day wash rule).
So, yeah, I was in.
But as of today, I am writing as someone with no shares.
I was thinking the same thing.
Wouldn't a successful real life demostration cause tons of interest?
I was told MOPN is a good bet in this penny arena. I realize the risks involved with pinks, but your question is the only thing holding me back!
Agreed. What I meant to say but it came out unclear.
Good advice.
I've never shorted. I am not at that level.
Puts I like better better because I can judge what my "worse case" loss will be in advance.
OK, now back to "Chiller Theatre" starring BP....
Was thinking that too.
May close my current puts on Monday depending on what the situation is.
My guess is that any pop up will only lead to yet another chance to buy new puts.
Between BO and BP, this situation continually gets more awful by the day.
When you "short" (the first part of the trade) you're selling stock that you don't own (you're borrowing the stock from etrade). It's a loan and you pay interest.
To pay back the loan, you "cover" which is buying back the shares. If the price drops, you made money. If not, you lose. Keep in mind, your loss could be horrendous if the stock runs up fast. Doubt it in BP's case, but you never know.
If you Google "Short sales" and "put options" (another way to place a short bet) you can get plenty of info without waiting on the phone. You really should. There's lots more info regarding margin requirements and margin calls that you need to be aware of. I don't use etrade, but I would guess the info is all there on-line for you.
Happy Birthday to you, ya young whipersnapper! (I'm 53)
And, somewhere in my readings, I think it was also mentions that it was Longhorn's bday just a few days ago.
So a very happy belated to you Hoagie! Thanks for the great welcome here!
No wonder the libs have been tarring and feathering him for years!
Because he's onto them!
Seriously. Fernando...feel better.
SkeBallLarry:
A very happy Father's Day to you!
Like I said to you elsewhere I'm not a big poster but wanted to wish you and everyone else here a good wish.
POS
Timeless and good advice!
If it wasn't for her warmth, wit and beauty, she'd be really a total disaster!
Hoo boy, that's the worse rot gut you can swallow!
The only item that he knows how do without the teleprompter is blaming Bush!
It's their way of "winning" arguments.
You run rings around them logically and they simply retort that you're a racist. End of argument. Pretty sickening.
I hear you but I mean the young kids like my 11 year old.
Any dumbass who voted for Zero deserves what he/she gets but the problem is that we all get hosed.
