Back scratching yes, but who's shares are they buying. Since the last normal trades were at 3.02, do you think there were enough shares for sale up to 3.09? If there were, then alot of flippers just got knocked out of the picture if we move up big starting next week.
Just my uneducated thoughts
Kevin
I think I answered my own question. The shares being offerd by GTE to the investors had a max offerprice of 3.03. Since these are not going at 3.03 they must not be the same. Which means yeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Is it Monday yet
Kevin
Form S3/A filed. I wonder if these large shares are the same shares GTE is selling to the investors as stated in the filing?
Kevin
S3/A filing out, I cannot link to it for some reason.
The level 2 shot of that one was worth a screen shot. It printed and on my desk. I wonder what next week will bring?
Kevin
1,386,700 at 3.09 and another 472600 at 3.09 both occured around 16:07. WOW!!!
lmiller1977 from RB pointed out that GTE has a short interest of 481,934 shares.
I did a little extra checking on the AMEX site. It also shows the same thing for June with 1 day to cover shares.
(follow link to amex, click on short interest on left menu, then enter GTE)
http://www.amex.com/amextrader/?href=/amextrader/tradingData/RegSHO/TrDa_RegSHO.jsp
I know the shorted shares are less than 1% of the outstanding shares, but they have to be covered eventually. Combine that with the Russel 2000 on June 24 plus any news Mr. Huff may have for us and who knows maybe we will see some upward movement soon.
Kevin
I do not think it is "Too bad that so many here are expecting all these items to be fast tracked at the speed of light". We are only expecting what we have been told by Globetel. Delays happen, I can live with that.
So should we not trust what the leadership of the company says? I trust them, that is why I am invested in GTE. I try to form my opinions based on what the leadership of the company says (thousand of airships - production of 300 a year by 2007). They are the ones who set up the fast track picture. I feel confident in what they are doing.
I know we will have setbacks and delays, but I believe Mr. Huff intends to fast track this as quickly as he can. I imagine he gets just as frustruated as we do at delays. We do not have all the information he does (Note to Tim: please share more of the big picture with us :end note), things may be moving alot quicker than any of us realize. They could also be moving alot slower. I don't know which is true, all I can go on is the guidance from GTE and the current pace of things. The current pace of things does point to the slower side of things. Either way I am glad there are so many here who are expecting big things.
Wow, sorry for rambling.
Kevin
You make some great points. We really do not know what requirements the FAA, Air force and NASA have before allowing a launch.
My problem is that I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. I know there are going to be lots of presents and I want them all now, without waiting for Christmas morning.
Kevin
Production run is definately a better term to describe it. In my previous post, I believe I found what I remember reading. Just shows my memory leaves something to be desired.
Have a good night
Kevin
LOL - talk about timing, "gone_amex" on RB posted this link.
http://www.telecomasia.net/telecomasia/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=165793
The article states "The production goal is some 300 airships a year by 2007."
I think it may be a repeat of an old article, but it verifies what we have been discussing. Worth another read, just to keep one focused on the long term goals.
Kevin
Test Thanks, Do you remember hearing when mass production is supposed to begin?
Looks like composite tubing based on Rockys post and link. If that is the case no need for molding.
Kevin
Thanks Rocky, I also remember reading something about building 200-300 stratellites a rear. I have been looking, but have not found it yet. I believe it was in a news article and not a PR.
Kevin
Considering GTE plans to build thousands of stratellites
http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/news.jsp?url=fis_story.asp%3Ftextpath%3DCOMTEX%5Cko%5C2005%5C04%5C12...
It would make sense to set up for mass production early. I also believe I read somewhere, (but cannot find it) that GTE plans to build 200-300 stratellites a year starting late this year or next. Not sure if I am remembering correctly or not. I would guess full production will not be up until next year.
Kevin
I hope sooner than October, but who knows?
Does anyone know anything about the composite material. I imagine the framing pieces are molded and poured (which is great for mass production). If designed properly, which I fully believe it is, it should assemble very quickly.
Just some more thoughts
Kevin
Thanks Rocky for the balanced reply. Kevin EOM
Another question. It appears we have had to completely redesign the origional plans for the stratellite as provide by Sanswire. If that is the case, then could it not be said that their stratellite did not meet launch criteria. I am wondering if these changes will lead to the agreement for the distribution of subsequent shares to sanswire being modified?
If you were to buy a new car and have to immediately change the engine, transmission, fuel pump, and tires you would be asking for some money back also. (I know it is a bad analogy, but I hope you get the point).
Thanks for everyone's input
Kevin
Rocky - Maybe it was a bad assumption to call it Sanswire 2. I made it after reading this part of the article
"where the airship is to be assembled using components from an earlier, somewhat smaller prototype airship unveiled this spring in San Bernardino"
It may not be the full size Sanswire 2, but it certainly appears that Sanswire 1, as unveiled this spring will not be flying.
I really hope the expert help we are getting from NASA does not turn out to be a wolf in sheeps clothing. IMO If the stratellite flies, we will step on the toes of alot of big money organizations (Satellite builders, Satellite launch companies, cell phone tower builders, cell phone companies, internet providers, voip providers, defense contractors, satellite radio providers, satellite TV providers, cable companies, and possibly even NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). I know I have missed many more.
I believe Mr. Huff is doing the best he can, however I worry that the experts may mislead him and slow things down or stop progress all together with rebuilds, changes to the design, etc...
I hope I don't sound like I'm bashing, because I am not intending it that way. I just do not read it as being Sanswire 1. It may not be Sanswire 2, maybe (Sanswire 1.5).
I am just disappointed because I was really hoping for a launch in late August or September. Maybe it will still happen, but the part of the article stating "We're going to try to start construction around July 1 to August" does not leave me very optimistic on that either.
Thanks
Kevin
Am I understanding this properly? Are they not going to fly sanswire 1? It appears as though they are going to use parts from it to build sanswire 2 and they are not starting construction until July 1 to August. Help me out on this one Rocky, I'm not very happy with this one. I hope I am missing something.
Kevin
Wow, is the payload capacity of that thing 5 or maybe 6 pounds. lol
Good to see we are way ahead of the curve on this one.
Thanks for the article
Kevin
CERTAMX - Certification by the American Stock Exchange approving securities for listing
Rocky - am I correct in assuming that the 2million shares sold by CGI is actually around 133,333 post split. So CGI has around 633,000 post split shares left?
TIA
Kevin

I don't get the pop up. If you download the google toolbar (it's free), it has a good pop up blocker built in that blocks most pop ups.
http://www.google.com/intl/en/options/
Also, spybot is also great to run. It is also free.
http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10401314.html?tag=lst-0-1
I have never had any trouble because of these programs and I highly recommend them.
Rocky, I know this is not a GTE related post and if you want to remove it you have my permission. I just wanted to help out with doctorS's question
Kevin
Wow, I guess that means my shares will be worth $100 a share. That means Mr. Huff must have been right in buying hotzone.
Good day all longs
Kevin
5cents - the pictures you were asking about yesterday are back up now on the hotwire site. You might already know, but I thought I'd mention it.
http://natalie.hotzonewireless.net/gallery/sanswire
Kevin
5cents - I have opened them in the past(atleast a month ago), but can't get them to open today. They showed pictures from Atlanta test, including placing equipment on helicopter.
Hope this helps
Kevin
Rocky - kestrel aerospace has updated their web. They no longer mention stratellite. They still mention dual ducted application for high altitude airship though. I wonder if we have changed to a different motor?
http://www.kestrelaerospace.com/airship.htm
Thanks
Kevin
Thanks for the update. I just finished watching the interview and agree it was the best I have seen yet. I think globetel needs to link to it from their home page.
Wow
Kevin
Rocky - I think design was talking about the video feed from bell ringing which is now up.
Kevin
Rocky - I noticed this morning that globetel is listed as a partner on the Timesofmoney web page. It has probably been there for a while also and I just missed it. Sorry if it has been posted already.
http://www.timesofmoney.com/tomHome_alliances.jsp
Are we up and running with them?
TIA
Kevin
Rock - sorry, I must have missed it. It was listed under new to amex section, but I did not remember seeing it on the AMEX home page.
Thanks
Kevin
Rocky - thanks for the reply. I was out part of last week and the weekend, sorry for the late thank you.
Kevin
Does anyone know if there is a live web video feed of the bell ringing. I have looked around the AMEX site a little with no immediate success.
TIA
Kevin
FYI - GTE is showing up on the main page of the amex web as new to AMEX today.
http://www.amex.com/
I was wondering why we were not there last week, but understand now that they were apparently waiting on the bell ringing. I had also thought we would get some big contract news last week, but I imagine they would hold it for the same reason.
Good day all longs
Kevin
Rocky - are you going to be attending the bell ringing?
TIA
Kevin
Thanks Rocky - after the 90 days to register the shares are they restricted for a year.
TIA
Kevin
BaldEagleye - thanks for the reply. To be honest, I am not too concerned, just confused. I am sure there are sound business reasons for it, but I do not understand the reasons. That points to a problem with my understanding and not the companies management. lol
Also, going along with my lack of understanding. If the share price ran to $9.00 a share could they still exercise the "Warrants to purchase" additional shares at $5.09 a share. It loods like a no lose situation for the person buying the shares. I cannot see the advantage in GTE not just selling the shares at the current higher market price to raise funds.
I am long on GTE and I look forward to much more to come. I appreciate that management is executing their plan and am confident with the direction of the company. Again, the problem is with my understanding, not the company.
Good day all longs and new investors
Kevin
Rocky - I don't understand why gte would sell shares at .1924 pre split or $2.86. Why don't they just sell them on the open market where they could get arount $3.90. I know there something I am missing here.
Kevin
