Rocky - Maybe it was a bad assumption to call it Sanswire 2. I made it after reading this part of the article
"where the airship is to be assembled using components from an earlier, somewhat smaller prototype airship unveiled this spring in San Bernardino"
It may not be the full size Sanswire 2, but it certainly appears that Sanswire 1, as unveiled this spring will not be flying.
I really hope the expert help we are getting from NASA does not turn out to be a wolf in sheeps clothing. IMO If the stratellite flies, we will step on the toes of alot of big money organizations (Satellite builders, Satellite launch companies, cell phone tower builders, cell phone companies, internet providers, voip providers, defense contractors, satellite radio providers, satellite TV providers, cable companies, and possibly even NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). I know I have missed many more.
I believe Mr. Huff is doing the best he can, however I worry that the experts may mislead him and slow things down or stop progress all together with rebuilds, changes to the design, etc...
I hope I don't sound like I'm bashing, because I am not intending it that way. I just do not read it as being Sanswire 1. It may not be Sanswire 2, maybe (Sanswire 1.5).
I am just disappointed because I was really hoping for a launch in late August or September. Maybe it will still happen, but the part of the article stating "We're going to try to start construction around July 1 to August" does not leave me very optimistic on that either.
Thanks
Kevin
