the last 2 years any long term investor here has lost their shirt even with dividends factored in!
Just a matter of time till the bubble burst! That's why I only use the wheel strategy.
Dividends are nothing more than a return of your investment regardless of the percentage. Dividends are deducted from the share price unlike a CD that pays interest and the principal stays the same!
That is why I only use the wheel strategy any longer! Yes it does require work and study however a 30% return on 90% successful trade results works for me...
What's there not to understand? Market is at all time highs while the economy is in the chitter! Just a matter of time before the bubble burst.
I quit following CLM a while ago. I did mark the NAV web site a long time ago and just went to check it and found it no longer exist?
This issue has well out performed the market so your guess is a good as mine!
It's been the dog of my portfolio for the past few years. LOL I thought you promote LONG term investing with little to NO selling ? (unless for tax selling purposes)
WBA has been One of the foundations to my family pass down. My Mother started with 200 shares and her broker back in the 80's said it's going no where so she sold 100 of her 200 shares!
Left with only 100 shares she held for over 30 years accepting all the stock splits happily as well as continued gains in value! Well the results were short of phenomenal! When she finally Passed 5 descendants were rewarded with the results!
My daughter who is 14 now will receive her fair share when she is 18 and yes in the last 3 years WBA took a hit but my Daughters trust continues to grow as you just showed us how nicely the dividend increases continue to grow!
I sold some 10.5 puts at .30 myself for next Friday looks good lets see what earnings do after close!
sold 3 47 Puts at .50 for next Friday the 12th it will make a nice Premium dividend payment if they expire worthless otherwise I will own them at 46.5 in which case I'll also collect the dividend and then I'll sell calls. Much more fun than waiting for the quarterly div. I can add Puts and call premium dividends weekly using the wheel.
It has a nice dividend increase over the years though!

Nice TQQQ just did a 2 Fer stock split so my 2 short put contracts are now 4 at a strike price of 82.50.
I have been selling premium on this issue for 3 months now so I have a Cash credit of 65 dollars a share on my 4 contracts! I'll take the 400 shares if for some reason it fell back to my strike no problem!
Now with the lower price range I will just continue to sell premium!
Happy Trading
LOL my post was sarcasm you be correct more likely be downsizing!
GMJDubbs INTV holders going be buying new homes soon!
This market is nuts I rolled my TQQQ UPRO Short Puts out to next Friday the 29th keep the same strikes. Now they are already in 50% profit. I am a little gun shy to bring the strikes up I can't see the market sustaining these moves for much longer even with the Biden Inauguration settling in.
It's going have to correct before long however 2021 is Roaring along so far!
Also sold some calls on MO today all is good Happy Trading!
Southern CO (NYSE:SO) declares $0.64/share quarterly dividend, in line with previous.
Forward yield 4.31%

Y.I.K.E.S That one is a little pricy for me! Man 70 grand for a 1-2 dollar contract I'll stick with TQQQ!
Cheers Mate
Just sold 4 [T] Put contracts at 28 strike for the 1/29 expiration!
Just sold a bunch of 28 puts for 1/29 good to go!
I stay as far back as possible to get a 1-2 dollar credit per contract. So on TQQQ that is 20 dollars out of the money and with UPRO that is 3-4 dollars out of the money.
I also play many under 50 dollar securities like T, MO, WBA,GE, F SO My goal is 30% annualized return I only use the weeklies so I generally close out my position on Wednesday and take a new one for the next week so my trade duration is 10 days max.

you can always buy it back to close the trade. You might let it get called then sell Puts until you get Put back the stock thus why it's called the wheel.
If you buy it back you will lose and increase your cost biases . By employing the wheel strategy you can lower your cost!
It's going great! I usually write 4-5 per week for my weekly Friday Pay check! Mostly just sell out of the money puts and 90% of the time they expire worthless and I just sell another one for the next week.
The 2 I use the most lately is TQQQ and UPRO etf's that follow the markets and have huge premium attached to there contracts.
On the occasional time I get assigned I just turn around and sell calls until I get called again and start the cycle all over.
Worked out at 30% last year and off to a good start so far. The downside risk would be another market crash so I never go over 50% of my buying power to have a nice Cash position at all times.
Happy New Year!

Buy the Dips!
Sold some 28 puts for Jan 8th! Should be good if not I'll take the shares.
You can sell it on xdate the 8th if you sell it on the 7th you won't get the div. Pretty sure that means after hours as well.
