Speaking of PDI, what woke it up today? No news that I can see. Another fund bought in, maybe?
Get a subscription to Dividend Detective, Harry Domash has all of the companies that pay dividends broken down by criteria, Monthlies Quarterlies, Special divs, Semi annuals, Annuals, all industries, he does a really good job. His site will save you hours of DD

Only get dividend payers that issue a 1099, do not get enticed in to K1 reporters like IEP. Carl Icahn pays a healthy dividend because You get stuck paying the taxes.
yep. Own it. And ECC, CRF, OXLC, ABR, YBTC.
I have lots of my house sale $ in broker (Fidelity and public.com) cash, and a FDIC bank acct that seems to still be at 5.3% (public dropped from 5.1 to 4.6% right with the Fed 0.5% cut, Fidelity still at 4.91%). I'm skittish about putting too much $$ in anything, even divvy payers, what with the markets being so high... and things like public and private debts being so high..plus a friend with a very good handle on events works in downtown Seattle and reports very high vacancy rates there...he will NOT be surprised if, post election, regardless of whether tRump ends up in ball and chain or not, a crash comes....
Anticipating the int rate drops, a financial advisor personal friend suggested XONE as a way to possibly "lock in" 5%, so I got $20k worth--half in my IRA...
Starting at the bottom- yes I am a PNW resident.
I am currently looking at NVDY. I own a small position in NVDA, so I know how that trades.
Yes, I do own CLM- have off and on for years,- Mostly on.
A fund you might want to look at is PDI. It's a Pimco fund at it has paid .22 monthly since 9/2015. Good hedge.
Interesting stuff, eh? I got into NVDY on 8-6... and just placed a 10.43 limit order for some ULTY. (I see it filled...and, surprise surprise, is now at 10.37 a few minutes later)
Just found "retire on dividends" YT channel.
I see you might own some CLM. I do as well.
Sold my rental hs in north Marysville 3 months ago and am augmenting my retirement with CEF's, ETF, mutuals and a few stocks, with a bent toward high divvy payers!
Am in LUNR and would get more if it pulls back
I have not been active in the markets more than a tiny bit since losing huge in the dot com crash..and became a basher..lol
Refresh my memory, aren't you a fellow PNW(et) resident? 😋

I looked at it on Yeld max web site we will get a divi once every 4 weeks on regular ETFs and every week on the others. I dont have any of the ymax and ymag.
No- it's an unknown. If I didn't already own it, I would just have it on a watch list now. But- since I do- I'll hold it until it gives me a reason not to.
Not too sure on the new schedules.
It likes the rate cut for sure.

This is worth keeping an eye on for the next few weeks.

That's a good question. Since I own some, I will hold it and see what happens. The original divi averaged a little over $.60 per month. Since it is options based, I would expect the distribution to be higher on regular monthly expirations dates (i.e. tomorrow) and less on the other weeks- assuming they are based off weekly expirations. We should know after the first couple months whether this is right and whether the weekly distributions are equal to what the monthly one has been.
Saw that article a few days ago checking on my ETF's.
Guess I'll be a Guinea Pig. Gonna buy a few shares of YMAX and see what happens in the next few weeks.
Dividend is supposedly approx. 22 cents a share.
That's crazy, Ive never heard of anything like it, thanks for the heads up BC

Note- Yieldmax has changed distributions to weekly.
You can find new distribution dates here.

CHICAGO and MILWAUKEE and NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- YieldMax™ announced upcoming changes to its distribution schedules today.
Beginning September 18, 2024, the following changes will be implemented:
The YieldMax™ fund of funds ETFs (YMAX and YMAG) will aim to make weekly distributions
All the other YieldMax™ ETFs’ distribution cycles will be staggered throughout each month
Why is YieldMax™ making these changes?
YieldMax™ is addressing investor demand to receive distributions on a more frequent basis. The result of this change is that investors now have various options to either receive weekly distributions from YieldMax™ ETFs or to create a portfolio of monthly distributing ETFs, which will have a staggered distribution cycle. The end result will be at least 8 ETFs making distributions every week.

Yieldmax's offerings look sweet, but maybe may not stay so high as they get more volume?
How about NMAI Currently yielding over 11% and with a relatively flat price for a few years. Is it better to buy before or after the next dividend--on 7/14? If I buy before, do I get the entire monthly div. Or, if the price drops by about the same .40 div, then, not much advantage either way, if any?
Good luck with your trading.
Thanks a million! I just did. Some amazing yields... and with some, like NVDY, capital appreciation as well.
I haven't traded stocks in years, but will soon be cashing in on a house sale. Being retired, I'd be happy with 8% yr on average.. and have been considering higher yield div stocks and ETF's as strategy. So, when I noted more than one Yieldmax ticker paying 45-55% yields, my ears perked up!
Any words of advice/caution?
Check out Yieldmax they have some of the best
Specifically, 5 or 10-best monthly-dividend-stocks??? .......Thanks!!!
Thoughts on monthly dividend-payers? Thanks!!!

Sorry but that looks like a sinking ship.
Started at $25.30 and now down to $17.87 even with the DIVI of $6.379 paid so far makes this a losing proposition IMO.
ps: Thanks again for TSLY heads up.

Liked TSLY so much I created a board for it.
I also jumped into it today and rode it up for the $0.44 gain it had today.
Hoping you will follow the TSLY board and post info on it.
