Is it a signal of direction or magnitude? If not, what is it's significance?
What do you mean by shots across the bow?
I'll bite.
Are you saying the circles represent gaps to be filled? If so, what are the implications of the one just above 400? I normally don't engage on TA because no specifics are given. What are you expecting to hear about your last post? What is intriguing and worth discussion? If you want to talk about something try and be more clear about what you are saying. Folks will engage as long as there is something clear to respond to.
It's always been a waiting game.
Because lots of the population are generally greedy and stupid.
Understood. The good news is the market is full of folks that are happily willing to throw good money after bad. Have a great weekend.
I won't post the article again but will say that market timing has not and does not work. Inflation eroded cash and low yields aren't going to get you there either. Diversifying in non correlated assets bought over the long term is a proven winner. If I am working as a costco greeter in my 70's it will be because I want to, not because I have to.
Thank you. Best of luck to you as well.
It seems the technology that allows for an oral vaccine would be very worthwhile. Not necessarily covid but generally.
Do you have a retirement/savings plan? I don't think a basement full of Elvis plates is going to make for a comfortable retirement.
No one cares if you're a day trader. If you are looking out years or decades, the thousands of .2% mean something.
Fedex report not going to help things.

You post multiple times a day that something is flashing either a bearish or bullish sign. What is a bearish or bullish sign to you?
What was the bearish sign?
What, voices in your head or real science like chicken bones and tea leaves. What is a bearish sign to you?
My statement was geographically agnostic. A pig is a pig in Thailand, Germany and the US.
Tip of the iceberg.
He means that SGLB is still a pig. Putting lipstick on it just makes it a pig with lipstick. The only that thing that will pretty up this pig is material and sustainable sales.
My opinion is that we are at or near the top.

I always have some equity, some cash, some fixed income and some real estate. The covid correction was a great opportunity to rebalance. I am not a home run hitter. Singles and doubles will get me where I need to be.
Again, what makes you think you are the only one that knows this? If and would have are easy. Sticking to a long term investing plan is not.
Which brings me back to my original point.
What makes you think you are the only one that understands that?
Agreed. The contribution from Apple has been huge. Over the last 10 years Apples total return has been 452.32% (40.72% annualized). That compares to 128.9% (18.00% annualized) for SPY. It is a market cap weighted index. The highest market caps will have the most contribution up or down. Returning that much more than the rest of the members is going to get you a bigger market cap and higher percentage of the index and with that, higher percentage of the ETF. Apple has done this by Increasing revenue and superior cash flow.
2012 Rev 156.51 billion
2020 Rev 347.16 billion
2012 FCF 45.5 billion
2020 FCF 73.37 billion
Nothing to imagine. Just the facts.
What makes you think you know what I do and don't understand?
Imagining is not part of my investment process.
Should I pick a stock?
I thought this was the SPY board. Isn't SPY one of the most broad representations of stocks on the planet.
In the case of SPY, that would have meant leaving 13.5% on the table.
When you and I are strapping on ice skates in hell.
Add the 50 dma. Been bouncing off that for a while.
Thank you.
I am and have allocated accordingly.
How long did it take covid toppers to get back to even?
How long did it take 87 toppers to get back to even?
A theory that is as old as time. Some day it may come to fruition. In the mean time I want to retire with something better than social security and to this point, it is the best avenue I have found for me and mine.
Not trying to dispel any conspiracy here. Just wanted to say that the top is never know in the moment.
To the investor. Almost free relative to other investment avenues.
Not the performance erasing number you implied.
I understand etfs. Up to now since January 1993, it has been in lock step with SPX. There may be a day when that changes but not today.
Are we going to cherry pick dates now? Ok. 4/30/2021 to 9/13/2021 SPY is up 7.37% vs SPX 7.46%.
Marginal fees at best.
Actually I said...
Depends on when you bought it. 6 months ago you thought you were buying the most highest price ever. March 2000 you were buying at the highest price ever at close to 1500. Just saying the highest price ever today could very well be a 3x or 4x given enough time.
I'm talking SPY not a company that has gone through bankruptcy.
