"In Wavexpress, we found the perfect platform and player for our broadband video service," commented Mr. Gonzalez. "Wavexpress provides security technology that protects Azteca programming from being copied and pirated, as well as experience in broadband content delivery, allowing Todito a risk-free way to generate cash flow from the broadband market with very low capital investment."
Another positive spoke in the wheel! - I think this PR comment is an important factor of our WXpress appeal, with all sorts of different nationalities spread around the globe. e/
"Todito TV subscribers are Mexicans living outside Mexico who want
to watch the excellent programs produced by TV Azteca, be it news or
soap operas," commented Adrian Gonzalez, Todito's Chief Operating
Officer. "Now, for a bit more money, those subscribers can watch
full-screen DVD-quality versions of their favorite Azteca programs. We
also believe that there is a large market of Mexicans living outside
the U.S. with broadband connections who were put-off by the
lower-quality image and small size of Todito TV Basic but who will now
subscribe to Todito TV Premium."
Wonder how much Wave figures in these contracts? e/

Federal IT awards up 50%, report says
By Gail Repsher Emery
PostNewsweek Tech Media
Federal agencies awarded more than $23 billion in IT-related prime contracts in the second quarter of this year, 50 percent more than in the same period last year, according to Input Inc., a Reston, Va., government IT market research firm.
According to an Input report released today, federal government IT prime contract awards for the same time period in 2003 totaled $15.5 billion.
The report examines the total value of more than 180 IT-related awards and the most active contractors in the second quarter.
According to the report, five departments – Homeland Security, Army, Navy, Air Force and Transportation – awarded 90 percent, or $21 billion of all contract dollars in the second quarter.
The Homeland Security Department was the biggest spender, awarding contracts worth $10.7 billion, of which $10 billion was awarded to Accenture Ltd. of Hamilton, Bermuda, for the U.S. Visitor and Immigration Status Indication Technology System.
In comparison, DHS awarded just $93 million in contracts in the second quarter of 2003.
Lockheed Martin Corp. and Northrop Grumman Corp. tied for most contract awards during the quarter, according to Input.
Most Lockheed Martin contracts came from defense agencies, Northrop Grumman’s awards were evenly spilt between defense and civilian agencies.
Input’s report also noted that set-aside awards to small businesses decreased by 20 percent during the second quarter.
Fifteen federal departments awarded more than $451 million in set-aside competitions to small businesses in the second quarter, down from $562 million awarded during that period in 2003.
Set-aside competitions accounted for 2 percent of total contract dollars awarded in the second quarter, Input found.
The Navy led all departments in number of set-aside awards with 18 such awards worth $226 million.
Mig! - Keep the faith bro' - keep the faith!!! e/
Seems little doubt to me, that these latest PR's let out are destined to 'keep the pot boiling' if you like, I don't think they'll allow the stock price to defray further, for sure the bigger news releases can only occur when all the pieces and players are into place.
Certainly SKS shows no temerity when he's questioned on immediate finance, in fact he exudes a quiet confidence, and also in dealing with various company's and the media, so any 'wringing of the hands' now at this time maybe just a tad premature, for in my book the man is miles ahead of the game, he's got us out this far and like we always have, we just really have to trust that he sustains this momentum. e/
Good work 'jakes_dad! - Only wish I could join you, think there'll be a few more cursing the fact, that Wavx @ .9+ is a great buy IMVHO. e/
yaya! you're da man!
Surely must be a certain amount of angst regarding the market price, at this time, being generated by the Wave BO directors, one wonders what other little gems they have up their sleeves.
Strangely doesn't seem to be too much concern there, on the refinancing issue IMO. e/
awk - Who would have asked who, in your estimation. e/
"By joining the ARM Connected Community, which now comprises more than 250 companies, Wave Systems increases the large portfolio of skills, products and services that are centered around the ARM architecture, and currently available to developers worldwide," said Mary Inglis, director of Software & Alliance Marketing for ARM.

After three consecutive news releases! The only things that'll impress in today's market IMO, is a Co's loaded coffers, and the imminent prospect of more. eom

I missed this! - Thanks Orda/helpful great find!
A couple of years ago we talked distantly about Wave & Hippa, but not anymore those dots have become chains!
And OK it will be nice to make a profit on this stock, but surely more importantly with Wave Systems tech’ - we can be instrumental in sorting out the USA/world health systems big-time here!
From Orda’s post.
‘The savings from making the transition to electronic health records, according to administration officials and health care experts, could be sizable in terms of both dollars and lives. The report estimates that if most patient records were in electronic form, the savings would be about $140 billion a year, or nearly 10 percent of the nation's annual health care bill.
Besides the cost savings from reduced paper handling, the automation of an electronic system could sharply reduce medical errors, which are estimated to be responsible for 45,000 to 98,000 deaths a year - more than breast cancer, AIDS or motor vehicle accidents, according to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences’
As I inferred before, this man Dr.Brailer is a mover and a shaker! /eom
The government report was prepared by Dr. David J. Brailer, who was appointed in May as the national coordinator for health information technology, a new post. Health care industry experts see his appointment and the government plan as encouraging steps. But, they note, much will depend on how forcefully the government pursues its goals and how effectively the private sector responds
cmf! - More to this one than meets the eye! - just found this e/

helpful! - A polished HIPPA presentation, which one can see has certainly got it's attractions when placed into the ongoing turmoil, surrounding the various health authorities melee, who perhaps really need a trustful source, to hang their hat upon. e/
IAMSAM OT! - Sorry snackman! but I have agree with Sam, Barge
was simply putting right a wrong, at an emotive time when Wave was dipping, and I have to say 'more power to his elbow' IMHO. Boom
16k @ 1.10 e/
yaya! - MM's won't hold this 'special' for too long IMO.
Hey awk! - Ahem!! you feeling OK pal??? e/
Attractive price Yaya! - Any dry powder left? - 'cus I spent all mine at 1.21 Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
yaya - Scary!!!! - with a lot of these monied scams finishing up in Baltic/Russian banks I understand. e/
Hi Larry! - Congratulations on your acquisition - you certainly dithered awhile, but having dived into the Wavx pool, you could find it presently, a little chilly at 1.10, but be assured it's going to warm up plenty in these weeks to come. e/
zen - Needs your detective hat on! - You really need to trace & physically remove a program that has attached itself to your C drive / program files.
The last time I had a similar rogue attachment - after weeks of frustration- I finally tried right clicking the program (somewhere I can't actually remember) and then hit properties - which then gave me the C drive location. e/
ps. You may see location embellished in URL flash up.
I should think 'Logarithm Larry' must've filled today Lol!! e/
Mig - Agreed! - But nothing to compare with our TVT quality at present, just a pity we can't get this tech stuffed in the face of 'Joe Public' - 'cus there's a terrific driving force out there. e/
OK! - so forget Mastery TV stuff, I've just seen this -
eom/

More thoughts! - If TV Tonic was to be involved somehow with any advert free - world sporting magic moments ie. coming Olympic events ect.- it would presumably have to be carried by one of our WXpress licenced holders.
The 'Ukraine effort' seems a bit tricky, and 'Yes' at this time, may not be likely, that can leave only one other possible entity - 'Mastery TV'.. Dah! Dah! - At a $5 per monthly fee.
OK so we're not that thrilled with 'MTV' setup, but notwithstanding that, it sure would be nice to get more exciting WXpress exposure put in front of us IMO, and now - with the summer /winter games, via the living room platform, has got a very attractive feel to it.
Remember this MTV announcement!
TVTonic delivers and stores Mastery Television's premium programming to each viewers PC. When a viewer visits the front page of masterytelevision.com, the channel is displayed automatically. Unlike streaming video or broadcast TV, programming starts immediately, and the viewer can use an interactive menu to pause, rewind, or skip ahead to another program. The network uses Wavexpress proprietary digital content protection technology to guard against file sharing and illegal content duplication.
"Wavexpress provides us with critical components for powering Mastery Television, including content protection, scheduling, distribution and presentation technologies," said Tom Wood, president/CEO, Mastery Media Inc. "The TVTonic media player offers our audience the tools they need to be truly engaged with our content. This incredible technology provides our viewers maximum participation, learning, enjoyment and value. Our partnership with Wavexpress puts Mastery Television on the cutting-edge of what will be the global standard for interactive, content-rich, Internet-based television."
"Mastery Television is the first TV network to recognize the market opportunity for making top-tier educational programming available to a worldwide audience via broadband," said Michael Sprague, president and COO, Wavexpress. "Mastery Television has an uncompromising vision of what an interactive channel should be. The TVTonic distribution network and client technologies provide the essential tools they need to make that vision a reality."
Mastery Television is available worldwide at www.masterytelevision.com. Much of the programming, searchable 24/7/365, is free of charge. For those who want more, subscriptions start at $4.95 per month. Mastery Television does not carry any advertising. The term of the agreement continues through 2004. Financial terms were not disclosed.
goinup - No access! - Think you may need to paste it. E/
awk - Hope he'll be alright down there, is he OK for provisions! e/
howard! - Watcha' talkin' we got coiled springs going on here! e/
Phew! - 19k @ 1.15
Wow! - These finds are certainly more than just dots! - gottabe talkin' solid chain here, (duh! with a starting price of 1.15, getting more stupified than ever now!) - with all these Wavx flags unfurling all over the place. Has to be a spike soon IMHO.
keV - Not sure our little WXpress unit could cope at the moment, if this was hit the world banners too quick, I don't doubt they're aware of the tech implications that maybe involved.
On the other hand 'Mastery Tv' seem to be moving in towards Africa.e/
http://www.africamasterweb.com/masterytvfrmes.html
Seems a pity to me! - that still - the initial TVT download at present is restricted purely to the USA only, unless of course you can manage to pump in a US postcode (like I had to) on the sign up page, unfortunately currently, the rest of world doesn't even get a chance to see what we're fizzing about. eom
bowWAVE - Lovely stuff LOL! - I'm sure theres a few more we could add in, have taken Zens advice tho', and sent some of this on to Simon Tidman. e/
