Re: "What matters is the market cap in relation to revenue/profits"
No kidding! I guess you should check out some large cap that already make a net profit. You can't have them both: an already profitable company, yet sitting at 0.02. CKEI doesn't not yet have a positive balance, that's why it's in the penny land, for Pete's sake. This is not a short-term in-and-out type of a stock. But, if you are looking for a good potential long-term investment, and you have any shares here (which I doubt), you are in the right place, IMO.
Mike
Look at it this way:
"For the three months ended March 31, 2006 revenue was $2,440,544 compared with $2,442,466 for the whole 2004.
The net loses for the 2005 4 Q's are:
($346) ($390) ($324) ($258)
Once the official 10-K, and the 2006 Q-1 10-Q come out, based on today's "tips," one can expect the bottom line (the net revenue) to further improve. Then, given the fact that the company is clearly positioned for growth, one can expect positive net revenue in the very near future. In fact, I expect when the 10-K will come out the company to also come up with some good forward looking predictions (expanding the business beyond heating oil, expanding the geographical area it covers, etc.)
Whomever it's not satisfied with the financial results of a company with a PPS of around 0.02, I suggest you to look at other good potential Energy stocks. For instance, go and check out: FTRS, with NO proven revenue, plenty of debth, yet trading at $2.7's. Just compare the two (or also look at the numbers, or lock of them for say XSNX) and then decide where you want to be.
Enough said,
Mike
Biofuels news:
1. "In order to make progress on strengthening U.S. agriculture, reducing U.S. dependence on oil, and extending the benefits of trade to producers at home and abroad, America must begin to reinvest its resources away from policies that encourage agricultural overproduction and low prices for farmers, and towards enlisting agriculture in the development of renewable energy to meet rising demand while forcefully addressing climate change."

FYI: http://www.energyandcapital.com/reports/nirvana.pdf
PS: If you folks like Energy stocks (which is a good idea), you may want to also look into alternative and renewable energy stocks that are by far the fastest growing not only within the energy stocks, but of any stocks. See, for instance, how the alternative energy index has moved this year(in fact, the index is made up of mostly renewable energy stocks):
http://www.prwebdirect.com/releases/2006/5/prweb386124.htm
Good stocks to look into (not pumped by anyone as yet): ICA & ESLR, IMO. Also, check out this tinny company: CKEI (see today's news) - a good bottom stock to have as a long-term, IMO. This heating oil company (that's also sells biofuels), its prone for fast expansion, IMO. It's sitting right now @ just about 0.02, after reporting over 5M revenue for 2005 (over 100% gross revenue, and over 400% gross profit increase over 2004).
Do your own DD.
Mike
Re: "Waiting on more news about biodiesel."
Cashwelth, we shall indeed expect not only some news about biodiesel, but also about: (i) the expansion of CKEI's business beyond heating oil, and (ii) targeting a larger geographical area.

Bones, Re: SYTE
If you bought it at the end of 04, you can't complain. It's up some 800% since then. Very nice and clean graph: you can distinctevely see the PPS growth steps, every Q or every other Q. The Price/Sales its @ 1.96, or where it should be. You have to wait for the new Q, IMO, and you might continue the nice growth patern.
In the mean time, if you have some extra cash, you may want to check out: GDVI, SDGL, and VFIN, that still have a P/S ratio below 1. VFIN just reported, and SDGL has to do it in less than two weeks, but the results are already known, and they are very good.
If you are a long only, that's fine. I have myself some long-term stocks, with GDVI being my preffered. But then you have to have more patience with good stocks such as SYTE. If you care for some more action, and have some extra cash (which you should always keep) you might want to check out stocks such as IGAI that can explode any day now, or go into some other GVPB's that have a good long-term potential, such as CKEI.
Good luck to you,
Mike

For those of you that have the ability to see things beyond "today:"
http://www.kticam.com/news/agricultural/index.cfm?id=17506
There's NO other good choice folks, but to start incorporating more and more renewable energy into our energy needs. Any small disturbance into the oil supply will raise the fossil oil to prices we've not seen thus far. This will finally convince other polititians, consumers, investors, and car makers (more efficient oil burners, in our case), and so on to use some kind of a Marshall plan to accelerate the development and implementation of renewable energy. When this happen (and it won't be long, IMO), just watch the way companies involved in renewables (including CKEI).
FYI, I just bought some more CKEI @ ESLR today, and I might buy some more ICO.

OK, this explains it: "For the approval of an amendment to the Company's Articles of Incorporation to increase the authorized shares of the Company's common stock from 300,000,000 to 1,500,000,000 shares (see page 4)." Missed it on Friday.

Not a nice welcome! Bought on Friday some @ 0.028, and would buy more if it goes further down, the way it looks like.
Except for the nasty Cornell play, and corresponding dilution, anyone knows why is this droping?

10-K Expected Date & Prediction.
This post is meant as a little learning tool for newbie’s. It’s just the way I see it, and not a recommendation for you to buy this. You have to do your own DD, and do it well.
The 3Dstock folks told you the 10-K will be out by the end of April. Wrong (intentionally or not); last year's 10-K (with a 2 weeks delay) only came out by mid July:
http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/filings.jsp?symbol=ckei
Because the company obviously has kept a better track of earnings this time around, hopefully the 10-K will come out by the end of June.
Prediction:
W/o any other news in the mean time, the 10-K (again, I believe it will be toward the end of June) should move this hard. Last year, the 10-K moved it from 0.011 to 0.23 (or a 20 MOMO, not bad!):
http://stockcharts.com/gallery/?CKEI
Regardless, with a record high revenue (and better margins) in 2005, loading more at these prices is a no brainier, IMO.
Make a note of today's price (I guess it ended up on Friday @ 0.0195?), and check the price again at the beginning of July.
If you decide not to be part of this nice expected play, you might wish to do a post-event DD and try to understand why this happened. Why? Because you might get a second chance, IMO. This is still a seasonal business (until the company gets involved in other than heating oil sales, that is). If, until the 10-K or shortly thereafter, no news about business expansion are released, after a nice rise, one can expect the price to go down again to a level that you might feel comfortable to pay for. Thereafter, once the cold season starts again, and the first (expected) better numbers come out, or the first news about the business extension into other related oil sales, this will go back up again; this time much higher, IMO.
Disclosure: I already have plenty of shares here, and if it stays around 0.02, and even more so if it continues to go lower, I'm planning to continue loading as much as I can. This is not a cheap pump (and people who read my postings know I don't like people that do it). Pump-and-dump schemes only can temporarily influence the price; the intrinsic stock value, and the perception of good growth potential it's what it's moving the price. And, IMO, this stock has both good intrinsic value, and good growth potential.
Mike
Re: 3Dstock.com - Opinion.
Forget the so much publicized 3Dstock.com predictions. Apparently they either have not done a good enough DD on this company, or they are simply yet some other low-life pump-and-dumpers. They told you at the beginning of last month (?) the 10-K will come out late April. Their misleading announcement might have contributed to the recent drop, as (sorry, I have to say it) some people rather relay on "news" from such places (such as 3Dstock), rather than their own DD, and probably got frustrated that the filling "didn't come out in time."
To the newbie’s: You folks have to be aware of all these pump-and-dumpers, which IMO includes the 3Dstock guys - whoever they are. IMO, they pumped it, and probably sold it at around 0.03, and then launched the 10-K misleading info in an attempt to drop the price. This is one of the well known, most perverse and effective way of bashing a stock to fit one’s agenda. One thing for sure: they (the 3Dstock guys), seem to know the long-term value here; the fact that they are back, it might be an indication that they are loaded again. If so, expect some more pumping from them.
Mike
John, here you are. If anything, the fact that Tactica, a wholly-owned operating subsidiary of IGIA, Inc., has was aproved to exit from bancrupcy, it's GOOD NEWS. Some people probably simply can't read, or if they do, they do not understand anything they read. For more details, see the whole 8-K SEC filling. See below for a summary of it.

Legit PV Companies:
http://www.wcpec.org/index.php?surf=yes&page=exhibitors_program
Ask the CEO, why he was not even present at the world's largest PV gathering, let alone paying for a small boot (with all those money he stole from you), or present even a poster paper, which he did not.
I see some of the old pumpers (that jumped on me for telling them this was nothing but a scam, when the price was close to $2.9/share) are still here. Let it go: your pumper in chief (Jeff whatever, who promissed you $25 by April) is long gone. He's pumping now another (Ethanol) crap. He lied to you, and made his dirty money. What a crook!
Lesson for some of you here: Next time learn to listen to reason, rather than to the Jeff's type idiotic empty promises, and if you are not qualified to judge the merit of this "XX" pseudo-company, at least ask anyone in the PV field what he/she thinks.
Whishing you all the best of luck, and may I advice you: wise up next time!
PS: I have no interest here, except that as a PV expert I'm mad as hell at these crooks that give a bad name to the many legit PV companies, and to the PV solar field in general, that it's one of the fastest growing segment of the fast growing renewable energy sector.

IGAI Alert:

If "Smokeeater" is right, this will be moving fast next week. The reason sounds obvious if one looks at the financials:
http://www.ddmachine.com/default.asp?s=igai.ob
For the first 3 Q's of 2005, the revenue was $20.66M, compared to $11.3M for the whole 2004.
Yet, the PPS it's a very bottom with a Price/Sales ratio of only 0.01 (compared to 1.5 to 2 average). In other words, this can go 15 to 20 times up.
Look at the chart, the fact that the insiders owe most of the shares, and draw your conclusion. The company has some dilution going on, but not a big one IMO.

"The company issued a forecast for 2006 revenue in the range of $39 million to $41 million, and said it expects to earn about $300,000 in the first quarter. The forecast for the first quarter of 2006 would mark the first time that Secured Digital has approached $10 million in revenue for a single quarter and would represent a 46 percent increase in revenue over the first quarter of 2005:"

Read the whole Q-1 forecast above, and do your own DD. Check out: the 3 years chart, no R/S, the number of shares the Chairman has, and the nice increase in revenue/net revenue. Do a good DD, but do it fast, as IMO this won't be for too long around 0.09.

As you'll see not many people are aware of this stock. Check out the i-Hub, where except me no one is posting. People will only discover this jewel after it starts moving up, which (i) given the past PPS and (ii) the fact that the company is in the best financial condition ever, it seem to me as a given after the 10-Q release due next week.

No wonder utilities, especially in Europe, and Asia, but not only (e.g., west coast utilities in the US) are spending unprecedently large amounts of money to develop all kind renewable energy solutions:

"Biodiesel is recognized by the DoE as the fastest growing alternative fuel in the U.S."
Why? Look at its benefits:

Slow, but sure the veggy-based oil is catching up. What a pitty most people don't know to distinguish the relevance of such news to the future well being of our still tinny company. I'm sure you and others like you that have some ability to see the CKEI's (and other companies involved) future, do the same I'm doing: still loading in the dips (including today). The others, oh well ...

As you folks see, it's all over the news. Face it, oil won't go down no more, while the veggie-based oil will remain the same, and even go down once volume production starts. That's not for nothing they are talking about a "biofuels revolution:"

Whomever still can't see it coming, oh well ... what can I say?

In connection with the latest financial estimates for the 1-st Q, and for the 2006, you got to love this:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=SDGL.OB&annual
With a view to the above (the best expected revenue, ever), you also got to love the three years chart (check it out using the chart in the previous post).
Opinion: This company is way undervalued, and poised for a nice growth, IMO.
