I wonder if they're combing through patents at the USPTO to grow the business?
They have had plenty of opportunities to stall up until now. I think they've run out of that option.
They only have two options at this point, settle or lose at trial.
Maybe they're negotiating. Maybe, instead, we see a request for a stay because they've reached a settlement.
The silence on the case is maddening.
Well, maybe next week we'll get a court date.
Filings are due 45 days after the close of the quarter, so October 15 is the deadline.
I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express once. I felt like they could have used a Hazmat team to come in and clean the place up. Hopefully, we'll all be staying at 5 star hotels on our vacations once this thing finally settles.
Thank you, Long UOIP. And thanks for your help with that other thing...
They say there are two strains. Hopefully, you got the milder strain.
I have no idea what their billing rate is, but one of our posters was quoted in an exhibit filed with the court.
Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Thanks, Long. I saw a message in my mailbox, but then it disappeared.
I'm anxious for the trial date. Of course, that doesn't necessarily seem to mean anything since this will be our 5th trial date now.
What I meant was the court will allow allow one jury trial on any given day. So if there were 3 or 4 other trials scheduled the same week as Chanbond v Cox, and 3 or 4 the week before and 3 or 4 the week after, those cases will now have to be staggered since they can't all happen at the same time.
The court will only allow one jury trial at a time during Phase 2 of reopening. So if there were two or three trials scheduled each week prior to the shutdown, we could be in for a longer wait.
There's a bit of incentive for the 13 to settle this thing before trial.
I would imagine they would consider what was scheduled before the shutdown. But how many were scheduled? Where there two or more trials scheduled in any given week?
Keep in mind, they can only have one jury trial a day and criminal cases take priority. I don't know how many cases there are now or were as of August 1st, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not scheduled until after the first of the year.
That comes out right around my WAG. I would be content with that. I would be happy with more, but I would be content with $2.5 billion.
We'll find out in 21 days.
Comcast is the only provider facing treble damages.
I certainly wouldn't offer a settlement to someone who isn't suing me.
I think "global settlement" in this case just means the 13 currently being sued.
I'd like to thank the bid whacker who let me add at .0011.
Carter signed the contract with Leanne. They both come from IPNav. They both hold shares. It's a non-issue.
It's infuriating. This should be at .003 by now.
There's a monthly penalty after the 5 years. It's inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.
The shares are still there, but the balance is $0, since E*Trade only supports publically traded companies. And the shares really aren't worth anything until we get a win; buyers make the market for publicly traded stocks basically.
Why wouldn't Cox appeal, though, if Comcast, Cisco and Arris were the one's who stole the tech.
Once we get a trial and judgment, the countdown for the appeal will start.
I think the criminal cases take priority so that people be held pending hearings/trial have an opportunity to get released.
I'm not sure it matters. I think the one trial per day mandate includes both.
No, they can't begin scheduling until the 15th, IF the courts are reopened to begin Phase 2 at that time and not continued again. Then they can only schedule 1 jury trial per day to avoid packing the jury room. And criminal cases where people are looking at prison time take priority. Because people have their constitutional rights not to wear a mask or wash their freakin' hands.
I've been doing well until the last couple of weeks, but things turned around for me today.
I'm thinking I shoulda sold at .05 or .06. I would have had much more cash for other plays and probably would've hit my gains target for UOIP by now on other tickers.
These fuggers with their cooties.
Well, at least it's only an additional 11 days instead of 30.
The last order was through September 5.
Had a large spike in cases in Delaware at the end of the week last week.

I think we may have to wait until the 8th since the 5th is a Saturday and the 7th is Labor Day.
