MACD-213, thanks! would it be ok to call you MAC?
Q-reus
jon5, are you the same person from therunwayscoop.com? also, what is Dphig; or did i miss something? thanks.

one other thing...
i also asked don braxton if there is a chance that a portion of the California Apparel News (CAN) feature will be posted on the LYJN website. he said that they will see what they can do; but since the story is copyright protected, any chance of it happening is slim. CAN does not release past articles (free) on their own site. all website stories are restricted to subscribers.

hi all. fwiw, i followed up on a post from therunwayscoop.com site that MACD-213 posted about. i spoke with Don Braxton today about the post that the person from the runwayscoop site made and have included my reply to that post. i also asked about the launch of the e-store and retail. he was reluctant to offer an ultimate launch date, expressing the importance of having all components in place (dotting I's and crossing T's) and reducing false hopes by investors and the marketplace. he did offer assurance that everything is progressing. the initial product launch, however, will focus on womens-wear and eventually expand to include mens-wear. i did not inquire about share structure, since that issue has not been and is not being addressed at this time, by the company. other than that, mr. braxton was very candid during our conversation and i hung up feeling reassured.

jon - about Lyric Culture jeans and accessories: I spoke with their Investment Relations Rep regarding the your comments from Oct. 10th. 1) He expressed the importance and how critical it is to offer clothing that will fit to the customers' satisfaction, to be able to compete successfully in any given market. So, for the price that one will be paying for Lyric's products, the fit must meet the buyers' approval. 2) About the longevity of the song lyrics: the lyrics will be applied by using a silkscreen process. It is recommended that one should never wash jeans in hot water, nor even warm. Also, if washed at all, they should be turned inside-out and avoid placing in a dryer. Consider caring for the garment(s) as a fine material. 3) The company is presently signing artists and the list is growing at a good pace. He did not elaborate whether the musical choices are "in" right now, or not; but consider the variety of choices of artists that are out there. Hopefully your favorite artist will be on the list.
this is still a very speculative play, but i'm in for the ride. cheers and glta.

hi MACD-213. i submitted the original question to maria palma last month, and she followed up with that link that you've offered. i did not pass it on here, though. i was hoping for a heavier response to her post, then i would have shown it here. i've sent other inquiries to other fashion sites and news fashion-writers, but no replies, yet. i suggest that any person holding lyjn consider doing the same; make some contacts to people in the industry to see if they might be aware of Lyric Culture. you never know, it might just reach the right person or group of people. whatever contribution we can make in getting the word out might actually help. glta.
Q-reus
hey NYBob,
funny seeing you here, too. how long have you been in Caledonia, or are you? what's your feeling for this one? i came aboard in Dec. 2003, when it was rising very appreciably. at the time the market was moving very positively, as a whole. my plan when i bought this one is to hold for a five year period, maybe fewer years if the market warrants it. the horizontal movement of the s/p is part of the waiting game. i anticipate this one to surpass a couple of $$. of course timing means everything, all imho. cheers.
Q-reus
Crow3, the points you make and your concerns are legitimate ones, indeed, and i respect your presence here. you have offered some food for thought that we all should take into consideration with our investment choices. LYJN is a pure unadulterated gamble, on my part, at this point in time. who knows? i might get b!$ch-slapped for messing around on this particular play ground. i'll shake it off and regroup. i must confess to being a Lyric Culture lemming; my choice. it's a given, many many failures precede the successes of investing and we do not know when those successes will actually show their faces. every now and then gut reactions justify some actions in many instance. this is one gut-wrenching, gnawing-at-ya feeling that i have about this company. time will tell. i plan to watch this seed (LYJN) sprout, become a sapling, and finally stand firmly planted with a massive canopy at its maturity in the fashion forest. cheers and glta.
Q-reus
p.s. i realize that my tree could fall to the ravages its environment!
hello all.
the present performance of lyjn is very discouraging, but as an investor, i'm in this one for the ride. should this investment prove to be a total blunder, i guess i'll be going down with the ship; one i've decided to ride with My eyes wide open. this fashion idea is unique and one helluva concept. it will practically have no direct competitors in the denim market (except the potential counterfeitors that are out there), with its exclusive contracts with the publishers they have on board, imho. in case lyjn go bust, the loss will not impact me in a major way. the nature of this company is very volatile. whatever pinksheets i am holding, i bought into them with perception of money that i have spent. once spent it's gone, but there's a chance that some those monies were spent wisely and and will offer a later return. i bought this one this past spring, hoping that lyjn will be a fully matured entity in 3 years or less; and Lyric Culture products will be at or near the top positions within its targeted markets. this isn't a pump, just my hopes for the choice i've made. glta.

Go for broke, i agree. i received a spam email message last night about LYJN.PK, which suggested a 5 to 7 day price increase to $0.75. i tried to copy the message, to paste to this post, but was unsuccessful. in any event, i hope it pans out to some degree. glta.
Q-reus
way to go, steve. i tried a similar tactic back in july on the velvet rope forum. http://www.velvetrope.com/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=0&Board=UBB17&page=0&PHPSESSID=
it's a music industry forum. only one visitor replied to my query (not so positively), but a couple hundred others have viewed my post. i was careful not to be perceived as a spammer. it at least expands LYJN's exposure to a small degree. LYJN investors who frequent the various blogs that are found online could also raise the question about lyric culture on those sites. we (investors) should all contribute to OUR cause. cheers!
Q-reus
the site is up now. it also includes a LYRIC CULTURE E-STORE hot link. right now e-store is only offering the "Let It Be" leather skirt @ $325 and "Born To Be Wild" t-shirt @ $87. well, at least it's a start. glta. cheers.

i ran across another site that paints a favorable outlook on LYJN. it seems to be a recent release in that it mentions the Rockstar: Supernova telecast, and highlights Brooke Burke wearing the Lyric Culture leather outfit. what I find most encouraging is that this site lists outstanding shares at 60 million, with a float of around 4.5 million +/-. cheers to all.

hello all. looks like it might be safe to come out for a while. the volative movements of this stock has made me leery of expressing any hopes or opinions. i've been surfing around to see how many articles and references regarding LYJN that i might find. i'm wondering how many interested parties might be viewing these sites? whatever the number of visits to these sites might be, the exposure of LYJN to new eyes is very encouraging to me, so i am listing those sites. they are only of the lyric culture name announcement. none are of the brooke burke coverage. here are the sites that i've visited:

i really like the fact that one of the sites links to the fashion world. maybe some of you have perused some different ones. it would be interesting to see how many sites are circulating LYJN news. cheers and glta!
Q-reus
hi Jck. could it be possible that lyjn chose the ny dolls as a starting point in testing the waters to see what type of response/reaction might result from the event? this could be a survey to establish a strategy to fine tune the presentation of lyjn products. jmho. cheers.

hello all. there's a new site on LYJN's home page. maybe most of you have already seen it. it's not fully functional yet. but here it is, fwiw - http://www.lyricjeans.com/investor_home.html gltya.

GlobeTel Communications Corp.
AMEX:GTE
Average Volume: 1,184,020
52-Week High / Low: 4.49 / 0.55
Shares Outstanding: 103,898,000
GlobeTel Communications Corp., a diversified Telecommunications and Financial Services Company, was up another 1.45% Monday, with approximately 855,200 shares having traded hands come the toll of the day’s closing bell.
Both Wall Street and Bay Street investors experienced a phenomenal positive correction Monday, with North American indexes exhibiting substantial gains across the board upon the end of the trading day. This was a refreshing change of pace for many after Thursday and Friday’s dismal sessions had brought the Nasdaq composite index to its lowest close since May 17, 2005.
Monday’s sudden increase in investor sentiment was fuelled by upbeat earnings from drug makers, as well as news of various acquisitions and increased earnings. This it seems, tempered anxieties about a slowing economy and the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East. As of late, the market seems to be becoming increasingly sensitive to daily news, an anomaly that many investors and day traders have been using to their advantage.
According to preliminary calculations, the Dow surged a whopping 182.67, or 1.68%, to 11,051.05.
Broader stock indicators were also higher, with the Standard & Poor's 500 index rising 20.62, or 1.66%, to 1,260.91, and the Nasdaq jumping 41.45, or 2.05%, to 2,061.84.
Thursday and Friday’s decline in the marketplace and then Monday’s positive correction followed months of trading characterized by sharp one-day up or down swings. These big index moves and wide advance-decline margins, many feel, can be predominantly attributed to investor’s nervousness surrounding interest rates, inflation and an economic slowdown. Athough the entrance into the second quarter earnings season is continuing to be a turbulent one, many investors are continuing to see success on increased earnings reports and breaking news.
Investors of GlobeTel Communications Corp. experienced this first hand Monday, as shareholders embraced positive returns come market closure.
In the most recent news to surface surrounding this Company, which we feel may have had an affect on the day’s success in the marketplace, as well as an ongoing affect on shareholder outcome, GlobeTel Communications Corp.'s wholly owned subsidiary, Sanswire Networks LLC, announced late last week that it had been granted a Statement of Capability (SOC) by the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) of the United States Air Force. This, in turn, permits Sanswire to flight test its Sanswire 2 high altitude airship technology demonstrator. Sanswire began to seek approval for the SOC in February of this year. NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center, also located at Edwards, will provide meteorological services to the Air Force Flight Test Center in support of Sanswire's flight test effort.
The flight tests will occur at Edwards Air Force Base in California's high desert. It is planned that flight tests may extend through the fourth quarter of 2006. The Sanswire airship is scheduled to fly several test sorties at Edwards Air Force Base Range after the successful completion of tethered flights.
"We are now about to start the flight test program for the Sanswire 2 Airship, our Technology Demonstrator. These test flights will begin after the replacement carbon composite structure is received from our suppliers as described in the July 17 press release," stated Bob Jones, Sanswire's President.
Timothy Huff, CEO of GlobeTel Communications, stated, "I view this as a significant step toward our goals and I applaud Bob and his team on obtaining the approval for the SOC."
Sanswire is developing a Wireless Broadband Network utilizing high-altitude airships called stratellites, which are similar to satellites but stationed in the stratosphere instead of in orbit.
Stratellites will be used to provide wireless voice, video, and data services. The Stratellite is being designed and tested to operate at an altitude of between 55,000 and 65,000 feet utilizing onboard Guidance and Navigation Control (GN&C) to achieve its on-station position.
In lieu of this recent news, in combination with this stock’s impressive market performance recently, Streetinvesting.com has become further interested in what the future might be holding in store for this diversified Telecommunications and Financial Services Company. Subsequently, our research team has chosen to continue our look at GlobeTel throughout the ensuing weeks and months. During this time, we will also be quick to pass on to you, our valued members, any further news or developments surrounding this Company, which we may come across in the future.
8:24 p.m.: no news of GTE on AMEX site; unless they updated before i sent this post.

stag0: good point! your comments prompted me to google richard branson and emi, an article did indeed reflect a direct relation: http://www.emimusic.co.uk/04/ should emi win, ultimtely, in this bidding tug, i do hope that they are impressed with LYJN's plan and do sign on anyway. imagine having access to the songs of universal, warner and emi (with virgin in the background); an event like that could make LYJN one of the top success stories for this year, imho. cheers.

hello all. i ran across an article whose subject matter focused on a buy-out, then reversed buy-out offer, between Warner Music and EMI of the UK. could this unreadiness have an impact on LYJN? consider this: if EMI is successful with its bid, will they follow through with Warner Music's proposed venture with LYJN? of course Warner Music countered with an offer to buy EMI. is anyone else aware of this event? comments please.

i've been looking at Vangold lately (VAN.V; VNGRF.PK) they hold interests in precious metals and energy and seem ready to start moving. any thoughts or opinions? tia
CHEERS Steve & LYJN! coldshot1, this investment is a gamble that many of us have decided to take, with OUR eyes wide open. of course it could come back to haunt us, then again, it could become a dream come true. many have made the decision to buy now and there are those who have chosen to wait. regardless of the outcome, the decision was ours to make. gl, anyway.
thanks IVXX. your explanation makes it clear for me, and others i hope. here's wishing you and all a safe and happy 4th.

i can't wait to see what happens on monday!!!
NYBob - great read! definitely food for thought. the mid to latter part of your post is SOOO true. here we are (USA), suposedly the wealthiest nation in the world. what a farce! how can one consider one's self wealthy when the debt load will carry over to future generations. what gold in the treasury??? i suspect that it has been squandered by the fed. reserve. that's why many foreign countries are shedding the excess weight they are carrying from the oversupply of U.S. dollars. what do you think they are using to purchase their precious metal and raw materials with? we (the world) seem to be getting closer and closer to the resumption of a precious metal standard that must back these currencies so we can get a handle on this runaway, free reign, uncontrolled, unregulated printing of the fiat curreency this nation is starting to suffocate from. ECU Silver is in an excellent position and those of us who invested early will be rewarded with great satisfaction. Also, let's not get taken by the name of our company because gold is also a major part of the ECU equation. cheers!

IVXX: i still did not get around to making the call. my daytime hours are not conducive to my investment matters. i will have some free time on monday. i'll have to try then, but i doubt if anyone will be available due to extending the week end through the 4th. i did not receive a disc yet, but stockwire did send a message, looking for a reply to find out if i did. as for my message to mr braxton, maybe you or someone else on the board might be aware of the matter i asked about. anyway, this following item is what i inquired about:
Greetings Mr. Braxton,
My name is ???? and I have invested in the company. I have been taken by what is proposed by the company and am confident that Lyric Jeans Inc. will be successful in this venture. I ran across a link that mentions jeans worn by a character of the TV show – Grey’s Anatomy.

question to the board: is there a secret or special approach to receive a reply to a question, via e-mail? i sent mr. braxton a message on sunday, but have yet to get an answer or any type of reply. not meaning to make an issue of it, i figured i'd allow a few days to pass to allow time for him or someone to get to my inquiry. nothing yet. thanks in advance and glta.

Hi Yale; an e-mail from Stockwire, a couple of months ago, brought LYJN to my attention. GLTY & all.

Greetings All,
... my first post here. I like the concept that Lyric has in development and believe that the present buying opportunity should be taken advantage of by every one who hears of the company, during its infancy. I'm in, thank goodness, and feel fortunate to have been able to buy at this level. Although it's early, I wonder if the company has a plan that will address counterfit merchandisers. I hope that they do and expect that the record companies will provide assistance in protecting their interests in this venture. Consider me long. Cheers!

Bobwins, that's indeed good news. i actually expected new guinea to break out before ecu. be that as it may, i am not disappointed whatsoever. i once attempted to establish a position with vangold (vngrf.pk/van.v), but i was stubborn, wasn't able to get it at the price i wanted, and moved on. vangold is still worth considering as an investment. i am actually surprised that it has not taken off, considering its energy and precious metal positions; they are trading at only 0.47 per share? go figure. cheers.
