CM the West Point job is NSA
funded and staffed. Dr. Aaron Ferguson is a visiting NSA fellow and his resume is pretty darn impressive.
I sure wish I knew what he knows......
OT: Conclusion: Peter Sprague
has (most probably) a genius level IQ.
His grandfather was a engineering genius akin to Thomas Edison and was a good entrepreneur.
Sheesh....
OT: Yup! Peter Sprague is the grandson of.....
Frank Julian Sprague who founded Sprague Electric Company.
Sprague Electric Company was bought by General Electric.
Geez.....this just gets better and better.
No wonder he could go to Le Rosey and Yale! Big bucks.
OT:Sprague's dad must have been well off.
Le Rosey is darn expensive. And then Yale.
I wonder what his dad did for a living.
Apple never falls far from the tree...and all that
wavxmaster...Yeah, I know. This guy is
amazing. His whole life personifies entrpreneurism. The Iranian gig is a mystery. I can't figure that one out. Probably made some serious bucks though.....when you think about it. Really mysterious.
Maybe that is how he financed the whole Fairchild/Natl Semi deal.
Yeah...that's it!!
Man....this guy is amazing!
Peter Sprague is an amazing individual.
graduated from Yale in 1961 and by 1965 was the Chairman of Natl Semi. Knew all the biggies back then....Sprock,Noyce and Gordon.
Educated in pvt school (Le Rosey)Switzerland as a teenager and smuggled himself into Hungary to witness (and photograph) the revolution in 1958. I would bet that Sprague and Andy Grove probably share alot in common....swap stories and so on.
How did he get involved in cold storage in Iran in the early 1960s with a guy called Mousavizadeh? Did these guys go to Yale together or something? Strange......
This guy even did a little James Bond action when he took charge of Aston Martin cars in 1975! He resuscitated the company and left in the early 1980s.
sheesh....maybe he was a "james bond" himself at one point! Who knows?
The more background study i do on this fella the more amazing the story gets.
Lord knows what kind of connections this dude has in the big scheme of things.
geez...
How about this for DOT CONNECTING!!!!
so John Petty (Chairman of TecSec) is on the Council on Foreign Relations under NBC/RCA.
OK....so i find out that John Petty is on the BOD of RCA. Good.
Well, doesn't Sarnoff have its roots with RCA?
and doesn't Wave Sys have some sorta connection with Sarnoff?
Oh come on....this is just getting too good for words!!!!!
So....John Petty is a who's who guy in Wash DC. I mean the guy worked for Chase Manhattan (aka Rockefeller) back in the 50s and 60s and early 70s and also works for the Treasury Dept. during the same timeframe. And then off he went to Lehman Bros. as a partner and then becomes Chairman of Marine Midland. Me thinks he got really well connected in the 60s and 70s within the Wash DC crowd and I don't know how all that works out....lots of cocktail parties and schmoozing...and Lord knows where all that leads!!!
OK... but this guy is all over the place. Has Bush connections and Lord knows how all that fits in....Was he involved with the Chilean deal back in the 70s? Well, who knows?
But this guy is CONNECTED!!!!
Hooks up with Ed Scheidt.....what does that tell ya?
I LOVE IT!!!!
Look folks....the dots are there.
Place your bets.
Of course, John Petty is no slouch.
With Chase Manhattan in the 70s (lots of interesting connections there!), then chairman/CEO of Marine Midland, then off to Lehman Bros. and a stint in the Treasury Dept.........
and on and on and on....it goes!
This guy has a Wash DC rolodex akin to Paul Volcker!!!
Ed Scheidt and John Petty make a pretty interesing team.
And these guys only team up with outfits with the "RIGHT STUFF".
sheeesh....
oh well, and so it goes..........
it really isn't that difficult if ya take the time!
Herein is a glimpse of Ed Scheidt......
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/national/daily/july99/kryptos19.htm
ahhh.....such an interesting collaboration.
and so it goes.
Steve...Ed Scheidt of TecSec is a Govt Big Hitter!
IMHO.....the collaboration of Wave Sys with TecSec (Ed Scheidt) is HUGE.
of course, John Petty knows his way around Wash D.C. too.
TecSec lives and breathes HOMELAND SECURITY....company is located in N. Virginia.
Geez....I sense alot of stuff going on.
My 'seventh sense' is pretty darn good!
and so it goes.....
snack...I agree with you 100%!
this is one smart dude.
Boy......where did this fella come from?
OK...having said the above, i still gotta say that Wave Sys is
positioned to benefit from the needs of HOMELAND SECURITY!
In a big ole way.
govt contracts will come our way....alot of publicity and alot of revenue potential.
geez...I like this Da Deven Dude!!!
he know his proverbial shi#t!!!
CM...ya know when I look back at MSFT
i can't help but think that Gates&Co. would be "Nada" had Lady Luck not intervened at a most timely point in time.
Gosh....I am the first one to say that ya gotta be in the proverbial sweet spot.....
but a little Lady Luck can't hurt either.
place your bets!!!
Da Deven Dude...you are one smart sunofagun!!!!!!
geez lou eeezzzzzzz........
where the heck did u come from??
Like i said earlier, I like ARMP's rev. forecast.
sheesh...you are one SHARP DUDE.
wow.
CM Once again you post another Good One!
thnx
keV if you read your post, then
you will see how inconsistent you are...IMHO
as to rev. forecast, i have said multiple times I agree with
AMRP's outlook. Go look it up.
Boy, you are clearly disappointed with Wave Sys.! How can you hold on to your investment?
Care to answer or do you want to avoid the question?
Just curious...
me chill? that's too funny. eom
finallythere...I cannot pvt email but
the reason is that I think Armp's forecast is realistic.
Given the public sector demand for Wave Sys techonology and the rampup of TPMs globally, i think the forecast is doable.
If so, then the investment should perform well.
IMHO....
keV..OK, fair enough.
You have said your piece, albeit time and time again.
Now....having said it...the question becomes,
"will you keep your Wave Sys investment?"
and if so.....
why?
thnx
twinkie...yes, I agree with CM but
if you reread my post I say that deals smaller than that could lead to very lucrative downstream revenues.
the West Point deal isn't really a contract/deal, frankly speaking. It is sort of a study or 'project' that could underwrite BIG DEALS with the DOD.
IMHO.....as always.
P.S. What is very very interesting about the West Point deal is that the techies involved with it are highly connected and influential with certain entities within the DOD....
IMHO
unix...you are fixated
with identifying potential Wave Sys competition or whatever. What is the agenda?
Oh, excuse me.........you are just a diligent nonpartisan observor who simply wants to know all about the digital security space.
sorry for thinking otherwise.
ha ha....too funny.
micro59 Actually, i don't think the Street....
even has an opinion of Wave System one way or the other. So far I don't see a rating on the company stock.
Hence, no opinion. Frankly, I think that some analysts may have a very favorable "private" opinion but that is just conjecture.
keV...it is what it is.
You can complain and whine all you want but it changes nothing. The fact remains that if are uncomfortable with your investment...then you get "outta dodge". Ya move on.......
No one forces you to make a capital commitment. That was your choice and no one elses. So, you live with it.
Tryin' to transfer the angst associated with your decision onto another 'playing field' is juvenile.
so...as the sayin' goes, "DEAL WITH IT" or get "outta dodge".
IMHO always.....
keV....you are whining.
Why don't ya fold your cards and get outta the game?
Ya can't take it anymore....IMHO.
Sell your stake and be done with it.
No one likes listening to a whiner.
your gig is up.
I think I am gonna double up.......
on my WAVX position.
After some serious thought, I agree totally with ARMP's revenue forecasts.
IMHO.....
and for what it's worth.
and so it goes.............................
To all the Whiners on this Board.
No one is forcing y'all to invest in Wave Systems. If you are uncomfortable with the situation, then get outta "dodge" and put your money somewhere else.
If ya keep your money in Wave Systems, then you take your chances...good or bad.
Stop whining.
Place your bets.
keV...meanwhile, you see this development>>>>>>
http://conference.digitalidworld.com/2005/2.php
look at the f'n players on this board!
You only wish you (personally) could play in this league.
Look....you are impatient. I understand this feeling.
but...cut us some slack.
If you bought low, back in the mid 90's, then you coulda sold when the stock hit $50. But did you?
place your bets. If you lose, then take it like a man. If you win, then good for you.
But, don't waste your 'whining' on the rest of us.
it is unbecoming.
sheesh
ARMP...that is just a fantastic post!!!!
I am very impressed with your assessment. As i stated earlier, I think your revenue forecast seems very prescient. I agree with you on your revenue outlook.
Also, I believe that the mega deals that you are discussing are most likely in the public sector, specifically the national security sector.
Although such deals or contracts may not be $200 million in scope, I think the downstream ramifications of such deals could be very very lucrative.
Anyway, I think you are very astute in your assessment of the current situation.
thanks.
Y'know...I am w/ The Berkshires.
I think something is gonna pop sooner rather than later.
just a hunch.
have a good weekend everyone.
OT: my sympathies to Wavxmaster & family.
CM good post. I think that Wave Sys has the
right stuff (aka business model) when it comes to the public sector, particularly the national security agencies. These agencies (DOD,CIA,NSC & all the others) critically need to secure their systems in a "fail safe" way. They need to accomplish like "yesterday"!
Wave Sys has the best way to do this in a COMPREHENSIVE, ROBUST and COST EFFECTIVE manner. The govt needs us as much as we need the govt business. It is now a matter of execution and this requires finesse as much as salesmanship, especially in the public sector.
But...once we get a couple of contracts and agencies see how "easy" it is and there is followup references and credibility etc etc etc....more contracts will then follow.
The 'big brother' issue is a non issue when it comes to the national security related govt business market. This is a no brainer.
I still believe that the govt sector will be our FIRST big breakthrough. I just don't know how it will come about. Will it come thru a gorilla....like Dell or EDS? Or will we nail it down by ourselves?
Once we get a big contract under our belt then I think we are off to the races.
And i think the West Point job (altho small) is a good signal. Maybe it will be a DOD contract. Who knows?
anyway, i think it will happen pretty soon. Then all the skeptics will shut their collective traps and we will have some peace and quiet on this board.
and so it goes.
hi matt. would like to know my status.
i now realize what the 'deletion process' is. To be totally upfront, it was understanding (obviously an erroneous one) that snack was the deletion conduit...but i guess not.
anyway, let me know. thnx
matt, Appreciate your reinstating me back.
I understand your objectives and I need to ask a quick question. Pls reply asap. thnx again.
Volume seems to be picking up again.
hmmmm.....
congrats eammon!
Will it be a Dell like PR or a Govt like PR?
place your bets.
Correct.
Now...when it comes to nat'l security markets the issue of big brother (remember the big Intel fiasco?)becomes almost a non issue.
The DOD,CIA,NSA and others don't care about the big brother issue because they are the big brother...so to speak. All they care about is securing their systems.
Wave Sys can take care of that little problem for them. And my bet is that ole Fritz will say "Go for it".
and so it goes.
Does everyone know why its called the fritz chip?
the answer gives one an idea why eventually Wave Sys will get a good chunk of public sector business.
nothing offensive in this post.
pls do not delete.
unix..whatever. They were founded on their
gameware stuff. And that is how the public views them.
when you talk alienware to anyone, then they immediately think of gameware stuff.
oh well, so it goes
awk and if you know why they call it
a fritz chip, then you will know why that is important information.
it all has to do with the public sector.
Wave Sys. will be a huge beneficiary of public sector (especially nat'l security related) business because it has alot of public sector backers and/or prominent govt individuals who are either impressed with (or know about) its
technology.
now...do a little dd (if you would please) and let me know what you think.
toodles.
unix Alienware calls itself the
best custom built PC for the Ultimate PC Gamer.
that is how alienware views itself. Check out their website.
do you understand this?
let me repeat
"FOR THE ULTIMATE PC GAMER"
let me repeat again:
"FOR THE ULTIMATE PC GAMER".
I am not wrong. YOU ARE!
do your dd completely....thank you in advance.
the stuff is good for gaming.
but the image is considered a bit grainy for the other uses.
not in the same league.
IMHO
