She agreed that it was much more than that. I asked her if PAIM submitted the 9.5 million figure to the SHO office.
Secretary is wrong. Short interest is collected by NASD from its broker-dealers not the companies. The SHO amount would be equal to or less than the total short interest. http://www.nasd.com/RulesRegulation/NoticestoMembers/2006NoticestoMembers/NASDW_016328
Sorry, this shows PAIM does NOT have a huge naked short like some pumpers and the company claimed.
oh, okay. /eom/
Are you trying to play IBZT? Bad move!
Feds are going after them on fraud charges. http://sec.gov/litigation/litreleases/lr19571.htm My guess is they probably stopped filing because it would have given the SEC more ammo for their case. Unless their delinquent reports are submitted, IMO that one won't publicly trade ever again. Better to play something where the odds are far more in your favor.
Looks like Mr Market wasn't impressed.

cool...lol /eom/
It's not easy to tell whether it's real or fantasy. A lot of ill people do play pennies hoping to dig themselves out of growing debt caused by medical bills. A number of stories, which may seem like fantasy, turn out to be quite real. I don't know if his is. When coinsguy (his previous alias) posted his story's details months ago, I thought he ought to get a job w/ the federal government. They have great healthcare benefits. His state government might have it too.
I care what label is used because you claimed there were ways to legally naked short and have done this yourself. When pressed for specifics, you've come up empty. Futures, options, etc aren't considered naked shorting and aren't seen in subpenny crap.
No need to continue w/ this discussion. I think the closest you've ever come to naked shorting was attaching the label on something you felt was close enough.
Naked shorts -- or short selling as it's more often called in Canada
Oh so, this is why gumpy keeps telling us there's no naked shorting in Canada anymore. They switched to using different terminology. lol
Re a: how about afr to afr, 15% delta to start? which one: bid-bid, ask-ask, bid-ask, ask-bid, or all four?
Re p: how about .25 floor, no ceil, 25% delta as start point?
MM's can legally naked short to make a market. You've yet to clearly explain how someone else can do so. Supposedly, the non-recourse stock loan was a method, but your explanation didn't support this. The generic scenario posted seems like a fancy borrow arrangement to me resulting in a regular short not a naked one.
You claim someone (outside of MMs) can legally naked short as a viable investment strategy. Talking in generalities shows you're spouting only theory. If you really have done this, please give some specifics. I would like to understand how it's done if there really is a hole allowing it.
I'm sure it varies from one shop to the next, but probably 90 to 95% of all the business being written as non-recourse involves stock pledged by executives in exchange for money.
Please give the reference source for the stats you cite.
You want people here to believe you actually have done this. So, give some specifics. How about posting some names of real institutions/persons, in Canada or the US, who are willing to lend money against say a sub-.50 crappy penny trading on the OTCBB or pinkies.
You're little scenario here is not tied directly w/ the non-recourse stock loan program which you said by itself creates legal naked shorts.
Frankly, Forrest, I doubt there is a naked short position in CMKM Diamonds. I looked into trying to establish one in early 2005, but found that there was simply no one with deep pockets willing to hold a stake in CMKM Diamonds.
Come on Jimmy, stop w/ the act. You're a troll who goes around the net beating up NSS diehards and operate a little blog: http://nakedshortlie.blogspot.com/ . Do they deserve it? Sure. There's no need to make up things. Early last year you were busy w/ other stocks like Jag Media not CMKX.
As for non-recourse stock loan, please explain how this supposedly creates LEGAL naked short positions. From what I've read, this is where someone puts up securities as collateral and borrows cash against them from a lender not bound by Regulations T & U. There's still a borrow and delivery requirement. If the investor is allowed to short against the collateral, that's not a naked short. If he's shorting w/o borrowing first, which reg are you using which says this is legal?
What you described here is typical pumper behavior not normal investing. Pumpers point out predominantly positives in a stock. You and Thinman are doing a good job of that here. We're just balancing the picture w/ the other side.
BTW, SB2 investors like you are part of the story here. The bashers are not. Request you AND Thinman read iHub's rules.
Okay, let's discuss it Thinman. Please explain how you think the company plans to pay for this.
Just for the record, which of the SB2 shareholders are you?
Yup, you're right. No misspelling there. LOL
They're supposed to report trades within 2 business days. It's pretty rare for the SEC to go after insiders who file late.
They may be using an autoresponder.
Don't hold your breath in them covering QBID either. They're goal here is to make money not rid the market of its ills or anger the SEC/NASD so that they watch him even closer.
Cuban's interest is in making money. In GVRP/MAMG's present state, he can't take short it. I doubt they'll waste energy reporting on any stocks where he (and other shorters) are unable to take a profitable position.
Cool. Maybe taxes on this will pay off the entire national debt next year.
Did you start the new forum as a joke?
Excellent! LOLOL /eom/
Your industry members are in for some steep PPS declines, imo.
You lost me here. If someone is shorting, he wants the PPS to decline right?
If the hot weather was a big issue, all Filipinos would move to the high mountains or leave the country. It doesn't matter if it's 60 or 90+ degrees at their mines, locals have adapted to the conditions there. This doesn't mean they work at the same pace as many Americans. They don't.
I didn't say what the temp is like at their mines because I don't know exactly where they're located. If the altitude is a few hundred meters or less, yes it'll be hot and very humid. As one goes higher, the temp gradually decreases. Pearl was trying to point out the rains not temperature. Focusing on the latter is like asking a New Orleans resident after Katrina hit about the temp outside and ignoring the damage.
Who is the trustee now? Supposedly, Stoecklein's firm held the stock certificate in trust, but he recently resigned from the Task Force. Does Urbie need to appoint another trustee or file the interpleader himself? If Frizzell is the new trustee and files the interpleader, wouldn't it be a conflict of interest for him to also represent shareholders in the case?
You're incorrect. In the mountains where people live, the average temp year-round is in the mid-60's. When vacationing there, we wore jackets. The cabins have working fireplaces because it gets chilly. Too bad you didn't see more of the country. At lower elevations, the average temp year-round is in the 80's and 90's.
Mud slides are probably more of a concern for the mine; flooding and/or mud slides for the local villages.
When she said "cold rains," she was referring to the rain being a problem not the temperature itself. Typhoon season runs from May to Oct/Nov over there. Jun is pretty wet. The heaviest monsoon rains will hit in Jul thru Sep.
The PI doesn't have a modern drainage system outside major cities. During rainy season, many outlying areas are prone to flooding and/or mud slides. Frankly, I can't see them doing much, if any, outside work from late May thru Sep.
As for air temperature, it's normally in the 80's or 90's (F) w/ 70% to 100% humidity year-round. Sometimes the temp drops to the mid-70's. In the mountains, the average is lower around mid-60's dipping to the 50's. It does feel relatively cold when rains cut the humidity/temp or one goes up in elevation.
Maybe we'll see another BCIT or GVRP here?
If there was a freeze, there wouldn't be any trading right?
Have you checked with your broker to see whether the DTC put a chill on PAIM's trading?
MMs don't seem interested in buying. lol
All the ID pictures posted in the management section are of real people
When did Pearl grow wings? http://www.pearlasianmining.com/images/Management/Pearl.jpg
Cool. Now, he needs to hire a bunch of bashers to do the investigating. ;)
True, but reverse splits currently fall under state law. Those two orgs have zero power to stop it. Probably the best they could do right now is modify listing requirements on exchanges to limit the number over a certain timeframe. This type of abuse is fairly rare on exchange-listed stocks
Do you remember the BBX? Nasdaq tried to replace the OTCBB with an exchange that imposed stricter listing standards. They were pretty mild. That idea was killed.
Waste of time. The SEC is powerless because there's no federal law limiting the number of r/s a company can do. I haven't seen any state laws either.
You might be better off writing to Congress and request they create a law.
Unfortunately, there aren't any federal laws limiting the number of r/s a company can do. I haven't seen any state ones either. That's the problem!
Reverse split time again ==> 1-1000 r/s effective tomorrow
