What is a MM primary responsibility: Making money or providing an orderly market. Is making money second to providing an orderly market. They work for the company issuing shares, correct. To manage there stock issues in the market. Or is there primary responsibility to the house they work for and making money like any other trader.

QUESTION: How and why do MM walk down a stock? What is the point? If there are those who are willing to buy the stock at a greater price why walk it down. I always hear that the MM held down a stock, it doesn't seem right to me. You would think they would want the price to go up so they can sell into it.

I have an Athlon 700, I'm trying to find out what the max processor I can put on that board. I think it is 900 but I'm not sure. I really don't even know if it is worth the effort. I'm still running 98se. THE Crash and burn OS. I want to add at least one more monitor. I thought I didn't need any more but when your watching a number of positions you just need the space.
