yeah, i wouldn't read into them too much, but i think over a period of time they are useful
if you look at CDIV and you see high % of shorts being opened, more buys (ask hits) than sells (bid dumps), yet the pps falls, you can assume a high amount of NSS
i get this conclusion from the fact that the demand is greater than the supply (more buys than sells, and shorts being opened to make sure orders fill). if D > S, than pps should go up, not down.
if the pps reacts as if S < D when everything else shows differently, than one has to wonder where the extra supply is coming from. that's where NSS comes into play, IMO.
not stupid...pretty decent question (haha, i am half alseep and thought you said "stupid question")
firstly, NSS does not get reported
second, the numbers are the total number of open shorts. this can be a bit misleading because 1 share may change hands more than one time in any given day, so if this 1 share was shorted more than once, it would get counted as a short more than once.
that is my best understanding, although it may not be 100% correct.
me too, waited too long for chump change
with all due respect...i have seen in countless stocks, the way you receive your answers from IR, CEOs, etc. is often the same way in which you ask the questions
if the tone or phrasing is aggressive in nature, they most likely won't bother trying to deal with you, since, as it is often the case, your mind (not YOU, but speaking in general terms) is already made up and focussed on being negative
i expect some kind of compensation for "likeness rights" since you used a pic of my teeth without my authorization
5 > 1
i want the full squeeze, not crumbs
lol, no worry
buys at 12:33, 36, 41, 42...
stopped a minute ago maybe
looks like some mirror trades there...shuffling?
this is a beautiful thing to watch...although i am sure it will get even more beautiful in time
not really worried about day to day to be honest...but what letter are you referring to?
CDIV + FLD = $$$
GREEN close for Green Oasis, although some said it wouldn't happen
can't wait to see more green here
thanx...talk about trends huh
you stated: "every pink has that kind of short volume daily"
and I showed you that was false
so if there are shares being shorted to fill the demand (and these are legally shorted, not NSS) one would have to assume that demand is greater than supply
thus
when demand > supply, pps should rise
since it is not rising, we are led to two conclusions (since we know, from the number, that the demand IS larger than the supply)
1. the pps is being manipulated
and/or
2. there is extra, unreported supply in the float (NSS)
so
whether it's 1, 2, or 1 and 2
we should be rewarded in the end, IMO
hmmm, so the total volume is steadily dropping, yet the short % is continually rising
looks locked and loaded to me
great info and just another way to show the same thing
looking at one day may not matter, but all those days added together does matter
[sarcasm] but wicks...short squeezes should never happen because MMs would never short a stock, especially naked short, in pinky land...right? [/sarcasm]
this should be one heck of a week when this thing starts for CDIV
"every pink has that kind of short volume daily"
Every one....really?
20100707|AMSZ|1117968|8368646|O ~ 13%
20100707|ARTS|10030000|80220300|O ~ 12.5%
20100707|ZVTK|2025000|19480383|O ~10.5%
20100707|CDIV|72270|114606|O ~63%
sure many stocks get shorted to high heaven in pink land, but about 1 minute of research shows that not EVERY stock gets shorted to kingdom come, like you claim
also, while day-to-day may mean nothing, when focussed on one day, months and months of high level shorting most certainly does mean something
yes, it is a very sneaky, yet intelligent ploy...and yep, hold is the name of the game...well hold, until it's time not to hold
I agree...and while some may fall for it, many understand, HOLD means HOLD...it does't mean play share swap
most of the big holders have holdings on more than one monk play anyway, so they have no reason to swap
haha, that's ricky hatton taking a left hook from floyd mayweather jr.
wish i had averaged down before this spike...
lol
it's cool though, i am confident i will be paid in time
i don't dabble much in these, but this one does look interesting
i'll take another half mil plz
i like that number
ty....good to see, we are headed back and beyond
what's HOY here anywhere....low .50s? going to awful close
it looks like they filled some....
its dropping on days where buys are outnumbering sells...and buys are being filled at bid (showing up then as a sell)
the fact that demand is higher than supply (more buying than selling) yet, pps is acting like supply is greater than demand is pretty clear that there is a rather large amount of NSS going on
it sux to have to weather the storm, but it's the price to pay for the rainbow after
edit:
oh, and yeah, the bashers are getting annoying, and how their OT and attack posts (about other individuals or groups of individuals) are tolerated (for the most part) is annoying too, but hey, eyes on the prize
hhmmmm, so 11 million in volume, which most of has been at the ask (buys...demand...more demand than supply, etc.) and the price is dropping...kinda like there is supply side pressure
where is all that supply side pressure coming from? naked shorting perhaps?
yeah, if that quote doesn't show the true intentions of certain chartists than i don't know what will
and you are right, until you buy or sell your position, you have neither made or lost money
the market fluctuates daily, as does people's portfolios...but until you make that sell...is just zero and ones
bid = what someone wants to buy for
ask = what the sellers want to sell for
if there "were sellers at the bid" that would be the ask
"Save yourself the pain cuz it will fall whether anyone buys or not."
yep...when buys consistently outnumber sells, and there is no dilution, and the pps falls....that is textbook MM manipulation
really? 70k buys vs. 46k sells, even with people having orders at ask being filled at bid (which would show as a sell).
looking to get back in...wish i had dry powder at the LOD
