BRIEF: Israel Chemicals receives largest loan from overseas: The company obtained $725 million in credit from a syndicate of 17 banks. [Globes, Tel Aviv, Israel]
Knight Ridder/Tribune "Business News "
Aug. 7--Israel Chemicals Ltd. (TASE: CHIM), controlled by Ofer Brothers through Israel Corp. (TASE: ILCO), has obtained $725 million in credit from a syndicate of 17 European, US, and Israeli banks.
This is the largest loan ever given by a foreign banking syndicate to an Israeli company.
The credit is for five years and bears LIBOR + 0.45 percent interest. Israel Chemicals will use the new credit to repay an existing $250 million five-year loan, which bears LIBOR + 0.6 percent interest, which the company took out in 2005. The company will also use the loan to finance its $352 million acquisition of Supresta LLC, which is due to be closed shortly. Finally, the loan will provide financing for future business opportunities.
The new loan, its low interest, and the large number of participating banks reflect Israel Chemicals' strong standing in international financial markets.

A link to the Berlin stockexchange is :
http://www.berlinerboerse.de/index.html?LANG=en
What you need to know is that the requirements to enter these stockmarkets (you have others as well) are unclear.
Just as in the US, you have the normal blue chips and companies that have been on the exchange for years.
Then you have 'real' companies that IPO via one or more banks via IPO's. Depending on the size, money involved, they will be categorised.
What you do however has as well are these obscure companies that suddenly appear. Especially the Berlin Stockexchange is famous for the fact that they host sometimes companies that as well trade on OTCB (it's like mirrortrading). There have as well been cases where it seems that these exchanges were used to set up fraudulent systems. Fnd more info via :

http://www.americanmicrocaps.com/featuredcolumn2.htm
Not saying this is the case for our company as we'll be (this is how I see it) a 'new' company + it's not a hedgefund or an MM that wants to IPO on the European market.
My take on this :
Kron asks a new cusip. Reason : somebody naked short the sjeiss out of his company.
By doing so, he might trigger a short squeeze, but there have been cases where this did not happen as the shorts kept on playing their games.
Now they issues shares to a new company. Bet you only the shares registered will get them, thus stimulating the shorts to cover.
Good thing would be to see that they IPO to a 'serious' stockexchange (Frankfurt's stockexchange has over 90 % marketshare and is 'solid' and 'respected' - If this would be the case, I'm certain this will be a rollercoaster).
I'm wondering what Kron and company still have as a surprise. This is getting better every day LOL.
Added : forgot to mention that in Europe we don't have Market Makers to 'organize' (LOL) an orderly market. This means that manipulating PPS is more difficult and can only be triggered either by 'big financers' or (if the company has a dual listing in the US and EU) by the shareprice on another market.
sorry to disappoint you - yes they can - AG = Germany and if this one is going to the berlin stockexchange ...
still think it will fly
