That is what I said or wasn't I clear?
One last comment about the CSC PR. After doing a lot of DD on them, it is obvious that military, government, airport, and border crossing are their main clients. This is a big plus if Bruce gets them to embed VLDI software in their applications. It would be a great testament for the claims of VLDI security software capabilities. The one item that is missing from this Channel partner is the fact that their end points will lack the ability for Advertising revenue because the end points are not public applications for the most part. JMO
I am starting to wonder whether today's PR is just a rehash of the Dec. 4th PR, but finally giving us a name for the first time. I definitely see a similarity:
joined forces with a new Channel Partner to develop the world's first secure Mobile Messaging App that will provide instant messaging and file transfer of digital information in any form, format and size on a Peer-To-Peer (P2P) basis, primarily for enterprise and government markets
We are pleased to be working with an established channel partner that already has millions of end users.
I find it interesting that Bruce finally posted a channel partner's name. If he stays true to his previous statement that they would only release channel partner names when they go into revenue service, because then and only then does the NDA get lifted, I sure hope that means they will be revenue producing service with this channel partner in a very short order and that this time VLDI will meet their goal of revenue in the first qtr. of 2015. Things are finally starting to look up.
I guess my source was correct.
SCS sounds impressive, but since it appears to be a private company I can not find out too much about them. The company was founded in 2012, so the big question is how big are they and how many end points will they be able to generate. They do sound impressive from their awards, but I would like to see the numbers on what they have accomplished in their two years of being in business.
The SCS headquarters is located in Ottawa, Ontario and is gaining momentum within North American, Asian and Middle Eastern markets. Invest Ottawa recognized Secure City Solutions in 2012 with its Rising Start Award. In 2013,the Ottawa Business Journal named SCS “A Start-up to Watch.” We continue to innovate technology solutions and grow within local and global markets thanks to support from programs like the National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program
I am hearing some rumors of positive news coming out next week, fwiw.
A test would be trades below .03. As long as it closes at or above .03 the support holds. If it closes below .03 the support is broken.
I sure looks like VLDI might test the support here at .03.
According to Bruce they are under NDA's with the Channel partners and potential users until they go into revenue service, then and only then are they allowed to disclose their names, fwiw.
I will bet that it slips once again from the First qtr. 2015 (from the financials) to further down in the year.
Never spoke to him directly, but I have communicated several times via email and I have a friend that has spoken to him many times and continues to do so. He must be a very articulate salesman since he has my friend convinced that he will make millions on his investment and that VLDI does not need any users for this to happen.
I simply have a hard time believing this since logic tells me if after showing this software to Samsung and Verizon and no one ran out and bought the stock and after 2-3 investor conferences without a mad rush by investors to get in there must be something they see missing. In my opinion which I already stated what is missing is that there are no end point users producing revenue. Once Bruce gets to that point I will be happy to talk with him directly.
Yes, that is possibly a good point, but then you need to ask the question if the software is that good why are they not paying for it yet, and why would it matter if someone knew they are using VLDI security software. If you believe the PR hype it should matter! BTW it was Bruce who said they will be able to reveal their channel partners' names once they go into revenue service!
Bingo! The problem I have with a buyout offer at this point is who in their right mind will made a buyout offer for something that has not been proven in the market place with customers and customer satisfaction, which turns into future growth?
Yes they need customers, clients, users, and end-points that all come away with a review that this is the best piece of security software since slice bread after using it. What I find mind boggling is how a company can spend 10-15 years developing a security application and continually improving on it without ever rolling anything out into the market place to a single user.
Not sure what you are exactly looking at but we are early in the month and if you look at weekly or monthly volume, which eliminates the noise in daily transactions, just for example the trading activity was significant higher and more consistent in November and December 2012. So far I see nothing out of the norm currently, but like I said it is too early to tell. JMO
I did not say debt was an issue only that it would significantly inflate shares outstanding and also probably the float. Also this has a significant impact on the potential per share calculations.
Currently the debt to common conversion would increase share count by about 80% or 230 M shares taking the total outstanding share count to about 515 M fwiw.
You have to read a little more carefully, I said I use technical analysis to determine when to buy and sell a stock (Trade) and I use Fundamental analysis to determine which stocks I trade or invest in. The fundamental analysis on VLDI that interested me is that they have a large and long term investment in this software application. They are in default on a major portion of their long-term debt now for sometime, but the debt holders are not foreclosing on them. The shares are being tightly held and the float is fairly low. The negative is that once this does take off the shares count and float could easily double to handle all the delinquent payments that are due.
You also missed my point on WhatsApp. It took a long time to build the end points to a critical mass, it did not take more that a year to develop their application. My point is that VLDI has a long road before they get to 100-500M ends, if you use WhatsApp history as a guideline. In other words you need a revenue base and one that is growing by leaps and bounds and that does not happen over night, so there will be penalty of time to get into the stock. Just for your information WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook for about $19 Billion, but they had 500 M endpoints and growing by 20 M new per month.
The problem with most investors are they always try to predict the top to get out or the bottom to get into a stock. I am a bit of a fisherman and I view my investments like a Fish. With a fish you cut away the tail and you cut away the head. What is left is the middle and there is always penalty to eat in the middle. So I will not be in at the bottom and I will be out before the top, but I sure will make penalty trading in the middle.
Not according to Bruce. He told me several times at this point in time he can not mention the channel partner's or client's names or relationships because he is under a NDA. He also told me that once they go into revenue service the NDA gets lifted, fyi. The second thing is he can not hide revenue service since has to be reported on the financials when it occurs and he has absolutely no reason to hide it, so you are way off base if you believe we will only see revenue when Bruce thinks it is advantageous to do so. This is from a email to me on August 12, 2014:
Hi XXXXX,
Validian will be releasing the names of each of their channel partners and customers once the install of each product has been completed and they have used and tested it sufficiently to become a reference customer, which also will be reflected on Validian's website. Until then, this is the cyber security sector so all of Validian's transactions are done under NDA's and confidentiality agreements until this stage has been achieved.
Thanks for all your opinions and I do agree that this is one to trade. I have actually bought a few times around .04 only to quickly sell at .09-.10. I use Fundamental analysis to find stocks that have big potential and I use technical analysis to determine when to buy and sell. The main problem I have here in buying is that there are no indications from all the past and present presentations to investors and also to potential users like Verzion and Samsung that anyone believes that they have the answer to their problems. If you look at the social media sights that finally made it like WhatsApp, it took considerable amount of time to get to critical mass. For example WhatsApp took over five years to reach 450-500 M end points. When it was acquired they were growing at a rate of 20 M per month. There was plenty of time to buy the stock all the way up to the date they announced the Facebook offer.
VLDI just keeps falling short in getting just one revenue end point. When they announced their PC App was ready for revenue distribution in September of this year followed by the Mobile APP in the Fourth Qtr. I really got excited. and I forwarded my kudos to Bruce. After that I repeatedly asked him for confirmation that revenue would begin this year and was surprised that he did not respond to my numerous inquiries. Now it obvious why. I hate to say it, but it does not surprise me, because potential clients are not going to take a risk of getting a new security software solution up and running on their system during the business time of year for many. I will be really looking forward to seeing the first revenue producing clientele materialize.
I will wait until they have their first client on board and producing revenue. I just find is hard to believe this software is all that it it is said to be and no one is biting yet. So in my opinion the wait has less risk then jumping in now for investment purposes, but I might jump in when I see a bottoming in the charts which is not quite there yet for some quick trading again. JMO
I have been following this stock now for over three years and I must say until someone starts using their software and announces to the world that it is the best thing since slice bread, the stock price is simply going nowhere! You will have year-end tax loss selling between now and year-end and with the slip in the commencement of revenue from 4th qtr to first qtr you are probably better off waiting until these guys can deliver a product the the market will rave about.
