it's kind of looking like that, slow bleed.
You know, I don't have any problem with doing a partner with a large Bio company. I remember like 20 years ago when companies like Seattle Genetics were small and you looked at their pipeline and they had MANY trials and ALL were partnered.
And it makes sense because 30% of a bunch of somethings is better than 100% of nothing ... and it helps PROVE your technology is good and worth pursuing.
WE just need to get to the point where MRKR tech is proven enough for others to want to jump in.
I mean jeez, how many freakin years have we been typing each other on this site.
I guess I'm just tired of being down 80%.
Thank You, I hope you are correct. I thought there was a Pancreatic trial ongoing, guess I was wrong.
It feels like "death by 1000 cuts" ... just a very slow and steady bleed out.
"The trial is expected to enroll approximately 120 patients in the adjuvant setting and 40 patients with active disease at approximately 20 clinical sites."
They say they will have the first 20 enrolled by the end of 2021.
when is full enrollment 2022, 2023, 2030? and what the hell is taking so long?
The excuse in 2020 was covid shut down research and trials and blah blah.
Are Doctors NOT recommending Marker trials for AML and Pancreatic and if so, why?
You would think patients would be flocking to a therapy that supposedly works so well.
but I already tried that a half a dozen times over the last couple of years ... BTW ... it didn't work out well.
The only primary reasons that I can think of would be #1, still clinging to belief and hope, and #2, the crazy cheap price (if the belief and hope proves to be correct).
I have to say, the line about:
"GRAMPA SIMPSON TO TELL US ABOUT THE ONIONS they wore on their belts because that was the style back then.", got me a good laugh. I remember when I saw it many years ago.
As far as MRKR, only got two choices, sell at a big loss, or hold on and hope.
P.S. Phantom. When all 3 investor conferences are over, can you add your opinions to the info here in plain english. Thank You.
OH NO. Just learned that MRKR will be giving THREE investor conferences.
Being that EVERY time they give news the stock price goes down .... are we in for 3 more price hits.
I HOPE NOT ... IT IS GETTING OLD ... well, in reality, it was old a year ago.
GOOD LUCK owners, we all just have to hang in there.
So, if I get this, MRKR does not own the building, but I'm not sure the equipment would have no value.
When a company loses their lease or moves to a new building, don't they normally take their equipment with them?
Are we saying that the building owner (not MRKR) also owns all of the equipment?
"I'll address IP on another thread at another time".
Any chance of doing that now so that investors can look at as much info and as many viewpoints as possible ... since everybody is not as astute in all of the intricacies of business.
Thank You for answering those questions that were posed.
Honestly, the real lesson learned is that I have the ability to talk myself way too deep into bad investments.
I am trying not to see similarities between the two companies (because I don't want to).
As far as the "manufacturing prospects", I would love from MRKR to be able to manufacture for themselves and their own products.
Manufacturing for others is a good fallback position when all else of your own fails, but that is not the outcome I want here.
Manufacturing for others may get you a one billion market cap over time, but it's not getting you to 50 billion.
I have had this uneasy fear in the back of my mind concerning MRKR and another particular stock I owned in the past.
As long as you mentioned PPHM .... That's the one.
I remember the PPHM articles, "the biotech that lays the golden eggs" ... the future, greatest thing since sliced bread, etc.
I was a large PPHM owner and I always said that out of all the bios that I owned, PPHM would be the one NOT to screw me.
Yep, I was wrong.
I had that same exact belief in MRKR back pre-merge.
Gee, as I have a good deal in to MRKR now, I hope I am not wrong twice.
I really don't expect anything earth shattering until at least the first quarter of 2022. By then we should have trial data on both AML and Pancreatic. (I HOPE)
The trial data for both AML and Pancreatic seems to be good (or better) as far ad I know.
I think the botched report where parts of it (not the good parts)that were leaked early, did not help at all, but I also think that there is more going on other than that.
There is simply no interest in MRKR (other than us owners), no one cares or is looking at it.
With no interest, there is no steady volume, price ain't going to do nothing. When the short term holders sell on any upswing, then down goes the price again.
It is what it is. I'm holding.
Yep, and downhill from there.
We keep saying "we need more news" or "they don't report enough" or "they should do more press releases".
EVERY time that they do, the price goes down.
This is just nuts.
Phantom, I have a question. Under the heading of: "the company is looking into where to next advance the pipeline."
Do you know (or can you educated guess), will they be using the same 5 cocktail mix that they use for AML for other cancers?
Or will it be more like, they would have to start at the beginning and test various cocktail combinations for each new cancer?
I am not sure about this, but I think?? they are using the same mix for both AML and Pancreatic? Is that correct?
Thanks
Thanks, I hope all are correct.
Howdy, I pretty much agree. I still believe in the science and will hold. At my highest, I had a bit over 19,000 but sold some last year down to 16,000 which is where I will hold.
The reasons it tanked yesterday I think was #1, Nasdaq was down, but #2, many MRKR holders are in a much better position than me and many other holders in that they did not buy in at $6 and $7, some bought in more recently at $2.50 and $3.00, so I think it was just profit taking off of the 2 week run up.
Thank You and Good Luck to ALL - both MRKR holders AND Patients who may benefit.
Hi Tom, you know what makes the suffering worse ... 16,000 shares of it.
Good Luck to ALL of us investors. As we led up to the merge, I just bought more and more. I STILL totally believe in the AML and Pancreatic trials, they are just taking a long time for data.
$3.35 , I'm halfway to being even.
The frequency of cricket chirping varies according to temperature. To get a rough estimate of the temperature in degrees fahrenheit, count the number of chirps in 15 seconds and then add 37. The number you get will be an approximation of the outside temperature.
I think part of the "high volume" but "not huge price movement" is also somewhat day traders. They buy and sell for pennies profit, just over and over and over and over. Normally if someone buys a share, that share is at least held for the day. With these day traders, the same share gets sold 10 or 20 times in the same day.
Hello all, I'm going to chime in here on the issue of us ... getting an appoval AND a buyout in a few months.
Although I would love to get an approval (of anything) and jump to $10 and THEN get a buyout that jumps us to $20 ... I doubt it for this reason.
If they did that, THEN the recent money raise at $1.75 WOULD LOOK VERY BAD.
I am NOT saying anyone in this company is corrupt, but even corrupt people aren't stupid. They would HAVE to know that that would be questioned and/or investigated.
The only thing I see happening soon is that (SUPPOSED TO) in the first half of 2021 we are supposed to wrap up phase I trial for Pancreatic cancer and then move to Phase II.
This stuff for the last couple of days is day trader stuff and will not last. When it ends and they leave, I hope we are closer to $2.50 then to $1.50.
Let's just get VERY POSITIVE Pancreatic data (soon).
"We will hear of early approval within 90 days!!" I hope you are correct.
Already owned a decent amount, bought even more today, this market cap is just crazy cheap.
GREAT QUESTION: "Were the buys by Peter and others done to try and reverse the damage caused by the dilution or was this a plan to grab some cheaper shares."
We will never know, but the suspicion will linger.
FINALLY

OK THANK YOU, that makes me feel better. I always thought the IP was owned by Marker/Baylor, so I was wondering why I am reading this talk about who owns the IP.
I get the part about being sued and also others stealing it so we have to sue.
As I was typing my first question to you, I'm thinking that the IP should have been addressed in some SEC document when they went to merge.
Thanks again.
Phantom, Thank You for your answer, and I don't mean to be a pain, but, you said concerning IP:
"I have no evidence to prove that is secure but have no evidence to prove it is not."
I know that it is Not up to you to answer that question, as you are not company management, but seriously, NO ONE, No Mutual Fund, No Major investor has asked that in all these many conferences that we had had since the merger???
I do not get how that can Not be known.
I STILL don't want to sell, but I am getting less and less confident every day.
GEEZ!!!
Hello, 2 questions: Is the Pancreatic phase 1 still due to complete in first half of 2021?
Can someone explain what are THE FACTS concerning all this "who owns the IP" talk?
Thank You
Question, How do you lose the price of a new car in one hour?
Oh right, own MRKR shares.
Marker Therapeutics Prices 28.572M Shares At $1.75/Share
With coming down as fast as we did over a short period of time, I would have thought that the shorts went way up. Buy NO, This price just doesn't make sense to me ..... it also doesn't make any cents to me.
Does anyone know if the short interest has gone way up since we been dropping? Thank You
