Arch. . .CMGI is destined to run. It's only a matter of time. DVNT is also preparing for its next run. HRCT's CEO announced via shareholder newsletter that the spinoffs of Sinobull.com and ET are going as planned. Hopefully we'll see a bottom on that one, soon. ERHC. . .I'm going to watch that one today just to see how good these recent "pumpers" can do towards making it move. Gotta check the pre-market. Back in a few!

LOL! John If all goes as expected. . .the volume should begin picking up on LFZA early next month. . .or towards the middle of the month. That is, unless I have another stock that takes off towards the stars and can do a little transitioning before then. I'm trying to explain to my mother that the bashers on RB are there for a "paid" purpose. She's the type that thinks everyone that posts a message is telling the truth. She'll learn LOL.

Those watching HRCT:
Letter to Shareholders by new CEO, Dr. Ching
Dear Shareholders,
I have spent my first week as the CEO of Hartcourt and it was as challenging and rewarding as I had hoped. Following my initial review of our operations I have developed a brief summary of our strategy and goals for the upcoming year that I would like to share with all of you. This is not intended to serve as a definitive company mission statement or organizational analysis but it will provide a basic outline for reference as we roll out our near term business initiatives. As we lay out our long range business plan you will receive a more detailed description of our operational strategies and upcoming events.
Achievements
As Dr. Phan described in his farewell letter, he and his management team, "started out with nothing in March 1999 to build an Internet conglomerate in Greater China. Today, we own the majority shares of 12 operating companies and investments in 3 portfolio companies. These companies have solid assets, revenue and good market positioning in the fastest growing market in the world. They have 22 major strategic partners who are the well-known leaders of their industry in global markets."
Despite the deflation of the tech bubble, and the subsequent economic downturn, Hartcourt has weathered the storm well and is on schedule to spin off its ElephantTalk and Sinobull subsidiaries. Under Dr. Phan's leadership Hartcourt has established an influential and respected reputation in the region for successfully providing access to the U.S. capital markets for high quality, high-growth technology companies in China and the region.
Opportunity
Our focus will still be primarily to capture opportunities in China. Despite the dismal economic conditions in the rest of Asia, China's economy is still posed for very strong growth, in excess of 5% per annum. It is anticipated that more deregulation and liberalization will take place across various sectors (e.g. telecommunication, media and retail), thus opening up investment and acquisition opportunities for well-positioned foreign companies such as Hartcourt.
Profitability
My first priority on the job will be to return Hartcourt to profitability. As a result of the global economic downturn, the capital markets today have returned to more traditional company valuation methodologies. These are primarily based on earnings and cash flows. To achieve this goal; (1) each subsidiary of Hartcourt will strive to reach profitability in 2002 by actively implementing appropriate operational strategies and exploiting the benefits of synergies resulting from mergers, (Sinobull and AI-Asia, for instance). This commerce framework, structured to create interrelated business opportunities throughout our organization, is already producing increases in revenue streams and reductions in GSA margins. And, (2) develop and expand existing and new high margin business opportunities, including E-learning and Hartcourt Capital.
Growth
In addition, a sustainable high growth rate is an important variable in the valuation equation, as only high growth companies deserve high valuation multiples. Apart from the organic growth that each subsidiary will strive to attain, we plan to identify small high-quality, profitable, technology companies for acquisition in order to provide impetus and momentum for growth.
Key business areas
Hartcourt will continue to explore business and investment opportunities in high growth industry sectors. Right now our main focus is in financial data provisioning and application development (Sinobull), broadband infrastructure (Elephant Talk), software development (AI-Asia), e-education and media. We will, however, continue to monitor and evaluate the growth prospects of these sectors and made decisions to divest and switch from slow-growth to high-growth sectors from time to time.
Hartcourt Capital
In light of the deal sourcing and referral network that Dr. Phan, myself and other senior management team members have established over the years we have decided to set up a new subsidiary, Hartcourt Capital, to capitalize on this network of deal originations. Hartcourt Capital will focus on providing fee-based investment banking type services to small to medium size technology companies in the Greater China region. In particular, we will aim to service those companies that are suitable for a direct or backdoor listing on the US Nasdaq, Amex, or OTC markets. Hartcourt itself may or may not be involved in the transaction as a principal depending on the nature of the transaction and degree of compatibility with Hartcourt's overall strategic direction.
We will also contact a selected number of qualified and institutional investors to explore the likelihood of setting up a Hartcourt China Venture Fund to invest in late-stage technology companies that are ready for an initial public offering within two years' time.
Subject to U.S. Securities regulation, I will be happy to update you all from time to time on the progress of various initiatives, business development, and acquisition activities. As I assume the leadership of the new management team I hope you will continue to provide the dedicated support that was so appreciated by Dr. Phan.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Wallace Ching, CFA.

Yeah, DVNT is a good "trading" stock. I've watched that one POP so many times. . .it's incredible. I actually watched that one go from a buck to over 20 dollars (during the bubble). It will run again. However, I doubt we'll see 20 bucks LOL.

Thanks for that bit of information. That's a LOT of dilution. Looks like a washout, to me.
I'll be watching some of the POW corner's long "watch" candidates over the next week. HRCT is meeting up with a "do or die" scenerio. I have a feeling there will be some rocky waters. . .if things don't get done. We'll see.
Again. . .thanks for the info.

TFN. . .I think the majority of the people on this thread have reached a similar conclusion as you are mentioning. However, the downfall comes when there was already publicly announced spinoffs of both ET and Sinobull.com. Now, those who are out to pound on HRCT for not delivering. . .will have an "endless arsenal" of negative rhetoric to use against HRCT if they don't spin off Sinobull to GTCI. As far as I'm concerned, they will have legitimate gripes against HRCT if that doesn't happen. I hope the spinoffs happen, but I no-longer expect "free" shares. In fact, many of the longs have been cautioning against any OTC BB stock that attempts to spin-off their subsidiaries. I still hold spin-offs from other ventures that are absolutely worthless. Enova. . .from HRCT, is one example that can be put to this board.
HRCT is progressing nicely. Then again, they should have had the common sense to build their business plan in a more professional way. . .while the market was strong. Instead, many deals transpired that shouldn't have taken place. Could it have been "Greed?" Much of the pressure could have stemmed from . . ."we" shareholders. Another part could have stemmed from over-exuberant management. The "red flags" were always there, however. I guess it doesn't really matter at this point. Most of us have a "short" and a "long" position in our OTC BB stock issues. I know one thing, I've learned a lot from following HRCT for a couple of years. I'll never hold another OTC BB stock that does what HRCT did. I'm dumping everything on the way up. Stocks have no emotions, and every OTC BB stock I've ever seen that POPS and moves frantically forward, comes down to where it started. That's why they are OTC BB stocks.
Oh well. . .live and learn.
Peace. . .

OB. . .man, I'll tell you what. . .there's a lot of that going around. Some of the "behemoth" companies may be rocking on, but the little guys are getting nuked. Lots of NASD stocks are on the chopping block. Many AMEX, as well. "Delisting" is becoming a normal part of the vocabulary on Wall Street. Bankruptcy is becoming a regular part of talk around small communities. Much of it has to do with poor financial planning and over-exuberant expectations. Some of it has to do with the economic downturn. Lets hope it comes to an end within the next few months. A lot of people are losing jobs out there. Not good.

SHCC. . .if "dilution" is to account for all of the shares being traded in the past couple of weeks. . .there's a lot of payments going on within that company! Weird. The stock is locked at .011. Sometimes drifts up to .012. MILLIONS of shares trade each day. The price never changes. I'd love to know what is going on with that stock!

I'm posting this message. . .because. . .it's been a LONG time since anyone posted on this thread. Haijek. . .who appears to know something about HRCT. . .has posted that news will be coming soon. Not sure who they are. . .but their English is shakey. Probably someone from China. So. . .take that for what you will. Lets hope the R/M of Sinobull.com with GTCI will be completed on the 15th as previously announced to the press.

Now, all we need is for thepennyking to be able to "do the deals" with foreign companies. Hey pennyking, you should contact HRCT and let them know what you're doing. My understanding is that they are pretty firm-footed in China. Lots of potential out that way!

EZ. . .I'm glad someone else is "feeling" the weirdness of the market. I have a "not so good" feeling on today's trading action. I believe INTC reports next Tuesday. That may flame the tech stocks for another week. However, looking at the charts on CSCO, INTC, JDSU and SUNW. . .I smell a pull-back coming. I'm going to do a quick chart check on the Dow and Nasd. Hopefully. . .they won't reveal what I smell!

Man, I'll tell you what. . .ADSX is having a very DIFFICULT time breaking the 50-cent level. Also, the markets appear to "mixed" at very best. Will probably pull back a little today and tomorrow. . .and perhaps a little more of a bull run, next week. Then, I have a strange feeling we're going to settle back down for a couple weeks towards the end of January before more market action comes forth in February. Economic numbers should start to improve somewhere around the second quarter. Slow as she goes. . .I suppose.

I think that HRCT's shareprice will respond the "second" they prove all the bashers wrong. I don't post on the RB site anymore because it's gone to hell in a bucket. Not even worth wasting time over there. However, it appears there are more and more so-called "bashers" popping up. I know at least one of them has been reported to the SEC by the CEO of another organization. Interesting to see what happens to that monkey. Anyway, when HRCT can live up to their statements, the stock should rock. I believe it would be safe to believe that most of us are hoping we don't see another missed target date. As for the lack of news out of HRCT, I would suspect there is no news until GTCI can merge with Sinobull. Sure hope that one goes off as planned. However, the batting average could use some improvement LOL.
