Interesting pump from the CEO. No mention of net earnings or losses at all, no mention of the terrible performance from Woodbridge compared to Gonzales, yet what he did post all sounds like a silver lining, or better at the end of rainbow?
Sounds like they are making serious moves to deal with the debt, and to try an turn a profit.
Is it possible they made a profit the last quarter? If they did, why hold back on that news? Is it possible they will make a profit this quarter with the cut backs?????? I think the answer may be yes, but we do not know the entire story yet, stuff like derivative losses (non cash) can pop up, or be surprise gains even?
What do you make of it all at this point?
I am still long.
HGS has recently shown up here and in a few other stocks I own and watch. Don't know the person (or entity, LOL) yet. Sounds like a stock news writer from the writing technique.
Bull or bear I also do not know. I first saw one his (her?) posts in COIN recently, a stock I still own some of, allbeit regretably lately.
But then again, I was the long ranger here 2 months ago, LOL!
If I read this right, the stockholders equity and cash in the bank are nearly equal, and that number divided by the OS is nearly $3 share?
WTF is this stock doing at $2/share?
Very good news that our current well location will not need fracing. Must admit even I was a little worried about the anti fracing campaigns I was hearing about lately, partly getting more press due to the BP disaster, and press witch hunts.
So if anything, this should be good news for us, for now!!!!!
Thanks for the warm welcome. I have 22 stocks that I am holding long. Many of them are alt energy of one sort or another.
Right now one of favorites, if it can get any notice and volume is MVTG.
It has a relatively low float, 1/2 of OS, and OS is only about 30 million shares, the insiders have been taking IOU's for paychecks for a year or so now, and have not been issuing shares to pay their salaries!!!!!! Which is almost unheard of!!!!
They have one of the top electrochemical engineers in the world (top ten IMHO) as the key inventor, Canadian DOE has given them grants in the past, they have patents, and they are in Korea this week to sign a deal with KC Kotrell (huge overseas design / Construction firm) and a major Korean coal fired power plant- Utility company, to build the worlds first electrolytic reactor to turn CO2 into a valuable chemical, namely Formic acid. No one is playing the stock yet, almost no daily volume months, took me 4 months to get lucky and buy some cheap shares. But the deal will be signed this week in Korea (they left for Korea Thursday/Friday last week, to do a formal press style signing....)
And they have JV deal with 3M (see the registered letter signed by the VP of technology filed by 3M, in the SEC filing 6-12 months ago).
Lots of good back ground on the Ihub board here:

Read back about 50 posts, but be sure to read the Ibox:

Only problem right now is this is (or has been) a buy and hold long term, FA stock play to a great extent, due to the near zero volume for months. But if the word gets out, and the stock is moving on some real volume when the news comes out, it could easily triple in a few hours or days! My target is .30 to $1.00 for now. WARNING, There is no liquidity volume to sell into (YET). I have already bought about 30,000 shares, averaged in at about .12/share.
OK guys, I have decided to join your your little party here. I like the professional work you all are doing here!!!!!Thanks for the help with getting people to notice CASB, as I started the CASB board back in April here, and it was very lonely there at first (LOL).
I am not a banker (personally don't like them, LOL) but many of the regionals seem to be indiscriminately oversold....rest of that/my story is at the CASB board.
When you all run into a tech stock (my favorites), I am an Environmental/Chemical engineer, so I can help in that area when and if it comes up here (real science versus BS).
So what kinds of stocks do you all watch for here? What kind of stocks do you avoid? Just want to get up to speed on what the focus is here, other than just profits (LOL).
It may be too early for you all, not sure what your focus is, mine is more medium to long term, with a focus on buying the bottom (knife catcher, SIRI was one of best, got in at .12 on that one), but a couple of sleepers that are way over sold are 2 natural gas exploration companies about to merge, AEXP and MNLU. Stock swap merger pending, and AEXP is selling at 40% discount based on the MNLU stock swap price, and the 4:1 ratio stock swap. MNLU is flush with cash, no debt and working on a sure thing well that should send the stock up 500% when the well is complete (4-6 months, 20,000 high pressure gas). Just check out the MNLU board here for all the nitty gritty details. May not be time to buy yet if your focus is short term, unless a hurricane hits the gulf, but once NG prices bottom this fall, the stock will move up fast, before the new well is complete. They are drilling near an old site where Chevron drilled in 1981, that Chevron abandoned because the gas pressure was too high for the tech in 1981!!!! One to keep a close eye on. AEXP has been acting like it made a hard bottom at .08 for quite some time now.
Alfa,
Thanks for sharing. Interesting indeed!
For those that do not know, the MMs operate under some of what I consider to be odd rules. Has something to do with giving them flexibility to create an orderly market, so I am told by my brokers at Fidelity, but it also makes it easy for them to screw over retail buyers that do not know all the rules. I suspect I still do not know all the rules, but I learned some of them this year when I saw activity like this ones on Friday, and I hounded Fidelity brokers about it.
What I learned, for those reading this that do not already know, one game or rule, is that the bid and ask is based only on unfilled orders with no limits, other than price. Limit orders of any kind, like "all or none" do not show up even on level II, or any where else, except the MMs or brokers desk, and the MMs can pass them buy at will. Only way an all or non order can get automatically filled is "if the ask drops to meet the bid" on a buy order, A sell at market can sell at the highest open no limit other than price bid, and pass up "all or none" limit orders even if the all or none limit order bid is higher than the limit price bid that has no other order restrictions.
Also, if the sell orders are small, like 200 share lots, it passes up limit orders for larger quantities, leaving them unfilled. This sure looked like a set up to take out stop losses, and to take the price way down by letting a buyer sell small lots to himself (?) at a firesale price to scare unwary investors into placing sell orders this weekend based on the Friday Nasdaq delisting news, which we all know is bogus issue right now, and structured to pass up higher priced, all or non orders!!!!!.
I doubt you pissed anything away, if you hold long enough. I too did well buying on Friday at EOD, at about .12 on SIRI!!!!!
You say wait till Tuesday? Why? Do you expect this to trip more selling Monday as people read the news and closing price this weekend, and push the price lower on Monday?
FWIW, I got into CASB and CACB both, a little too late (April 2010), and a little too early (waited too long, missed the Feb lows), so I am down a good +50%, but I bought and am holding for the long haul. I have a retired ex banker friend that bought a bunch of both of these at the Feb lows for the long hauls. He spent some time looking into all the really beat up regional banks, and this was one was one of about 8 that he told me he bought for the long haul and he was sure they would survive. If they get cheap enough on Monday, I may finally add to average down on this one, especially considering the extremely low share count!!!!
SIRI had some major volatility, ups and downs, on its way back up to $1 too. But keep in mind this one has a share count that is a tiny fraction of SIRI, so if it reports a profit in the next 12 months, it will go up way up beyond one dollar!!! So far the losses are dropping off exponentially, which is a very good sign.
For what it is worth, I have also noticed that CASB and CACB have frequently played a game of tag your it, with them flip flopping daily on a whose turn is it to rally game, and whose day is it for profit taking?
Actually I caught a statement in one that I found encouraging for some geological locations, but there is no where near enough safe places to bury it and they know it. That is why they are funding new conversion to other chemical techs like ours. Did you see the third page!!!! About Techs like ours that DOE has just funded!!!!! Giving more credence to this approach!!!!
It is on the upper right hand side, first section about 10 to 15 lines down on page 3, in the link they listed!
That looks like they deliberatly walked it down to cover their short covering perhaps, and tried to hide it in 200 share lots hoping no one would notice. Note that the short volume actually dropped a little today.
By the way, even though the short volume dropped a little, the float is only about 10 million and the shorts are nearly 1 million!!!! That is 10% short on small float!!!
If we can get just a little more buying volume next week, and keep the pressure on for a few days we could push this puppy back over a $1 easy next week.
Seems some body sold 40,000 shares in the last 2 minutes, all in 200 share lots. This smells of MM and Short manipulation!!! I will be watching Monday's open very closely for ops to add more cheap shares to longs. The float, and OS on this stock is very small folks, and that Nasdaq letter is old news for people that know what they are doing.
What is even more interesting is that they sold it all in 200 share lots, each and every one!!!!
I smell MM's and shorts playing games!!!
Strange day here to say the least. Way up in the green early in the day, then off a few percent late afternoon, then a nose dive out of no where at the close, while the rest of the market rallied like crazy into the close. The Nasdaq delisting notice was already out this morning, and ignored it. My best guess is somebody shorted it hard in the last 5 minutes, as I was watching it and the indexes at the closing, and CASB was back up nearly flat until the last 5-7 minutes, then it dropped nearly 20% out of no where. Had to be a short seller, or seller wanting to knock it down to buy cheap shares back. Or somebody took profits and hit the wrong key (Fat fingers,LOL) and sold a large block at market by mistake in the closing minutes.
I nearly hit the buy button at the close, but decided to see if selling continues after hours.
I just checked the final trades, now I am wondering if the MM(s) moved the price down to trip all the stop loss orders? There are over a hundred orders all for 200 shares each at .42 in the last 2 minutes????
That is freakin bizzar!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If that is true, then why didn't the prior well get put into production? I thought it was the new fracking (SP?) procedures that was made this site now viable?

Only reasons it is down, is a current glut on Natural gas, no hurricanes, no more rig explosions, prices of NG have been falling slowly from last winter highs, and may continue for 2-3 more months, unless a hurricane hits the gulf and starts the NG rally early, and the market is down today because unemployment has not moved lower. Lastly, some may be on the sidelines concerned that EPA will soon stop shale fraking, or require more rigorous permitting for it soon. That all adds up.
Good news is, most of the probable bad news is already priced in, or nearly priced in, including the risk of a dry hole. So the upside potential is huge, compared to down side potential.
With good news on the merger, the current well completion and positive well data, and winter spikes in NG prices, by Dec-Feb, we should see several doublings of the current price, even if it drops 50% from here on a market sell off this fall.
Maybe they want to be the Walmart of penny stocks?
LOL
Nag, nag nag, quite your all's whining (LOL), I started buying AEXP at .70, and it is at .08 now, again, down nearly 90%. And I added every time it dropped ten cents. But I am in the long haul here.
If anyone has a right to whine, it is the poor saps, bag holders at Helix, down from about $3 to sub penny (HLXW). I don't think they even got vasalene! I was thinking of investing in that one 3-4 months ago, glad I hit the escape hatch there before I bought that one. Talking about getting out by a bulldozer, trying to pick up pennys!
Point is, look at the bright side, it could always be worse!!!!
LOL
I know it is not me, LOL. I have still have not bought any.
Typically stocks run up on the rumor, and pull back on the actual news, so I was expecting a little more liveliness by now. Now I am wondering, if it will take news of the actual plant start up to get enough attention to blast this off into orbit.
Any idea how long the construction will take to complete?
Of course I realize other news can come along anytime.
While I agree that the ghost shares sound preposterous, something odd was going on here today, the price was held in a extremely narrow range, which is unusual for this stock, but even more unusual on a market rally day, with good volume in the IFUS shares, and then tag on the extremely bullish news this morning (Bullish if you believe it and take it at face value), and there was no reasonable explanation for the shares to trade all day in a +/-2% change range all day.
I wish I could get a decent chart done, and level II on this stock, but it is not available as far as I can see.
I am going to go out on a limb here an predict a 10,000% increase in volume real soon.
Should be an easy target to meet, since 10000 * zero still=s ZERO
LOL
If you can't tell, Eco is bored watching the volume ticker on our little pride and joy here!
ddab, maybe you can help clear this up. Something is wrong on the two sources I used today to try and nail down the number of shares. Pink sheets show a status date up date for next month? How can they report stock numbers for a future date? And shortsqueeze dot com shows OS as being 4 times the corporate limits listed on pink sheets!!!! And they show only 11 shares short, LOL!
From pink sheets:
*
Estimated Market Cap
$1,385,814 as of Aug 3, 2010
*
Outstanding Shares
194,001,799 as of Aug 3, 2010
*
Authorized Shares
250,000,000 as of Aug 3, 2010
*
Float(shares)
62,644,487 as of Aug 3, 2010
*
Number of Shareholders of Record
563 as of Aug 3, 2010
But how can they report numbers for a date in the future?????
http://shortsqueeze.com/?symbol=ifus&submit=Short+Quote%99
Is showing the OS as almost 1 billion shares already???
Fidelity shows nothing at all, and SEC shows nothing since summer last year report wise.
Also, since the new company is whole owned, where did they get $100,000 to pay for the order, and where will the whole owned sub company get the 2.5 million dollars they are touting in today's press release. Do they think we are idiots?
Lastly, I doubled my stock holding at .0074 today, but still questioning my sanity!!!!!
LOL, we can count on solid support at 0.00000/share!!!!
AEXP has broken up and out of a tight range, it seems to finally be bringing up the rear, and spent a fair amount of time bottoming in that tight range of .08 to .09, it is now closer to the pending 4:1 share swap parity than it has been in quite some time. If the trend continues should help set a floor under the MNLU stock price!
Shorts may be finally starting to cover on both stocks too!!!
The spread has moved from being as a wide as 10:1 at some points the last 3 months, to about, almost a 5:1 ratio now
Interesting write up here:
http://www.techmetalsresearch.com/2010/08/a-report-from-the-rare-earths-conference-in-beijing/
"as development of state-of-the-art clean tech and green tech products.
For example, it was pointed out that China built and installed 13 gigawatts of wind turbine electricity generating capacity last year, using rare earth permanent magnets for efficiency and low maintenance. The astounding prediction was made that by 2020, China will install 330 gigawatts more wind power capacity, with each 1.5 megawatt generator require one metric ton of neodymium-iron-boron magnet alloys, which, if they contains 34 weight % neodymium, would mean that the Chinese wind power industry would need a further 70,000 t of neodymium, approximately 3 1/2 times the 2008 production of that metal – all as new added material – between now and 2018-19."
It is starting to look like we are going to need to some kind of more serious press help at some point, to attract new investors, if we want this price to go where it belongs.
Recent news and no volume? I agree that no sellers is good news, but when does new blood, new buyers finally arrive? I suspect there are many potential buyers out there, that are afraid to buy with no volume to back up their purchases? That actually may be why the price is so stable, no day traders, but?
If they wanted to shoot the management they should have done it long ago, far too late now!!!! LOL
I would love to, but I don't need any liable lawsuits filed against me, LOL!
This Waste water thing will be very interesting if they ever give us any real meat on the tech, as that is what I do for a living, industrial waste water / environmental / chemical engineer!!!!
I checked on the new guy's (Waste water guy we brought on board) back ground (internet quickie search)and he seemed to the real McCoy. We will see.Nice to see a pending sale PR this soon!
I knew there was some reason I had NOT dumped my shares in POS yet. This is turning into one of those classic love hate relationships, LOL. Would be nice if they told us how much money we were going to lose on each one of these DEALS as they PR them!!!! LOL
Still holding long here (probably because I have lost all my sanity), but I reserve the right to throw stones at the management at will!
Interesting link:
http://www.spiritservices.com/
And you are basing that comment on what facts?
I think my adjusted R/S cost is closer $13
Interesting, I got the impression they had a working viable product way back when. So you are saying a convertible note was converted, thus diluted the stock in ahuge way and crashed the stock price? WOW.
We have news!!!!!!
LOL, and the price only dropped 10%.
I am inclined to agree with you, BDI looks weak and ready to roll over, again, for now.
So what happened here, did this turn into a socialist company and decide to give away shares to spread the wealth (opps maybe I should have said spread the pain)?
But seriously, the latest 8K says it is up 152,xxx,xxx shares OS now. Did they dump shares, sell shares too cheap, or losses got too big to fast? What was the OS 6 months ago?
What did they do wrong?
No, not yet, but I am still holding on for dear life to the shares I bought at $1-$2 three months ago! LOL
I bought them for the long haul, 4-5 years.
Do we know what the current OS is? Are they selling shares directly into the market to raise cash?
I disagree. After 10 years of R&D and no real business deals in the USA for their new engine, TTEG's CEO took a trip China early last year, starting making deals right and left, and the stock ran up 700%, twice, from ten cent land to the .70 territory!
Yes, I do agree sales and revenues is the real target, but China has a whole different attitude towards green tech and green house gas control compared to the USA. China is about to start a new 760 billion dollar stimulus program aimed at upgrading their entire energy sector, with a new goal to lower CO2 emissions in China by 40% by 2020!!!!
China has the rapidly growing markets, and the cheap labor to put Cyclone systems on the map, IMHO!
I agree, but I think BP has the annual prize for that one in the bag this year!!! So we may need to settle for a lesser place at the table, but I am starting to get use to that holding this stock.
Did any one read my post projection a little over a week ago here when I joked about use Terra to grow weed!!!!! OMG, I hit that nail squarely on the HEAD!!! LOL.
