Read your article more closely:
Medical science has identified the cause of about 30 percent of birth defects. That means about 70 percent remain without a straightforward cause. These difficult-to-classify birth defects have multi-factoral causes, or the causes are simply unknown. Multi-factoral means that the defect is caused by a complicated combination of both genetic and environmental factors.
For example, some cases of spina bifida are caused by inadequate folic acid intake by pregnant women who have a mild deficiency in a particular chemical reaction of the body. The birth defect does not occur in the offspring of women with the defective chemical reaction if they take extra folic acid before and during the pregnancy; the defect occurs in the offspring of women who both have the defective chemical pathway and who do not take folic acid supplements.
I believe most of those "multi-factoral causes" are life style choices such as poor nutrition, and I suspect that a lot of those life style choices are under-reported.
If you assume that the genetic mistakes are the defects that "God caused" then my statement would be true.
My beliefs are supported by personal Spiritual experience. I can't prove them to you because by definition those experiences are meta-physical. I can't deny them because I have experienced them and they have shaped my life and at times given me direct information that I could use to help others.
You said - just being nice to other people is a lot easier, less complex, less costly, and causes fewer wars than the organized ways of trying to teach people to be nice, and killing others in the name of that "niceness".
I believe that religion is a cultural artifact, not a way of spreading niceness, spiritual power, or anything else related to the Kingdom Yeshua taught about. Yeshua did not teach religion.
That Kingdom is within and we become reconciled to God by honoring that part of us which is connected to the Eternal One that is God which also sets us on the path of finding our purpose in this life and learning to honor others and this earth we live on.
I clearly stated that most birth defects are the result of lifestyle choices made by the parents. Fetal alcohol syndrome and low birth weight due to smoking are two biggies.
Have you ever heard of a lung cancer patient that smoked right up to the end?
We all suffer to one extent or another on this earth. Many people become more Spiritual when they are faced with mental or physical disease or pain.
Ever read about the PBB contamination of the food supply in Michigan.? God didn't cause that suffering, people did.
What about agent orange and the other chemical weapons used by the military that end up harming our own soldiers and their unborn children?
What about the neurotoxin that our government has permitted to enter our food supply, ASPARTAME?
The demand to justify expansion isn't there because we import too much crap and are turning into a service economy, which is an economy that can not be self sustaining.
Many parents of Downs syndrome children find that they are a special blessing because of the way they love others.
You are describing physical things - the Kingdom is within and accessable to all.
Most birth defects are the result of lifestyle choices made by parents by the way.
Eisenhower spoke of a "military industrial complex". Even though GE does not do much defense, it is one of the reasons medical costs are so high and it generally exploits the markets it is in.
I did say that the change would have to come from the "bottom up. I should have stipulated that I meant on the local level. I think the hardest part will be getting the people to understand what's going on.
My bigggest problem with religion is that it teaches people that they have to belong to a group and that group should dictate the way they think.
If you read the teachings of Yeshua on the Kingdom you will find that he is not talking about "heaven", the place in the clouds where God hangs out, but a spiritual state. He teaches about the Kingdom in the present tense, not the future tense.
Matthew 6:33 KJV
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Yeshua was not really into religion - he didn't teach about it.
Luke 17:21-22
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come , he answered them and said , The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say , Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold , the kingdom of God is within you.
If you ask a Christian what the "Good News" is he will likely say something about Jesus dying for our sins, which is totally wrong. The Good News is that God is a loving God, readily accessible, and that the Kingdom is to be found within.
"Forty-five percent (45%) of respondents say they would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate, while 42% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. This is the first time during 2010 that the GOP edge has fallen below five points."
This is a poll about parties, not persons or principles.
87% believe that party identification means something.
A student of history would know that Eisenhower warned us about the growing power of the military-industrial complex in his farewell speech.
Since then control of the presidency and the legislature has bounced back and forth, but the agenda has remained the same. Ascendent corporate rights and power and erosion of the rights and power of ordinary citizens.
The fact that such a poll would even exist proves that the pollsters and the people buy into the illusion that the partisan system represents legitimate ideologies and goals.
The proof is in the pudding - what we got from Obama is an extension of the Bush Corpratist agenda. I think Clinton was also on the team, he had his moment on the stage and set up the plot for the drama that followed.
Can anyone name the last president who actually obeyed the oath of office and put the Constitution first?
Nominate your candidate and support your position. I am starting to believe that Jefferson was right, we need a revolution for every generation and we lost out when the generation after our beloved founding fathers took control.
Are there those among us who would put principle over power, honor the unalienable rights of each man before the power of politics, corporations, and government?
NOW IS THE TIME WHEN ALL GOOD MEN SHOULD COME TO THE AID OF THEIR COUNTRY....
Weren't shares issued to principals when the new company took on the shell? Don't they have to be properly registered?
The company has a decent cash flow I would expect that they would continue to expand at a conservative self supported rate until the business plan was firmly in place, the technology proven and established, and there was more demand than they could handle.
Then a secondary would be well received.
Sorting out the teachings of the Master is a worthwhile exercise. Thomas Jefferson actually clipped them out and left the rest of the stuff behind when he made a personal Bible to study.
Many of the teachings of Yeshua (I don't like to use the Greek name associated with the mythology) were also attributed to Hillel a hundred years earlier. They were simply part of Jewish tradition.
Anyone who calls himself both "Christian" and "open minded" should go to the site below and examine the biographical details in the gospels. They are very contradictory which is internal evidence that they were added at a later date. You an actually line up the teachings and the events on the screen and see how they compare.
The discrepancies can not be explained by the "different perspective" excuse because they are factually contradictory. This is further supported by the historical inaccuracies we know of from other ancient sources.

I think the Tea Baggers have been taken over by the Republicans, they just don't realize it yet.
Maybe if the people woke up and realized that NEITHER party has their best interest at heart the system could change from the bottom up. Both parties are about perpetuation of power. They don't even believe their own campaign rhetoric or they wouldn't forget so quickly after each election.
When writing to the Dem candidate for Colorado Senator I suggested that he read Carl Sandburg's poem about Chicago to remind him of the spirit that made this country great. It's about the people. They don't have to be perfect, but they do have to have the opportunity to work and to produce, they have to have hope to make a better life for themselves and their children. We don't have this spirit any more.
Hog Butcher for the World,
Tool Maker, Stacker of Wheat,
Player with Railroads and the Nation's Freight Handler;
Stormy, husky, brawling,
City of the Big Shoulders:
They tell me you are wicked and I believe them, for I have seen your painted women under the gas lamps luring the farm boys.
And they tell me you are crooked and I answer: Yes, it is true I have seen the gunman kill and go free to kill again.
And they tell me you are brutal and my reply is: On the faces of women and children I have seen the marks of wanton hunger.
And having answered so I turn once more to those who sneer at this my city, and I give them back the sneer and say to them:
Come and show me another city with lifted head singing so proud to be alive and coarse and strong and cunning.
Flinging magnetic curses amid the toil of piling job on job, here is a tall bold slugger set vivid against the little soft cities;
Fierce as a dog with tongue lapping for action, cunning as a savage pitted against the wilderness,
Bareheaded,
Shoveling,
Wrecking,
Planning,
Building, breaking, rebuilding,
Under the smoke, dust all over his mouth, laughing with white teeth,
Under the terrible burden of destiny laughing as a young man laughs,
Laughing even as an ignorant fighter laughs who has never lost a battle,
Bragging and laughing that under his wrist is the pulse, and under his ribs the heart of the people, Laughing!
Laughing the stormy, husky, brawling laughter of Youth, half-naked, sweating, proud to be Hog Butcher, Tool Maker, Stacker of Wheat, Player with Railroads and Freight Handler to the Nation.
In Boulder County Colorado, and probably in a lot more jurisdictions in this country debt collectors and debt purchasing companies are bringing civil suit against individuals without proof of debt.
If proof of debt is asked for in discovery they push you into manditory mediation.
Lawsuits brought without proof of debt are brought in violation of Rule 11 of civil procedure and attorneys bringing such suits should be subject to sanctions.
..... but they are too well connected.
"Connected" - a term also closely associated with the mafia.
That's part of what needs to be changed too. Remember, the only legitimate source of a government's power (according to the founding fathers) is consent of the governed. If the governed don't have a voice they can't consent.
If their voice is taken away, Thomas Jefferson had the right idea:
“Every generation needs a new revolution.”
Sorry, my last answer didn't fairly answer your question .
Yes, I was surprised to learn that higher taxes on the wealthy was historically good for the economy, but it makes sense. Keeps 'em reinvesting and cuts down on hoarding. It also makes it harder to perpetuate a power base that depends on who you can buy.
I was not aware of the scope of foreign funding, but am not surprised. But if candidates were no longer funded through political parties wouldn't that be a lot more complicated and easier to trace?
Interesting, I have never read much about KKK history. Of course, being of Scots-Irish descent going back to Jamestown and Orange County Carolina, I know what a Clan is.
Maybe D.C. is finally realizing this is the only way out.
"Sure, Medicare and Social Security cost more, but spending on war and its infrastructure remains a titanic expense"
People paid into the system for Social security, so its cost should not be completely attributed to the national budget, part of it is simply return on investment.
As for medicare. If the drug companies did not control the FDA as tightly as they do, less expensive drugs would be used and nutritional suppliments also.
The FDA is a fraud. After all, it approved Aspartame, a neurotoxin, poison intended for consumption by the American public. Rumsfeld sponsored it at about the same time he was providing the ingredients for nerve gas to Hussein, and when Hussein couldn't manufacture it he sent him the finished product.
Please define the "Good News".
My uncle (now deceased) was in charge of G.E. X-ray division when it first started. Jack Welch was a friend and a contemporary. I don't know the whole history, but he came from inside G.E.
I now believe that the rise of G.E. was related to the rise of the military-industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us about in his farewell speech.
Perhaps it is stagnant because it has been totally assimilated into that complex and no longer operates independently or for the benefit of the stockholders.
There is a very large and very important distinction between Jews and Zionists. Judaism is a religious path, Zionism is a political goal.
Most Biblical scholars and students of ancient literature who are not paid by religious institutions will tell you that the Josephus references to Jesus were additions.
Remember, the originals of the Bible and almost all ancient texts no longer exist. What we have are copies made under the control of the Roman Church.
Sorry, wrong war. I have anoxic brain damage so I do get these things mixed up. The principle is the same - he put in his military service for Israel. There are also plenty of rumors that he is Mossad.
I do believe that Zionists have way too much influence in this country.
I read several articles on the subject at the time I made my decision. My recall stinks, but my comprehension is intact.
I'm not sure. I find some of the pro-Constitution rhetoric of the Republicans appealing, but I don't like their track record.
I also believe that that anti-abortion crap they keep sneaking in is completely un-Constitutional because it can not be supported objectively and they keep resorting to religious dogma to support that position.
I just wrote emails to both Colorado Senatorial candidates tonight. I encouraged the Dem to dump the party line and speak out for a restoration of rule of law. I encouraged the Rep to dump the abortion thing because of its inherently un-Constitutional nature.
If I HAD to vote and the vote was today I would vote for the DEM because I found the unconstitutional Rep position just too hypocritical.
What I want to see are TRUE patriots. Have to get term limits, cut off party funding and dump the professional politicians before we can get them into office.
Before I got kicked off of WikiAnswers.com I researched the effect of income taxes on the economy. I will quote the first paragraph under fair use copyright laws. Because of the user agreement I can not post my own work in its entirety so please read the rest by clicking the link.
I think you will be surprised, I was when I did the research.
When the working person bears an unfair burden of taxation creativity, energy and the ability of the country to produce are eroded. The greatest periods of productivity and advancement in this country came from the time when people could carve out good life for their family simply by working hard. This time is gone.

I almost voted for Obama - because I was in a "anything but Bush" frame of mind.
I changed my mind the night before the election when I read about Rahm Emanuel, especially that he went to support the Israeli military effort instead of the United States in Vietnam. Hell, even if he was a conscientious objector that wouldn't have bothered me, but I felt that this showed where his real loyalties were.
So I decided not to vote... The Democrats had my name from MoveOn.org and the Kerry Campaign, and they knocked on my door all day the next day. My boyfriend answered:
"Did she vote?" they asked.
"No, she decided that she could not support either candidate in this election." He answered.
"We have to speak to her" they answered.
"No, she has made a decision based on research and she is not comfortable with the cabinet Obama would appoint", he answered.
"But we have to talk to her and she has to vote" - and this scenario repeated itself again and again.
This was no grass roots campaign, this was a power play by the same cabal that brought Clinton and Bush Jr. into the Oval office from Nowhere, USA.
Until the voters in this country outgrow partisan politics and quit buying into elections because of a touted brand (the same way we by soap and pizza for pete's sake), they will get the same thing again and again, politicians willing to sell out to the biggest bidder.
What should the platform of a non-partisan Constitutional candidate be?
I'll get this started, please copy and paste and add your own ideas....
1) More tax dollars answerable to local government - ESPECIALLY education dollars.
2) Abolition of gerrymandering. Back to the basics, districts should be geographically related, mixing different economic and cultural interests when the real, physical community is not homogenous.
3) Term limits.
4) Campaign spending limits - make the journalists do their job and the internet will keep the ball rolling if they drop it.
5) For national politicians, no more piggy backing bills, no more corporate lobbying (government is only legitimate if based on the consent of the governed according to the founding fathers so who gives a D*MN what the corporations want?
6) Abolition of the Federal Reserve system and renouncement of any debt accrued on the behalf of the people by the sleight-of-hand called fractional reserve.
7) Appointing judges and creating courts that place the "unalienable rights" of the people before the alleged right of competition and monetary gain by corporation. Get rid of the lifetime appointees who violate the Constitutional rights of the individual.
OK- that's all for now - I my add more later.
The way it works - the hedgies get the suckers to buy the higher priced shares when no one will sell to them for peanuts (like the recent prices). Then once the shares are in new hands that buy from stock letter pimps -er- pumps, it is easy to manipulate the stock downward (left hip pocket, right hip pocket, they don't even have to go short) and get the shares cheaper from them when their attention is diverted to the next pump.
They are probably very aware that most of the float is in longer term hands.
If we do have another spike, I wonder if Ameritrade will have trouble reporting the price to us lowly retail folk.
It was discussed last week. Go to the home page for GRNO and do a search for "S1" on this board alone.
And don't forget - the S1
I have found out that my impression that the S1 would be filed with the financials was incorrect. It will be a separate filing.
So that's one more news event:
1) Financials
2) Harbinger's report
3) S1 filing.
and then there's the other stuff, production reports, new contracts, etc.
It should be an exciting ride, but remember it won't be straight up, and that's a good thing.
Straight up usually goes straight down a few days later.
Compare the volume by price for the year to date on the other three Monk plays. You will see that this one is the most solid.
Think of those bars on the left as building blocks. If they are choppy in size and have a lot of gaps your price base is not solid. GRNO LOOKS GREAT!
No, I think they are giving up shares at this point trying to keep it low for a while, then with their same computerized magical formula they will try to pick up a larger number of shares on the way up.
On news trading will get frantic, lots of money making opportunities for the auto-traders there.
Inquiring minds want to know....
Multiple time frames are really important in charts so I ask myself questions like this all the time.
Check out this one:
I just learned a new trick with quote tracker, hence the new charts. Look at that accumulation/distribution line. Gorgeous, except for the recent dip - they are giving up shares in order to keep this puppy down. Notice the gap on the volume by price at this level. Since hardly anyone has bought shares from .15 to .25 they aren't going to find people who get disgusted when it hits break even. Psychologically, it will be hard to shake shares in that area. Getting down to .15 will cost them.
Do you mean Steve Taylor? That was the purpose of my call to IR last week. I tried to draw his attention to my posts of T&S and the fact that there appeared to be a relentless seller at .36.
I raised the question of PRE-SHO shares, both long and short causing dilution that could seriously affect the share price of this stock. He promised to go over the posts on the board and draw them to the attention of management.
He mentioned the difficulty involved in uplistig, and I suggested that the possibility of major dilution in the form of PRE-SHO shares might cause management to re-evaluate their priorities.
One thing I found to be very encouraging is while he stated they had many "deals" in the works they did not intend to issue any more press releases until the financials were out.
I gathered from this account that they were as frustrated by the reaction from the last press release as we were.
"near enough volume" - are you factpring in the fact that 80=90% of the volume is probably fake?
Precisely, but I am a frustrated author always seeking a colorful metaphor.
LOOK AT THE TAPE -
almost all trades are in multiples of fours. What are the chances of that being REAL trading action?

I am not a Monk follower. His careless attitude toward those on this board who do follow him make him look pretty small in my eyes. No TA, no real DD, just the ususal RAH RAH until he disappears.
You can find a listing of his posts on this board by going to view posters at the home page for this board. The following is what I found and it appears that
