Hey JoeinIowa,
As you have previously spoken with IR (or mgt?) at IPII, can you suggest whom I should ask for when I call? Thanks in advance.
OT: Len, I'm sorry to have offended you. That was certainly not my intention. I never called you arrogant, and I'm sorry my words were interpreted that way. These message boards do leave a lot to be desired when it comes to interpretation.
I was trying to make the point that there are MANY ways of looking at the market, and there are all kinds of investors out there.... but let's leave off with further clarification, as that would waste everyone's time.
My last line was a PS to take my comments with a grain of salt.
Regards,
stockpeeker
OT: Sheriff Len, that was fabulous. Is your badge getting to you, or are you self-medicating?
My interpretation of your treatise is that you are overly driven by a desire to be right. It's a common affliction among frequent traders, and I honestly suffer the same affliction ... often.
I know your methodology is technical and statistical in nature, and (JMHO) please don't take this wrong, as I believe your words and thoughts are well-intentioned.
Your probabilities are not certainties, and your use of probabilities in your logic is probably somewhat misleading to some who frequent this board (particularly those who may be inadequately versed on the shortcomings of technical analysis, or those who are just hightly susceptible to your confident written style).
Now, before you get PO'ed at me, try to understand that I am really trying to be honest.
Investors in any stock base their decisions (buy and sell) on fundamentals, technicals, pure gut feel (if "in the zone"), greed, fear, anger, hurt, machismo, meekness, etcetera, or any combination thereof.
And ... like you say, news changes everything (even our best guesses).
Have a great weekend.
Best Regards,
stockpeeker@gmail.com
PS. Please take above with glass of water and a grain of salt.
Great to see the rebound today.
ZONS has bottomed. I have pronounced it, so let it be so. Sold 20% of my TVIN on a spike a few minutes ago and will be pouring into ZONS if it hits 4.19 today AND buying more FORD if it hits 6.66 (the Devil makes me do it).
Go ZONS, TGA, TGB, MDF, DAAT, ASPN, EGY
OK, Bob, thanks for the clarification. I assume you got that from the CEO, as I don't remember reading it.
By the way, TGA is about due for updated calculation of reserves. When I last spoke to Lloyd Herrick, he implied major increases in reserves would be coming. Have you spoken to him lately, or is it possible you can give him or Ross a call to discuss their opinions on percent of reserve increases?
Don't they need to announce SALES, not just INTEREST in their product? Seems a little like PR was put out to bolster sagging stock price. Now they are saying their device is interesting to law enforcement, etc. Next thing you know, they will say it can be attached to a stun gun.
My point is only that the financials need to show up to maintain the interest in NWAU stock.
JMHO ...
DRCT bouncing back after dropping hard this morning.
Bob, where is Copper article from? Thanks in advance
It's alive; it's alive; we don't have to return to RB...
OMNI woke up and took off today after announcing they will sue Debenture Holders that shorted OMNI stock. Up about 20% thus far. I missed my bid earlier, so hoping it drops back to 1.50
Could not find the link, only saw what was on RB... someone else said they called and confirmed with EGSRE. I basically got out w/o confirming absolutely that the news was true.
Act according to your own risk tolerance. It is actually rebounding slightly from the lows today, but I am OUT for now.
Unfortunately, EGSRE partner Double D (private) just opted out on their existing agreement. This news came out just about an hour ago, but it doesn't show up on EGSRE news yet.
Bad timing, as investors are already sensitive to EGSRE filing delays. Not good news, so I did the dumpdance before my EGSRE coach turned into a pumpkin.
See EGSR subject on RB for details.

I believe RRainman is in Austria for the week.
bbotcs, you are corrrrect, as CTEX does appear to be the dog you thought. I was trying to get a quick response in case there was good news, but I'll avoid this one for now. Thanks for the feedback.
Has anyone looked at any of the following before? They each announced good earnings this AM. Just trying to get a quick fix on whether any will move today. Thanks.
TARG, VTRU, CTEX, SLAB
FORD ... I'd like to change my answer ... $8 before $6
Enjoyed taking profits earlier today until I saw it keep going and going and going ... like the Duracell Bunny.
Quite a mover when it goes ... I only hope my hot little IOTN will pass the FORD in the fast lane later this week.
Sold all my FORD today after buying last week when it corrected to 6.30. Thanks! I'm too biased to say whether it goes to $6 or $8 from here, because I'd like it to drop to 6-ish for another nice bounce.
Also bought MANC (4th time in, after 3 profitable trades) and bought IOTN for first time today. Both appear to be at low end of trading range, so I look forward to strong move up in these.
peeker feeling fine ('cept for EGSR"E")
Thanks Markrhead, for sharing the update from the company.
Well, re: EGSRE -> EGSR is not happening fast enough I suppose. I suspect we will have positive news in the next day or two if not this afternoon. Could be a buy as Nervous Nellie sells her shares. What do you think of this opportunity, RRainman? Do you really think EGSRE is code for SCAM?
CPTC, the composite wonder horse, has been quiet of late, and the stock has drifted lower.
I may even buy some if it reaches $4. Is the Chinese negotiation tactic to wait until CPTC accepts terms more favorable to the Chinese?
Puzzled by all the hype over the promising new technology and a deal with China in 2004 was followed by lots of quiet disappointment.
Anybody able to offer encouragement about when this zipcodechanger will announce a significant new contract that will make it move?
PS> Hey, I thought the Falcoons had a chance to beat Philly yesterday. What was I thinking? We love to believe what we want to believe regardless of daunting probabilities.
Thanks, Kipp, I've owned a chunk of this for about 4 months, and like they say, the story is great, but the delays have been long. If they award in the next month, I do expect to see ERHC higher, but don't ask me to estimate how much. Could go over a buck in short order, but hard to be certain...
Good Luck,
stockpeeker
Wade, don't eliminate ALL China stocks from consideration. Keep in mind that they have the fastest growing economy in the world, and it looks like Asia is on track to become the financial center of the world in future. They have too many advantages for you to ignore them forever. I agree it's hard to evaluate the financial soundness of some companies in Asia, but over time, there will be some big winners.
Now, given that I've said the above, I do not currently own any myself, but I remain "open to the possibilities".
Regards,
stockpeeker
Can you please give an English summary of the Spantel involvement? Thanks for the help.

RR, have fun, but don't turn into SSnowman.
OT: Dear Friar Tuck,
Please sit on Koz for all eternity and lecture him on the wonders of the universe and the delights of high carb diets.
Luvya, Koz...

'preciate the feedback... and oh, 'preciate your rec on FORD as well. Thanks a bunch.
I say, "WHAI", and you say, "WHAI NOT?" ... huh?
Here's an excerpt from their Q3 release in November '04:
"For the nine months ended September 30, 2004, actual sales were $17,786,136, ... "
They have been quite acquisitive in '04 and did have revs of over $17 million in Q3. They estimate $200million in revs for all of '05 to reach the $.50 eps.
Hey, ya never know, they do sell nurse services. Wasn't Monica a nurse once?
TGB had its best day in awhile today. Good volume and up about 6%. Anybody hearing anything about our Canadian copper & molybdenum producer?
TVIN was up, but not as much volume as I expected with analyst coverage started at BUY w/ $6.75 as 12mo target. If anybody wants a copy of the PDF report on TVIN, just send me an email.
HWEB, you and Marty Zweig and SpongeBob have always been influential.
Might want to look at WHAI as well. They issued strong projections for next year. Expect over 50cents EPS in '05, and stock is currently at 3.33
MIKR (currently 6.70) is also being optimistic with earnings for 4Q reported today (.32, fully diluted) and CEO made optimistic comment that 2005 should be even better!!!
OT: Kozuh outside and play ... with your fishing guide.
Bought a bucket of NWAU this AM and it now looks like the market is saying wait til they successfully achieve 30 cents EPS. Could finish unchanged for the day afterall. Durn these used car salesmen.
HWEB, is mum the word for WIRX? gaining a little buy volume, not much, but more than usual, and price gaining a little to boot. You have a fix on when earnings should be announced?
RR, NO, I still have about 10000 ASPN, but the wide swings on thin trading still smells like fish that's been out of water for too long.
RR, I know you turned against EGSRE after holding for a short while.
But... don't I recall that you were evangelizing to buy EGSRE (selling fish) at one point about a month ago? Hey, could have been someone else, but just wanted to ask whether you were ever positive about EGSRE.
ASPN 10% move up on 6200 shares traded... smells like fish...
Any of you guys hanging out with EGSR"E"? They need to get numbers submitted this week and said they would, but it ain't happened yet.... hmmm.... could cause some gyrations in EGSRE if the good ol' boys don't finish their homework.
Caved and bought NWAU this AM. Sold FORD at 5.25 for 20% gain... but missed an extra buck a share (oops, hit my limit before I saw blowout news).
TVIN and TGA and TGB looking good though, so having a lovely day for a down day in the market. Shucks, somebody just trashed TVIN price. Gotta find that guy, he's messin' wit my good mood.
