Well, I guess I'll have to eat crow (yuck), as my prediction of $51 didn't happen. No more going out on a limb for me, lol.
IIRC, Nasdaq had a rule that any stock that went below $1 and stayed below $1 for a given period of time would be cause to boot the stock to pink sheet status so companies would do reverse split to push the share price above $1. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. JMO
Sail, your post reminds me of something Ron White said in his stand-up routine: I had the right to remain silent, but not the ability.. LOL
I'll go out on a limb today and predict IDCC closes above $51 per share this afternoon. :)
Mickey, I'm pretty sure a "reverse" split would result in a smaller float. A 4 to 1 reverse split would leave us with less than 10 million shares. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. JMO
Btw, a 4 to 1 reverse split would probably get us that $200 per share you've been talking about, lol.
Investing in the 40's.........how bout the teens?
Hey Jeffrey, how bout we get past Thanksgiving first. The old "horse before cart" thing. JMO
Back atcha and GLTA longs.
I'd be the first to admit that as a 12 year share owner I had doubts and was impatient during the past years, but as of the last year or so I've become more confident than ever. Now that Bill Merritt lowered our goal from $800m to $600m I've lowered my expectations proportionately. I no longer expect $150-$200 per share. At 62 years old my exit point will be much lower. JMO
There ya go.....optimism is not that hard after all with IDCC. It jist goes to show you that anything can happen at anytime. JMO
Dozer, according to Olddog nothing of significance happened in Delaware on Friday. But like you said, it's unusual to see this kind of after hours trading for no reason. Hopefully the trend will continue on Monday. Good luck to longs.
Dozer, I can't say I disagree you, but me thinks something happened in Delaware to create the late trading on Friday. Here's to me hoping I'm right. JMO
246,000 shares traded after hours at the day's high is impressive.....especially on a Friday. Monday might be fun. JMO
Yep, it dropped to 604,000 shares. WTH
Yep unusual, but I like it. Mr. Short might have something to think about over the weekend :)
Thanks DWS. I understand now.
I may have been a tad bit too direct. Everybody here respects your techie prowess. Apparently you have a good idea of how valuable IDCC's patents are (or aren't) compared to......let's say....QCOM. IIRC, QCOM has been contributing testimony in recent IDCC hearings. My question is how does QCOM fit into the full scope of ongoing litigation? Tia
Sooooo, what's at stake tomorrow? Come on Data Rox, level with us. I know you can. JMO
I agree, he jist gives great IDCC stock diagnostics. JMO
I see that IDCC recovered nicely after a 2% drop earlier. Not bad!
Thanks Postyle, yep that's the one.
We'll see, maybe one of the mods will give me a green light and I'll post the pic in the morning.
I have a recent picture of Ranger and one of his grand kids, but I doubt the mods would allow me to post it. IIRC, Ranger sold his IDCC shares a few years ago, BUT his wife (Bee) still holds her shares. JMO
It's starting to look that way, but me thinks IDCC has also been a job security, cash cow for many lawyers for many years. JMO
I'd be curious as to how many $millions IDCC has paid in legal fees over the last 15-20 years.
No, sorry to say Ranger passed about 6 months ago.
Without a doubt, God bless Frank. YAY for $50.
Thanks Jim. Good to know.
We also use Ameritrade so I'll be removing the margin from our accounts. Just curious, can shorts borrow shares from my IDCC shares in our 401K?
Thanx Data. As far as the Huawei delay, we've all waited this long....what's a few more months. Especially with momentum on our side.
Don't feel bad, Data. I asked about Eugene in post #391603 with no replies either.
Geez Loop, it might be beneficial if IDCC/NOK/MSFT lawyers were able to read your post. Makes lots of sense. JMO
We maintain our EW rating.
Paullee, what is a "EW rating"? tia
SO, I agree. IMO it would only make sense to have the same judge and jury decide damages as they are already familiar with the case.
DWS, I concur. Miss the good ole days. This board (IMO) has its share of control freaks. They are quick to delete any opinions conflicting with their agenda. The sad part is....we are all mostly IDCC longs. Go figure. JMO
You're exactly right. Just watch...this post will be deleted. Miller should not be a moderator. JMO
Mickey, what were those infamous words.....oh yeah....IDCC IS A SCREAMING BUY!!!! LOL
General Jeffrey, as you well know, long shares can only go to zero.....short shares, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT. JMO
This is a good thing....NO?
Who is Eugene Fox?
