CREDIT MARKETS BUDGE
In one glimmer of hope, there were signs of the start of a thaw in the credit markets. Interest rates on U.S. overnight commercial paper dropped after overnight dollar and euro rates fell closer to central banks' new lower targets.

What’s also on the rise are
What’s also on the rise are the number of large aircraft in position on the tarmac in Tunica. At least three 737s or MD-80 aircraft are utilized by casino properties for charter services. Nash points out that officials are also seeing significant numbers of non-casino aircraft, making regular flights in and out of the center daily.
Tunica is growing - “July was a record month for us,” said Nash. “With 6,075 passengers in July and about 7,000 in August, which is again a new record for us at the airport. We are really excited that both the casino properties with their continuing charter flights and with the non-gaming flights coming in, that it is just growing and picking up.”
The increases came as somewhat of a surprise to officials, according to Nash.
“It is good to see. With the high gas prices and fuel costs we were a little afraid that things might actually take a nose dive, but what we have seen is actually some growth, so we are tickled about it, of course.”
“Hopefully some of the other casino properties may start adding more flights and as users come here and use this airport as a regional base, that we can become an alternate or alternative location to the Memphis Metropolitan area. That is a good thing,” Nash said.

Airport business gaining altitude
Those paying a visit to Tunica Airport may have noticed a number of large aircraft, including 737s and MD-80s, on the runway. Airport officials have noted that flights in and out of Tunica are increasing.

I believe it may be the last of the holdouts from the past two years
also, if you download the volume in a spreadsheet from yahoo, you will see that 75% of the float has been turned over in two years, and that 4M shares were traded since the last move - I believe any sellers would be new sellers and would hold out for .80 and above depending on the news. if financing comes, it goes to $2.2 in my opinion

more Background info on CEO
The Spirit were owned by Nicholas Lopardo throughout their five year history.
Lopardo acquired the team in 2002 when he purchased the then-Waterbury (Connecticut) Spirit. After the formation of the team was announced in August of 2002, Lopardo funded a massive, expensive renovation of Fraser Field. $2 million was put into improvements in seating, comfort, and technology of the field, including the installation of FieldTurf in the infield.
In their first season, 2003, 90,000 people attended Spirit games, a record for pro baseball at Fraser Field. In the 2003 season, the Spirit won the first-half North Division championship and defeated the Quebec Capitales in the first round of the playoffs, 3 games to 0, then were swept by the Brockton Rox, 3 games to 0, in the league championship series, giving Brockton the Northeast League title. Another highlight of the 2003 season was a game against the New Jersey Jackals in which the Spirit set over 15 Northeast League records by scoring 14 runs in one inning.

I take this as a good sign because the MMs feel the risk and do not want to be caught short when it breaks a dollar
yes, I really think no one knows
not in Memphis Appeal or any other, not even Tunica Times yet
also consider
that some of the offers might be AON
so even a retail order for 1000 might not get executed if the offer is 5000 AON. what if all of the offers are 20,000 AON?
the consortium is locking shares for the future
that's my positive take on it
I was disappointed, though not too surprised
what is going? no seller, no buyer. enough people knew about it.
I even called a MM and asked if it was halted. the stock was open all day.
guess it needs to hit a real paper; doesn't matter though
when the land deal closes, the result will be the same

price target
see my other posts here or yahoo for a more rational target; however, let's have some fun
Asset of land 36M, 1st round of financing 700M = $736000000
divide that by 45M shares = $17.46/share. wow.
lop off 75%, still puts stock at $4.75.share
1 yr revenue projection after operating costs is $3.3/share
(3.3 + 4.75)/2 = $4.025/share
this is my target if they announce that the land has been bought.

Minimum Valuation = $2.8 /share
Here's my math: 9 casinos on the river make 1.5B a year. Add a tenth, and that's 150M per casino. Divide 45 o/s shares of Myriad into 150M = $3.3 per share. Multiply that by 85% for costs. $2.8/share
Now this is bare minimum, by smoothing revenues between all, and projecting only one year. How many years does Wall Street usually pay up for? 18-48 months.
What if Myriad earns the lions share of 300 or 450 million and a few others go out of business, which is likely. $4 5 6 7 / share.
no. they are jerking it around, dropping the bid in order to scare people into selling, (and they are doing just that), so that these buyers, and I believe new big buyers, can get stock and not put the price up on themselves during a quiet part of the day.
we will go through that .90 resistance and break $1 soon. then it's $2.5 - $3.3 where it will consolidate
