I thought previous PRs stated they have 3100
year round planograms already. They made a big deal of how they took seasonality out of book light sales with their 3100 stores.
The 10KSB will give us 4Q booklight sales, and mid-May, we'll get an idea about 1Q sales.
Regards
I think we calculated around 1.9-2.0M for 2006 in booklights
I'm guessing 2007 revenue will come in around 2.5M. I don't think Howard meant it would be 4M.
Could they do 4M in booklights for 2008? That will depend on the 3100 store planograms.

I'm sure they're related to each other

I don't think so, DD
They did a name change of OBS. I don't think that website you found has anything to do with CHDT.

This might make you smile a bit.
CHDT's STPtools.com adorns a race car that ran in last week's Nashville race. The winner (Wimmer) of the race got a Gibson Guitar.
CHDT's affiliate attempts to register the trademark "Take Anywhere" for it's new PC peripheral product.
Gibson already has an application in for "Take Anywhere":
http://assignments.uspto.gov/assignments/q?db=tm&sno=78966201
The Notice of Allowance has already gone out, they need to supply the Statement of Use for the registration to take place. They've already filed for an extension to do so.
Don't get comfy with that takeanywhere.com. Gibson will be within their rights to take over that domain once the trademark is registered.

There are only a few flash memory manufacturers in the world, and almost all OEM equipment is designed and manufactured in China, Taiwan, Singapore, etc.
Flash USB products are commodity devices, little extras like security and pins make your product stand out, and command a price premium.
It'll come down to advertising, price, availability.
You're right though, some consumers buy on name.

It was in one of those google hits for Personal Pocket Safe, or whatever the new TM is.
Systematic Development Inc. came from a TESS search on 350 Moran Blvd, as did Exam Worldwide.
Black Box is the old OBS, and Exam Worldwide and Systematic Development probably are Stewart's own companies.

As 1Q ends
Things we're likely to get this week as promised:
A)10KSB, very likely, they took steps to address their financial reporting weaknesses which had unnecessarily delayed past filings.
From the 10KSB we'll get extremely important information: Current O/S (we already have a solid number for this), float (much disagreement about this number), revenue (already leaked to the board?), gross margin (perhaps the most important metric of all the numbers), operational costs (next in importance to GM, my opinion), stock equivalents (the number no one is talking about). I'll go over all these things when the 10KSB hits.
B)STP tools on shelves, and/or in catalogs announcement, likely this week. Should provide a nice up-tick in volume and price, but watch the action closely. Recent dilution in the form of 506 and S-8 shares is not fully absorbed yet, my opinion. I think most are waiting for a news spike. They'll get it on the STP news.
Things we may or may not get this week:
C) Conventional financing news. Financing for the company's on-going STP ramp up and roll out, coupled with payment terms from the company's China suppliers. Absolutely important news which will affect achievable growth this year.
Things we probably won't get this week:
D) New PC peripheral announcement. This was to come in the first quarter, with it providing immediate revenue. Not a big deal if it's pushed out a few weeks, but a missed date.
Did I miss any promised 1Q events?
Regards
Could you quantify that statement?
100 fold the investment? You sure it's not 73.2 times? Or .573 times?
The going rate at the time they announced their two primary sponsorships was $40,000 ($15K for the Daytona Race and $25K for the Talladega race).
Can you give me a feel for why you think they got $4,000,000 worth of exposure? (That's two Superbowl commercials, or there-abouts).
Track attendance at the 6 races so far has averaged a bit under 70,000. Actual number of people with pit passes, where the STP display is located, will be much smaller than that.
I watched my first race on TV last Saturday. I saw the #81 car twice. I'm pretty sure I could make out the big M for Mahindra on the hood. The rear quarterpanel Mahindra was not visible to me. I'm sure the STP tools logo was there, but even looking for it, I did not see it. The #81 car was on the screen for about 5 total seconds during the whole race, from what I saw.

The things you can find on the Internet
This brought a morning chuckle:

DJ qualified 28th for today's race in Nashville
This week Macdonald Motorsports doesn't list a title sponsor, so it will be interesting to see what they have on the hood and rear quarter panel.
Here's a pic of the Mahindra Tractor/NPPL #81 Dodge last week at Bristol:
If you squint, I think you can make out the STP logo. STPTools.com is probably impossible to see unless you have a telephoto lens and some high ASA rated film.
Regards
Qualifying Time: 11:05am/et, Saturday, March 22
#81 has to qualify on time again this week. Although they switched to 2008 owner's points after the Bristol race, Macdonald Motorsports stands 33rd in points.
45 cars are entered, I think that means 2 cars won't qualify.
Regards
I count 54, DD
In any event, the rotary tool is already on the list.

Now that's comical!
I just turned the iBox back on to see if there have been any updates.
The Float has gone down?!? That's nonsense. There are only a few ways that the float could decrease: If the company buys back shares from the open market, or an insider buys shares from the open market.
Neither of those two things have occurred.
The float is over 200M shares, for reasons that I have previously posted. Don't believe anyone that tells you the float has gone down without compelling (i.e. Filed SEC docs) evidence.
It's the increasing float (S-8 shares and 506 shares) and the lack of substantive news that is causing the price decline.
Regards
March 31st or
really nice rack.

Didn't Howard just get done telling
you to watch for PRs about the catalog placement in the next couple of weeks?
Let's go with that. March 31st or Bust!

Did you see this link?

I don't see any overlap with STP tools, but I'm sure there are clearly defined product categories for each licensee.
Regards
The numbers Howard has to show
at the end of this month won't provide much support, Paff. I think everyone is in agreement that they'll show more losses.
The real problem is there are too many new shares available, chasing too few buyers. The news that WILL come should provide more buyers, but watch the action carefully when we get the volume.
I think it'll be another case of Pop and Drop. Good time to buy if you're a nimble flipper.
Regards
You've got a new symbol CVIC
and apparently you're on the pink sheets (Other-OTC).
Regards
The facts are clear
and the result is the steady decline in stock price over the last month.
Couple ~30M new shares entering the float (the S-8 shares and the 506 shares) with seemingly delayed important news (STP tools on shelves announcement, new PC peripheral announcement, conventional financing announcement, 4Q2007 results).
The news will come out, and the stock price will rise. The only question is how quickly the new float shares will clamp down on the pop.
We'll know shortly.
