Boooo.
Do you want to mod this board?
I'm not a big fan of the President (or government for that matter) but I try not to attack what he does as President mostly b/c I could never do the job myself. Same for Clinton, George Sr., Reagan etc etc
Nope, just saying that Audited Financials are really not the end-all of transparency. Every good CPA knows how to legally "cook the books." And not every CPA is "good."
1. They only had an option on that land that expired
2. That, I believe is a Hayden rumor, at best
3. Pro-gas is gone along with it's big revenue predictions and next to nothing margins. I think it was a lemon sold to them by a good salesman...
4. Supposed to be drilling "soon." Don't hold your breath.
5. Do you really want to see the Bayou Boys dancing around the pit naked at night after too many cheep imported beers?
IMO
I don't know when you bought PBLS first but they are certainly a lot more transparent now than they were just 3 months ago.
And no, we don't provide audited financial, the market's "ultimate litmus" for true transparency. Right, just ask the folks that bought Enron how much audited financials really mean in today's market place to stamp a company as "honest." Zip in actuality. A whole lot to the sheeples though...
Yes. Absolutely.
I know you are being realistic.
The only thing that bothers me is that so many other pinks provide so much less information that PBLS and yet they trade at a multiple. Heck most of us own a few. But everyone wants to treat PBLS like it's already on a big exchange and not living up to the standards of a big exchange. For a pink sheet stock, PBLS has provided a ton of "evidence" that they are legit and making money.
But we shareholders keep going, "It's nice that you gave us x, but what about y? Oh, thanks for y, but what about z?" I am prone to doing it too. Then I stop and say, wait a minute...inspite of the increase in the O/S, there has been huge growth demonstrated by this little pink. And they sold shares to produce that growth. I mean, we could still be sitting here making $500k a year in profits with an O/S of 300M. So now the O/S is 2B and we're potentially making $10M+ profits a year. So O/S up 7x but profits up 20x. I'm okay with that. And Preferred Stock is just a debt instrument every company uses. Financing anything at 6% right now is awesome. Best I can do, depending on the type of commercial loan is LIBOR + 2% or Prime to Prime + 2%. And hard money/private money is still between 12-15%
I guess I just wanted to say that yes, PBLS does things that are annoying/aggrevating/their own worst enemy. But I also want to say that the way we treat them based upon our expectations is unrealistic and unfair most of the time.
This is still a pink sheet stock. We all bought a pink sheet stock. We all hope that someday it is treated like a big board stock. PBLS might experience that. PBLS might not. That's the risk we assumed when we bought, but from a growth stand point, these boys are doing just fine IMO even without the $6.6B contract.
Actually with the big board correction just starting I am fine with PBLS on the pinks (at least for the next 6 months).
Plus I am purposefully negative sometimes so no one can claim that this is a "pump board" anymore. I think negative comments are good sometimes because they make us all think.
Book value per share puts us at $.049.
That means our P/B value right now is 0.326. Industry average P/B for Conglomerates is 13.3.
So don't even value us off growth. Value us off the assets and we are still WAY undervalued.
OT - I had a dream I was a convict like Ray Liotta in "No Escape"
Hope it wasn't one of them prophetical dreams...;)
Today would be a good day to follow up with another PR to hopefully entice some buying...
Something along the lines of..."these are the names of all our new partners...here's a complete understanding of the capitalization structure...we uplisted last night to AMEX...special dividend to all common shareholders of a $1 per share...how about a new Bentley for each 100K shares you have certed...free Lear Jets rides to all shareholders..."
Is that asking for too much here?
OT - Technical Question for Technical Nerds (that would be guys like you gnulnx) ;)
The little bar thingy at the top of my internet window thingy keeps "rolling up" and disappearing until I move my pointer thingy back up to the top of the page. I'm using Internet Explorer. It's really annoying. Can I lock it in place some how?
Thanks in advance.

O/S is 2 not 2.2...of course that is liable to change "soon"
Notes on the Numbers:
Gross Margin increased from 10.4% to 14.2% - GOOD
Operating Profit Margin increased from 4.1% to 7.63% - GOOD
Net Profit Margin decreased from 4.8% to 4.7% - OKAY
Working Capital increased from ($1.8M) to $10.7M - VERY GOOD
Current Ratio increased from 0.94 to 1.53 - VERY GOOD
Acid Test increased from 0.48 to 0.91 - VERY GOOD
Current Liabilities decreased by 29% - GOOD
Long Term Liabilities increased by 174% - OKAY (still only approx. 30% of current assets)
Book Value up 7.33%, annualized to 14.66% - VERY GOOD
EPS - between $.003 and $.005 per share - OKAY
Current P/E (based on $.016 closing price) - between 3 to 5 - BAD
TODAY PBLS MARKET CAP IS $33.2M, OR 32% OF BOOK VALUE ----CRAZY!
Appraisals aren't worth much in S. FL. Most lenders will require a 2nd appraisal, and many major lenders won't do loans in Dade County period (because of mortgage fraud).
Where I live we've been dragging the bottom of the chart since 1/2007. At first no one would drop their prices. People kept listing. That was all through 2006. Now sellers here are getting the picture and dropping prices and inventory is drying up as people who don't need to sell hold off on listing. Inventory to me is the leading indicator. No better forecast. If you chart out average days on the MLS, sale price as a percentage of list and total number of listings monthly, you will see the trend. Inventory always moves first.
Of course, the successful ones just can smell out a good deal in any market. Numbers are just proof of their gut feel.

400% is a nice run.
.0001 to .0004
.001 to .004
.01 to .04
.1 t0 .4
$1 to $4
$10 to $40
Well, you get the point.
CFC might end up merging with some one else, but they will survive IMO. Unless of course they are cooking the books like Enron was.
It's funny that people think that buying big board stocks are "safer." Any and every BOD can and will lie, cheat and steal if it equates to a higher pps in the short-term. The pennies just can't hide behind their brand like the big boys do.
Great stuff, especially the Sunset Wheat. Never been to Vegas. I lose enough money gambling in the pennies...
Please let there be a sell off...please let there be a sell off...;)
(That's my futile attempt at a bash today to get a few more shares)
I did...was making a funny.
Concerned with what? ;)
"mbblcoi oij jdji4rjdjppd" translation..."financials are coming soon."
Ummm...you just said "the way of the P." Think about it...
My daughter wants to type something...hold on.. mbblcoi oij jdji4rjdjppd
Get that ?

Nothing invest yet until the deal closes. Give me 60 days and I'll be able to put some money where it's needed...for now I just pray (and have a beer to secretly celebrate)...
LOL.
(Most of these kind of posts don't make me laugh...this one got to me...of course I'll have to delete it in 72.39 minutes for being a TOU for a personal attack)
I was just answering a PM about that question. Truth is no, I haven't heard anything but I have spent the better part of today holding the hands of developers trying to land their business. I expect that at the latest the numbers will be PR'd in the morning. I'm not expecting huge numbers as we are still using cash flow to make acquisitions and to outfit existing companies. I'm more excited to see them continue to keep with current promises. Hopefully this all will equate to the destruction of "soon" from their vocabulary. In Newspeak, later equals unsoon. In PBLSpeak soon equals later but maybe never.
Ren
PS landed a deal today. Almost makes up for the one I lost yesterday...almost...
Then "very soon" is novosery?
So is Mike O'Riley really Mike Reilly?
2,026,527,511 O/S Same as yesterday.
Agreed. I tend to rely on the "truth" from outsiders more than insiders due to past experience with PBLS.
Im watching CFC for the same reason. Trading near it's low since late 2003 (when the boom hit). CFC is one of the better run mortgage companies when it comes to lending standards. They are frustratingly tight and that tightness will help them survive the financial sector down turn.
I'm not a big board stock guy b/c I like the leverage in the pennies...but CFC picking up HMBN's marketing channels was a strategic move for them...
None of the "insiders" I personally know are selling right now. Most of them have been in this as long if not longer than we have and have ridden their shares lower than .015.
Sorry, but I don't buy the theory.
That's what we're all betting on.
Now if I could just explain why I keep hearing John Fogerty singing "Someday Never Comes" in my head...
The problem is that the partners could be buying between the bid/ask and working with an MM to do so.
I agree...the Bayou Boys don't want an ungagged TA. That's what gives me hope for the future as long as the partners stay around.
Sorry. He checked his brain on PBLS at 12:27pm after he called the TA.
That slacker will be back tomorrow.
Agreed. Enough talking about religious/spiritual things. that discussion is more explosive than talking about PBLS. After all, it doesn't matter what any of us say, because in the end, "wisdom is proved right by all her children."
True, that's my MOSO.
Thanks for letting me not focus on the O/S everyone. I'm sure some of this will get deleted by big brother later. ;)
