Scottrade shows we just passed a volume of 6 million shares traded and up .054 currently! Maybe it will catch SDRL up 53% 35 million shares traded? Why didn't you guys tell me to buy SDRL yesterday?
I have been in LQMT since 2006 finally feels like it might pay off my cost bases is around .11/.12 I believe!
Holding for 5.00 ... and beyond just like Buzz Lightyear!
Excellent point u508 - and to clarify OLED doesn't even make the actual OLED displays - they really only make the materials and develop the technology to make OLED displays and have 100's of patents in OLED panel technology processes. They receive a lot of royalties from Samsung and LG and ship a lot of OLED material. Much of OLED's current share price increase over the last 6 to 12 months - is because of Apple announcing they are finally going to OLED screens.
But I think your right - LQMT has a much larger potential going forward than OLED probably has - however there is a huge number of OLED screens that will be built over the next 3 years! I can't think of any laptops that currently use OLED but HP is working on it and so are others. It won't be long before just about every screen you look at will be OLED.
Jolly, I do not like reverse splits, in my opinion companies need to raise their share price the old fashioned way - by earnings.
What I think LQMT needs to do, and will hopefully soon, is start getting revenue coming in the door, build solid earnings, and the share price will increase rapidly.
Once serious revenue starts arriving at LQMT's front door and they start showing a profit then they can start a share buy back to reduce the number of shares.
DMN do you remember when the LQMT website had a picture of Lindsey Vonn and her skis on their website? That is basically what led me to invest in LQMT for the very first time (I think that was like in 2006/2007??)
"Can such a transformative technology be so profoundly overlooked by the investment community"
I bought OLED for approximately $9 dollars in early 2009 - OLED is currently about $114 dollars. I'd say that is fairly close to proof a major transformative technology can be so profoundly overlooked by the investment community.
By the end of 2017 early 2018 all significant smart phone screens will be OLED screens. By late 2018 early 2019 a large portion of TVs sold will be OLED screen TVs. OLED will be in your cars, house, and just about anywhere you look at a screen - computers, laptops, watch, etc. in less than a few years.
In mid to late 2008, when I started to investigate OLED, there were no well known investment analyst covering OLED. In other words it was about in the same state that LQMT is today; basically a development stage company with lots of R&D and a whole bunch of patents, burning through a lot of cash, and almost no revenue back then.
Let's start something semi-constructive by doing some what-ifs with future orders:
What types of orders, by number and revenue would significantly move the stock price.
What if over the next 3 months LQMT received 2 orders 1.) for 2 million and a 2.) for 5 million would that be enough to get LQMT to $1.00 - or would LQMT need 1 or 2 orders closer to 10-20 million to get LQMT to $1.00 per share?
What is LQMT break even point at right today?
Come on all you genius investors what type of order with what type of revenue really moves the PPS? Let's put some numbers on the table that get's to approximately $1.00 PS
I first bought shares of LQMT when they had a picture of Lindsey Vonn and her ski's on the LQMT website. Does anyone else on this forum remember when the LQMT website had Lindsey Vonn with her ski's picture on the website? I think it was a few months before the news broke about the felony president if I remember?
Again you used the word "depending" I didn't - I could retire right now if I wanted to but I like my job. LQMT is a hobby if it goes to back to .08 where I bought at it does not effect my retirement one iota. Who said I was depending on LQMT anywhere in my message? I bought SIRI at .05 when everyone said it was penny stock and don't count on it for anything now look at SIRI - by the way Warren Buffet just bought SIRI - and yes I will be using my SIRI stock for retirement lots of it and it now pays a regular dividend. You don't know what will happen to LQMT anymore than you knew what would happen to SIRI 10 years ago neither do I - but I'm long with LQMT and yes if it goes to 5, like SIRI did, it just makes retirement a lot faster if I want and a lot nicer for me or my kids and grandkids!
