That is the truth.
But I'll add, this has taken a GIANT leap towards "probable" with the floating of both EPA potential names. Great "coincidence" that both are signatories on the Pro-Pebble doc.
GLTA!
BTW I'm a Silver... For what it's worth... gulp. Holdin' tight!
....and thats why we're not $70 pps
Still hangin' baby. Looking forward to this ride!
GLTA!
Yep. Canine the Sage.
All it would take is a plan for the debt. Even the announcement of, or hint of one.
That's really the only thing holding this rocket back. I'm sure Management must realize this and be watching their holdings as well. Wouldn't you think?
Agreed whole-heartedly.
I just wish I hadn't sold my fluff, albeit at a nice profit but still. Hindsight being what it is, this is why patience is an oft-rewarded virtue in the market. :)
Still have the core though, looking for 60+
This is becoming more of a possibility with each passing week......:)
AAL!!
Exciting week ahead. I'm curious if they'll go through with the mediation, or just wait until the new EPA head takes over and just cleans the slate. Anybody have any idea when the mediation is scheduled? I had read late 2016, but also read early 2017.
Great DD, thanks.
Just reaffirms my belief and faith in this investment.
I have always maintained my personal price target for AAL to be 65.
With the current price of the other big 3 (I now include LUV in this, as their business model is going to rapidly morph into line with the current Big 3), my belief holds even stronger in this number.
What remains as a barrier is of course the debt.
I just can't fathom why Warren would invest most heavily in the most debt-laden and leveraged among them, if their wasn't something afoot.
JMHO of course, but the guy clearly knows a thing or two. For that reason alone I'm staying pat to 60+
Get ready folks...
... we are go for the moon.
If this hits 8, it'll see 18.
Happy thanksgiving to all! GLTA!!
Happy thanksgiving!!
We all have a lot to be thankful for.
Especially us long timers, we're finally getting some of the respect this stock deserves. GLTA!!
Yeah... how convenient.
Oh my email server was too slow, so I used a private one... which I deleted..
Oh, and then my hard drive crashed too. Silly me. I didn't think it was a big deal.. I'm just a Government Official, I mean.. what should it matter..
Gee, who does he sound like? :)
Could we make that a "love" button. Like just isn't strong enough. I like beer. I LOVE AAL.
Don't be in any hurry.
The higher the PPS the more the DCR is worth in aggregate.
Which means less shares distributed to settle obligations.....Which equals more remaining for us $$$
Yeah Baby!!! GLTA $$ Been a long time comin' !
It's been a heck of a week!!!
GLTA
Our Prez. - elect especially included..
Go Baby Go!!!
This is awesome. Buffet. Analysts. FINALLY!!
Oh why oh why did I sell my "fluff"??...
GLTA!! Wahoo!! Rocket ride!!
FINALLY!!
Well, I guess this is the inevitable profit-taking after such a nice run.
Still, it does sting even though I've grown to expect it. Why oh why can't they just announce an "accelerated debt pay-down" like UAL did a few years back.
C'mon guys!!
Holy crap.
Hang on tight! :)
GLTA
My hunch is an Anglo or Tinto return after they get launch clearance, which now looks highly possible.
I figure those big guys do enough gambling in their overall business model, but the lack of Gov Approval is one step too many outside that risk model.
But if that's in place, this is a go for launch. JMHO
Amen!!
I meant 6 by week's end.. :)
I think you're making my point for me. And I agree, he must see or know something.
yup.
But look at it this way, when it's $7 pps, you'll be kicking yourself you fretted over $1.40...
GLTA
Jesus... If this is accurate... holy cow.
It's no rumor... Trump got elected! :)
He's going to tear the EPA a new one, and this puppy's going back up to $6... :)
My guess is he and his peeps know something. AAL is within minutes of exhausting the buybacks (if not done already).
They probably have a "phase 2" plan and my bet is debt. That remains the reason we lag the others. Buffett wouldn't load up so heavily on the most debt ridden of the three if there wasn't a reason to.
Oh F---K YES!!!!!!!
Even now, with the rising of the tide, the underperformance continues...
They're on track to blow through the remaining buyback cash in this quarter, if past quarters are any indication.
After that my hope is they reveal a plan for the debt. Or authorize more buybacks, but I doubt it, that seems to have been trailing off. That would help this run continue.
Which will be bitter sweet as I offloaded all my "fluff" shares at 39 (bought at 33-34). But the core would climb on. Someone once told me to just face the facts that everything you buy will at somepoint be cheaper, and everything you sell will at some point go higher. Oh well. Sage wisdom it appears...
Right there with you. I want to add but hoping for a dip.
Impossible to know near term movements. Might be some profit-taking soon that may crater this a bit. If so I'm scooping more.
Mr. Prez might not get to the EPA stuff quickly, he's got bigger fish to fry.
But when he does...
For the record, "wet the bed" was meant as a general term for panic, directed at many of the occasional posters whom all seem to have sold and vanished now.
Not aimed at Slack personally.
He (she) is unknown to me, but has earned their stripes - and due respect - for perseverance and long-term commitment to this board.
and BTW your crystal ball seems to be far more accurate than mine.
Like I said in an earlier post, I think the EPA saw this coming. Odd they agreed to mediation just weeks before the election. Odd isn't it.
This could be the beginning of what we've been waiting (hibernating) for...
I'm glad you're here. Everything's going to be fine.
What, did everybody wet the bed and sell like slacker? (many thanks , much respect)
I'm shocked by the quiet here. What the hell guys (and gals). This is awesome!! Where is everybody?!?!
