I have come to the conclusion that Tivus sp will not go north until there is a company share buyback or RS. There is just too much of a negative psychology created by the company to budge this stock beyond this bottom where it now rests. This has nothing to do with charts or other "good news" (with the possible exception of real contract $'s and earnings). Management just keeps shooting itself in the foot, and they are now going to PROVE to US, the shareholders, that they have confidence in Tivus, and the only way to show this is to buyback shares to the toon of several hundred million and stop dumping manipulative $ in the hands of MM's. If you want to be treated like a real public company, act like one. GLTA. R3
If that was a pump, it was a real amateur job! No, this company is finding a bottom and I think we are here. Now we need news about $'s. They also need to get current on quarterly reports. Again, this ain't rocket science. It takes earnings to make money on sp. Tivus, give us $'s and tell us about ad insertion $'s. Don't wait until next year. R3
Well I hope you are right but they said they are using their "own" advertising. GLTA. R3
What it means to me is that those statements are vague and can be interpreted to mean that no revenue or ad insertion dollars are yet rolling into Tivus' coffers. When I hear that Tivus has a contract of $3.5 million and ad insertion revenue of $15,000 per month, then I will know we are not just putting on our own ads on hotel TV's. GLTA. R3
It appears as though Tivus is putting their own corporate ads on the ad insertion technology. In other words, tivus is advertising their own ads on their own tv's in order to try to prove their system works. Would have been better to have had advertisers who were paying for this service. R3
Fundamentally, dmlabuda is right. Anyone who has watched Tivus can see that there is a strong market psychology of downward trending that has left it on the bottom. I do believe that I see some resistance building and a bottom may be forming around .0004. Time will tell.
Tivu has shot itself in the foot so many times that it is largely responsible for sp sitting on the bottom. It will now take not only Philly and DT, but a multiple contract from Host to really boost this stock to where it should be and break this psychology. That is why I am such a stickler for a stock buy back program to shatter downward market psychology. Confidence building will take this stock back to where it should be and has been before. Add a $150 million Host long term contract will put this right. AIMO and GLTA!! R3
Good to see brian and Irish back on the board providing some counterpoint to our investments. I hope and pray that Tivus will now announce the Philly deal with $'s, and then start a stock buy back at anything below .001. It won't take much debt capital to set this company back on it's feet and send the price of stock rocketing northward. Here is hoping they are smart enough to invest back in their company and get this out of the doldrums. It can be done and should be done. This way you take the surplus out of the trading. Play it smart, Tivus. Just this one time!! R3
Jwez, lots of reasons. Check how long it took for the number of OS to accumulate. Almost overnight. Huge issues of devastating dilution. Absolutely little to no confidence in management because of promises that don't get fulfilled on a timely basis. Announcements on contracts that get made public without $ amounts, like "phantom" contracts. There is revenue, but really no revenue? Do we know if ad insertion really works and is attractive to advertisers? On and on it goes.
I believe all of the above, but I am not the average investor who just showed up. Tivus has to clean up it's crap and get even with it's pr before it goes north. I believe they can, but shorts are playing a dangerous game here, and more than a few have been short of money after playing with this company. GLTA. R3
Lots of folks tried to run Tivus on a pump and dump. To date, there isn't enough topside to run very far. R3
When Tivus reports $'s, then your sp will reflect $'s. All the newbies are going to learn a tough lesson, but I like their energy and forward looking projections! GLTA. R3
NIC, where is SH's comments?
I am excited on their filing of the two year audits. Next step is to get current on pink sheets. Step two is to get revenue reported in any form, but the Philly Marriott contract and the ad insertion revnue should be enough to get the stock back up in the penny range. Then, a reverse split and uplisting to the QB. IF all the above happens, this sp should begin to resemble something of a normal company. Add in the 50 unit hotel contract with Host, and this puppy will make someone some money. Here is hoping that SP never forgets the terrible price paid by early investors in the derivitive debacle and massive dilution which is why all the newbies are currently in shock over the price of Tivus being currently stagnant and still in the basement. Bad lessons often teach us more than victories IF we actually learn from them. GLTA and you newbies get your friends to buy Tivus at any price! AIMHO. R3
Nic, just post SH's words. Getting any information is better than none! GLTY. R3
I was just missing your input, that's all. Hope you have a good day and good to hear from you, Irish. Many mountains yet to climb. R3
I am complimenting you! R3
Jwez, this is the result of managements inability to deal forthrightly with it's current active shareholder base. If your supporters are shell shocked from all of the lack of credible pr's and they don't know what to think about the company, how can we expect others to do anything but dump their shares at cheap prices, and that includes the MM's. I hope they eventually learn their lesson, but if history is indeed a forteller of future behavior, . . . . . ????? JMHO. R3
Bryan and Irish, where are you? For all us faithful longs, we have been here before and the price just lingers. Now, we hope all you newbies are right and can move the sp up. I will say that it has been my constant belief that Tivus has been under priced, but that being the result of mismanagement from on top.
The key is proving the concept and getting the contract from Philly Marriott. We have been waiting for a long time, but apparently there are some advertisers who are doing the ad insertion thing. IF Philly Marriott releases the current contract, then Tivus should bump closer to the low penny range. We still patiently wait for the $ numbers!! R3
I love all the newbies on the board! It's like having a whole litter of yellow dogs (who I respect and honor)dropped into the house of Tivus! GLTA! Keep buying at all levels because Tivus can use the energy and sp!!!!!! R3
Welcome to Tivus and the end of the day dive! In essence, all the shares sold today moved almost no where. A quarter of a billion shares with very little movement at days end. Some cash came into Tivus and several happy new warriors hope and pray they will get rich. I hope you are all right! Now, we must have a major contract announcement with real CASH! Then and only then will we see .01 but not much more until the whole system proves out. It's still possible, but an uphill swim. AIMHO. R3
I am very pleased that the audits have been filed. But lest we get too nutty here, we are still under the caution flag and yes, Tivus will hang around this level and drop again without a very strong clarification of the "contract" in Philly. We all need to take some time and review the audit to see if we are actually getting paid from DT (as per the contract) and many other questions.
Now for all those newcomers, welcome. May Tivus rise from the veritable dead. R3
Jat, got it! Thanks.
To all, I will be checking in occasionally over the holidays (which for me start today!!). May you all find comfort and blessing in your respective faiths, and may the cold winter be offset by the warmth of your family and/or friends. Take care to all, and yes this includes all those who work for Tivus! R3
They have so badly destroyed confidence an announcement of a $150 million would leave this stock at less than a penny. No one will believe them. R3
This move certainly tends to show that SP was not forthright when he said he had a contract with Philly Marriott. This new AS telegraphs that there is no contract now, or to come. One doesn't increase AS at these levels if debt financing is around the corner while share price shrinks. If a multi-million $ contract was real, the float would have been frozen in place, and share buy back would have strengthened the sp, dropped the OS and we would be off to the races with Tivus. This is the sad collapse of an idea that had promise on paper, but fell apart in implementation. I think when the history is written Tivus just couldn't get the advertisers it needed and it's concept apparently is falling apart. All the talk of uplisting is just a fool's paradise. It was a gamble and it failed. AIMHO R3
Well, we've all whined (me included) about as much as we can about this stock. After a while, the negativity lacks as much credibility as Tivus which tells us nothing and performs at an equally astounding rate! So, let's just let it go for a while and see if these "officers" of Tivus can produce something other than high blood pressure for investors. Here is our reality: they don't have to tell us anything and probably won't. What will be will be. GLTA. R3
Irish, out of my past I really prefer to share comments based on more or less detail versus speculation. As time has gone by, it became more and more obvious that the divide between what SP was putting out and what facts were showing pushed my opinion of his statements over the edge. Having said all of the above, this company is still not beyond survival and development IF their tech is valid and if Marriott actually has committed at some level. The problem is we just can't trust any of Tivus' statements given their long term track record. That is the crunch. R3
We are all missing multiple "revenue" predictions. What happened to the five year, multi-million $ Philly contract? What happened to Ohama DT $1.2 million? Isn't that revenue? Funny, it has never shown up on any financial report. That is why we have been waiting for the last two year audits. They seem to have told so many versions of the truth that they don't remember what they have previously claimed. I still want them to succeed, but my goodness, it is so much easier to just tell the truth once, then you don't have to remember what you said before. They are giving the appearance of not being truthful, and there is no one to blame but themselves. Sad. R3
Without further news quickly, I think it is reasonable for investors to believe that they have not been treated fairly or ethically. It is inconceivable that Marriott would call them in months early and then not produce a contract with actual numbers. Here is the truth IMHO: Shiva got a "potential" contract based upon the ad insertion technology being proved with local advertisers. In other words, SP never really got a contract, IMHO. They are struggling to get enough local advertisers so they can prove to Marriott that this might work enough for them to really sign off and give them a real contract. But there is NO contract when BOTH sides haven't come to a final mutual agreement. IMHO, this is what all the fancy footwork is about; they have no deal yet and have put all their person power to work to try to get enough ad revenue to impress Marriott.
The company cannot survive without a RS. Even raising the AS to "Unlimited" won't save them without a RS. The price of the shares will lead them into bankruptcy without the deal above, IMHO. IF they get to debt financing and finalize the deal above, then do a RS they can still survive and rebuild. But if they can't pull off the deal above by year's end, I think they are toast. I want to be clear that all the above is IMHO. R3
News will be coming soon, because they will HAVE to release some news just to get the AS to "Unlimited". Wags, you can put lipstick on a pig and still call her your girlfriend, but she is still a real pig! SP, DM, SH and company are becoming real oinkers. Pretty tough to paint a picture of this pork and say it's Marilyn Monroe!! If calling a spade a spade is negative, list me as negative. But I think these are just the terrible facts surrounding Tivu. R3
No despair here, my friend waggett. Just want to see them do what typical businesses do everyday; produce a product and get paid for it! GLTY. R3
I suggest that they just changed the AS to "Unlimited". After all, isn't that the truth? Then it avoids all this nonsense about deadlines and dilution. We know it is already way beyond the point of no return on dilution and after a while, the only thing that means anything is the hard data, none of which we currently are receiving.
I for one am not going to be paying a lot of attention to this until hard data is filed and substantive news is released. We are spending way too much time staring at our belly buttons, and the company just has nothing to report. There is no sense continuing to flog a dead horse, and like I said earlier, the only good news is hard news with real numbers and data. This isn't a negative post, just the reality of life owning Tivu shares at present. They are just not performing at any real business level and posting needs to be about substance, not how many more shares are left in the AS. GLTA. R3
Are you saying ubsmarter2 that LNET's ad insertion technology is based upon what the viewer is watching and therefore targeted to their immediate viewing preferences? You seem to be intimating that. R3
Well Steele, where are they getting all this money? I am not talking about chump change, but millions. This stock ain't giving them this. R3
I want to share what I still believe to be true. This company is trying to do something on almost no money. That is holding up about everything. I do not think them to be criminals, but I do believe they are trying to do things they have almost no experience doing and are peddling along as fast as they can. Our frustration is warranted, but if indeed the above is true, we just have to be very, very patient with the slow pace of progress. What we think is important, I suspect, they also agree with, but they are probably dealing with immediate, put out the fire type business that keeps them behind the eight ball. I don't think we are dead, but we are crawling around a concept that if they had big bucks, would have already been a reality. $2 million in immediate cash would solve a ton of these crazy problems. But, they don't have it. So, on we plod! R3
I understand, Irish. What I suggest is just try (and God only knows it is hard with Tivus!) to focus on the issues we can all measure. The more emotional we get on this, the worse it makes us all feel, and we all feel bad enough! Pouring hot coals on a roaring fire just makes things worse, IMHO. I do empathize with you, Irish. Let's just hope this body can get off the critical list and be a real comeback miracle. It has happened. GLTY. R3
There is nothing else to do but take what they give and hope that at some point they quit releasing pr's that don't have any substance behind them. What would have been better?
"We have signed a deal with a Philly Ad agency to have them fill our ad insertion tv's with local advertisers."
"We have filed our last two year audits with the SEC and released our Q2 financial report."
"Host has released our $3.5 million dollar contract, thus allowing us to rely on debt financing over equity sell offs."
The closest thing we got to real substance was the "audits are finished". However, no one can see them because they haven't been filed. We are still on "yield", SH is running around trying to get the local McDonalds to put ads on the Philly Marriott and the sp is hovering around .0004 to .0005.
Once again, this thing can improve with the release of meaningful measurable progress. So, IMHO the dead can rise if Frankenstein will pay his utility bill and shoot electricity into the corpse to give it life! And yes, I do agree with Wagget. If I felt totally defeated by this company, I would get out and go somewhere else. The only thing all the POS talk does is . . . . . ? R3
Let's all recite what we need to see Tivus'sp go up and strengthen:
1. Announce the size and terms of the current Philly contract (I say $3.5 million)
2. File the quarter 2 report and remove the yield sign
3. Get the two year audit filed
If we want to see more price rises, go to the following steps:
4. Announce a large multi hotel contract with Host
5. Put dollar numbers on the ad insertion technology to impress the market
6. File timely quarterly reports and avoid yield signs
7. Buy back 4-500,000,000 shares (at current prices a crumby $250,000 will do the job)
Do this, and the company will have a nice recovery and bright future. Settle for a RS and we go backwards again. SP, do the right things for your shareholders and company. Do the wrong things and this will be a sub penny for years to come. AIMHO. R3
Nearly 50,000,000 shares turned. There must be more behind this pr than meets the eye. I want this to be positive, but there are no $'s behind this and it is already down to .0004. When will SP and SH learn that these announcements lack staying substance. If this had been announced that a $3.5 million deal for Philly was in their pocket, we would have had a great day. Right now and without something being bought or filed, it is another pr that lacks substance and staying power.
So what can be positive about this? Well, the audits are finished, if SH is telling the truth. Let's see if the yield sign comes down from Q2 and the audit is released. File the darn things and let's all look at them! The past performance is making me skeptical. GLTA. R3
Nic, the real problem is that the trial period did not result in any ad insertion of measurable means. Yes, it is technologically possible, but will advertisers see the kind of real returns they want to make this happen. Estimates are one thing; real returns are another. JMHO. R3
Waggett, thanks for all the posts.
In SH's defense, he is obviously bearing the burden of doing way too many jobs that he may or may not be qualified to perform. It is obvious that Tivus is using him as their salesperson in Philly and they are not hiring an experienced advertising salesperson to push the ad insertion tech. They are obviously cash starved.
It is MHO that Tivus is on the edge of breaking out or breaking down. They have this great opportunity which they are trying like crazy to achieve with limited resources, a sp that is awful, few hands on deck, and a monster company that can do whatever they want with Tivus. I said it before, I believe that Host is going to push Tivus to the verge of bankruptcy and make them yell uncle on their pricing and system before they sign any contract with them. They don't care about us or their cousins getting rich. They care about making millions of $'s for their sh's and their officers.
Tivus has limited leverage and Host knows it. They obviously are holding up the contract because they are not convinced that the AD insertion tech, while a great idea, may not work in practicality. Hence, SH is sweating his balls off in Philly trying to show that advertisers will go for this concept. When Host is convinced that it will work, they will sign a contract, but not until they see this thing functioning. I believe the whole company is probably resting on SH's ability to be a top sales person for Tivus and get advertisers to this market. If he fails, it's over. If he succeeds, we start crawling out of the deep hole of awful sp. JMHO. R3
jwez, please quote all of what I wrote. "No, the dearth of news expresses that no progress has been made and put into a final form, as required in any business." If they had anything really completed, we would know. R3
Here is one of the great struggles with staying positive with this company: "Right now, the dearth of news lately belies recent progress." No, the dearth of news expresses that no progress has been made and put into a final form, as required in any business. If you have news that improves your business position, you trumpet it to the world. No news means nothing is happening.
However, in the spirit of the season, let me try to spin a humorous verse.
Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat,
Won't you please put a penny in Shriva's hat.
If you don't have a penny a .000001 will do
And if you don't have a .000001 you will very soon
if you own Tivu!
Sorry. I got a D in poetry. R3
