I just heard that there's a big stem cell conference going on in Baltimore right now.
Havne't had time to read up on it yet.
gapping early?
I have no clue what the stock will do. I hope that it goes up, I think that it will at least go up somewhat even without a PR, but only time will tell.
(cough cough, ahem)
RAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
HULK SMASH and DESTROY these weak 4.25's!!!!!!!!
RAH!!!
3 trades in a rolling 5 day period is ok. 4 classifies you as a Day Trader, at least that's what it is on Etrade.
I try to do no more then 1, maybe 2 of them. Sometimes you might buy some stock or average down and then it jumps, and you know that it's gonna drop back down and simply want to get out. I feel like I always want to leave myself that option, just in case.
Behl's bid just went back up to 4.2, slow and steady wins the race!
dadon,
That's good stuff, use it to your advantage. But don't get caught day trading more than 4 times in a 5 day rolling period or else you'll be stuck with that label.
MVBY looking good all of a sudden, here comes the bounce.
well just buying 100K shares at .0405 today could net you, without fees, $350 if you sold it now. Assuming fees of $10 per transaction, that's $330. Take 65% of that for a net gain of $214.50 on a $4,050 investment.
That gives you a net ROI of 5.3%. Now, you won't have to pay the taxes for a while, so you still have the gross amount to play with.
flipping can be very lucrative, especially if you have enough funds to begin with. You need at least $25K in your account in order to be a day trader, but with the volatility of day trading, I would guess that you'd be better off sitting with at least $50K instead.
It does pay to flip, but that's another story.
But yes, the taxes are pretty hefty.
RAHHH!!!!!
Hulk SMASH through these lower 4's!!
rahhhhhhh!!!!!!!
I behlieve that he's MIA when the stock heads north.
make your own conclusions!
there's a little buying pressure, I just saw a few pretty sizeable blocks go through on the ASK.
Ironhead, I'm in the same situation.I sat on the fence the past few weeks-then stayed off the web for a couple of days and -wow- the train left without me. I think I'll wait till later in the week when possibly the buying frenzy gives way to profit taking-then maybe there will be an opportunity to get in. I'm trying very hard not to beat myself up too bad.
Veto, so are you trying to convince everyone that this will drop, in order for you to have a 2nd chance?
exactly, everything in due time. But the best thing to do is to put most of your focus on a few select ideas rather than a little focus on a lot of ideas.
rah!!!!!!!!!
Hulk SMASH anyone who disagrees!!!!!!
rahhhhhhhh!!!
I don't know the post #'s, but it was discussed either late last week or earlier this week.
I thought we were getting rid of the spreadsheet?
dben, that last trade yesterday of 4K shares at .045 was mine, you're welcome :)
I saw the Ask at .043 and put in the order at .045 to make sure that it got filled.
exactly!
i have a little hope,
that the longs have load the boat!
and we can see a run from now!
But if we don't, then don't have a cow!
This is not much of an apology. In fact, your "credentials" confound and confuse me, when it comes to the statement that a Par value above a current stock price implies an overvalued stock.
Well if someone is going to make, what in my opinion, is a ridiculous statement then I will question it.
I think it was a VERY fair question to ask if you knew what PAR value signifies. If you did understand that term, then I don't see how a conclusion can be made that a stock price ABOVE a par value means an overvalued stock. Is that not what you were implying?
Is Google, as one example, an overvalued stock, simply because it's stock price is above its Par value?
I don't want to scare any of you off, but the PAR value on this stock is considerably low and the current stock price is overvalued
I think it would be very amateur-ish of me to say that a low Par Value on BEHL signifies an overvalued stock price.
If I was on the verge of completing my masters, I would have learned this well before even starting the grad program.
umm, do you know what Par Value signifies? It's nice that you put so much emphasis on a meaningless statistic!
This is my last post and it's a shame to waste it on something ridiculous, but so be it!
Hulk SMASH par value!!!!!!!! rah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STLK up over 50%, creeping it's way back to .02+
someone already mentioned this, but what is up with all these SEQ trades today?
There seem to be a ton of them. The price on my e-trade marketstreamer keeps going all over the place!
I have "fallen in love" with 3 companies. Otherwise I've been a trader.
The first company was CTIC. Made a really nice profit on that one. Then there's BEHL, and I'm still up pretty big on that, not to mention I have also been flipping smaller blocks here and there. The third is CBAI, I'm down about a grand there but am not concerned.
Each mistake that I've made has been a good learning experience for me. I've taken a beating on a few stocks but analyze what I did, where I went wrong, etc. I have then used these tools in the future to improve, get better.
I am still pretty green as I've only been doing this since last October.
and I usually get BioMass Monthly on the 29th, if my neighbor doesn't swipe it (the centerfolds are hot)
err, what kind of centerfolds do they have? ;)
Greedy,
Also keep in mind that while I have been doing a lot of trading the past 6 months, I still manage to avoid being labeled a Daytrader, which would require 25K in my account at all times. I'm not ready for that just yet, want to build a bankroll of at least 50K before I do that.
BUT, when I do get to start flipping stocks minute-by-minute instead of day-to-day, there is SOOO much more money to be made! I've missed many opportunities because of this rule, but they will be there when I'm ready, in due time.
wow, that was a pretty big block(s). Over 500K just a few seconds ago bought at Ask.
Quinn, was that you??
here you go Greedy, this is just stocks that I've sold since Sept 1st:
500 shares of APCVZ for .73, paid $1.18
200,000 shares of CENC for .0010, paid .0008
21,350 shares of NUBL for .0165, paid .0145
400,000 shares of MVBY for .0013, paid .0010 and .0012
1,000 shares of NVD for .2916, paid about .73 like 6 months ago
535,800 shares of LCRE for .0015, paid .0011 and .0013
39,000 shares of NUBL for .023, paid .018
Flipped EWRC for no gain
10,000 shares of FHAI for .069, paid .048
flipped OPGX twice for virtually no gain
100,000 shares of LLBO for .0030, paid .0027
flipped EWRC for virtually no gain.
5,000 shares of JEDM for .125, paid .083
This is just in September so far. I go for volume over maximizing profits per transaction. just chipping away little by little.
I've been doing this for almost 1 year now. Initially invested 6,000 and made 9 grand profit. Kept 6K in my account but added more as money became available. I'm now up about 7K on the 20K that I have in the account.
Like I said, still starting out and I've made plenty of mistakes, but I've also had a number of nice purchases.
But I don't care about the corruption, there is still money to be made. They go up, they go down, they go up, etc.
It's all about finding the right entry point, based IMO on price movements.
That's my problem, I do tend to stick with stocks for too long. Granted I also mostly trade low value stocks, but I tend to wait it out, even average down.
It's gotten me into trouble here and there but I've also caught that bounce plenty of times and got out with a profit.
ACER,
Your best bet for honest answers to these questions is to call up BEHL, talk to someone there. Most people here can only speculate.
The 2 best moves I made were 5k FDX @ $36 and 5k DOW @ $8.79
but my question is about your OTHER moves. surely not everything you've touched has turned to gold?
So you're saying that you timed everything perfectly?
You NEVER bought a stock that went down pretty significantly, specifically last year?
that's a bit far fetched, no?
What do you know about NUBL... is this another scam? They;ve projected $.10 on numerous occassions. Sometimes it works and the stock went up nicely, other times the market ignored it. This time it got up to 6 cents and is back in the 4's now. Based on history, it seems like this will drop probably tomorrow or Friday, right back down to the 1-2 cent range.
And tell us all, oh wise Greedy, what great stock buys did you have last year? What was your ROI?
On a side note, what do you think of NUBL, is it a scam? Seriously.
CBAI getting good hits on the ASK.
That's why the argument is moot at this point. You will simply make excuses for the examples and try to say they aren't deceiving to you who believes in BEHL and will defend their actions regardless.
How is this different then what you've been saying about BEHL? Is your "definition" always correct? Do you think that this is being hypocritical?
I guess you choose not to truly and honestly answer my question, that does not surprise me in the slightest bit. good job!
nice try, Greedy!!
Your first example was the SHO list, which is a technicality.
Your second example was a lack of filing requirements.
That was just answered late last night by posting financials. This is a step in the right direction, is it not?
I am STILL waiting for a legitimate way that Dennis has deceived BEHL investors. Can you show this or not?
...tic, toc, tic toc...
woohoo, Greedy has decided to ignore my questions entirely. That's what I figured!
