Don: You figure they'll be knocking down our door with bags full of money like the Brits? British Intelligence might have got the Africa thing wrong, but they were dead right about you-know-what and you-know-who. IMO, of course!
IMO, Snaper has given very few reason to cast doubt on his name. I would suspect that he is much more interested in the Propless Wind Technology than the stiffs. Maybe the owner of the company is one of his old buddies or something. We have but a single nemesis to reckon with here and it's not Snaper.
Yesterday was a very good day -- we didn't hit a new 52 week low. Can we make it two days in a row? Whooee, heady stuff. Thanks, Elbee. You are one great man!
When this new "visionary" blows into town, I wonder if we can plan some sort of teleconference. If he can tell me which slot machine is going to hit big at Foxwoods, I'll forget all about Elbee and his excellent adventure. Maybe which store is going to produce the next Powerball winner -- that could be nice too. I'm afraid us long-time visionaries can see where this is headed with the putz-di-tutti-putz in charge, tho.
Elbee should bail while he's at the top (?) of his game.
530i:
I'd be careful about buying in just yet, Ken. Alvin Snaper (one P) is a force to be reckoned with, for certain and the technology has always been more-or-less accepted as some pretty fine stuff. Our problem, as you have aptly described, is the shirtsleeves guy. In this instance, the dude's name is Lee Balak (Elbee for short). Run a "Google" on Lee Balak and you'll find an unremarkable background with some scrapes with the SEC. In addition, Mr. Snaper has a warrant out for his arrest for paying his rent on Snaper's building with rubber. Our shirtsleeves guy has been working (?) for six years now trying to get someone, anyone, interested.
Please, prior to purchasing, run that Google.
I don't think there ARE any Wolf bashers, Tex, other than Mr. Cash Cow himself. I can't remember anybody unhappy with his brief takeover, could be wrong. I suspect he's waiting in the wings to bring some pressure to bear when and if he can, though.
Don -- Yep, I folla (Robert Shaw, "The Sting"). Even his staunchest supporters have got to be wondering -- especially when they figure the dough down the commode (or Ferrari gas tank).
MLF:
You couldn't be more accurate regarding Pete's latest note. Hell, he even had to go through and brush it up to make it look as bad as it did. Can you imagine? A freaking "visionary" is coming to town. No doubt with pockets full of cash like the last two. I'll give you "visionary". How's this -- who was the first to raise the red flag several years ago by bailing out of the "OBC" due to the "envisioned" inability of Elbee to get out of his own way? I've always thought that the greatest problem facing investors was Elbee, but I'm beginning to wonder if maybe the entire technology is suspect. Too many people have kicked the tires and gone away never to return. There's nothing to say that just because this is Snaper's brainchild that it HAS to work. Maybe he just flat missed on this one. One thing's for sure, though -- with Elbee at the rudder, we'll never know. Sure wish he'd hold another of those phone conferences. I'll bet money he'd get a bigger audience this time.
Bob -- say it ain't so! Drop in from time to time just to kibbitz, otay?
OT -- especially for you golfers -- Here's a little gem that was brought to my attention yesterday -- WGFL. Check it out. MIght be a damned sight more promising than a certain battery stock we're all becoming very jaundiced on.
OT -- Tex. Yeah, I've been on that trip 5 times over the years and it is just the most spectacular of trips, for sure. I've always ponied up the extra dough for the parlor car (the Alamosa) which provides a better and less crowded view. Been to Mesa Verde an equal number of times. Seems to me that the ruins have had many, many scrapes with fire over the years. I remember seeing reports from there last year as well. The most spectacular of the ruins can't be damaged too badly, they're all solid rock to begin with.
Hope to go back there with all my PWTC profits one of these days. LOL on the outside -- NOT on the inside.
OT -- Tex, is the Durango to Silverton running with those dry conditions?
Wow! The Bid/Ask this AM is .035/.042. Thanks, Elbee!
Right on, Breeze!
Riddle for the Day:
I added the last part myself.
What is greater than God, more evil than the devil, the poor have it, the rich want it, if you eat it you'll die, and Elbee has delivered it?
Petross, it's fairly apparent that civil isn't one of your favorite terms. In addition to something you don't understand, it is comprised of more than a single syllable Further, your "style" is more than a little familiar. Pennypete, perchance? You smell blood on the water and would love nothing better than a good feeding frenzy. The feeding and frustration has been going on long before your arrival, we don't need your brand of crap. So, keep it civil or find your posts in the scrap-heap.
Petross1 -- I would respectfully ask that you maintain some degree of civility when dealing with fellow shareholders. Their opinion is no less important to them as your is to you. They do not deserve being spat upon in addition to the pasting we're taking. I refer specifically to your launch against the rooster.
therooster: Congratulations, old timer. I would venture a guess that you've got your $2.00 Marriage License fee's worth. Great going!
dfh: Don, you remember some time back when there was a heap of concern over someone holding a $700k "payable on demand" note? Don't suppose the demand has taken place, do you? I wonder what Elbee, errrrr, WE got for that original 700 large. There's more than one way to capitalize on a situation other than selling one's own shares, if you get the drift.
Elbee hasn't sold a single share. Doesn't have to. Why kill the cow when you can have the milk for free? IMO, of course!
Well, peep, I didn't "off" you this time, but only because someone beat me to it. You know when you're typing that crap that it's going to irritate people, so why do you do it? I think you talk to hear yourself sometimes. I'd like to force a shareholders meeting just to get a peek at who's behind those awful posts.
All right, I'll bite. Who WON? Damned if I won. My net worth is down another penny a share. At least I don't feel as if I won. Did anyone here win? You can't enter, Elbee. We KNOW you won!
mlf -- check your mailbox.
mlf -- I'm sorry, that last post re: IMDS was directed to you.
krw: I took a small position in IMDS late last week. Without holding you to anything, can you tell me what the typical peaks and valleys are with the trading? Thanx.
PS -- GONNA get ugly? Hell, it's BEEN ugly since the great failed purge attempt by WM.
Bushel basket's gone -- free-fall in the works. Thanks, Elbee, ye who wouldn't be a pimple on a real man's butt without benefit of having lucked into a meeting with a kindly, albeit naive, Alvin Snaper. You are a genuine captain of industry!
mlf -- LOL -- Here's hoping the deal wasn't with Saddam's lovely kids. They aren't coming down for breakfast in the morning.
Peep -- Make no mistake, my comments are IMO, based on observation and my guts. Hasher is certainly not my brother, although I do like the man and trust that the information he disseminates is as trustworthy as the original author (Elbee). If all those shares last week and this were just being dumped onto the market, there aren't enough longs in the world to capture and keep them safe thereby maintaining the price. No, there was some sort of bushel basket under those shares in order to keep the price where it was. IMO, whoever was holding the basket had visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads. Methinks those plums are shortly changing to prunes!
The post that included all those old PR's was like a walk down memory lane, wasn't it? Those and many others are the reasons most are still here, waiting -- hoping. Unfortunately, Elbee was at the root of every one of those releases which, by the by, went absolutely nowhere. Who in their right mind could blame Snaper for being pissed at Elbee, the Pee Wee Herman of businessmen?
Whoever it was that scooped all those shares recently due to another of Elbee's smoke sessions is going to be smelling a rat probably fairly shortly. When the whiff becomes a stench, the free-fall will begin. Elbee has GOT to go. The sooner the better. Failing that, this company has had the meat.
I'll tell you, Elbee, whoever it is you sweet-talked into buying all these shares had better have a real good sense of humor -- you know, like all of us poor chumps here -- cuz he just might come looking for your knees when the smoke you blew dissipates like all of your other smoke signals.
One of the paragraphs regarding Mr. Farrill reads:
>>Raghu Kilambi commented, "I am very pleased to have Mr. Farrill on our board of directors. Bryson was an outside director in my last company, Futurelink, and was an instrumental advisor as we raised in excess of $200 million of capital and completed eight significant acquisitions."<<
Golly, all we need is a lousy couple of mil. I wonder why the gent can't assist us in the same fashion.
preamp -- You really hit the head on TWO counts with that post, old buddy. There is ALWAYS something going on that we don't know about. That's about the only sure thing to count on with this co. Second, Elbee's buddies certainly do have the dope.
Iceberg dead ahead! Hard to starboard!!
I have thoroughly mixed emotions regarding all this volume. Is there any way it can be a BAD thing, I wonder. Only if whoever is accumulating is doing so on another Elbee fiction novel.
POB: I spoke with Hasher last week, I believe. He reports, basically, what Elbee tells him. Hell, he doesn't have any other sources to go with anyway. As always, the usual caveats are in place when the reports are sent out.
Something he said regarding the last "walk through" by the latest potential partner was that Elod Gyenge is no longer with BCRI. He has evidently accepted a professorship with a college up there. Also, on the day of the meeting, the other guy, Jung, who is highly knowledgeable with the battery, was also not available. I think he got married.
So, how impressive were the ones that were left to these guys? Today's volume tells me someone is impressed with SOMETHING. But, why -- with all that volume -- is the ASK stuck at 6.9 cents? More party favors, perhaps?
Best regards,
Millo: It will only appear to be positive if someone with deep pockets agrees with you and shells out some dough. We've been bombarded with "positive" PR's and rumors for years now. What's more bothersome though, is the fact that they buyers keep coming -- they speak with "management", look at some carefully prepared papers, kick the tires and then go away -- never to be heard from again. Kinda like the animals marching up the gangway to the ark -- only this time there's a back door and they march right back down again. Am thinking that our "product" might not be what we are hoping it to be.
Hock, I got a call from the Birdster just a week or so ago. It was the first I had hear from him in some time. All is well with him. He still dabbles in the stock market but not nearly as much as he once did (ain't that the truth for all of us?). He asked me what was happening with Power to which I gave him a totally unbiased (LOL) sketch as to our many trials and tribulations. He also informed me that (gasp) he STILL hasn't received his certificate for the shares in the MikroDry investment. Now THERE'S a shock! He didn't mention anything about his knee that was so badly infected at one time, so I've got to assume that it's okay now. All in all, he sounded like the same old Birdy.
More when it comes available.
teemer: lol, I have no doubt but what he's "trying" which takes some effort. The end result though, is a big, fat goose egg. Please don't mis-read me, good sir, I am not switching camps and will be pleased to purchase the rope for the necktie party if it comes to pass. The key to highlighting absurdity is to illustrate absurdity WITH absurdity -- which is why I used the must absurd character I could come up with. Chriminy, did that make any sense? lol
"I'm sure that it's my fault that we still don't have a battery."
You're not being blamed for anything other than having no class, Tex. Elbee is not the favorite character on many of our plates but I'll bet he's more popular than are YOU! As much as I despise the man, I'd put his efforts many notches higher than your crying and border-line slander any day.
There's nothing -- NOTHING -- that you can possibly say that hasn't been said before. Your repetitious, ad nauseum statements indicate that you have a firm grip on the obvious.
Trust me when I tell you, this board is not going to turn into another e-Y bitch session.
Tex -- your hyperbole is getting dicier all the time. Please tone it down or run the risk of being censored. Nasty word, censorship. Necessary sometimes, though. Please note, I said "please".
Hmmmmm. Who to believe. Who to believe. Alvin Snaper with credentials up the ying yang or our beloved Elbee with a real sketchy past including a scrape with the SEC. Hmmmmm. I give up. Too cerebral for me.
chet-the-jet: There's your answer in a couple of the preceeding posts -- the longs keep on adding. Are they right in their belief that Elbee will take us to the promised land? Only time will tell. Even the ultra-faithful have their breaking point and when and if they quit covering the sell-off, even Ray Charles can see what will take place. I would feel a lot more warm and fuzzy if Wolf and Snaper were still in positions of strength with the company. Imagine, a man with Snaper's credentials bailing out on his own invention! Speaks volumes for me! How many times have we heard: "Tomorrow" or "Next week" or "Next month" or "Right after their big meeting"? Now that the market is making some sort of turn-around, even it will no longer be an excuse for lack of funding, fairly shortly, I would hope.
