OT:: Hog.. I have to check with my scottrade account... I wasn't aware that DAT was available for stock ex. I thought it was forex specific... You must be margined for dat, is that correct.
That really is the best way to go.
thanks S5
Sure... Tfn is the real deal in Canada, I want it in the states...
Snow is great, otherwise it's tough going downhill on grass with skis.
Nealgault IS a nice person!
BkmpisaposandIwishitwasn'tattachedtoTfn!!
nuts...... almost made it through a whole post.
sorry art, I tried.....
S5
OT:: to nealgalt... It's difficult enough traversing Ihub bkmp thread with HrHr rhetoric spam, do you really feel it necessary to spam the spam on other boards? I've really tried to understand the reason for the reposts, but I didn't make any connections.
I can only reason that there is a relationship between posters.
Which is fine I guess and you do reference the original board. I even seen reposts on Spanish forum boards...
As I focus more on the post and less the poster, when I see something that jumps up at me, I can't help but ask about it.
S5
keep the 9600 baud modem, it's still faster than your apple.
S5
(edit)sorry - not to Len.
OT:: for a poster who's been here a year and a half, he don't know much do he!
Also, why do people say they've been good when the thread is archived and people can go back and see how good they haven't been! arggg
okay, sorry enough of my clutter... I don't have an Ihub question!
man, these new quicktime ads are killing me.

Last OT post about Vista, since this isn't a Vista thread, even though it's so damn interesting....
A snip from this link is informative...
http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/pubs/vista_cost.html
In July 2006, Cory Doctorow published an analysis of the anti-competitive nature of Apple's iTunes copy-restriction system which looked at the benefits of restrictive DRM for the company that controls the DRM. The only reason I can imagine why Microsoft would put its programmers, device vendors, third-party developers, and ultimately its customers, through this much pain is because once this copy protection is entrenched, Microsoft will completely own the distribution channel. In the same way that Apple has managed to acquire a monopolistic lock-in on their music distribution channel (an example being the Motorola ROKR fiasco, which was so crippled by restrictions that a Fortune magazine senior editor reviewed it as the STNKER), so Microsoft will totally control the premium-content distribution channel. In fact examples of this Windows content lock-in are already becoming apparent as people move to Vista and find that their legally-purchased content won't play any more under Vista (the example given in the link is particularly scary because the content actually includes a self-destruct after which it won't play any more, so not only do you need to re-purchase your content when you switch from XP to Vista, but you also need to re-purchase it periodically when it expires. In addition and since the media rights can't be backed up, if you experience a disk crash you get another opportunity to re- purchase the content then). It's obvious why this type of business model makes the pain of pushing content protection onto consumers so worthwhile for Microsoft since it practically constitutes a license to print money.
So not only will Microsoft be able to lock out any competitors, but because they will then represent the only available distribution channel they'll be able to dictate terms back to the content providers whose needs they are nominally serving in the same way that Apple has already dictated terms back to the music industry: Play by Apple's rules, or we won't carry your content. And as the example above shows, they'll also be able to dictate terms to consumers in order to ensure a continual revenue flow. The result will be a technologically enforced monopoly that makes their current de-facto Windows monopoly seem like a velvet glove in comparison [Note K].
a side note from me... I've just read from different sources that refers to a past articles about Gates bragging about being on the inside of DRM issues with meetings with Sony and others... this appears to be very self interest posturing by Mr Gates...
S5
Microsoft might have invented mass beta testing via the internet.
Imagine the money saved by having all of us tell them how to correct their software. I'm not sure, but I don't believe Microshit has ever brought a completed piece of software to market that didn't need a patch.
But, part of that is brought on by themselves with the mantra that windows will run with everything.. that sounds great on paper, but to expect one OS to work with every single driver out there is monumental to say the least. I even believe that 3rd party companies CAN try a little harder to work with OS's instead of cheap coding themselves as well.
But with Vista... the most BS will be with the encrypted stuff you buy or download from Media moguls. That's who shoving this crap down Microsoft's and others throats too.
time will tell as usual. Let's all do the beta boogey!
S5
Thanks Web... you know all, but tell nothing...
why do you even take the time to tease on Ihub?
No need to answer, I don't care, just asked out loud.
But if one is allowed to predict, then I have some predictions for the board..
SPEC SPEC SPEC ................
Bkmpp prf'd should be reversed by end of this Feb. min 10000 to 1 - max 50000 to 1 (I have absolutely no doubt Bkmpp will be reversed as Sandy even mentions it.)
There should be a PR/Filing stating that the preferred shares will not pay cash dividend payments at this time or in the future. (company wants to keep cash for growth)
The Bkmpp shares should have a trading value of .0001-.00001 if lucky.
EXTREME SPEC
The bkmp common shares may be reversed as well within the next 2 or 3 months combined with some sort of merger or new name of bkmp/tfn. Good chance Bkmp shares won't carry over to new companies.
Synopsis: Since no company cash dividend payments the only way to make profit is to trade away preferred shares. In my scenario ... 100 billion shares R/S'd to 10,000,000 via 10000 to 1 @ .0001 is $1,000.00, sadly, I'm not getting rich any time soon with that PPS.
Truly... GLTA
S5
Will you people please quit CURSING at everybody...
oops, I went ot on ot... again...
sorry couldn't help it.
S5
Actually Berge... it's called marketing. New stuff for new money!! .... or in Microsoft's case, someone else's coding for new money....
S5
Concerning the Dish/Tfn rumor ... CNN bought up CourtTV a short time ago... pay structure disagreements with CNN and Direct TV have been causing program restructuring and grief. I sub contract with CourtTV and heard on the vine that CNN may have wanted more money.
It's all about the bennies... (not beanies)
Tfn connection is pure speculation from what I can research at this time, but that was in the am. 2-1-07 so things may have changed.
The ongoing new stuff for TFN is great... but doesn't do squat for my Bkmp shares as yet... I believe that there still is too big a dis-connect between bkmp and TFN ... Tfn needs to place a bigger presence on it's website for Bkmp, I think I've seen a little dinky line at the bottom for investor relations... but not sure.

Dell wouldn't still be around if they weren't doing something right..
Yea, Matt your not going to be able to watch your chili dog-bean ball exercise dvds in HI-def if you copied them from your Aunt,
as well, because of the DRM ...
Notice; I said watch ... !
S5
let's not rub it in... always someone has bought higher and lower.!!
I was always told & researched it isn't easy getting filled at .0001 because MM's need a spread and .00005 to .0001 doesn't always happen due to shortage of shares.
So, congrats to anyone hitting that number...
Been in gwgo since Africa holdings... received 2 div's from Axtell, so I at least feel 50/50 about what's his name inventing more companies to spin us off to. What the hell, it's cheap right now. For some stupid reason, this stock is the only penny I haven't flipped all along...albeit-small gains ... I have no idea why...!

S5
Okay, last off topic thing about the off topic thing...
perhaps admin, staff, mods... look at something and think .:
If I take this post off I'm going to get 10 posts worth of grief but if I leave it I'll get maybe 2 posts of grief ... so hell with it, it's staying. I think this is possible as well.
So, it's like .. okay, I'll let S5 say this last thing and maybe he'll shut up and go to bed or something....because if I delete him, he'll NEVER shut UP. See?
G'night... time for me to SHUT UP!
S5
OT:: I agree with that again.. maybe that is where I should hang out more. Parking lot, etc...
One thing I've noticed about any forum site, is people have a tendency to smoosh everything or subjects together.. kind of like I'm doing right now. Even the OT doesn't mean anything when we do this. I'm not sure how to get this out of peoples brains. We come to this thread with good intentions to stay o.t., then we backslide.
S5
Point taken. But I don't think that's how the heiarchy works on Ihub. Any board has a person who the majority of the time started the board, is the Moderator. The Mod regulates the board within guidelines, the assistant mods also regulate in some way as well. If there is a problem it is directed to Admin who has the final decision period. So I see it as... problem poster > assistant mod > board mod > assist admin > Head honcho Admin ==POOF. If this is accurate, then all these are humans with different brains.. (maybe except for RoboMatt) ... so do you see the openings for human perception interplay? I do.
The guidelines and rules set the standard ... but that never stopped human beings before....
If everybody zombied to the rules... we would be staring at each others sig's. Whoop de doo.
Unfortunately, I have no idea if I even stayed close to your point, so I'm sorry.
S5
Capitalist... I agree to a point about posts. But I have always argued that useless is in the eyes of the beholder... who is to judge what is crap and what is 'good'. It's subjective and speculative. We are human beings with different ideas and perspectives and your idea of dog poo may be my idea of great fertilizer. I'd rather wade through stuff than force my idealisms on other people. I don't think everybody is going to be happy all the time.
But perhaps a pooper scooper would be appropriate.
S5
OT:: naaaa. It doesn't matter to me which one you are.
the board will survive one way or another
I imagine... What bothers me is the stupid crazy monetary lost revenues the industry makes up... billions, how they come up with these numbers is insane. I guess they count every human being then multiply that by 5 friends they think are going to get free copies and double that just to be safe and say thats what they lose in non sales.....just nuts.
A huge part of drm problems are the cheap program codings between different devices and drivers, etc. One example is certain sony dvd players... not only does it take forever for the dvd to load all of the crypto crap, if it senses illegal dvd, it stops the player from playing that media, it has been shown that the drm doesn't release the player to play a correct or proper disc after that. I may be incorrect here, but I think it's like the drm unloads a driver within the player system, but doesn't reload, or remount the driver... something like that...
All I ever wanted to do is make one backup copy for myself and put the original away. Games most definitly.
S5
OT:: I wonder what's the deal with the yolo/scott thing.
Maybe the nic just got old or something.
Could even be a new leaf. We all need changes sometimes..
Glta
S5
That is correct, and I said encrypted copyrighted media. If you ripped something off the net, it was most likely copyrighted and had embeds anyways so yes, absolutely there will be issues with anything distributed in the wild. The mass media folks have been busy adding drm to even cable specifications... the record companies and other distro's want piracy covered from purchase to eyeballs even at your tv set home theater...anywhere the sellers think you can insert a device has some sort of drm now.
UNfreakingba-lievable ...
Inasmuch that you obviously hate Vista ... I don't want Vista either... It should be noted that a good portion of DRM (digital rights management) that Vista has is to protect media that is encrypted copyrighted outside source, such as anything music, video ... well, actually anything by the recording industry for starters... Technically, MSFT says users not downloading copyrighted encrypted media have nothing to fear about rights.
Of course this is MSFT stating this.
I think this site --> GRC.com's Security Now pages are the best around describing MSFT shenanigans... I am not associated with this site and I very very rarely ever suggest sites except for stocks and info thereof, but this site is informative to the max.
additional edit( I also wish I had a ton of legitimate XP os's because if Vista is as bad as it looks, XP os is going to be horded something fierce.)
S5
So, with all the little hints, are you people saying that Australia is a bigger market for Tfn than USA at this time... I think Tfn succeded in Canada but too bad we have bkmp between us and Tfn.
Why the hell can't Tfn be public!!
S5
OT:: but Ihub wipes out all your past posts and name reference??
S5
OT: In response to the R/S question... from my direct experience in getting reversed to death... most of the events have happened on fridays or the day before a weekend holiday usually with no announcement or a pr after 2:45pm of the day before the reverse. This appears to be a deliberate move on the part of the pinkie CEO's. Perhaps to give them time to do whatever they need do, or to prevent we shareholders from flooding the market trying desperately to dump our shares...
Otc/pink historical have shown over 75% of sub and pennie stock that reverses falls back or even below the original pre reverse price. IMO - I haven't seen small shareholders ever make out with a sub pennie reverse split. Not that it doesn't happen.
I'm more likely to get hit with a meteorite than make out big with a reverse split especially if the old stock doesn't get rolled into the new stock........
S5
OT:: When one changes their name, do they have a choice or do they have to remove their old name all the way back to who knows where?
I don't think a freebie or non mod member can do that.
Just interesting to think about it.
HrHr .. what's up with the CAps On ANd Off….??? I know - it's subliminal hinting.
Bkmp people should try and keep all options open. Sandy did state in a pr that the Pref'ds should be R/S'd. I don't doubt this won't happen soon. Sandy has a history of R/S's … and
has never shied away from R/S commons as well. No clue about what Sandy intends with bkmp common… I don't have maintenance friends in stocks so I won't make unsubstantiated predictions on common shares.
Right now the only to make any gains with Bkmp is selling small pips for small gains which add up.
The PPs isn't making us money on it's own at this time…BUT, if you can survive a small R/S of say 1000 to 1, and manage to have a few hundred grand in shares, sometimes can make good gains with the new jump in price, before it comes back down… BUT IF…(1) you have 100's of thousands after split… and BIG (2) the old stock name is rolled into the new company some way… most of pinks change name and old stock is worthless….this is every day at least in the otc/pinks.
An R/S, as distasteful and damaging to the small shareholders in sub pennies as they are…. can still give you some cash. IF you don't fear it and hide in the sand….
Bkmp holders … never say never !! protect your interests….
the proceeding message was brought to you by S5, no touts, no other board address link… never a exact date, time or pps ever given….. Do your own DD.
S5
OT:: Paulie, you have a way with words that are at once in-descript yet strangely inexplicably sensual.....
also, I joined the Michigan chapter of FFA ...
Forum Fruitcakes Anonymous
It's a great comfort.
S5
Yes. And that would include your sig as well. At least you try hard not to tout that stock though. I guess that's where the fine line gets crossed. Sometimes I just click on certain people or subjects in the message list only to find it's a stock tout that wasn't in the first sentence.
It's hard enough on this board to stay focused and decipher bkmp - Tfn stuff without the noise...
glta
S5
WEBPRODS... you have been spamming too many other stocks on this Bkmp/Tfn board and by advertising your stock site may or may not be Ihub proper rules.
Putting up with the touting is bad enough but combined with your signature that happens to have those stocks on your site is a fine line.
As it appears that your predictions (as anyone else's) are permissible, I respectfully request that you reduce OT touts.
thanks for all you do.
(added edit) Gee, Harry, I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed '''Brian.
S5
I'm not trying to come off way negative here, but from direct experience at work then at one of my best friends new house set-up.
AT&T incredulously gave the same explanation to my IT dept manager (he was my partner in our league this past summer) AND my friend when very similar network devices went wonky... since it wasn't their equipment (but what was recommended by their installers as the certified devices for AT&T network solutions.....) IT WASN'T THEIR RESPONSIBILITY but the device manufacturer's problem... it couldn't possibly be the AT&T install or owned equipment or lines.
I came away with a not so confident and loving experience with AT&T...
Warning... some peoples experience will differ... maybe for the better-... even.
Sorry, I can't be more helpful.
Good Luck
S5
FF..I knew your into fishing, but didn't know you made your own rods... very cool. I'm in Michigan and do freshwater... Made my own 9 1/2 Steelhead rod, but I managed to make the ugliest buttwrap you ever saw.... I was at a boat show with it (casting contest) and one of the judges looked at it and said beautiful build ... but if your colorblind you really should have someone else pick out the colors.... I couldn't stop laughing for a long time.... It's on my wall because after 30 years it finally succumbed to one last steely..........
S5
BB52.. Most phone companies, wait, I think there is only one company now...at&t... when a tech recommends equipment it usually means that's the stuff they are re-selling to you or have a vendor pay back contract with... It's not always in your best interests. It's always about their bottom line. In my biz (broadcast TV production) the larger companies force the cheapest equipment to the end users within liabilities laws...
It never hurts to do some research and shop around.
S5
I can only think of a couple reasons why you don't see ads as a freebie.... you have all javascript and activeX turned off and or you're using Firefox with adblock.
Otherwise, don't tell admin ...
S5
If you read the bkmp connection backwards like we do with real estate property descriptions ex: 1/4 of 1/4 of ne 1/4 of nw half....
so that would be Private company Tfn is wholly owned by private blackout communications which has a 20% partnership with public Blackout Media Corp. Maybe this might help some with the frustration of figuring bkmp holdings out.
When I look at it this way, I can see the vague dis-connect feeling I get about Bkmp.
Or not.
S5
Sorry, wasn't trying to be smartazz. Actually, I'm usually on top of the malware crap, so I learned something new. You have reason to believe that a 'blank IE addy" virus exists. I believe you. Here is a interesting website to check out, and read the 'security now' shows listing. --> grc.com I'm not afiliated or paid in any way with this site, but it has a driven guy who owns the site.
Read about ActiveX and scripting involvement with virus/spyware as well
..speaking about bloat... the newer quicktime player ads on Ihub are just dragging my connection down terribly. Well, can't complain too much, I'm a freebie.
good luck

Evening Moo. Yes, it's buying on the dips and selling higher. The thing is even small gains add up eventually. As long as a stock has a perceivable pulse, you should be able to make some cash... small gains are better than small losses.
S5
I know it's late, but Moo, what's so funny about making money...?
and you're right... can't prove it one way or another.
well, it is a forum board after all.
