Amfil Technologies Inc. Announces 3 New US Based Snakes & Lattes Cafe/Bar Locations In Progress and Additional Locations in Planning Stages
The Snakes & Lattes location in Tempe, Arizona opened in October 2018 and has been gaining traction quickly with month over month revenue increases since its official launch, which indicates the region was a great starting point for the US expansion. Now that Tempe is up and running, the Company is pleased to announce that a second location in Arizona is in the final stages of negotiation, potentially opening as soon as spring/summer 2019.
Snakes & Lattes Inc. is pleased to announce that it has selected a venue and received commitment from a joint venture partner, and funder, for a new Snakes & Lattes location in Orlando, Florida. The Company has found a suitable corner unit, in a prime entertainment district which has become available and the Company is in the process of firming up this location. Further details regarding this location will be provided prior to the end of this month.
As previously announced, a JV partner and funder have been secured to open a Snakes & Lattes location in Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally, we had selected a potential location, however since then 2 additional locations have become available which management felt were potentially more suitable for a Snakes & Lattes café. Ben Castanie and Aaron Zack have travelled from Toronto and will be arriving in Charlotte this Thursday, January 10th, 2019 to view all three potential locations alongside the JV partner and funder, to ascertain which location would be most ideal for the café given the target demographic and business specific criteria to ensure the business’s success.
Assuming all goes as planned and the locations are secured, the company expects to begin construction on these 3 additional cafes this spring, bringing the total number of Snakes & Lattes locations operational or under construction from 4 to 7 within the first half of 2019.
Additionally, the company continues to pursue a number of locations to increase café openings for 2019 even further. As previously mentioned, the company already has a partner and funder prepared to open a location in Denver, Colorado as soon as an appropriate location becomes available.
... We have the same situation in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Furthermore, the Company is currently negotiating with funders and/or potential landlords in 17 other US cities which are at earlier stages of the development process.
Since the successful launch of the first US based location in Tempe, AZ, it appears that 3 additional US based locations are likely to begin construction very soon, and as 2019 progresses that number could increase significantly.
The Company looks forward to the continued expansion of its highly popular Snakes & Lattes cafés throughout North America and expects the frequency of new openings to increase continuously for the foreseeable future.
Well well well. Looks like somebody is excited about S&L opening in Charlotte, NC:
Had a great meeting with @Snakesandlattes tonight as they are considering opening a store in Charlotte, NC. I recommended stocking Moon Pies.

Lol, the block that appeared at .083 disappeared real quick lol
The ask is again at .091
Looks like someone misunderstood you. Instead of ask slapping, he was ask selling lmao
(Sorry, sent out my post before finishing)
To finish my idea:
“That is why these JV make so much sense though. The private investor knows how much risk he can take,” and he is the one who bears the initial financial risk.
It is entirely possible that Charlotte will bring in more money than Orlando, but Orlando will probably grant us a lot more exposure.
I am incredibly excited for EVERY new location that we get, but in my opinion, some locations are simply more eye catching than others.
S&L has the great benefit that it attracts both locals and tourists alike.
Every location will bring in another ~$3 - $4 million dollars yearly. As such, EVERY location is incredibly important, especially in this early part of our growth.
That said, as I mentioned before, some locations have an intrinsic importance that other locations simply don’t. In my opinion, tourist heavy locations such as Orlando, Las Vegas, New York, etc etc, have the great benefit of being, precisely, tourist heavy locations.
Are they the best locations just because they are tourist heavy? No. New York for example, might not be the best place to put a S&L in due to how costly the spaces are.
A location which has a moderate/cheap price with a lot of traffic might make a lot more profit than a place with a high price and a lot of traffic.
That is why these JV make so much sense though. The private investor knows how much risk he can take, so
What location? The Orlando one?
I don’t know the exact location. I only know what is stated on the PR. The PR states :
“The Company has found a suitable corner unit, in a prime entertainment district...”
Orlando has many of those.
I don’t understand it either, but I invest because I know this is going to grow, and because I see the growth.
There are too many catalysts to ignore. Or better said, you ignore catalysts at your own risk.
All we need is a few deep pockets for this to skyrocket, and I am pretty sure we will get them soon enough.
Why?
Because if a relatively unknown brand can get 17 investors ready to dish out $450k to $750k to open a location, there will be some people who will see this as a great opportunity to buy stock from.
This! So much this!
Snakes&Lattes is known very well in its niche, which is the boardgaming world.
However it is still a “new brand” in the USA, and as such it faces the same problem that every new brand has. Exposition.
A location in a tourist heavy area helps in this area, because social media is a thing. Many new posts will be made by people going to S&L. This will draw a lot of attention from many more people, and once these tourists go home, they will want to repeat the experience in their hometown.
Yes, many new board game cafes will open, but none of them is Snakes&Lattes.
This is going to be HUGE
I’m incredibly excited for the Orlando one:
“The Company has found a suitable corner unit, in a prime entertainment district which has become available and the Company is in the process of firming up this location.”
“Prime entertainment district”. That to me means tourism.
Tourism to me means new eyes.
New eyes to me means exposition, in a new market.
Exposition of a brand, in a new market to me means growth.
Growth to me means money!
2016 = 2 locations
2017 = 3 locations
2018 = 4 locations
2019 = 7 + locations
Notable quotes of the last PR:
“Additionally, the company continues to pursue a number of locations to increase café openings for 2019 even further.”
“As previously mentioned, the company already has a partner and funder prepared to open a location in Denver, Colorado as soon as an appropriate location becomes available.”
“... Fort Collins, Colorado. The funder has provided confirmation of intent to fund and is ready to go as soon as a suitable venue can be secured.”
“Furthermore, the Company is currently negotiating with funders and/or potential landlords in 17 other US cities which are at earlier stages of the development process.”
Goooooooooooooood Morning Vietnammmm!!
I don’t know about you, but im excited as heck!
Why? Cause this is the first time we see multiple Snakes&Lattes locations opening at the same time!
Roger said this would one day happen and it did!
Guys, we really gotta put thing’s perspective here...
Come mid year, heck, by the end of this year we will have almost almost double the amount of locations that we had in 2018.
But wait, there is more!
There are currently 17 investors ready to pull the trigger if the right circumstances come up...
Now, it would be too naive to hope that all of those 17 locations will be worked on this year.... but do O think that we may see maybe one or 2 more locations by the end of this year? That is possible!
Building 3 locations in one year is really good! Building 4 or 5 would be amazing!!
With 7 locations each moving about $3 million (conservative estimate)per year = $21 mill
8 locations x $3mill = $24 mill
9 locations x $3 mill = $27 mill
But wait, there is more!
The above estimates consider ONLY retail. They do not consider distribution, which is a HUGE part of the business, and currently distribution is ONLY being worked on in Canada!
One of the goals for 2019 (as stated in previous PR) is to bring distribution stateside!
Do you see where I am going with this?
But wait there is more!
2019 is the year where we finally publish our own games! 3 of them! That is 3 chances to bring in extra money! What if ANY of them becomes a hit?
But wait! There is more!!
The audit will be completed this year as well!
I really gotta go now, but I’m excited!!
How long did Tempe take?
I think that once construction begins, the process could take from 3-4 months.
I guess it all depends when the construction begins. If it starts in February - March, we could see a new opening from August - September.
Things are heating up!
That is even better than I thought! Thanks for the correction :)
Today’s PR was huge. Make no mistake:
1. Tempe has been a success and that is demonstrated both on the revenue increases month to month, and on the fact that there is going to be ANOTHER location in AZ by mid year.
2. Orlando is going to be HUGE for S&L in a way that other cities can’t be. The fact that it is such a tourist heavy area means that the CONCEPT, the IDEA, and (perhaps more importantly) the BRAND will see new eyes exponentially. We are talking about hundreds of new eyes each month! Visibility will be huge! And at this point, where a new brand is entering a new market, visibility is one of the most important factors needed for growth.
The Orlando announcement really gets me excited. Orlando is a tourist heavy location. Many people will get to live the Snakes experience and then travel back to their own country/state and ask themselves: why don’t we have a S&L here?
Can’t respond to private messages, but the JV has to make sense for both parties right? The investor isn’t going to put up the money for free, he/she will want to recuperate the investment and make money. The way to do so is by splitting the profits. Maybe it won’t necessarily be 50-50, I guess that depends on the agreement. But yea. The investor takes the financial risk, the company manages day to day, profit is split amongst the investor and the company.
Still, 7 locations by mid year. 3 are wholly company owned. 3 x 4 mill revs = $12mill
The next 4 will be JV. 4 x $2mill (50% due to joint venture) = $8 mill
So in locations in themselves we will have about $20 mill in revenue.
This is NOT considering either distribution or publishing. And distribution is currently non existent in the USA.
The next big project of the company (as stated in a previous PR) is to replicate the (ENORMOUS) success that the distribution branch has had in Canada in the USA.
Plus publishing...
Plus EcoGro3...
Plus NSI
Completely agree. The result of choosing the right location makes or breaks a business. These are the results of choosing the right location:
“The Snakes & Lattes location in Tempe, Arizona opened in October 2018 and has been gaining traction quickly with month over month revenue increases since its official launch, which indicates the region was a great starting point for the US expansion.”
“Now that Tempe is up and running, the Company is pleased to announce that a second location in Arizona is in the final stages of negotiation, potentially opening as soon as spring/summer 2019.”
That’s not even counting distribution, which is a HUGE part of the business.
It is very likely that many of these cities will hold more than 1 location. Toronto has 3.
I’m sure that Orlando will have more than 1 Snakes&Lattes by the end of 2020
Furthermore, the Company is currently negotiating with funders and/or potential landlords in 17 other US cities which are at earlier stages of the development process. Many of these cities are also just waiting for the right venue to become available, otherwise everything else has been organized. This could happen at any time; however, they have not progressed to that point yet.
“Snakes & Lattes Inc. is pleased to announce that it has selected a venue and received commitment from a joint venture partner, and funder, for a new Snakes & Lattes location in Orlando, Florida. Further details regarding this location will be provided prior to the end of this month.”

Orlando, Florida
2nd location in Arizona
Charlotte, North Carolina
These 3 could open this spring + 17 other locations in the works.

That would be amazing, but I wonder at the speed at which they would be constructed.
Their current method seems to be:
1. Get and investor who is interested to take the financial risk
2. Secure a location
3. Get the official team of S&L to get to the location and train the employees
4. Repeat.
How many official teams can the current structure of S&L organize? I’m thinking 2 at most.
By this I mean that (I think) that even if we got 100 investors all lined up to finance a location, we would (currently) only be able to work them 2 at a time.
Now, this number will grow (exponentially) as the number of locations grow: with 4 locations we can organize 2 teams, with 6 we could get 3, with 9 we could get 5 etc etc.
Of course, those numbers are all made up. I don’t really know how many training teams can be made at the same time. Maybe the proportion is very different. Maybe 4 locations can support 8 teams. I don’t know.
Still, the issue remains the same. The training depends on the company and not the franchisee, so having 100 interested parties does not mean that we can work on the 100 locations at the same time.
Buy now or chase later
Snakes&Lattes expansion is ongoing on the biggest market in the world, but the Snakes brand is also known internationally, having started in Canada and participating in the worlds largest board game conference in the world, located in Germany

It could be a partnership. Not necessarily an acquisition. Remember that the next goal is to expand the distribution branch in the USA
“Commitments received for Snakes & Lattes locations for Charlotte, Fort Collins, Houston, Denver, and two others yet to be announced which are expected to progress in 2019.

Well, that is usually what an “overview” is, a recap. The last PR was meant to showcase the happenings of the company during the previous year, something that would allow both new and old investors a chance to see in one place the many great things done by the company.
As such it was a great PR
The LOI to buy Snakes&Lattes (originally Snakes&Lagers) was signed on April 4th 2016.
Why are you bringing up 2014?
Something becomes your responsibility AFTER you own it, not before. What does 2014 have to do with Amfil Technologies?

This is what happens when we are given something nice to talk about. I hope Roger keeps on bringing the good stuff home
