Some good commentary from Rick Wilson:
Kamala Harris For President
And The Doom of Jeff Bezos

Does the link work for you without your having to sign up?
And speaking of that, it just took five or six seconds for a recent reply--to Paulie--to load. That is VERY slow.
@IH Geek [Meatloaf]
Why thank you, Paulie!! I aim to educate and entertain!
It seems to be better right now. But it's never dependably fast, as it once was.
Thanks. The BlueSky posts seem to be working properly now.
Ahhhh, I see the BlueSky embeds are working properly now.
That's well done.
While there is little doubt that Trump will try and contest an election loss, experts are also nearly certain that he will not succeed. Judges turned away nearly every case Trump filed to try and overturn the election results – 61 in total – and experts expect that they will do so again.
Yes. And the last time, we weren't really expecting those challenges. Not, at least, as many as there were. This time, we're prepared. Marc Elias and others are already involved, ready to act as soon as needed. And they've already developed winning strategies. Trump's people won NONE of the lawsuits they brought in the wake of the 2020 election.
I also wonder what might happen if by some chance Harris were to win big.
And if you missed it, Michelle Obama made a really brilliant speech at Kamala's rally in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Or as some said, Kamalazoo...
Now isn't that interesting...
WTF?? WHAT is wrong with you??
Ooooh, I know! I recognize all of those except for the last, which looks very unpleasant. Moles are sort of cute. Only sort of. Proboscis monkeys are, if you look at them the way they'd like to be looked at, quite serious. And the longer the noses are, the more attractive the guys are to females.
Is the little guy with the big eyes a tarsier?

And we all know or should know naked mole rats. They're the longest-lived very small animal. They live for about 28 to 30 years. And they don't get sick. They just live that long--fertile until the last months of their lives--and then die. That is what we all want, and so they're a subject of great interest.
Even more interesting, they live in societies organized like bees. With a queen and workers and all that.
But the last one I have no clue about.
lol, I know. Those poor fish. I wonder if other fish make fun...
But are they perhaps hollow? That seems a possibility.
And I think it'd be a real pain to be a stag and have antlers that are itchy while they grow, and then fall off every year and you have to go through the whole thing again the next year.
Not to mention the kind of giant antlers moose have...
The Ninja Star toast almost certainly looks MUCH more interesting than it tastes.
The cattle are cool. I wonder what the horns are made of. Odd that they're shaped the way they are.
I don't know. But I think most of the time, his hair covers the quills. Apparently you can pet them, and they enjoy it. I think the quills are mostly from the mid-back to the end of the tail.
And they have the cutest noses.
Nor had I, till I saw Teddy. By accident, thanks to YouTube. Oh wait! Not quite true. Nearly 20 years ago on Pet of the Day I saw one whose owners had found him by the side of a road. He was young. They took him home and raised him. He was also adorable. They fitted him out with a little toolkit, and it was insanely cute. He'd also hold a mug by the handle. They seem to have very agile hands.
The noises they make almost sound like real words.
And here's a compilation of the Best of Teddy!
And here's a compilation of the Best of Teddy!
I think most porcupines aren't as vocal as he is, but those ARE the kinds of noises they make. Which would make you want to talk to them ALL the time!
Check this one out! He's a different kind, from South America, with a prehensile tail:
I don't think so. I live in Pennsylvania, though obviously not in the western part of the state, which is largely Republican, except for Pittsburgh and its immediate suburbs.
But Erie want for Biden last time. And I'm sure everyone likes the nuns. Maloney's name suggests he may be Catholic, so he's got hellfire and brimstone to worry about.
Awwww.... They are heroes.
But don't miss Teddy the porcupine. DAMN, I WANT one!
That is impressive. I'm a total sucker for those animal videos. Have you ever seen Teddy the talking porcupine? Sound up!
Dammit, the video won't play. That could be because of regular Friday night maintenance. But you can watch it here:

Teddy is just adorable.
Ooops! Delete, please. It doesn't work. Though perhaps tomorrow it will.

Eeeeeuuuwww!! Though mantises themselves are pretty creepy. They can and do kill and eat hummingbirds.
But they're cute. I like the way they tilt their little alien heads to look at you if you come across one.
I suspect that will happen at some point. The nuns appear to be... vexed. And I'm sure they're beloved by their community.
Yes. The Trumps are a lovely family. And Donnie's grandfather was a draft dodger in Germany. That's why he immigrated to the States to begin with. And then when he'd made some money, he tried to move back.
But they kicked him out. Unfortunately for us. Friedrich and his family would no doubt have been happy serving Hitler, once the '20s and '30s rolled around.

Assume this Board still loves A.I...
Why? I have no idea why you'd think that.
I agree. One of these days he will, just as he did at his trial. We'll probably see what happened in Traverse City tomorrow on TV.
That is nice, but you should not have talked her out of going right after high school. That was really incredibly selfish.
Kamala says nothing when she talks.
Guess who else says nothing when she talks?
Yes. This is a consistent problem nowadays for some people. But apparently not all. The Geeks haven't figured it out.
This is what the Freep had to say:
https://www.freep.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/10/25/trump-traverse-city-rally-delayed-attendees-leave/75852420007/
Me too.
Tons of people worked their way through university. My father did. My grandfather--mother's father--did.
Oooooh!! He promised them that if they stuck around for another hour or more, they could "see the plane land!"
He really is insane.
Her remark about "small rallies" seems to have worked...
but if I had bean born to rich parents, I could have gone to top university schools—
You could have done that if you'd been SMART. When I went to Wellesley, the school guaranteed every student accepted sufficient financial aid for the student to attend. There were plenty of people there from poor families.
The same was true of some of the Ivies. You'd have had an advantage, since not all that many people from Montana applied, and "geographic distribution" was something the schools looked for. No one I knew at Wellesley was from Montana, but I'm sure there were at least a few.
Isn't it a hoot?
Yes. I suspect the Maloney guy may end up wishing he'd been a child oblate in an order that practices silence.
You are STILL NOT PAYING ATTENTION. The woman's experience needn't have been as traumatic--physically and psychologically--as it was, had not you and your fellow Republicans voted for Trump and, in her state, DeSantis, who is just as evil.
