ANTP, what are we missing here?
They announced termination of the merger b/w them and YDI wireless on 11-18, since them ANTP has rocketed from ~5 bucks and at last look at the ticker it was at $39.48! It's chart is vertical since the announcement.
I know it's a low O/S, but what justifies the current incredible rise (which doesn't seem to stop) and market cap?
They did show a modest profit in the October filing, but the market didn't react at all then. It has only rocketed since the 11-18 announcement.
Bo
Mach, it is indeed great to see the picks.
So much of it is timing and patience. Yesterday 'earthquake' related stocks were popping like helium balloons being let go. To call one early enough was the key.
It seems that many daily fliers go on momentum which is so hard to CONSISTANTLY play. Not impossible, but at least tough for this bird. The patience part of the equation means not getting in too late. It's so tempting to get in a play after time has gone by and it is still running. At least for me, getting in early after a good pr will provide the surest chance for gains and a gap the next day.
Joye's chart plays move very well, especially when there is news or the pps is doing a UT. I'm a news guy, so from me the more excited I am about the news and timing of the play are the ones to consider. You bring solid plays which have good 1-3 day steady run potential (the best kind of gains to be had...less nerve racking..lol). prospector's eye is pretty good as well on plays. Stock Analyzer has a bead on sleeper plays to check out for sure.
Here's to a good new year.
Bo
Joye, good article. The question remains
how current shareholders of SPEA will be treated. When I say 'shareholders' I'm referring to those outside of Silverman, his company and the investment group which includes Agassi.
It is clear that he has every intention to change the entity Sports Entertainment (SPEA) to CKX. It is also clear those included in the 96% block which currently own SPEA (Silverman, friends of Silverman, and the Agassi investment group) will have their shares converted to CKX shares. It isn't clear to me if those SPEA shareholders outside of this group will be part of the conversion. That 4% is us.
Great post and puts us one step closer to determining what the fate of the 4% will be.
Bo
RDXM, volume, momentum, low O/S.
.0024/.0027
Watching for now. No news today but is moving without news.
Out until evening..grrrr. Lunch in front of the screen and scanned what's out there. Keeping this on the radar for any news. Might be one to get in on when news hits.
NMCX: I posted last week and I'll say it just to refresh. Why the interest is high in NMCX is the value news of last week. As I posted previously, their 1999-2003 financials will not show any valation from the Skull Mine contract. It's not going to be there. Don't expect it to be. Be happy they are showing incredible value and working to become a reporting comany. So hang in there with your investment.
One more time, the skull mine news was last week. Nothing in the reports from 1999-2003 will reflect this. I know this sounds like common sense knowledge and no need to state it twice (three times if you count my last week's post), but paid bashers will lie, trying to tie the 1999-2003 financials to NMCX's current value. Again, ignore them and hang in there if you chose based on the valuation we now know and your comfort level.
Common sense needs to dictate here. The bashers are having less and less effect on stocks, so base your decisions more on value and not on their bashes which are lies or have no basis to make an investment decision.
Bo
Hold the Monday fort down guys. : )
I'll be out more than in between the bells.
Joye, our ears must be burning at the same time.
I just peeked at USCA before signing on and see you posted their chart. Last at $3.15 on heavy than normal volume for them (up .24 so far). I'm on the fence as to whther it is a play, but certainly one to watch or park money at this level if you believe good things are ahead.
NMCX looks good.
If I could monitor today, I'd watch LMMG. I don't have anything in them but just sharing what may show strength today so far.
I still don't completly trust it, but SPEA has moved on small volume both Friday and today. If there is any confirmation or certainty given by Silverman of SPEA STAYING vested in the benefits of the deal mentioned 10-11 days ago then this will breakout again nicely imo.
Have a good Monday all. : )
Bo
Tim, well put. Did you ever notice
without fail every Christmas Eve a certain peace begins around 6-7 this evening and deepens through the night? If you walk or step outside, the quiet of the night calms you more as you know that same peace is touching everyone tonight.
That feeling is no accident.
Tonight is a hint of what He offers beyond this life. It is this night that we all get that very special shared peace from above. It's a gift I look forward to every year.
Great Christmas to all!!
Bo
ski, thanks! I hope you and your wife and family have a blessed weekend and great 2005! Wear bells when you hit the slopes this weekend.
My hope and prayer for everyone is the same. (minus the bells and slopes of course) ; )
Holidays can be bittersweet. We just have to stay focused on the sweet side as much as we can and we'll be fine.
Bo : )
GM all. Billy it's only my opinion and
who doesn't have one of those..lol..but here's what may well be playing out:
NMCX had a following of shareholders who have accumulated a large block of shares at lower levels. Anyone who saw the very strong volume at yesterday's open suddenly get choked off at 10am through the rest of the day had to at least question this at some point. Some of these investors may have been selling off to get some profit, but the volume evidence is proof enough to me that MM's were trying to scare the majority of these investors from their shares. If an investor who has held for a long time sees a level that for whatever reason isn't breaking through even though it should, MM's are hoping they will be more inclined to sell.
Reader's Digest version: MM's are trying to scare the long time shareholders out of their shares.
I haven't followed this morning's trading, and this may be my last post until this evening (busy w/business and Christmas), but from what I've scanned on the boards it's tough getting filled.
The valuation is there. The potential is even greater. So my friend, these levels are still quite good. It is amazing what the broker/dealers allow to run to the sky, while they hold other better stocks down. Their valuation and potential at these levels makes this a strong play.
Be well buddy,
Bo
I agree prospector. Valuation such as this
will not be ignored by the market.
I could speculate as to why the trading volume did what it did today, but everyone should simply look at it to see it for themselves. There was HEAVY early volume that got strangled at 10am and stayed strangled through the day even though there was obvious interest and presure on this stock. The 2 brief times it was 'allowed' to trade after 10am, it began to run strong.
If this ran to .40 or beyond I would say to be careful, but at these levels I'm tempted to make this a large buy.
It's impossible to get past:
26% = $500 million over 12 years.
74% still remain, PLUS I am wanting to see it confirmed that additional tonnage will continued to be mined and processed beyond what they currently have in inventory.
Calling it a night. : )
Bo
D-in-the-R, In the link it gives a good
profile of the company by the CEO then it focuses on the Skull Mine and all operations there. It's very impressive in terms of the equipment, technology and tonnage of ore they have found to date. The processes of on site lab testing, sifting, refining, then final processing of mineral rich ore are all shown and explained. At the time of the video, they found 500,000 tons of mineral rich ore, which can then be refined and processed depending on what is desired or needed from the ore. They mention gold and uranium as the 2 main minerals rich within the ore.
Again the technology and manpower are on-site, making this a cost effective process. I am curious if further tonnage is being mined beyond what is in current their inventory. I'm guessing, but seeing the process and the promise I would say yes.
BTW, I tried the link again from my post and it worked. If it still doesn't work for you I'd say go to their homepage then click in the 'Videos' heading.
With an float I've seen range in the modest range of 300 million and a value of 26% of their current inventory at 500 million, this play will only get better over time. I'll use my SIRI example again. The have a 1.2 BILLION O/S and have LOST over 500 million dollars over the last 4 quarters, which is nothing new for them. They grossed ~45 million over the last 4 quarters. NMCX will be pulling an average of 40 to 50 million dollars per year over the next 12 years just from this one deal. Hell their A/S is almost equal to SIRI's O/S (1.5B A/S to SIRI's 1.2B O/S). SIRI traded today around 8 bucks. NMCX is a strong buy.
CMKX = show me stock. I'm ready and done talking. I still hold 8 digits of shares in this mother-in-law.
Have a good night Diamond. : )

Nevada Mining Company video

Higher bandwidth is available on the site to apply to your connection.
Good reference info in Sterling's post.
The dynamic of SHO in my mind rests on two factors:
1) It actually occurs in two weeks.
2) SHO needs to have teeth (aka effective enforcement)
There was a link floating around about 2 weeks ago suggesting Regulation SHO was going to be delayed until May. I wasn't 'boarding' it much until late last week so I don't know if there was a correction to that link and indeed the confirmed starting date of Reg SHO is in 2 weeks. I hope that's the case.
Second, being enforceable is something which from Sterling's post appears that the SEC is going to take serious. I wouldn't be surprised if our good friend Mr. Spitzer from NY didn't have input in this regulation. If fully enforced, it is certainly a clean way to eliminate the NSS abuse.
Officers of NMCX must have planned for this time period, because by they seem to be laying the groundwork for becoming a threshhold security.
In my opinion today was simply a peek at their valuation, with clear language in the pr that there is much more value than even was being announced. They did this because if they report prior financial quarters and annums, obviously absent of today's news investors wouldn't see their value and potential. Now with the news, the value and potential is there for all to see. Investors will now focus on 'the now' and the future rather than the figures and minutia of prior periods. Hopefully all now see the value and that the reason for reporting is to become a threshhold company to take full advantage of Regulation SHO. Today goes a long way in growing market awareness and the investor base leading up to that time when they become a threshhold security. After today and with SHO looming, their potential at these prices is great.
Bo
ski, wtg. We're on the same ship...
In scanning the boards on NMCX, I do see where the group of NMCX follwers have been accumulating and to their credit have hung in there at lower levels. They may well be taking some profit for the holidays, and who can blame them. What it means for us is getting in what I think are great levels still.
I hope that ship makes stops in the Carribean. I could use a 1/2 hour of parasailing over turquoise water right now.
Did you get in at those lower levels? I'm just climbing on deck today to see where it takes us.
GTG...Merry everything ski!
Bo : )
Jim, thanks. 22 years in investing, but only
1 1/2 years looking at pennys and under <$5 stuff. I did some quick research after reading your post and learned something new today.
What broker/dealers have to go through to quote a pinksheet stock is quite a lot. But what you said in your post is right on.
According to SEC rule 15c2-11, if they don't file Form 211, they have many hoops to jump through to qualify for the exception and thus be able to quote pinksheet stocks. One of the exceptions is:
"The brokerage firm wishes to submit an unsolicited quote. An unsolicited quote represents a customer order and NOT A MARKET MAKER'S OWN POSITION and must be removed from the system once the customer order is executed."
The "not a market maker's own position" was the part that struck me.
Now I know what the "u" means. I honestly never knew before when seeing L2. : )
That doesn't mean they don't manipulate it to let their "customers" buy in low (meaning, it's their shares but have partnered with someone to buy it for them). But it does mean even if that does goes on, they are playing it long because the public cannot short pinksheets.
Good info, thanks.
Bo
NMCX: Moving and it has to...
$500 million over the next 12 years on only 1/4 of their inventory from the Skull mine alone. It's reasonable to assume the total value of the remaining 75% could in itself be worth anywhere from $1 billion to $2.5 billion.
prospector, you have followed the company closer than I have, so tell me: Is there a possibility additional ore could be excavated and recovered over and above what they just sold and in current inventory? There is no wrong answer in light of the awesome news, I'm just curious.
The market also needs to consider this from the pr:
"In addition to its Skull Valley operations, the Company owns 7 mining claims of 20 acres each in Mesquite, Nev. and 17 mining claims on 340 acres in San Bernardino County, Calif. In all of the above NMC, Inc. owns 100% of the mineral rights."
It's safe to say that from here NMCX will be able to explore, expand and sell when, and to whom they want.
I'll say it again, 2005 is going to be a great year guys if we work like we have done this past week. They all won't be winners but when we find them, we really find them : )
NMCX is a winner. prospector I may have helped you some last week on the Elvis play, but NMCX is one I might be thanking you for a long time to come.
Bo
NMCX: from another board:
Of note is his comment that the O/S is only 550 million. The rest echos the pr and some things we have all brought up.

VALUATION- READ THIS PEOPLE!
So we have a company that will now make 5.5 million a year over the next 2 years. After that NMCX will gross 61 million a year for the next 8 years. Using gross profits of 5 million.
There are 550 million shares out standing.
A standard valuation of a mining company is about 28 time earnings. That's not low or high.
Do your own math, but I got about 1.50/ share.
After that NMCX will gross 61 million a year for 8 years.
Remember this is also only 26% of this tonnage at Skull Valley. They still have the remainder tonnage as well. We are talking 550 million value on 1/4 of the mine! Wake up people! What are the other 2 mines worth and how will that add to the value of this company. New investors and old HOLD YOUR POSITION!
narvo, the important thing from your post
and today's news....
Today's value news is 26% of their ore inventory. Turned around and translated, they have 74% remaining!!! It's not hard to do the math on this one. No unrealistic theories or paltalk needed for NMCX. Simply an awesome value pr.
Everyone read the pr. We all saw the opening bell run. So you tell me what the MM's are doing freezing trades. (last at .0245...)
Answer: Freeze it long enough to make investors disinterested and hold off a run so they can accumulate shares from the nervous investors which they caused.
In my next life I am going to be an MM. LOL
Hopefully they'll let this be traded freely soon and let it run. : )
Bo
CRLU on watch. Their run yesterday was
choked off, but I still see strong upside with yesterday's news and what is to come. It looked like they were going to run very hard and the brakes were obviously put on. I'm in for when those brakes decide to come off again. : )
The same choke manuever (illegal) by the MM's is being applied to NMCX. You can tell with the 'pressure volume' we are seeing if MM's decide to trade it legally allowed to run based on free market trading investors would be buying at 3-4 times the current price. Last at .026, what a joke. They need shares. There wasn't that much bought (only 3-4 trades) which took it up, so I highly doubt the last half hour has been profit taking because of those 3-4 trades that went through, they would have been a higher price than .026.
Again, holding for when those illegal brakes come off.
Bo
NEOM & NMCX, TY Joy & prospector!
Great call guys!!!
Nice gap and volume on NEOM.
MM's were caught off guard on NMCX. With value news like that investors won't ignore it at these low prices. They're trying hard to freeze trading (illegal), but it could turn into a mini SPEA but with even better gains.
Bo
prospector-Thanks for the confirmation.
Retiring 75 billion at a discount is no small matter, and does lend itself well for CMKX. It obviously explains the heavy trading volume we saw at the beginning of the month.
It's a trend which needs to continue and perhaps has been occurring all along.
It's a hold it and forget about it stock. For me any additional buying of it will only be at .0001 or .0002. Other plays will get my attention between the bells, not CMKX. I'll peek at what's going on with them like now, long after the day is done.
My days of hashing and rehashing CMKX in posts are done. It's their turn to talk to all of us.
Good post and an important clarification!
Bo
ICOA .059/.06
CRLU: If that bid breaks, it's gone.
They are manipulated the bid so blantantly when all buys are at the ask at .42 and .40. The took the bid to .32, .29 and .27 even when the buys were going at .40 and .42!!
Too funny. It's a matter of time. They are obviously trying to slow trading to wane investors' interest and get shares. : )

NMKT as a buy and hold. I doesn't swing much and has a good % return for the year.
I know I called MRKL last week and it has stayed flat (better than losing money though : ), but with the strength of it's news recently I can see BIPH and MRKL as good ones to put a % of your holdings and not watch them and see what they do for 2005.

MLON .0032/.0033 Major Volume
GM all. Sounds good Stock Ana...I like plays that
run or have the likely potential to run on fresh news, with a modest O/S and has the market's attention. If your CRPP gets news this week, you'll be smiling. : )
They and ZKID are definitely on the radar here for any momentum or news.
Bo
Gold, thanks. I didn't see much in fundementals
or news that was good (recent pr's about trying to right themselves from bankruptcy), but any sharp rise on no news usually gets my attention.
In an OT subject, it is hysterical to see what the IHUB MLON board has turned into. Read the names which = poorly paid MM peasants. They all sound like they are tired and bored with their own posts. After seeing the strong runs of many stocks this past year (even though they bashed otherwise), their crediblility lessens by each day and their current level of effectiveness is somewhere around today's wind chill of negative 15. lol Why waste your day, time and energy to try unsuccessfully bash an OTC or Pinksheet day in and day out? The answer is obvious: They are paid to do it, except whomever is paying them aren't getting their money's worth lately. Their lame game is weak and obvious to investors.
Bottom line with MLON, .0001 - .0028 in 11 trading days. He is using a relentless direct approach, laying his business and activity on the table and the market responds. Great volume and more to come. It looking similar to QBID's strong run in April.
ZKID is on the radar and will be peeking more at it tomorrow and Wednsday to see if it is a play.
Nite all,
Bo
Stock Analizer...CRPP, do you have any insight on
their move on no news? The recent news is pretty clear and to be honest, the play wouldn't have my interest except for the very recent no-news run. That is sometimes a sign of something surfacing soon.
If you have followed this company, I'm just curious to what you believe is going on.
Thanks, Bo
Sir Tim, SPEA simply needs some confirmation about
prtectiing it's rights under this agreement. The news that woodrots and prospector pointed out was sourced from different media than my A-trade's pr. I simply think the market would like the same assurance.
Thursday is when I was smiling. Friday I took a small chunk to day trade it, and made ~$150.
gtg Bo
The Free Neb, good call on SPRL. Nice 40% rise.
I'm not in it but definitely one to watch. Was a flyer 5 months ago to .75 and higher!
GTG again all. grrr -busy day here.
Bo
Hi all. back & frozen. MLON looks like the strong play and gapper for tomorrow. Seems I missed a run. Trying to get in before the bell.
Bo
woodrots, with an attitude like that my friend...
We're going to make sweet bank in 2005. I like the news you brought about SPEA which was fresh and informative. Thank you again.
There is simply too many good plays in the short, mid and long term to spend the kind of time and brainpower on CMKX that I've spent. Make no mistake, that won't happen again.
Your post was good because of the first sentence:
"Trading is not a good game for emotions to control."
This past week, SPEA, MLON, BLYC, BCON are just 4 of MANY that come to mind that had many smiling, including me.
CMKX bores me. I'll still comment, but my comments will be constructive, sometimes critical and sometimes praising. But CMKX, IBZT and SSWH cost me too many opportunities in 2004 and this past week will be a preview of what my focus will be for 2005. CMKX is simply a hold for me. I may add another grand or 2 at these levels and certainly only peek at activity after the trading day is over, not during. There are simply too many good plays to care about CMKX between the bells.
My last post suggests the 2 questions needing to be asked to determine if this PR is very good or very bad. I'll be out tomorrow and Tuesday is questionable or I'd call the guy myself. Either way, I hope CMKX un-bores me!!..:)..., but speaking for me, there are many other fish in the barrel to make a hell of a lot of money for me to care what CMKX is doing or about emotions of certain investors.
What's funny is that the end of 2003 and through the early part of 2004 I had the same goals that I will execute come 2005, and was doing damn well. WNMI banked me almost $9,000 in 2 days. That may not seem like much to some high rollers, but 9k was sure sweet to me. Those were the days before I made the mistake in HOLDING IBZT, SSWH and CMKX far too long, which is basically all year beginning in mid spring. I can be fooled once, but never twice so 2005 will be our year buddy. Your post is a well said how-to in how emotions should play in the stock market.
Have a good one woodrots. Nice post buddy.
See you all likely sometime Tuesday.
Bo Ho Ho
CMKX: My Take, Call it: 'Now it's our turn'
I'm not going to be the wet blanket, but I'm not going to be looking for the toast glasses either.
I haven't scanned the boards for opinions and have to leave to church soon, so I'm responding to the pr language only.
Two things, bottom line:
The deal with NM is still on but it is in the form of a note payable rather than CMKX shares. This can be interpreted 2 ways. Either someone is trying to cash out now because they are not confident CMKX will rise above it's current level, or it is something very good, which like the title says, 'now it is our turn' to find out.
That 'something very good' I refer to is whether the 75,000,000,000 shares are being RETIRED or not. Remember, 30 or 40 billion of those shares were Urban's.
So before I join the bandwagon to conclude this is good news, we have to ask Andy 2 questions..(and the answers should be simple).
****Are the 75 billion shares retired?
If yes, then definitely this is GREAT NEWS and a good sign of things to come.
If no, the question is:
****Will Urban's portion be again owned by him and the remaining shares still classified as 'issued shares'?
Simple questions and simple answers. I'm not sure if anyone has confirmed the above with Andy yet, so I apologize if they have and I simply haven't caught up to it yet.
If not, those are the questions that need to be asked. Who cares if the 75 billion were repurchased if they are to be reissued as part of the float versus retiring them?
Retiring them is excellent news for us. Allowing them to further dilute the float is just the opposite.
I hope very, very much they are being retired!!
Good Sunday all. : )
Bo
Prospector, clear as mud.
I hit the sell button at 9.20. This latest bit is certainly not clear how SPEA is safe when it states their rights can be transferred without shareholder approval. RFX and EPE certainly are safe and benefit from this transaction. It seems from this that EPE is tied more with RFX, and if SPEA has rights on this they can be transferring without any notice or proxy.
I GTG, but I'll try to read all the news blogs that have been out on this the past 2 days and compare. However, what you highlighted certainly was not what I read or interpreted yesterday, nor what the market interpreted from yesterday's news.
From this, clarification will be needed from Silverman.
Good eye prospector. And kudos to woodrots for what he brought over. woodrots, would it be possible in 1 post to provide the news links (there is either 3 or 4) for SPEA these past 2 days?
Til later all.
Bo
The MM's are shaking SPEA. It ran to 9.90 with
trade after trade, then they froze trading and took the price down sharply on delayed trading and very very small volume trades. They are changing the B/A even during the time they are freezing it.
Getting my ass handed to me watching them do it.
So much for a good Bday.
