WRT swallowing Vascepa capsules (or any oral meds), a little trick I discovered....place pill(s) in mouth, take gulp of liquid (or whatever) into mouth. Swallow twice; first swallow is liquid only, second is liquid with med. You'll be amazed, I swallow a small handful of pills at once.
I don't know Posi, I've heard you called a number of things, but I wouldn't call you a "glitch in the system".
Besides Reduce-It, are there any upcoming events that have the potential to move Amarin PPS?
Bristol, agree completely....time is no longer on our side. Fortunately Barker et al chose the new CEO well. McNally is exactly the right personality type to accelerate the technology forward. He's had an enviable run already but let's hope he can pull off a hat trick.
Any way to determine the price at which he can exercise or whether there are any retention commitments? Probably have to get that info from the Company....
That's a perfectly reasonable way to pose the question. In the case of SAIL, the intent was to develop a VR based training program for surgeons.
Nothing personal none65, but there's not a rat's ass chance in hell of that happening on Monday. I know everyone's feeling a little lighter about the company right now with the new CEO, but if we get ahead of ourselves we'll be cursing him worse than JH and RR if the positives don't come fast enough. Take a break and give the guy a chance to get grounded. Manage your expectations or you'll be right back in the doldrums very shortly. JMO
Nobody but you gives a good goddamn about your vote. Save it for the next midterm elections, it'll probably go a lot further.
This is the right thought process in dealing with Titan investing going forward. We have a long history with this stock and we should use our collective wisdom in decisions on new purchases. No matter what gets announced at this early stage, the PPS will not go straight up!
That would likely be the prudent move at this moment.
Kiwi, GO AMRN!! Came home (NJ) for the Holidays, heading back to Delray tomorrow....until late Apr/early May. I had a ten day visit to SF and Napa in Oct/Nov 2014....looking to return in Oct 2017.
Hello Kiwi, Happy New Year to You!!!!
....If you trust one man's opinion, but I might be a little cautious about buying more given the history we have to date.
Pitt, it's probably due to the anti-inflammatory effects of Statins and, in the case of Zocor and Lipitor, their ability to cross the blood-brain barrier making them even more effective.
Someone has been drinking the Kool-Aid. Either that or dipping hard into the spiked EggNog! The fate of Titan is by no means assured at this point in time, it is certainly possible, perhaps likely, that management has done so much damage that the company cannot be salvaged. IMO
North, these are related to using EPA and other O-3s for treating Sepsis and should be included with the reports you are sending.

(Vascepa can be introduced orally at any time patient develops symptoms)

Thanks Mustang, I am very much in agreement with this approach. I believe you are correct that opportunity is diminished during this Holiday period and a query just into the New Year is more appropriate.
About the happiness, I'll second that; as for the riches, I'm gonna third that! Cheers to you also Watching!
Love to you also Anna! Glad you're still hanging around. Are you living in a sunbelt region?
Happy Holidays to you Mustang and thanks for your efforts. In my opinion, since we know priority 1 is the CEO search, I wouldn't say anything more about it except that we hope it is proceeding well.
With respect to the rest of your thoughts --
"status of development, update on projected timelines, funding strategies and budget vs. burn rate, any progress on the regulatory front (CE and/or FDA), marketing plans, and imminent publicity we can look forward to. + also mention that to those of us who believe in this technology, the few times it has had any public exposure, we are proud of the instrument and the organization and always excited to hear feedback from those who saw it in person"
-- I think asking for an update at the start of the New Year would be appropriate. I would also reiterate that "we are always anxious to learn of any progress" and especially any contact between Titan and the outside world. Barker et al are surely making an effort, after all they're trying to save their asses! We don't want to be unreasonable but we want to be kept in the loop.
Truly do appreciate your contribution. JMO
Tell me something Fishy, how would you compare the chart for AMRN against the chart for FCH. Do you recognize any similarities?
Amarin gets a small upward run going and another POLITICIAN has to mouth off and try to staunch it! Many thanks to "The Don" for sh!tting on our tiny little birthday cake. BUSINESS as usual. Get accustomed to it folks! JMO
Gabor, just read your Business Part II discussion....great information and insight, as usual! Thanks again for taking the time to publish the facts and your thoughts on this forum.

STS, I'm a bit late with this post but I totally agree...you're dead on with this comment. Vascepa pricing will likely never go much higher than where it is today and insurance coverage is the major limiting factor. But that won't dampen the success of Vascepa in the market. To give credit where it is due, JL has argued that it will one day be seen as a commodity and as such, lower prices with slim margins will still generate massive profits for Amarin and shareholders. I've always believed he was correct about this and the breadth of the science behind EPA confirms his opinion. IMO
To be honest ZU, this information about research being performed by Dr. Radiloff leaves me very concerned. He mentioned trials ongoing to demonstrate benefit of EPA on DES and another testing a mouthwash intended to counter periodontal disease. If you read his entire interview, there isn't even a mention of Cardiovascular Disease. His lab is focused on all the other benefits derived from controlling inflammation using EPA.
Also mentioned were his thoughts on lack of dietary Omega-3s and his current interest, Personal Metabolomics of which he stated "may help us to understand collective health and behavior as well as personalized medicine". I wonder how quickly Dr. Radiloff or the unnamed sponsors of the DES or Periodontal Disease trials will be ready to publish. If they begin putting all this in front of the public before we publish VASCEPA results, it'll take a lot of the punch out of our revelations.
I go back to previous posts I've made discussing the real reasons FDA has stood against Amarin. By delaying our entry into the larger markets for EPA, they have kept the door open, by their perceptions, for more reputable science to emerge. They have no respect for our VASCEPA indications and I fear they still have the upper hand with Amarin.
What I fear even more is that Amarin still doesn't recognize any of this and there's a big surprise coming down on us.

I have not looked at MYOK but I will at your suggestion. Enjoy the banter(?) between you and certain others on this board. Perspective on both sides of any issue is important and I believe you provoke readers into broader consideration with many of your posts. Keep it up and thanks!
Any time North, appreciate your thoughtful contributions to this board.
GM North, breakfast usually around 9:30 AM, drugs a half hour later. I eat dinner between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, drugs between 10:00 PM and midnight. My EPA/AA Ratio is quite high so these interims seem to be working well for me.
4 grams every day, Kiwi, 2 after breakfast and 2 before bed.
This is the rule for enrollment if you are still working and/or covered by another qualified medical plan. It must be a full coverage plan to qualify, i.e. a typical employer plan. You can check through Medicare directly. I didn't enroll in Part B until 66th birthday because that is when I retired and lost company coverage, no penalty assessed.
Kiwi, I'd like to present another side of the quest for a higher EPA/AA Ratio. My post #83502 from June this year details my latest fatty acid profile. A quick calc yields a 1.23 ratio. I've been on Vascepa 4gm daily since the beginning, March 2013.
I'm overweight at 6' tall 275 lbs but have significant spinal problems that make exercise, even walking any distance, difficult. Also Cardiomyopathy with .20-.25 EF slows me down. Coronary syndrome is quite apparent but no special diet. Actually pretty much a Paleo diet but with large servings of a broad variety of vegetables. I am moderate with the starchy foods.....potatoes, rice, pasta, bread.
Occasionally partake of the grape as well as Jack Daniels Perfect Manhattans a few times per week and Johnny Walker Black a few other times. I'm not really excessive but one does have needs...LOL!
If history is relevant, I will lose 25 pounds between now and the end of April 2017. Live in Northeast but winter in Delray Beach, South FL. Manage to get more active, even get out on the Golf Course occasionally, although 18 holes is still a distant dream.
For me, V has been a miracle. Most of my life I've dealt with IBS like symptoms but they've been largely eliminated with V. I've been hospitalized for Colitis in 2009, at Thanksgiving in 2011 and again at Thanksgiving in 2015. The last was a 4 year interim and the attack was less severe, I credit that to V.
Hoping for a better TG Holiday this year! GLTA.
I appreciate your optimism but I just can't share it. Too many missteps extending back over the last 2 years must be unwound before we see a 600% price increase. Down the road....Yes, within 6 months....No, IMO.
Have to agree, short of a buyout there is no way that TITXF hits CD$2.00 within next 5 or 6 months. Could maybe reach CD$1.00 on extraordinary news but wouldn't hold my breath!! JMO
Never mind.....
Yes, and sell into the after lunch siesta, LOL! Actually that isn't true.....in fact there's nobody really selling because there's nobody buying.
devicerep, spider, I want to add my voice to yours in that hiring a new CEO should be done with the strategic objectives of Titan at the forefront. To do this correctly will, of necessity, take a reasonable amount of time. It would not be excessive if it that process goes beyond year end. IMO
Zu, you remember Arthralgia is the most common side effect of V, perhaps she is particularly susceptible.
Huh?
Group O is universal red cell donor, group AB is universal plasma donor.
