i agree. the UN climate meeting a week back was all about CO2 reduction. Mantra is definatley in the right spot at the right time.
a company with a market cap that is about the same as their revenues isnt too shabby of a company.
it would be great to see some news related to a large north american company becasue US-retail and institutions investors would be buying hand over fist.
one step at a time, i dont think large cap companies release news until the relationship is concrete
i think this is just the start of the goods. did you see the pictures of mantra and people of posco. look up posco and see how large they are. if something comes from them, then we are laughing. i think a large north american company would shoot this stock through the roof.
i didnt buy any of this stock, phew. i know the vancouver area is filled with garbage promoters and scammers and this must be the latest one. i knew from the start this looked real fishy. just going though the prs you will be able to see also.
whats the persons name. i would like to know. i knew from the start that this a bs company, people to read between the lines of press releases. if they are too good to be true,, they usually are. come on a cure for prostate cancer, it would have been on the news and been scooped up by the big boys long ago.
now look at the bids stack up at .21 after you say that. good buy.
i personally think we are solid here. i agree there has been some selling but the potential and future for mantra seems very bright. whoever is selling will hopefully angry when some news comes out
did anyone watch the UN summit on climate change. things are at the perfect time for this technology to explode.
perfect time to accumulate. i know this company well and look for a quick rebound.
lets get this party started again.
NEWS_-Mantra Wraps up ENTECH 2009 with Strategic Relationships, Prospective Financing and International Recognition
Mantra Venture Group Ltd. is pleased to announce the success from its Korean business development mission as ENTECH 2009 draws to a close. Over the course of the past several days, Mantra executives met with numerous business representatives and government officials, and several strategic relationships and financing opportunities have been identified.
Over the weekend, Mantra was personally invited by Director Sung from Gyung Buk Province to visit local power plants, tour facilities in Pohang city's state-of-the-art techno-park complex, and to discuss current trends and environmental challenges faced by industry today. In commenting on the visit, Shawn Kim, Vice President of International Business Development for Mantra, noted: "I have seen the capacity of government and large industry leaders to get behind the new technologies and accelerate their pace toward commercialization. We see Mantra's technologies complementing current technologies under development by these industries."
Upon completion of Mantra's visit to Gyung Buck Province, the executives travelled back to Seoul for further discussions with prominent industry leaders to formalize business relationships in the capacity of financing the technology development. Negotiations are currently underway, and Mantra will be releasing updates shortly.
Larry Kristof, President and CEO of Mantra, commented: "Overall, the trip was a huge success. While we expected a significant level of interest in the Electroreduction of Carbon Dioxide technology (ERC) over the course of the week, the enthusiasm it generated as ENTECH 2009's only carbon recycling technology greatly exceeded our expectations. The partnership opportunities currently under negotiation represent a huge step forward for the company, and we look forward to solidifying these relationships in the coming weeks."
Mantra's ERC technology also received significant media coverage during the trip. Mantra was featured in the Korean newspaper: Today Energy on September 16th, and beginning in October, it will be featured in a multi-series of articles in Monthly Environment 21 - Korea's longest running green tech magazine.
Updates, pictures and media articles will be available shortly on Mantra's website: www.mantraenergy.com.

About ERC
The ERC process, defined as the Electrochemical Reduction of Carbon Dioxide, combines captured carbon dioxide with water to produce high value materials, such as formic acid and formate salts, which are conventionally obtained from the thermochemical processing of Fossil Fuels. However, ERC has an advantage over the established thermochemical methods for converting carbon dioxide to liquid fuels.
While thermochemical reactions must be driven at relatively high temperatures that are normally obtained by burning fossil fuels, ERC operates at near ambient conditions and is driven by electric energy that can be taken from an electric power grid supplied by hydro, wind, solar or nuclear energy.

MVTG-news- new type of fuel cell
very good news. a new fuel cell should gather some attention
NEWS-- Mantra Venture Group Acquires Worldwide Exclusive License for Mixed Reactant Fuel Cell Technology
Mantra Venture Group Acquires Worldwide Exclusive License for Mixed Reactant Fuel Cell Technology
Mantra Venture Group Ltd. ('Mantra', OTCBB: MVTG, FSE: 5MV) is pleased to announce that it signed a worldwide exclusive licensing agreement for a Mixed Reactant Fuel Cell (MRFC) technology on September 2nd, 2009. Unlike typical fuel cells that require a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) to separate the fuel from the oxidant within the cell, MRFC is based on an innovative technology that mixes the fuel with the oxidant and eliminates the need for the expensive yet fragile membrane. As a result, Mantra anticipates a simplified and much more cost effective manufacturing process upon commercialization.
MRFC was designed by Professor Emeritus Colin Oloman in the Clean Energy Research Center (CERC) at the University of British Columbia, Canada. Under the direction of Prof. Oloman, Mantra's technical staff is currently undertaking feasibility studies on the MRFC technology - using formate as the fuel. This represents a significant opportunity for Mantra, as formate is one of the key products of ERC - the company's carbon recycling technology.
John Russell, Vice President of Technical Evaluation, noted: "While fuel cells have evolved and grown more fuel efficient and powerful over the last 10 years, they are still very much struggling to compete with conventional batteries. The MRFC technology moves outside the standard architecture, eliminating the complexity of conventional fuel cells and thus promising improved economic performance. This economic advancement may be enough for fuel cells to reach widespread adoption."
Mantra's goal in signing this agreement is to carry the technology from its present development stages through to commercialization and to establish sub-licensing agreements thereafter. MRFC is currently in the worldwide patent application process.

About Mixed Reactant Fuel Cell (MRFC)
MRFC is a fuel cell with an unconventional architecture that eliminates the need for some operating features and components (such as the PEM) that are typically required in today's fuel cells. This simplification is expected to generate a significant economic advantage for the MRFC design. MRFC is currently in the critical stages of the patent application process, limiting the amount of technical information and specifications that can be released at this time. More information on the technology will be released shortly.

i think after this coming weekend, the markets will be back in business. hopefully september is a great month for Mantra.
aside from some little trades. Mantra is very stable.
we need to keep the pressure on, take this puppy to a decent price and then hopefully they drop a bomb of a press release and we will see blue skys.
Mantra has a one of a kind technology that is proven and works, has credibilty from a canadian government grant, sounds ready to be commercialized and i feel it is only a matter of time.
i thinking mantra will do amazing over the next little while. as long as were moving in the right direction, im happy
well it finally looks like we are getting some traction here. i cant wait for a big announcment to come. slow and steady is a very good way.
it would be amazing if they found a company of size. There are only a handful of companies out there that do carbon recyling and i believe mantra to be ahead of the curve and most sophisticated company with a tech like this. they will be picked up, just a matter of time.
im definitley thinking that there is something large in the background of Mantra coming. The stability and movement are looking good. things are falling into place.
ill buy again at 3 cents unless they put a REAL pr not all this fluff
some good news, hopefully something great comes from this
Mantra Seeks Commercial Partner for Participation in $100 Million U.S. DOE Research Program
SEATTLE, July 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Mantra Venture Group Ltd. (OTCBB: MVTG - FSE: 5MV) - On June 8th, 2009, the US Department of Energy's (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) announced a $2.4 Billion funding opportunity for a range of industrial carbon capture and energy efficiency improvement projects. Of this offering, approximately $100 Million has been allocated for innovative concepts for beneficial CO2 reuse, including: CO2 mineralization to carbonates through conversion of CO2 in flue gas; use of CO2 from power plants or industrial applications to grow algae/biomass, and conversion of CO2 to fuels and chemicals. Mantra's Electroreduction of Carbon Dioxide Technology (ERC) is well suited for the conversion of CO2 to fuels and chemicals component of the initiative through its conversion of CO2 into high value materials, including: formic acid, formate salts, oxalic acid and methanol. Mantra is now evaluating partnership opportunities with U.S.-based industry plants to facilitate the pilot scale demonstration project. If Mantra identifies and comes to an agreement with a suitable industry partner, it will be able to complete an application to participate in the DOE's funding opportunity. All applications have to be completed and submitted by August 7th, 2009.
John Russell, Vice President of Technology Evaluation at Mantra, comments: 'The recently announced DOE program offers a significant opportunity for the strategic development of ERC. With CO2 regulations becoming increasingly stringent and the value of ERC by-products on the rise, this program may offer Mantra and its testing partner the support needed make ERC a profitable CO2 recycling solution for emitters of many types.' In commenting on prospective partners for the project, he added: 'We are currently evaluating a host of suitable partnership opportunities in the U.S., including: cement plants, chemical plants, refineries, steel and aluminium plants and manufacturing facilities. Given the proximity of the deadline, we hope finalize an agreement with a partner no later than July 15th.'
The DOE-NETL program is a cost-sharing collaboration between US Government and industry to increase investment in clean industrial technologies and sequestration projects. Projects selected for funding will be broken into two phases. Phase 1 consists of the initial award - estimated to be in the range of $500,000 to $3,000,000 per project. Five months following Phase 1, awardees interested in further funding will be subject to a competitive renewal process (Phase 2). DOE will contribute up to a maximum of 80% of the capital requirements for each project, with a target contribution level of 50% for those projects considered to be of lower-risk.
If your company is interested in partnering with Mantra on this opportunity, please contact John Russell, Toll Free: 877-609-2898.

looks like something is brewing, some nice volume seems to be rolling in.
ill get back in when it takes a nice dip down to 7-8 cents. seems like the sell side and manipulation is just too much and SPNG puts out a PR everyday and still get anywhere. they need a blockbuster PR to get off the slide.
i agree, this will keep drifting lower without substantial news, people will speculate all they want. im sure the company will do fine but right now i can see this at 9 cents. There is an obvious reason why they didnt mention the name of the canadian store. too many traders, the market makers are controlling the show and way too many shares out there. scary situation for a lot of people. glad i jumped out and goin to sit on the sidelines for a bit
i think tommorrow will get ugly unless they put out some serious news.
that was a sucker rally
i agree,, far to fluffy releases and everyones sees through, market makers are playing games and i can see this heading south of 10cents
market is down today
well i think there will be news. also the fact that so many shares have traded hands over the last two weeks. im thinking that all the shares have been consolidated to an average around the current price. It seems like the managment wants to keep things rolling and likes to put out news and keep things exciting, thats why im thinking there will be some good news very shortly. The company is real, does make money and is heavily promoted.
many green days coming
more buys then sells today.
how about everyone just let the stock breath a little. Im sure a nice PR will be released tommorrow. These guys arent dumb and probably have reaized what needs to be done. I'm thinking a wal-mart release will be soon. Dont miss the boat.
