YAY!
Please say she isn't dropping into any other race................
Go Taylor!
@Victorshi2020
BOOM. Taylor Swift just posted on Instagram for her 280+ million followers, saying, “I wanted to remind you guys to vote the people who most represent YOU into power. If you haven't already, make a plan to vote today." Republicans can’t stop Taylor Swift. This is why we will win.
That's a definite plus.
I believe it. Fortunately I have none of the META apps so I am not affected. (My friends often find this annoying, but FB has never had any decent security so I deleted my account years ago.)
Mail-in voting is great but we miss out on things too.............
@smc429

Go to the Q&A board and tell Dave. I did that last evening and it is much better today. Also- when you land on the log-in page do a CTRL+F5 before you log in
All is good this morning. Thanks!
Good start to the day!
I have just loaded it, but so far it seems to be much quicker than the past few days.
IHub is running slower than molasses on all of my Computers. 1 DT running Win7 with current FF browser, 2 laptops, 1 Win10, 1 Win10 Pro, both with current FF browsers.
Works fine on my phone. (Android Pixel)
This reply is from my phone. It has no problems.
Yes I mean IHub. After the awful problems, the site returned for me, but not in any reasonable form. I have done all of the logical tech things to make sure it is not my computer. I noticed on the Q&A board that there a few others with the same problem.
it is.
Note- this app is still so slow as to be pretty much unusable for me.

@RubenGallego
It’s official. We’re on the ballot.
Spread the word, we’re going to defeat Kari Lake
Fun to watch him put it together, anyway.
That is hilarious! Good for him!
I didn't see the post on the vacuum. This blasted app did not work for 2 days. Give me a pointer to it.
I think there's only been about a month in the last year where I wasn't mailing out the damn postcards.
No, he apparently owns only parts of things. This is a recent round up of what he may, may not,or does not, own.

Yes, just NY properties.
No kidding!
Yes, I think he might have to.
Not for any reason that I'm aware of. Just picked up a few trading shares at $4.55
Maybe- but they are not easy to get,
Good idea! But they'd have to get an exhumation order to open the casket to see what he might have hidden in it.
Good! I'd love to see her start seizing his assets!
It is what it is. I don't short stocks. It's more trouble than it's worth to me. I do pay attention to short volume because it's an indicator of where the stock will be heading. There are no catalysts for ACHR in the short term, and that is the most likely cause of selling rather than buying. I tried for a $4.60 fill have earnings announcement, to add some more trading shares, but it didn't fill. Looks like I can go get them now if I want.
Don't know if everyone's seen this.
Archer Aviation's ( ACHR ) short percent of float has fallen 4.56% since its last report. The company recently reported that it has 38.22 million shares sold short, which is 16.33% of all regular shares that are available for trading. Based on its trading volume, it would take traders 8.36 days to cover their short positions on average.
This is a very interesting thread on Trumps failing brain. Worth the read.
"I've been reaching out to several colleagues who are real experts in this area. They were happy to share observations and diagnostic conclusions about Trump’s severe organic mental decline, privately, but even among colleagues who were once outspoken, there's a new high level of…

This is a positive future look.

📄 MIDNIGHT’S $3.5B ORDER BOOK | Our indicative order book now stands at 700 aircraft, valued at $3.5 billion with $15 million in pre-delivery payments. This includes orders from major airlines and strategic operators worldwide.
@tedlieu
My view of the SCOTUS action: if the trial is delayed until after November, we will see THE LARGEST BLUE WAVE IN HISTORY.
If November becomes a referendum on whether Trump faces justice, then Democrats will absolutely flip the House, keep the White House and expand the Senate.
Even if he has this delay=-it's a very bad day for Trumpty because now everyone knows he has no part of the cash he's claimed. That will give him a major mad!
And won't this be interesting!
Washington, D.C. Trump Federal 2020 Election Subversion Indictment
United States v. Trump
Filed: August 1, 2023
Indictment of former President Donald Trump by a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C. Trump was indicted on four counts relating to his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
“[F]or more than two months following election day on November 3, 2020, the Defendant [Donald Trump] spread lies that there had been outcome-determinative fraud in the election and that he had actually won. These claims were false, and the Defendant knew that they were false,” the indictment reads.
According to the unsealed indictment, Trump is charged with:
Conspiracy to defraud the United States;
Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding;
Obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding and
Conspiracy against the right to vote and have one’s vote counted.
On Aug. 3, 2023, Trump pleaded not guilty as his arraignment in Washington, D.C. On Oct. 17, the court entered a gag order prohibiting Trump from making public statements about U.S. Department of Justice attorneys, the court’s staff and witnesses. Trump appealed the order to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, which largely upheld the order on Dec. 8.
On Dec. 1, the district court denied Trump’s motion to dismiss the indictment based on presidential immunity grounds. On Dec. 7, Trump appealed this ruling to the D.C. Circuit.
On Dec. 11, 2023, the government filed a petition for writ of certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court asking it to rule on whether Trump is immune from criminal charges for actions he took while serving as president.
Meanwhile, on Dec. 13, the district court granted Trump’s request to stay proceedings while his presidential immunity appeal plays out.
On Dec. 22, the Supreme Court denied the government’s petition for a writ of certiorari. Litigation is ongoing in the D.C. Circuit regarding Trump’s immunity from criminal prosecution.
On Feb. 2, 2024, the district court vacated the trial’s start date, which was set to begin on March 4. The court has not yet scheduled a new date for the trial.
On Feb. 6, the D.C. Circuit affirmed that Trump is not absolutely immune from criminal liability for actions he took wile in office. On Feb. 12, Trump filed an application asking the Supreme Court to pause the D.C. Circuit’s immunity ruling.
And stop Mercedes'- uh....Melania's "Style consulting" or what ever that is.
This is, happily, becoming the death of a thousand cuts.
It's working- Trump has to admit (legally) that he doesn't have all of the money he keeps saying he does.
There it is: Trump conceding he doesn’t have the cash to cover the judgment after all and would have to put up assets for sale. https://t.co/1U6jJZ75Jd pic.twitter.com/YiziuDh4S6

On McConnell
@ElieNYC
The next guy will be worse, somehow, but better for the country because they’ll lack McConnell’s competence.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Mitch McConnell, the longest-serving Senate leader in history who maintained his power in the face of dramatic convulsions in the Republican Party for almost two decades, will step down from that position in November.
McConnell, who turned 82 last week, was set to announce his decision Wednesday in the well of the Senate, a place where he looked in awe from its back benches in 1985 when he arrived and where he grew increasingly comfortable in the front row seat afforded the party leaders.
“One of life’s most underappreciated talents is to know when it’s time to move on to life’s next chapter,” he said in prepared remarks obtained by The Associated Press. “So I stand before you today ... to say that this will be my last term as Republican leader of the Senate.”
His decision punctuates a powerful ideological transition underway in the Republican Party, from Ronald Reagan’s brand of traditional conservatism and strong international alliances, to the fiery, often isolationist populism of former President Donald Trump.
