Based on the many years I have followed this stock, I would say overwhelmingly...it is due to lack of advertising. This company decided that it was more important to get a few bottles on shelves all over the world as opposed to slowing rolling it out and include marketing and advertising with it.
It was the arrogance of wanting to be "world wide" that has sunk this battleship. You can put the product on every shelf in every country in every store but if no one knows about it....no one will buy it. Consumers are not willing to "waste" money on a product they know nothing about. The company depended on store employees to love their product and do the marketing for them. Store employees could care less about WNBD. They just want to do their job and go home, most being overworked as it is.
It has been proven that even people in close proximity of WB head quarters have never even heard of Winning Colours...that speaks volumes imo. The "grass roots" effort that this ceo tried to convey was the "honorable" way to go about business was admirable when Andy and Barney ruled Mayberry but those days are long gone.
Most frustrating here is that the CEO saw his "my way or the highway" wasn't working and yet he refused to change course...hence the big gouge in the side of the ship.
Product is good...management is typical pink bs. I see no upside for anyone who owns this right now....none. IMO
Is that the last trumpet I hear?
Because as a company...they suck. Pretty simple. lol
Sort of like the captain saying "I know the ship is 3/4 under water and sinking fast but I have my red solo cup and I'm bailing water for you! See me bailing water for you!" as he displays that creepy grin again.
They can change the label 100 different ways if that makes them feel better but given no one knows about it....no one cares. Put it on a shelf next to Clorox anything and guess what the consumer will buy? The bottle looks even worse now. Looks like a Dollar Store generic.
Just have to wonder how much time, energy and money went in to that stupid move. Another example of the amazingly screwed up priorities with this pos.
They changed the label again? Good grief.
While these posts that you and puppy make are seen as argumentative and "mean spirited".... what many newbies miss is the free education they are getting. How I wish I had paid more attention to details about how things work much earlier.
Thank you both for sharing what can take many years for some to learn. IMO
You are so right. As usual. Quite a few lessons to learn here.
You shouldn't get "ripped". Your money, your decision. GLTY
He's not done writing the 8 paragraph blog full of all of the bs about how it is a good thing and as usual...it's not his fault and how the meanies on the board are causing all of the problems due to their lack of vision. lol
Things sure do read differently now don't they. Even in the latest blah post....the transparency king refuses to tell the whole truth about his intentions. A pos to the end
Fridays often are not great days but this is ridiculous. smh
Your point is true but for MANY it is nothing but hindsight. That's the real **tch of these pos pennies is that they attract the newbies. I was one of them if you don't remember. You and I had many fights right here on this board when you tried to tell me what was going to happen and it has come to fruition. At one point I would have bet the farm on this company. Some people actually did!!
The dream was far easier to believe.
LMAO!!!
I hate when you make bad predictions! They always seem to come true.
It's all speculation and who knows what can or will happen but I bet you anything...there will be a blog about this very subject "soon".
IMO.... you give the CEO too much credit. I still do not believe that up until about 3-4 years ago....those that ran this company did anything they believed would hurt or jeopardize the shareholders. IMO. Then something changed. People left the company. The very ones that we're working so hard to build it. At the same time, emails to questions posed by shareholders, memos , etc...all contained lots of suggestions, "possibilities", "opportunities" and how smart current shareholders are (paraphrasing) blah, blah, blah. There were all of these "distributs were out there to help sell it with little videos....all of the things indicated how awesome things were.
If things were as wonderful as the picture that was so eloquently painted, why did some of the main team who helped build it....leave? IMO that was when things went south. The conf. calls stopped. That was one of the most commendable things they did.
I think the CEO clings to his dream and has made bad choices due to having very few to chose from when you refuse to compromise. Instead of saving the company, he has tried to save his pride. Unfortunately many have paid a high price but as the company has said before ...the risks are posted on their website. That may clear someone else's conscience but it certainly wouldn't mine.
Just my take on this mess after so many years.
:)
ALL IMO
Well...poop. I thought that today was going to be your day at .0003! Oh well, there's always Friday! Looks like they are having fun selling to each other though!
GLTA
Today is going to be your day!!! Have a great one!
It's always funny when "the product is awesome" is ALL some stuckholders can manage to boast about. Then again, there is nothing else positive to say.
In your opinion. I "understand" the product very well. Thank you kindly. Hehehe!
They WERE genuine!!! Genuine shareholders.
Yeah, yeah, yeah! Blah, blah, blah! I know all of this. Just saying...it's not the ONLY product that will remove a wine stain.
This is a stock board, not a testimonial page..hence...how good the product is (we all know it works) makes no real difference at this point. How the company runs the company makes ALL the difference
:-P
LOL! That is AWESOME!!! I bet it gives them warm fuzzies every single time a stain battle is won!! No doubt shareholders feel tinge of excitement too! I have heard "Wine Out" works fantastic on wine stains as well!
I don't know if it was removed from all or if it is sold in all but I do know that Walmart.ca does currently sell it.
Not a clue who is taking a little vacation with them. Any shareholder who still thinks this company is awesome deserves what they get now and any person who tries to defend what has happened shows their own lack of character as well. IMO
I noticed the infamous "Wine Ladies" that Lorne was such good friends with no longer promote WC. They have "Wine Out" listed on their website now. Gotta wonder how many others no longer sell/promote WC.
It was funny to read the excuse that it took a year for the company to recover about Walmart.ca not carrying it any longer. If I remember right...they weren't carrying it for awhile due to changes in paint department manager(s) and the product was indeed clearanced.
GLTA
Them going to Vegas makes as much sense as people trying to bail water out of a 3/4 sunken boat in the middle of the ocean. It's a little late and rarely (if ever) have they gotten any lasting business from these shows. History has shown that.
It's BS...pure and simple.
Very well said Activ. Your story is much like the many who were here when you and I both found this company and the belief that there was no way a "man" would do what has been done to shareholders here.
Unfortunately time and experience has proven that he is just like the hundreds and thousands of others out there. I still hate to believe it was methodical and done without a conscience. I kept chalking it up to inexperience but time has shown me, the facts I found on my own and through the help of others showing me what I was over looking...the ones whom I/we battled with ..were right. I was just an ignorant and naive first time investor...like so many of us were. There are quite a few who took out second mortgages on their homes, emptied their 401K's, got family and friends to invest...only to have it all destroyed and stolen from them. Lesson learned.
I, for one, hope that those like us who promoted this company, who pimped the product, who took time and energy out of their lives to help because we soooo believed in the product and this CEO will not beat ourselves up forever. People are taken by con artists every day.
Happy you are safe.
My heart breaks for this man. Truly does. Despite all of his warnings..he (and his wife) just blindly trusted this CEO. He gambled every dime he had and then some. Now look at what his loyalty has gotten him!

Long over due.
So they are going out to Vegas? Are you kidding me? WHY????? Absolutely a complete waste of company time and MONEY.
This is EXACTLY the kind of thing that show lack of management skills. IMO
I think some can't bear to face the reality of what has happened to them...right in front of their eyes. I feel sorry for them. Yes, they were warned but I was "taken" by this company at one time and I have compassion for them to some degree.
