Having spoke with him I do not think he was old enough to meet those specs. And his shirt not being tucked in, most likely not a military background.
Walter I hope all your predictions come true, I won't have any issues paying for my MBA.
You beat me to it, I was too busy working on a car I picked up today.
Here's my favorite part:
In addition, the Company has signed Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality agreements with several parties concerning potential joint-venture and/or financing arrangements for development of the Elk Creek Niobium project. While discussions continue to advance, readers are cautioned that there is no assurance that these discussions will result in any transaction.
Nice detective work, hopefully it's the right guy.
Before I purchased shares I remember reading they had enough cash to last to around late 2014. I can't find that info now.
(Takes a bow)
I have experience with moderating other types of forums. I didn't think this board needed any additional moderators currently. Once this stock starts moving though we may have numerous people posting trying to manipulate investors. Day traders, those who sold early and want it to come down, the kid Peter Dickie picked on in high school. All could disrupt the quality atmosphere we have and that is when extra eyes are helpful.
I was trying to post that on YMB this morning but my threads won't go through. Not sure why. I emailed her to correct the mistake about when Tom became CEO.
I decided to look for who covered news in Elk Creek because this is obviously a huge deal for a town with 100 people in it. This isn't late breaking but it is interesting to read. At the bottom you'll see links to other news articles they have written, they're are more with good background info.

Central Jersey. Are you from the US originally?
Us regular investors will never know anything first. No news is good news if this is a precursor to something that will break.
Walter I'm 86, it's at the end of my handle on here. Rubberworm, I'm in the US, I live outside of Philadelphia. I found out about QREDF after walterc mentioned it on the LWLG message board on Yahoo. I'm unsure if you're questioning if we are the same person but if so you can look these same usernames up on Yahoo and all the posts should give you a clear indication that these are two different people.

Niobium is used to make NASA's ground breaking amplifier. Just a small excerpt.
" One of the important features of the parametric amplifier, as described recently in the journal Nature Physics is that it uses superconductor materials. These materials enable an electric current flow with zero resistance when lowered to certain temperatures. For their new amplifier, the researchers are using titanium nitride (TiN) and niobium titanium nitride (NbTiN), which have the ideal properties to allow the pump signal to amplify the weak signal.
Even though the device has a range of possible applications, the researchers built the device specifically to boost astronomy microwave signals. The design could also be used to build amplifiers that help astronomers observe in a broad range of wavelengths, from radio waves to ultraviolet waves to X rays.
For example, the researchers say, the device can amplify radio signals from faint sources like distant galaxies, black holes, or other far away cosmic objects. Boosting signals in millimeter to submillimeter wavelengths, between radio and infrared, will enable astronomers to study the cosmic microwave background (the afterglow of the big bang), as well as to gaze beyond the clouds of galactic dust to study the births of stars, or investigate ancient galaxies.
Since the instrument is so responsive and brings in minimal levels of noise, it could also be used to explore the quantum world. As one example, Caltech applied physics professor Keith Schwab is planning to use the new amplifier in measuring the behavior of tiny mechanical devices that run in the region between classical physics and the exotic world of quantum mechanics. The amplifier could also be used in the development quantum computers. Still beyond our technological reach, these computers of the future would be able to solve some of science’s hardest problems much more quickly than any regular computer.
What I wonder, is if some undergrad lab tech is going to borrow the blueprints, build one of these in his basement, and hook it up to the sub-woofers in his 2005 Acura. Could be an earth-shaking event."

Here's a nice article that highlights the main facets from Q2. Progress is moving along. I picked up more shares this past week @ $3 to lower my cost basis to around $4.

Avita Reports Strong Sales Growth & Clinical Trial Progress for ReCell Spray-On-Skin
Jeff Ramson Thu, Aug 09, 2012 @ 09:43 AM
Avita Medical (AVH.AX) (AVMXY) is a global med-tech company that develops and distributes highly innovative products in Regenerative and Respiratory Medicine. The Company's regenerative and tissue-engineered products provide revolutionary solutions utilizing a patient's own skin and the regenerative capability of the human body to treat a wide range of wounds, scars and skin defects.
ReCell® Spray-On Skin™ is a stand-alone, rapid cell harvesting device that enables surgeons to treat wounds and skin defects using a very small sample of the patient's own cells. Using a postage stamp-sized tissue sample (as opposed to a large skin graft), the surgeon can prepare a stem cell rich suspension within 30 minutes at the point of care. This spray-on skin can treat a burn 80 times the size of the tissue sample, a significant improvement over skin grafting, which has much more limited expansion in wound coverage and is often extremely painful, disfiguring and infection-prone. As early as 5-7 days post ReCell treatment, new skin typically emerges with minimal to no scarring and proper texture and pliancy. ReCell has enormous market potential because it is applicable in multiple indications, including burns, chronic wounds (such as venous leg ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers), and plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. ReCell is generating early revenues in several key geographical regions. ReCell® Spray-On Skin™ is patented, CE marked for the EU and TGA registered in Australia. Most recently, it received sFDA approval in China. In the US, ReCell is in late stage clinical studies with funding from two grants from the US Dept. of Defense. Below is a summary of ongoing US (FDA) clinical trials.
ReCell® Spray-On Skin™ is in pivotal studies for treatment of burns with FDA submission targeted for the second half of 2013. ReCell is also being evaluated in a pilot clinical study for scar remodeling for cosmetic medicine/scar aesthetics that is expected to be completed in late 2012-early 2013 and used as the basis for a pivotal FDA study of ReCell for scar remodeling.
Avita Medical also commercializes med-tech devices for respiratory disease, including spacers (used in conjunction with inhalers to aid in the delivery of medications directly to the lungs). Avita’s Breath-A-Tech product is one of Australia’s leading hospital-grade spacers designed to aid in the delivery of inhaled medications.
In late July, Avita provided a financial and operational update for the end of Fiscal Year 2012 (FY12) on 6/30/12, including the following highlights:
- total revenue increased 13% during FY12 ($5.2 million vs. $4.5 million) including an 88% increase in ReCell Spray-On Skin
- increased gross margins from 72% to 76% from Q1 to Q4 with 73% margins for full-year FY12
- gross profit increased by 17% to $4.2 million with a ($5 million) operating loss during FY12 reflecting an expansion phase for the Company focused on ReCell clinical development and sales/marketing initiatives focused on regenerative medicine as a key growth driver
- received additional regulatory approvals for ReCell in Russia, Mid-East and China while progressing US (FDA) clinical development as outlined above
- obtained full ownership of ReCell in addition to being granted key European patent covering broad claims and trademark protection for “Spray-On Skin” along with the submission of three new patent applications in the US
ReCell is the key growth driver for Avita.
I'm not long but I bought in today. I'm glad I waited, I almost bought in the low 10's, so glad I waited.
The one chick needs to learn how to speak more professionally. She sounds like an 8th grader doing her first speech off of note cards.
Showing 7.35 right now, not too bad.
More shares trading below the bid today. I think I'm going to put in orders for .10 and cross my fingers.
There's virtually no diversity in Niobium production. It would really get interesting if something were to interfere with production at CMBB in Brazil. They handle about 85% of the demand iirc.
Seems like a nice 10% upside in the short term. I'm a little worried that they could maintain the dividend. What do you think Joker?
Share price after a partnership? I'm curious what everyone thinks this would go to if Quantum announced a partnership with a large company. I don't have much to base my opinion on but I would expect it to go over $1.00 at the very least.
I can't see any specific reason for it. Something I notice though is when the market makes a big move up most of my speculative stocks go down during that uptrend and then down the next trading day. I think some people sell shares to raise capital or margin power to buy things that will follow the market swing. This brings the share price down on an up day for the market. Other investors see that their penny stock went down on an up day and think this is a bad sign and then they sell shares. It doesn't take much to move this stock.
Like I said before, as verified by Shawn Westcott, he was selling shares of other companies as well to pay this tax bill. To be honest if the company I worked for was paying me in shares and a unexpected expense came up I would sell something too. Especially if I had 5 million shares. You can speculate it anyway you want but someone who shells out his own money to go from 4 million to 5 million shares must see something significant here.
After a third day of having my higher limit order bypassed for a lessor bid I called E-Trade. The end conclusion was that most likely the MM is bypassing my order and that in unregulated exchanges like this one it's not unheard of. The agent said it could also be a fixed transaction. Either way it's unfortunate if today someone sold into the market assuming my order will be the price he gets only to have it go to a 5% lower order.
I'm not sure how you're taking my post as something negative. According to management he is no longer selling, that's a good thing. Knowing he has millions of shares makes the amount he sold less significant to me since we now know it was very a small % of his holdings. The guys salary is paid in shares and on top of that spent a lot of his own money buying QREDF shares. If there was impending doom I doubt the Director would be the first one who gets to sell out.
Good news, Jody Dahrouge is done selling shares. I know someone on this board sold their shares because of the uncertainty his selling caused, hopefully you read this as you may want to buy back in. Here is information that I know as fact and has been verified by Shawn Westcott via e-mail. Jody had a large tax bill to pay in Canada and he had to sell off 10% of QREDF holdings as well as shares he held of other companies to pay it off. Jody is no longer selling shares and infact is the largest QREDF shareholder at around 5 million shares.
What prompted me to email Shawn was information I read on this message board. Link If you go midway down you'll see emails posted from Shawn and Jody to the user posting. The page is mostly in German but the emails are not. If you use Google Chrome it will translate the whole page for you. Something else interesting in those emails Jody states that he actually bought 1 million shares not long before he began selling.
I'm sure many are not happy about Jody's selling, but for those of us who invested later or anyone buying now he has created a artificially low entry price.
I'm glad they finally PR'd it. That is good news for us, and a indicator that positive results came from the AZ testing.
I'm showing 9,450 shares traded in a days range of .12-.138. That .138 was a 1000 shares traded, and the first of the day, I saw it. The .12 was the majority of shares traded. Etrade shows the last trade was at .126. insert-text-here. Now yesterday it went down to .121 but I only got 3571 on the way down.
Buying more QREDF... at least I'm trying to. I have a limit order in for .126 but twice in the past two days thousands of shares have been executing to someones lower buy order. I've never had this trouble with Etrade before, think it's a broker problem?
Bob is correct, expect a PR tomorrow.
No PR yet Walter, some of us LWLG investors are so desperate for news we find it before it even is news.
If you have linkedin you can check it out here:

It's interesting that he came from Arizona to work for them.
Man what a tease that was Atletico. Oh well, it's still good news for the company none the less.
Avita CEO interview, a reason I own this stock.
interview
I want those that pass through here to see video in the link above. I bought into Avita after stumbling across a random youtube video about ReCell back when F shares were 10cents. I spend alot of time on the market and I have faith in Avita. I've been adding Y shares gradually. Now obviously the technology is a game changer but there are endless companies with great technology but because of poor leadership they fail. I watched this interview with the CEO months ago and it helped galvanize my belief that this will be a solid investment.
The important part for me as an investor starts around 5:35 Dolphin makes it fairly clear that his expertise and overall goal is to build this up and then sell it.
Good luck too all.
Avita and China
So it's expected that Avita will begin to generate sales in China in the 4th quarter of this year. I think it is safe to assume that with no competing products on the market Avita stands a good chance of meeting their targeted sales. I believe some savvy Chinese investors will take notice of this new product in their country and perhaps buy on our exchange.
Avita
Clipped from the link above :
Dr William Dolphin, CEO of Avita Medical, said, “China is a massive and highly attractive market for the
company’s products. ReCell addresses the growing demand for cosmetic surgery, scar revision and the
treatment of burns and chronic wounds. The product is being targeted to China’s burgeoning middle
class, a rapidly growing segment of the country’s 1.3 billion people. With SFDA approval in place, the
Company is focused on obtaining pricing approval and introducing ReCell to China’s key surgeons and
clinicians. We are garnering significant support from influential Chinese surgeons and making steady
progress toward our goal of commercial launch in 4Q 2012.”
It has to pass the Senate now. The Senate is 53 Democrats/47 Republicans. If the voting goes same as the House went all the Republicans will vote for it and 8% of the Democrats will as well, which is 4/5 Democrats. So it would go 51/49 or 52/48 in our favor.
BUT in November Democrats have 23 seats up for election and Republicans only 10. I expect that the Republicans will regain control of the Senate after those elections. Will the new Senators be in office when this Bill gets voted on? I would say yes, it took the House over 3 months to pass 4402. It ALWAYS takes the Senate longer, now factor in that the whole month of August into part of September the Senate is on vacation, they have time off in November and January 1-22nd. That's a big offset in time in our favor.
Link to the Senate calender if anyone wants it.

Excellent news that it passed the House. Passing the Strategic and Critical Minerals Production Act will add tangible value to QREDF. QREDF is talking to companies that want to either partner or buy us out. The less red tape these companies will have to deal with the sooner they'll be able to profit off the Niobium, the more appealing we are. The purpose of this Bill is to speed up the development of resources like ours.
Possibly, they have pushed it back two weeks farther than the prior ASM.
That's good info. I'm excited that it's comparable to the Iamgold mine because Niobium was worth much less when Iamgold decided it was worth digging for.
You're asking the question that you almost never know the answer to with a speculative stock. "When" Fortunately we all aren't wondering if but when something will happen. I almost hope that it takes a year to make some serious movement because I want to avoid short term capital gains taxes.
